Dr. Stone 60
The villagers are confused as to how
sound is on such a small disc, Senkuu explaining the mechanism, creating
grooves in a record with sound and a needle and then reproducing that sound by
running a needle over those grooves.
He thinks that Byakuya himself
didn’t make it, likely helped by the others, but he thinks his dad did have the
idea
We flashback, Byakuya cutting the
bottom of a bottle and saying it could work as a disc, even though he didn’t
realize how glass is actually better for preservation and longevity
They combine the motor from
Byakuya’s electric razor and the diamond from Yakov’s wife’s ring among other
things to make a record player
Senkuu’s group does similar things,
making their own record player by applying the principles behind the phone from
before, hearing Byakuya’s voice
He says he’s confident that Senkuu
is hearing this and presents music to the people in the future who have never
heard it
The song is so moving to everyone,
even Gen, since it’s been that long and Lillian was considered very talented
With this as a motivator, Senkuu
explains that there are so many other forms of entertainment and they can bring
it back in some form once they defeat Tsukasa’s army and revive all the people
of the world from petrification
This boosts morale for the whole
village, everyone wanting to help in stopping Tsukasa, possibly with music if
they could
Senkuu and Gen talk about how with
the record player and 2 cellphones, they could end the war with no bloodshed,
but, Gen wondering if there’s some god watching them, that they may plunge into
utter failure
The chapter ends as Senkuu says no
such god ever existed in the age of science and that they’ll win
We Can’t Study 64
The cultural festival at Ichinose
Academy is coming up and Yuiga’s class, as well as Rizu’s class (apparently
separate? Not sure if it was ever directly stated one way or the other) are
preparing. Yuiga finds Rizu, Uruka and Fumino at Rizu’s class, which is doing
an udon shop. Uruka wonders about what Yuiga will do, since his class doing a
haunted house. He says he’s working on props and the set, so he won’t be busy
on the day of the festival.
Uruka and Fumino (who also are in
separate classes apparently) try to keep their class’s events secret, to Yuiga’s
confusion.
Kashima and Furuhashi’s other fans
bring up an urban legend connected to the Ichinose cultural festival, that boys
and girls who are touching when the first firework of the post-festival
celebrations go off will be together forever
Sekijo and Uruka think about how
they can use this, Uruka wanting to get together with Yuiga and Sekijo wanting
to help Rizu get together with Yuiga. Though Yuiga says it’s just logical that
such an urban legend would come about because of couples being together at the
fireworks.
Mafuyu is approached by the male
teachers we’ve seen before, asking about her decision for the teachers to have
a lecture regarding the Holy Roman Empire’s collapse. She says she’ll trust
them to do a costume for her, wanting to help the attendees get engaged
We then learn about class 3-A where
Fumino is, planning to do Sleeping Beauty with Furuhashi as the lead. She says
they wouldn’t have time to prepare, since they were delaying their decision,
but Kashima says they’ve already been doing stuff behind the scenes.
As Fumino is taken away to get
fitted for a dress, the rest of the Fumino admirer club that we heard about
much earlier in the series reveals that they have a bigger agenda; getting
Yuiga to kiss Fumino in the play
The cultural festival starts, Yuiga
meeting up with Rizu, who is waiting for her dad to come with the 100 orders of
udon for the class’s udon shop. Yuiga’s impressed at how dedicated her dad is,
though he’s shocked when there are actually 1000 orders of udon brought to the
classroom by Rizu’s father, who misread a period as an extra 0.
Yuiga, trying to get ahead of Rizu’s
worry, says he’ll help her sell the udon at the festival, since he’s not busy
The chapter ends as we see everyone
getting ready for the upcoming events, Fumino shocked at the script, while
Yuiga speaks to the audience, saying that the superstition might have been
valid, suggesting that we’re reaching a bit of a climax for the series, even if
there’s still much more to be shown
Fire Force 128
Joker tells the Shadow of the Holy
Sun captain he’ll kill him with 52 cards
The two clash, Joker telling his
opponent to count how many cards it’ll take to beat him
As he throws the fiery cards at the
captain, his whip sword lets him deflect them, seemingly unfazed by his attacks
The captain tells Joker that the
Shadow of the Holy Sun is united as one, only people like Joker dying alone,
the assassins’ shared identity keeping them stronger
Joker persists, but the captain
still manages to have the advantage, the mystery man hardly able to stand
against his former master’s skill
With his techniques all known by the
Holy Sun Shadow captain, it seems that Joker can’t win, taunted as someone who
is a failure and can’t hope to defeat him
Joker only has 2 cards left, the
captain saying he’ll deal him a deathblow to give his former student some kind
of mercy
When Joker lays down his last card,
the captain stabs it, seemingly victorious and readying his finishing attack
But then Joker reveals that he’s
used a hallucinogenic dust in his cards that’s been slowly spreading, creating
illusory copies of Joker around the captain. The captain’s arm is sliced off,
Joker showing that he had a 53rd card.
