2 new series debut this month: Build King by Shimabukuro Mitsutoshi (famous for Toriko), is a similar premise of a world centered around a particular subject, this time architecture and buildings. Our leads, Tonkachi and Renga, have complementary talents, almost like Toriko and Komatsu, one more a bruiser, the other more artisan and they await their master to take them to meet the titular Build Kings, indestructible legendary buildings
Sakamoto Days by Yuuto Suzuki, is a mix of slice of life with comedy, our lead, Sakamoto, a former assassin that has settled down with a family and runs a convenience store. But a former partner, Shin, is tasked to take him down, eventually recruited to work at the store, Sakamoto still having great skill in spite of being more chubby with family life.
World Trigger 203
After Hyuse decides he should try to learn how to ride a bike like Yuma is doing, we move to the selection test, which has 2 major sections, the first involving a week-long stay in a simulation of the away mission ship, with teams randomly selected based on an initial survey of the Border agents. And even for those who don’t wish to participate, this will serve as an important evaluation for their capacity with Border having less staff for the away mission period.
Dr. Stone 172-176
Senkuu’s group finds Dr. Chelsea, who got lost due to her poor eyesight, unable to read Xeno’s sign. She gives them advice in getting to the point on the map, though even her best route requires mobility they don’t quite have, Senkuu thinking they need to make the motorcycle she suggests
To get the rubber for the tires, Senkuu’s group continues to flee from Stanley, eventually thinking to use Chelsea’s kites she made as a way to speed up and outpace the Perseus
The Perseus is still in pursuit and, with the idea of the Panama Canal being possibly open for their small boat, Senkuu suggests they have a decoy in the form of the mobile lab, go in that direction so they can go further inland to get the rubber tree sap and make rubber.
With various tricks, Senkuu’s group avoids each stage of Stanley’s attempts to capture them. Hyoga and Tsukasa are injured by Stanley’s shots, but the plane they took was sabotaged with sugar in the gas tank so its launch fails and leads to a crash, the chase basically conclude in Senkuu’s favor
We Never Learn 180-184
Yuiga and Mafuyu have to, as with Asumi, fake a relationship, this time because Mafuyu told her parents she has a fiancée. And her aunt Akina and cousin Natsumi arrive, the young Natsumi seemingly skeptical about their relationship, but thinking there’s something to it
During a school trip, Yuiga and Mafuyu continue to interact, eventually ending up in the same room as Mafuyu gets slightly drunk off alcohol fumes the other female teachers are drinking from. Yuiga tells the male teachers about how he admires her, even telling Mafuyu he likes her, to her confusion
Mafuyu rejects Nariyuki’s confession, saying they are too close as a former teacher and student. But she finds Miharu and Nariyuki going out together, though it turns out to be Miharu advising Nariyuki and he confesses to her again, Mafuyu seemingly having difficulty opening up. And we learn before this that Nariyuki met Mafuyu when he was 11, making a promise at a school festival that may have kindled his romantic feelings
At the school festival, Yuiga tries to help Mafuyu open up, a flashback indicating that her upbringing with figure skating made her have difficulties opening up to people, the school festival experience something he wants to give her by helping the students at their various events
With the help of Mafuyu’s former classmates, Yuiga shows that his dad and classmates did care about Mafuyu, the time capsule they buried having messages to their friend who wasn’t able to be at the school festival. And Mafuyu remembers Yuiga promising to be with her, the feelings she’s had for Yuiga finally becoming clearer to her.
My Hero Academia 289-292
Ochako and Toga split off, Toga realizing that Ochako will not compromise in stopping the villain, even when she’s “being herself”. Froppy and Ochako hear the info about Gigantomachia, meanwhile, Shigaraki is going berserk, Hadou trying to occupy his attention
As Shigaraki is attacked by Shoto and Nejire, Dabi appears, revealing to the Heroes and Endeavor in particular that he is the #1 Hero’s eldest son Touya, broadcasting his backstory through the TV (and Rei seeing it in the hospital to her shock)
Dabi reveals more about how he is Touya and the hypocrisy of Hero society in how it puffs itself up. He moves to attack the group, but Best Jeanist, claimed to have been killed by Hawks (also brought up on his villainous father making him evil somehow) appears to help
As Best Jeanist holds down Machia, he struggles when Shigaraki tells his servant to destroy everything, which brings back a second wind to the monster. Shoto clashes with Dabi and Deku is doing his best to move in spite of his injuries. However, out of nowhere, Mirio appears, his Quirk seemingly restored.
