My Hero Academia is off this week
New Jump Start this week: Alice and
Taiyo by Takahide Totsuno, is a slice of life series with music elements. Taiyo
is a shy unassuming student, but Alice, a transfer student who was living in
America and gained popularity because of her singing talent and outgoing
personality, recognizes Taiyo’s music. The pair then team up to become a great
musical duo, Alice’s voice and ear for music working well with Taiyo’s natural
talent and drawing attention to her so he doesn’t feel as shy.

Taiju and Yuzuriha both talk to
Senkuu, Taiju yelling out stuff that the villager nearby interprets as them
mourning his death anniversary or such, the rest whispers about his
accomplishments and their secret alliance
Senkuu says they need to get to
business, the first thing to do is get a villager where the cellphone is, Taiju
trusting Senkuu when he says this will have the lead bloodshed
But Senkuu becomes suspicious when
Taiju brings up that the cellphone is buried deep in the ground
We shift to see Gen’s group hiding
from who he reveals is named Ukyo, his hearing exceptionally good. Magma wants
to attack, but they don’t know where Ukyo is and hiding in a thicket makes them
sitting ducks, since they would cause noise by leaving. Gen discerns they were
probably led into there by Ukyo
Chrome notes they need to have at
least Gen escape to initiate their plans to deceive Tsukasa’s kingdom, Magma
having an idea to accomplish that. It just turns out to be using Chrome as a
decoy, but this gives Chrome an idea
He brings out the spare batteries
for the cellphone, connecting the wires to generate heat and cause a fire
nearby. As it erupts, Chrome then runs, screaming to occupy Ukyo’s attention as
Gen runs away, hiding the sound of his retreat
Magma follows suit, Gen taking the
opportunity to flee as it seems like Magma or Chrome may have been hit by one
of Ukyo’s arrows
We shift back to Ishigami Village,
Kaseki having made a spring that will allow the record to play as smoothly as
possible
Gen arrives, asking who he needs to
convince first as we shift back to Tsukasa’s village as Taiju approaches the
guard we saw before that was listening to them as the chapter ends.
We Never Learn 69
Uruka is feeding Yuiga noodles, the
lovers thing at the end of last chapter connected to a plan so that the udon
can sell better. But Yuiga’s still acting embarrassed, obvious to bystanders
that they’re just decoys.
When Yuiga asks why Uruka’s still
wearing the outfit from the live show, she gets flustered, saying it’s to show
appreciation to the clothes, the two of them blushing and looking more like
lovers
Asumi helps advertise the udon even
more, saying that with the special arrangement, that if you eat it, it’ll be
like the jinx connected to the fireworks show for lovers, which draws in people
Fumino hands out some udon and runs
into Asumi and Yuiga. As Yuiga remembers the kiss she gave him in the costume,
he tries to forget, while Fumino thinks it couldn’t be her first kiss.
Mafuyu tries to tell the students to
clean up, since the festival is soon to end, but decides to let them have more
fun.
Outside in the school courtyard,
people are still eating the udon, Sekijo congratulating Rizu on having sold all
1000 bowls. We also see Kobayashi in a prince outfit as his girlfriend Umihara
thinks he looks really cool.
Meanwhile, Rizu thanks everyone for
helping, not used to getting so much assistance, since she’s not good with
socializing and such. She especially is grateful to Yuiga, who’s exhausted from
all the exertion that day.
As the fireworks start, Umihara and
Kawase as well as Sekijo and the Thorn Society all conspire to take advantage
of the urban legend, pushing Uruka, Rizu and Fumino onto Yuiga
The four crash into Mafuyu and
Asumi, but the fireworks don’t go off as expected, to the group’s frustration
But as they go off, Yuiga grasps
hands with someone who helps him up, though he can’t see their face.
The chapter ends as he wonders if
the superstition really worked, though he doesn’t know who he was touching when
the fireworks went off
Fire Force 133
Nataku and Shinigami begin their
fight, the child asking when he can go home and his “parent” saying he won’t
stop until he’s dead.
As he remembers Rekka’s encouraging
words, Nataku moves to fight Shinigami, his form changing as he continues to
activate his abilities.
The scientists note that he’s
becoming more powerful, but not showing any signs of the Adora Burst, but they conclude
it should be okay if they can get their data even if the child dies.
Shinigami, real name Kurono, is said
to be incredibly powerful, on par with Benimaru, the 7th Division captain said
to be the strongest in the brigades. And this is in spite of Ash Disease
affecting Shinigami’s right arm, blackened and charred.
Nataku is taken away, possibly dead,
as the scientists compliment Kurono, wondering why he continues to do something
like this.
Shinigami says he enjoys provoking
the weak and everyone in his eyes is far weaker than him, even the scientists
who observe him.
He asks about Shinra’s eventual
arrival, wanting to fight him as well.
Shinra tells Licht as they head to
Haijima about how he remembers someone from the facility, clearly meant to be
Shinigami.
The chapter ends as we see a
flashback, Shinigami restrained and wanting to fight the kids, his ash disease
progression driving him insane.
