Suwa’s group assesses what is likely the situation for every squad in the provisional exam, the resource management aspect established quickly enough as well as other requirements, including the Operators having a separate room for doing their daily reports and that every member must spend one night in a capsule bed. And after doing the universal assignments, there are those that will be able to be done for more achievements. But as the group is doing the initial assignments, a special one comes up, which shocks them as to what it is (left unknown to us, the readers)
4 Knights of the Apocalypse 17-21
Percival’s group heads to stop Ironside, though Anne tells them that Sin, who’s going to stay behind and prepare for other outcomes, is lying about something, able to tell with her power, even if it’s just slight. The others say they’ll trust him and she goes along with them. Ironside, with the initial part of the ritual, has animated various inanimate objects to grab sacrifices and he unleashes his magic force, the pressure immense. Percival attacks, but Ironside is able to cancel it out and says he needs to discipline his son.
Ironside still easily deflects and keeps Percival from damaging the relic, Anne intervening when he moves to cut him down, revealing she wants to be a Holy Knight like her mother before her. Her blouse is torn, but she reveals a half shirt/corset underneath, still ready to fight, Nasiens having assisted to weaken Ironside with his poison magic.
Ironside unleashes a powerful spell, Percival able to help everyone recover, while Donny, having run away, is divided about helping bystanders. Things don’t look good though, as Ironside pummels and stabs his son multiple times, impaling his chest as a finisher, planning to complete the ritual and destroy Liones
Nasiens and Anne try to keep Ironside from completing the ritual, their courage and hope in Percival still somehow managing to survive by a narrow margin manages to revive him, his magic manifesting the tiny versions of him as Donny returns reluctantly, also encouraged by Percival’s enthusiasm and confidence. And Percival rescues the group from Ironside’s attack, his father trying to finish him off again, seeing the magic as too dangerous.
The power of hope that Percival has inspired empowers him with his magic, Ironside’s deception seen by Anne as Percival moves to dodge his father’s attacks and destroys the Coffin, breaking it into pieces. Ironside’s helmet is split, revealing his face, much like Varghese, Percival’s grandfather
Candy Flurry 7-10
Umino’s revealed to be more capable than he realizes, having been encouraged by Irie when he first was pulled into training with the Recette by his father. He takes down an agent easily, wanting to impress Irie when he learns she’s at the testing site. But as they go to get the Confeito, little sugar candies that enhance physical performance, an unknown person has seemingly infiltrated the exam, not a participant himself.
The new participant is a Popcorn User (okashi in Japanese can mean more than just sweets, more broad snacks category), his kernels able to explode. Umino holds him off while Tsumugi tries to evacuate the other candidates, but he’s mostly trying to show off for Irie (even though the cameras are damaged) and gets severely injured. But then Tsumugi intervenes, saying the Popcorn User is the real loser, taking advantage of people’s weaknesses.
Tsumugi and the Popcorn User bicker over which snack is better while fighting to beat each other, a strong baseball motif involved with Tsumugi as the batter against the popcorn pitches. She surprises him by actually using the lollipop stick to extend and strike him, seemingly at an advantage now.
The Popcorn User is taken away by another member of the organization they work for who uses gum, headed by the true Lollipop User that destroyed Tokyo. And Misaki is given more credit, piling on with his achievements of supposedly taking down the Donut and Macaron users before, the organization’s leader shown as he plans to eventually kill Tsumugi
Dr. Stone 199-202
The groups plan to split up, Xeno building the rocket engine while Senkuu rebuilds the Perseus to further discover alloys to improve the final product of the spaceship from the initial stainless steel they’ve developed. And Xeno, aware of the risks involved, takes it upon himself to be a “villain” of sorts, dealing with potential poisons and such that others aren’t aware of. The Superalloy City is founded, Senkuu the light contrasting with Xeno’s darkness to improve their scientific accomplishments.
In order to fuel the new Perseus ship, Senkuu proposes biofuel and after they finish a basic gas turbine engine, there are 3 groups formed: one to stay in Superalloy City to continue the rocket engine improvements, one to return to Corn City and revive production there and the third will travel to found the other cities and circle around to finish the spaceship. And the crossing of the Atlantic will only take a week with the new engine improving the Perseus 2.0
As Senkuu’s group continues travelling, they all have to learn Morse code for communications across the globe. But things get more complex as Why Man communicates in a different manner than before, his message now more threatening, “Do You Want To Die?”. But it’s also not responding to Senkuu’s messages, so they think it’ll be okay to focus on acquiring the three important things for the moon mission: spacesuits, rocket engine and a spaceship. The next step is Barcelona to get fluorite for spacesuits
The group arrives in Barcelona, where they get virgin olive oil and also have churros, showing respect to the local culture as they revive some of the residents. Ryusui intends to pay them with new hard currency they’ve minted and they’ll assist in mining the fluorite.
