Seven Deadly Sins is on break this week

Robot x Laserbeam has unfortunately ended in the recent issue of Weekly Shounen Jump. Had a good run, but golf doesn’t have the same appeal as it did when Nakaba Suzuki ran Rising Impact in 1998 in Weekly Shounen Jump

New Jump Start this week: Sougou Jikan Jigyou Gaisha Daihyou Torishimariyaku Shachou Senzoku Hisho Tanaka Seiji (General Time Company Director President Special Secretary Seiji Tanaka) by Keiji Amatsuka, is an interesting time travel adventure type story in the vein of Terminator. Nagato Tokioka is the president of General Time Industries, but he’s at risk of being assassinated in the past by agents from Vortex Corp. His secretary, Seiji Tanaka, uses the time travel tech they’ve adapted for their business ventures to travel back 20 years and save the president when he’s 17 to preserve the company’s existence. There are battle elements along with a comedy angle, but it seems like it could be in the vein of Assassination Classroom as the English editor suggested in a comment.

Dr. Stone 64

Chrome’s group arrives, Chrome shouting loudly about how they’re so close, which Gen quickly silences.

But Chrome bumps into one of the many statues, Magma noticing numbers on their foreheads written in blood. Gen thinks these are the order of priority for revival. Since the lowest number is 33, there are at least 32 people revived.

Chrome realizes that with this, even if they manage to convince most of Tsukasa’s group to join, he can still increase his numbers afterwards.

Magma wonders if they couldn’t just smash or break the statues so their fighting force is weakened, Gen thinking it wouldn’t be the worst idea, even though Chrome says it’s horrible to even think about it

As Magma prepares to smash one, Gen seems to remember the face of one of them, stopping the axe before it strikes. He thinks it’s a bit pathetic that he had a moment of weakness like this, but Tsukasa’s willingness to do such a thing to statues is what makes him so dangerous.

Chrome says they have a higher goal here and that they just have to recruit people faster than Tsukasa’s army can grow

They come across a grave, Gen saying it’s Senkuu’s (at least from Tsukasa’s view) as we learn from Senkuu himself that that place will be the drop off point, since it’s of no interest to Tsukasa.

The trio then move to hide the infrastructure, burying most of the receiver. There’s a rock in the way, Magma smashing it, which causes a high pitched sound that is noticed by someone

As they hide to make sure no one saw them, Magma thinks it’s no big deal, but Gen warns them that some people in the kingdom have especially good hearing

An arrow narrowly misses them as they flee from the person, who thinks he heard something in their direction, but not finding them

The next day, Senkuu’s group waits back at Ishigami for a response, hoping that none of Tsukasa’s villagers finds it.

Taiju and Yuzuriha, realizing that they’re being watched, pull just the receiver from the ground, the screams of Taiju to Senkuu interpreted as wails of mourning by a nearby villager.

The chapter ends as the next step of the plan has been complete, establishing radio connections to Tsukasa’s kingdom.

We Never Learn 68

Yuiga flees from the stage, seemingly thinking his work is done, while Fumino manages to ad lib an ending that captivates the audience.

Some people wonder about who the prince was, and also why Fumino helped with him escaping with her distraction, finding a flyer for Rizu’s class’s udon shop

Meanwhile, Yuiga is in what appears to be the AV room, thinking about the kiss and whether it really counts

He comes out and encounters Satou and Suzuki, who take the costume to Mafuyu for her lecture

Yuiga then meets up with Kashima and the others, who are angry at him for missing his cue. They’re also ready to beat up the costumed prince from before, Yuiga keeping it secret that he was said prince. He wonders if Furuhashi even knew it was him 

Fumino relaxes after the play and sees Asumi. She mistakenly thinks it was her senpai that donned the costume, thinking the kiss was perfectly innocent. But Asumi corrects her quickly, saying she was with Satou and Suzuki getting treated to food during the play.

This makes Fumino panic at not knowing who she had her “first kiss” with, Asumi still wondering where her guitar was (which was why Fumino first thought it was Asumi in the costume)

Meanwhile, Mafuyu’s lecture is going better than Satou and Suzuki thought, her performance with Uruka’s group making her popular with the students.

Yuiga is equally shocked when he sees a crowd forming at Rizu’s udon shop, Rizu saying that people thought her class had some guy called Prince (mistaking the word for prince for someone’s last name), which allowed them to have a burst of customers.

In the end, they still only sold a bit over 600, but Yuiga still thinks they can sell more by changing up the toppings.

Rizu is impressed at Yuiga’s ingenuity, saying they could start a shop together, which people around them think means she’s proposing they get engaged or such.

Yuiga notices something off about the udon, the two almost having a Lady and the Tramp moment with the noodle. A kid comments that they’re like lovers, Yuiga saying that it’s something like that as the chapter ends with Rizu confused (possibly Yuiga thinking of a new way to advertise the udon shop).

Fire Force 132

As Licht leaves, Gleo says that he won’t bring them Shinra Kusakabe, planning to kill him instead. Intent on making it look like an accident, they say it’ll be easy in Haijima, especially since Licht doesn’t have any other skills

Back at the 8th, Vulcan and Lisa work on inventions, the engineer saying his assistant can take the day off. He tells Shinra about how he was pursued by Haijima and Dr. Giovanni, who hurt Lisa, not willing to let them get away with that.