Black Clover 164
Vanessa, Magna and Luck bicker as
they used to, Vanessa having saved people from the destruction in the fight
between Magna and Luck with her String Magic, Magna not wanting to be as
emotional as he was previously, caught up in the moment.
Asta explains roughly what Yuno
suggested to him about his new antimagic sword being able to negate magic and
its effects, saying that this can defeat the reincarnation magic
Everyone’s a bit sad about having to
kill Rufulu, but Luck says he was smiling in the end. The group, after learning
from Vanessa that more of the lights indicating the reincarnation magic were
close to the capital, heads to the Black Bull base, which is also nearby
Luck, having remembered how Rufulu
used his mana, has gotten even stronger, using his Lightning Magic to pull
Asta, Vanessa and Magna with him as he flies towards the base.
The base is destroyed, likely by
Gauche, Grey, Gordon and Henry all defeated and barely talking.
Magna is confused by Henry, Asta
explaining that he got to know the oldest member of the Black Bulls at some
point, able to hang out with him since he has no magic.
But when they learn about Gauche being
possessed by an elf and having headed to the capital, the group moves to leave.
Out of nowhere, Charmy appears,
seeming to be possessed as well. It’s actually just sauce that looks like the
markings for the reincarnation magic and she’s angry that they destroyed her
secret vegetable garden.
She reveals that, with her Cotton
Creation Magic, she can make food that restores magic power to others. Henry
even joins in, Charmy just preparing more to compensate for the lost mana.
We see Henry is really happy to be
with the Black Bulls as they explain the situation with Yami, Noelle and the
others.
With his special magic, he restores
the Black Bulls’ base, transforming it into a giant bull shape as they head
towards the capital with the chapter’s end.
One Piece 910
Luffy and the others are happy to
learn about how things are going at Reverie, Luffy happy about Shirahoshi finally
going to the surface and Sanji ecstatic about all the princesses (technically a
prince himself in a way, even though Germa has been evicted from the World
Government). Even Chopper is delighted to see Doctor Kureha, he and Sanji
cutting out pieces from the newspaper, to Nami’s irritation
Brooke asks Luffy about calling the
crew in Wano, but they don’t respond to the Den Den Mushi
Nami comments that the weather is
getting much more dangerous as they get closer to Wano, Kinemon having warned
them that there was a barrier to entry along with the dangerous winds and
waves.
The group is confused by an octopus
on the ship that’s been there in a few panels before, seemingly summoning giant
carp to surround them.
Luffy, after hearing from Sanji how
delicious the carp can be, jumps on one to get it for their reunion party
The carp continue to drag the ship
along with the currents up to a waterfall that they swim up.
Luffy, tying some of the carp to the
ship, manages to allow the group to follow them up the otherwise unassailable
falls. As the group reaches the top, they’re sucked into a whirlpool
Only Luffy wakes up, separated from
the others by the bizarre phenomena before, the ship on its side
He sees and hears a giant dog-like
animal, and the chapter ends as what appears to be a baboon holding 2 samurai
swords that squares off against them
Seven Deadly Sins 273
Hawk talks to Gowther about how weird Estarossa is,
the doll telling Hawk about his past
We see Demon Gowther telling Doll Gowther about his
plans to end the Holy War 3000 years ago, sacrificing himself to cast a forbidden
spell, which will alter the memories of everyone, even the Demon King and
Supreme Goddess, making them forget about a single person and remember things
differently.
This entity, so important overall, being forgotten
will force the Goddess Clan to use the Coffin of Eternal Darkness. Demon
Gowther requires some of Doll Gowther’s magic to cast the spell, sad to make
him responsible as well
Meanwhile in the present, King thanks Derriere for
helping, though she says she wants to stop Estarossa. But she, Sariel and
Tarmiel are confused as their memories of him seem to be changing in some way
The group arrives at Heaven’s Theater, seeing Estarossa’s
dark form that’s absorbed Elizabeth, everyone attacking him
Gowther notes that the memory alteration spell could
become undone if someone’s memories are altered in some manner otherwise, the
causality following to everyone else by association over time.
Back at Heaven’s Theater, Derriere says there’s no
one like Estarossa in the Ten Commandments now that her memory’s returning to
normal, while Sariel and Tarmiel are shocked that they can’t remember Mael’s
face, Estarossa just blaming Meliodas
Elizabeth tells Estarossa that it isn’t Meliodas’
fault as she remembers talking with Meliodas about how he wanted to help
Zeldris and Gelda
We learn that Meliodas’ only brother was Zeldris and
that the person in the flashback with Elizabeth talking about a hurt dog wasn’t
Estarossa, that name actually given to the dog Elizabeth was holding.
Everyone’s memories return to the true form,
“Estarossa” actually of the Goddess Clan and Rueduciel his older brother he
admired.
It’s revealed that “Estarossa” was actually Mael of
the Four Archangels, thought to be dead
The chapter ends as the dark form Mael had taken as
Estarossa breaks away to reveal his Goddess Clan wings.
