MSR Build King Bonus

So Build King’s final volume has been fan translated (I will buy the volumes when Viz releases them, likely digital only), 5 chapters wrapping up the story. Hopefully it’ll be somewhat satisfactory in spite of still probably having to axe story points and, from what I’ve seen, has a time skip near the end, as is often the case

Chapter 21

We learn from Haka that Two By Four is one of the legendary 5 Beasts, as old as the dinosaurs and one of the most powerful House Beasts. As he remembers his past, growing up in a place even worse than Konechika’s, where corpses piled up and he was born within them, he desires to reduce everything to an empty plot, his resentment what made Bill Carpenter recruit him into Satan Hills. But Two By Four says the strongest Vigor is love, blasting him with Chimney Cannon after transforming

Chapter 22

Haka passes on, channeling all his vitality into a final attack, but lets it crystallize instead after seeing a vision of a home that feels familiar, his Luck Vigor recognized as special by Two By Four. We see Tonkachi and Renga accept Two By Four as their family, seemingly having a link that goes back aeons to when the House Beast was first found, nurtured by their love and retaining it, since it’s also a Build King with special properties.

Chapter 23

As we see concluded battles between other people in the Buildon Exam, no one seemingly having lost to Satan Hills (so was the Buildon Exam intended as a final arc or was there meant to be losses and this had to be merged with the actual more final fights?), Two By Four appears with Tonkachi, Renga and Konechika, the Buildon Association’s top members appearing. The House Beast explains how the original Build Masters constructed all the Build Kings. But Tonkachi and Renga’s ancestors (confirmed explicitly) possessed Vigor that could threaten the world’s balance and so Tonkachi’s ancestor was killed in a fight, leading to Two By Four smashing a giant Build King called Nail Tower with Anger Hammer, which led to Hammer Island’s formation and the beginning of the Skyscraper Era.

Chapter 24

The Buildon Organization claims they want to take Two By Four in, Tonkachi realizing that he can’t really take responsibility and rebuild half of the world that was rendered a wasteland by the House Beast’s power. But it seems that the goal of capture would be impossible. And Bill Carpenter, head of Satan Hills, manages to have beaten all the other executives, his Quantum Vigor exceptionally dangerous. Jiru manages to remove him from Renga, but the threat of the Darkness Vigor being utilized remains, Two By Four unable to do much more than smash Satan Hills with a thrown boulder.

Chapter 25 (END)

While Eriki manages to pass the Buildon License exam, Tonkachi and the others agree to try again, Smith changing the date to a later time so the venue can be repaired. Two By Four explains that the other 5 Beasts may still be around and can help others that have talent like Tonkachi and Renga (what would’ve likely been the main cast, about 4-5 other characters, like Cork and Konechika). We also see a conflict building between Bill and Shovel, seemingly having a past together as a family (not unlike Acacia and Midora in Toriko), the threat of Dark Vigor in Bill’s hands making Satan Hills potentially stronger than the Build Kings. 10 years pass after we see Tonkachi and Renga begin the Buildon License exam and Tonkachi returns to Hammer Island to create a Build King as the series ends