My Hero Academia 315-318
Deku combines One For All’s latent Quirks together to stop Lady Nagant and save Chisaki, but as he saves her from falling and convinces her that she’s still a Hero at heart, All For One initiates a failure clause in his “contract” when giving Nagant Air Walk, setting off an explosion, though Hawks narrowly saves her from falling to her doom.
Endeavor helps Deku, who assists Hawks, still unable to quite fly as well. Hawks and Deku’s inspiration pushes Nagant to explain what her mission was before she falls unconscious. The group goes to the location she described, but All For One had tricked them, setting the place to explode as he finishes a speech still railing against the hypocrisy of Quirk society
Foreign Heroes are set to arrive, but Deku is still pushing himself to find All For One, fighting against Dictator, who controls people like puppets. But thankfully Bakugou is sent to assist his friend and rival.
Fire Force 268-272
While Arthur and Dragon continue to clash, Arthur able to use the Star Ring to convert people’s thoughts and hopes into power, we see that Benimaru’s Doppelganger is coming, the 7th Division head preparing along with Asakusa’s Fire Soldiers. And Haumea is praying to the Evangelist, the Cataclysm still looming.
Vulcan, Lisa and Yuu meet up with the rest of 8th Division, Licht telling Vulcan that the fight between Arthur and Dragon will likely determine the fate of the world, since Dragon’s despair is so overwhelming. We see that Arthur and Dragon are more evenly matched now, both even impaling each other as the chapter concludes.
Arthur’s delusional nature and appreciation of even death as a source of wonder is shown as a parallel to Dragon’s desire to die and end his despair. But Arthur manages to push through and with the state he’s achieved of being steeled to perish, the final blow is about to land
Dragon is defeated, Arthur’s final blow managing to seemingly not only slice the foe in half, but the earth itself (meaning that slash had a range measured in miles), Arthur falling unconscious as he leaves it to Shinra, who breaks free of the structure holding the Pillars
One Piece 1015-1017
Sanji attacks Queen, using the All-Star’s transformed body to deflect Perospero’s Candy Arrow Rain. Chopper is tasked with healing up Zoro, while Momonosuke uses the frog connected to the Mary network to tell everyone that Luffy is still alive, having communicated to him as he was sinking into the ocean. Big Mom tries to discourage that, but the Straw Hats are confident, Nami bewildered when her Clima Tact talks, seemingly now possessed by Zeus’s soul that escaped in the struggle before. And Yamato confronts Kaidou, prepared to sever their bond as parent and child
We learn indeed that Zeus’s soul got into Nami’s Clima Tact, allowing her to unleash a lightning blast that has its own mind and defeat Ulti after she recovers from Big Mom’s attack. Meanwhile, the Tobi Roppo falling is communicated by Bao Huang, one of the Marys that can broadcast across the network and Tama moves to command those affected by her Devil Fruit to turn the tides. And Yamato confronts Kaidou, ready to fight him and protect Luffy and Wano
Tama manages to shift the Gifters to their side, while Jinbe, Franky, Sanji and the others continue their fight. Jinbe reveals he knew about Who’s Who’s past as a CP9 agent, able to use Rokushiki and imprisoned in Impel Down. But it’s revealed that Who’s Who has a link to the Straw Hats, particularly Luffy in that he was punished because the Gum Gum Fruit was stolen from a ship that he was likely guarding 12 years ago.
Black Clover 295-297
It’s revealed Noelle is temporarily contracted with Undine and has achieved Saint Stage (though it’s not explained why Yuno and Fuegoleon weren’t also trained to achieve this state, since it can eliminate devils), the kindness of the Water Spirit something Noelle appreciates greatly
As Noelle attacks Vanica, Megicula’s host remembers when she fought Acier, the power enough to make her retreat with a severe injury and in the present, Noelle impales her, prepared to finish the devil host off for good
It seems as if Noelle has won, defeating Vanica with her superior powers in Saint Stage, but Megicula has been planning for his manifestation and intends to use Vanica and Loropechika as sacrifices to achieve that, transforming the Heart Kingdom Queen into a more demonic appearance