Shinra and Arthur bicker as the knight accuses Shinra of being a spy, but Vulcan stops them with his inventions.

They ask Shinra about being at Haijima, where he explains that he was taken in by them after the fire when he was 5 since his powers were still unstable, getting training with their devices. He comments that they didn’t view the kids as anything more than test subjects, giving them no compassion

Licht appears, telling the others to join him in the meeting room, where he reveals that he’s a Haijima spy to everyone.

Oubi and others say they had already suspected him, Licht specifying that he was targeting Shinra because of his access to the Adora Burst.

Shinra, however, didn’t show signs of the Adora Burst in his childhood, Haijima letting him go to firefighter school at 13. When they realized he had it afterwards, they became more focused in their experiments, likely connected to the kids we’ve seen that are being exploited 

Hinawa objects to the idea of handing Shinra over, but Licht suggests they use this as an opportunity to further investigate Haijima, since he doesn’t know much about their skill development facility, where the kids are being tortured to gain new powers

Shinra says they have to do this, especially since the Church won’t reveal anything about Amaterasu for years, needing to save those kids as soon as possible

Oubi agrees, but says the 8th as a whole will participate in this. He asks Licht which side he’s on, the scientist saying he’s about pursuing truth (similar to Joker) and sticks with whoever is closer to it, in this case, the 8th.

The chapter ends as we see the child from a few chapters ago, Nataku, being guided by a mentor that calls himself Shinigami (Grim Reaper)

Black Clover 163

As Asta uses his third antimagic sword to try and break the reincarnation spell, it seems it won’t be that easy as Rufulu continues to resist, releasing massive amounts of magic.

Vanessa and Magna try to stop him as well, the scene shifting to inside Luck’s soul as he’s confused. He sees a vision of his mother, moving to her, since he thinks no one else loves him.

Rufulu threatens to destroy his body and soul by overloading himself with magic, Vanessa observing that the elf may become something else even more evil, similar to the Poison Plant Magic Knight Asta and Yuno defeated (teasing that the elves have a connection to the Demon King, which we were told about by the Witch Queen)

The elf’s rage at his loved ones being taken from him is acknowledged by Asta, but he also says that Luck is the Black Bull’s friend and Rufulu dishonors the memories of his friends and family with his behavior.

Luck bids farewell to his mother, saying there’re still things he can do. We then see his memories of meeting the Black Bulls as well as Rufulu’s memories of the first Wizard King talking about how humans and elves can be friends.

Rufulu’s soul is dispersed as he tells Asta he would’ve wanted to be friends with humans like Luck’s friends.

Luck cries as he awakens, appreciating his friends in the Black Bulls, Magna affirming this as well as the chapter ends

One Piece 909

We begin by seeing the Mink Tribe Guardians waiting for Nekomamushi to come back with Marco, former right hand of the Whitebeard Pirates

Marco is treating a hurt animal with his Phoenix Zoan Devil Fruit’s powers, Nekomamushi learning from him that the village he’s in was Whitebeard’s homeland. One of many unallied countries that couldn’t pay the Heavenly Tribute to the World Government, Whitebeard offered his support in secret even though he had no people close to him there.

The crew wanted to keep Whitebeard’s homeland safe, even fighting Blackbeard in the 2 years after the Summit War. Marco tears up at how kind his captain was, using his portion of the treasure to help this village, the crew knowing anyway.

Weevil still poses a threat, his mother (formerly of Whitebeard’s crew in the past) making him attack anyone associated with his supposed father. Marco leaves Nekomamushi a message to give to Luffy, since he’s heading to Wano

We shift over to Wano, where Franky, Usopp, Robin are acclimating themselves to the society, since Kinemon warns them that if they attack any of the higher ups, Kaidou will react harshly.

But Zoro, accused of being a murderer and grave robber of Ryuuma’s remains and sword Shusui is being forced to commit ritual suicide. He takes the seppuku blade, tiny and without a hilt, slashing his accuser from a distance as the chapter ends with him apologizing to Kinemon for breaking his promise

My Hero Academia 189

Hawks and the other Heroes continue to take out the Noumu and evacuate the citizens, while the news reports the situation, especially with Endeavor’s grievous injury

But the Hellflame Hero gets up and tries to attack again, but High End knocks him back, causing more damage to the city, which threatens to make things even worse than Kamino three months ago when All Might and All For One fought

The citizens are panicking, pushing each other around in the chaos, as a reporter says that this situation is what happens without a symbol of peace.

Todoroki, along with others at U.A. dorms, are still trying to process this, but we see the Endeavor fan from before on TV, telling the press to stop focusing on All Might’s influence and look at Endeavor, whose flames are still burning now

High End is pursued by Endeavor, barely managing to keep himself standing with his flames.

Hawks offers support with his feathers, saying that Endeavor was the only person who tried to keep up with All Might even though it seemed impossible

The chapter ends as we see that Hawks’ feathers are actually enhancing Endeavor’s speed enough to catch up to High End, Endeavor ready to finish the Noumu off.