Fire Force 240-244
Division 8 arrives at Amaterasu, Vulcan going in with Lisa and Yuu to investigate further. Meanwhile, Division 8, Ogun also tagging along, set up a perimeter to protect their friends, while Charon and Ritsu arrive, as well as Dragon and likely other major forces to use the key and initiate the Cataclysm
Hinawa and Arrow fight off the Infernals, Maki and Tamaki offering support while Ogun faces Charon, who emphasizes how dark humanity’s true nature is and how the Cataclysm is fulfilling that desire, the guardian wanting to help Haumea, who’s experienced it since childhood
Charon, in spite of Ogun’s speech about how his ancestor brought many people, including Raffles I to Japan in the Cataclysm, manages to take the Fire Soldier down even when he uses his Flamy Ink technique
Ogun, not wanting Arthur to fight his battle, stands up, still unable to counter Charon’s techniques and strength. He then remembers his days with Arthur and Shinra in the academy and how the two clashed as to whether heroes or knights were cooler
The flashback continues, Shinra and Ogun still playing together in spite of other people keeping the “devil” at a distance. And in the present, he stands up again and Oubi and Hinawa manage to wound Charon, the teamwork of the Fire Force an ironclad rule. And Dragon appears, ready to face Arthur
One Piece 994-997
The Ice Oni plague progresses, Queen giving Apoo the antidote and making it a “game” to catch him and cure everyone, Chopper and Brooke focused on that. Meanwhile, Luffy, Sanji and Jinbe continue up the tower, Kiku’s wound cauterized by Kinemon as Kaidou praises the samurai’s mettle, willing to die in battle. Yamato saves Momonosuke and Shinobu, declaring that she will save the young lord for Oden’s sake.
Marco gets assistance against Big Mom and Perospero from Wanda and Carrot in Sulong form, while in the performance floor, Apoo continues to flee from Zoro and Drake. Usopp and Nami are getting beaten down by Page One and Ulti, but Tama comes in with her giant komainu, Komachiyo to attack and assist
Tama’s baboon Hihimaru holds off Page One and Ulti, while Franky steps into handle Sasaki’s armored division, Yamato escaping with Momonosuke and Shinobu. While Kaidou is devastating the Akazaya Nine, Big Mom is heading to the roof, as is Luffy’s group, but Sanji hears something amorous on the 3rd floor above
Sanji is captured by Black Maria and her goons, tricked into thinking a woman was in danger, Luffy and Jinbe getting to the fourth floor. Zoro takes down Apoo and gives the antibodies to Chopper, he and Robin likely getting help when Marco appears, since they want to stop Kaidou on top of Onigashima. But Yamato discovers that Kaidou has lifted the whole island with his Flame Clouds and is moving it towards the Flower Capital
Black Clover 270-273
Asta makes a contract with Liebe, based on equality, Nacht accepting this, but using his own devil power to start training Asta more seriously now
Nacht utilizes Gidemolo (prev. Gimodelo, supposedly changed in the Japanese) to send shadow dogs after Asta, who manages to start utilizing more of Liebe’s power, making Yami’s katana his 4th sword.
We see Yuno training with Langris to find a way to defeat Zenon, while Asta struggles to achieve Union with Liebe, seemingly finding a way when Nacht uses Mana Zone and pushes him to near death
At the Spade Kingdom, Morris, formerly of the Diamond Kingdom, is healing Dante up and culturing something that looks like Licht’s Demon God form, the ritual ready to commence soon. Nacht leaves Asta to continue training while he, along with others in the main group, head off to the Spade Kingdom