As he finishes the captain off,
slicing him into bits with the final card, he says someone like the captain,
who just conforms, didn’t deserve to see his trump card
The chapter ends as Joker says he’ll
need that card to defeat Captain Burns of the 1st division, who’s just arrived;
the connection between them soon to be revealed, since they both have lost an
eye, but they’re the opposites of each other
Black Clover 159
Asta and Yuno push back the former
Magic Knight turned elf’s magic, but Asta notices the priest that took them in
as babies has been poisoned by the Poisonous Plant Magic
He tries to use his sword to cure
it, like he’s done in the past with curse magic and the like, but it doesn’t
work
The father of the church thinks it’s
just an illusion at his near death, but Asta says he won’t let him die
Suddenly a new sword comes out of
Asta’s grimoire, Asta observing that it’s the same one from the dungeon they
were at that Licht took (meaning he didn’t make it out of light, he just
activated it), having entered his grimoire
Asta pulls it out, dark energy
erupting from it that absorbs the poison, curing the villagers. The sword feels
like a wild horse to Asta, seemingly dangerous in some way
Yuno pushes the Poisonous Plant
magic back with another spell, but as the elf sees that Yuno and Asta have
things connected to elves, such as the reincarnation magic on Yuno and Asta
possessing Licht’s swords, he starts to become unhinged, his body starting to
break apart as the soul is going out of control
Worried that the elf may become
something worse, Yuno blasts him with wind magic again, letting Asta take the
opportunity to use his new sword.
When the blade stabs into the elf,
it frees the human from the reincarnation magic, seemingly able to affect souls
with its abilities
Asta and Yuno note that the sword
may let them save everyone, the chapter ending as we see Luck, still affected
by the reincarnation magic, leave the dungeon ship to attack an area where
Magna and Vanessa are
One Piece 906
We see the royalty arrive at the
stairs that lead to the main building on Mary Geoise (the official spelling in
English for Mariejois from Oda himself).
The Fishfolk/Merfolk are given what
are called Travelators, which move the ground forward for them, since they need
bubbles to support them and they can’t move normally. Shirahoshi is offered the
path to see the trees, what she heard about called a forest, but as they
travel, we see that the path is actually moved by slaves underground
At the castle proper, the royalty
and their escorts are socializing as we learn that the conference will be 7
days long, serving gourmet food and making things safe with no weapons in the
venue
Shirahoshi offends some of the kings
and their sons as they ask her about possibly getting to know them better for a
future marriage, her brothers managing to calm things down and explain to her
that they need to be polite
Vivi meets Leo and Rebecca, calling
the Tontatta cute, which they initially find rude, but forgive her quickly, as
usual
They talk about how Rebecca and Vivi
can relate to each other, both being helped by Luffy and the Straw Hats in the
past, Shirahoshi also chiming in
As they’re socializing, we see Wapol
and Kinderella (his queen) of Black Drum Kingdom arrive, Vivi remembering him
from her brief journey with the Straw Hats
Dalton and Kureha from the newly
formed Sakura Kingdom also appear, having had a previous conflict with Wapol,
the two briefly bickering before the king of the Sakura Kingdom bonds with Vivi
and Rebecca about their respect of Luffy
The chapter ends as Doflamingo is in
the 6th level of Impel Down, commenting that they’re trying to keep him quiet
about the treasure in Mary Geoise, someone opening a vault while holding
Luffy’s wanted poster, a large straw hat in the room.
My Hero Academia 185
We learn a bit more about how the
Heroes are ranked, their incident resolution rate affected especially if they
participate in high profile cases, like how Best Jeanist and Edgeshot, among
others, were part of the Kamino incident and went up slightly.
A person explains why the Heroes are
in person at the event, saying that with All Might’s retirement, these top 10
Heroes are likely the best candidates to take his place in a sense
Wings, #2 Hero now, asks Endeavor
what it feels like, clearly not taking it as seriously as the Hell Flame Hero
The Heroes are asked to give
statements, Ryukyu first. She says she would’ve declined if she could, still
thinking she could’ve done more, Crust reflecting that sentiment as well. As
the other Heroes speak, we see Wings falling asleep
Right as Edgeshot is speaking about
how Heroes are meant to keep the peace, Wings interrupts, saying that such
things don’t matter. He insists that approval ratings are the best measure of a
Hero. The fact that people still ranked lower than him aren’t acting like this
is a big deal disappoints him
We learn that Wings is quite
talented, having started a Hero agency at 18, getting into the top 10 soon
after in the rankings and now in the top 3 at 22.
Endeavor, the last to speak, is
still thinking about what All Might said in regards to becoming the Symbol of
Peace, simply telling the audience that they should watch what he’ll accomplish
in the future.
Afterwards, Endeavor is showing his
irritation, Wings saying that even though he doesn’t care about All Might, his
retirement means that Endeavor is the best choice to be a new leader. Wings
himself thinks he isn’t suited to be a leader, wanting more freedom than what
his position gives him
But as Endeavor tries to leave,
Wings says he wants to team up, some reports coming up in his hometown
regarding Noumu
The chapter ends as Shigaraki (most
likely) approaches an improved Noumu, actually able to speak and understand,
called High End, telling him he expects great things from the monster
Seven Deadly Sins 269
Meliodas wakes up, confused when he sees Ban there.
Ban insists he’s real, Meliodas embracing his friend
The Dragon’s Sin had given up hope of returning to
the real world, asking Ban if he’s died, Ban saying that he came here to rescue
Meliodas
When Meliodas brings up how Ban intends to get them
back, Ban realizes he didn’t think that far ahead.
The two travel through Purgatory, Meliodas saying
they have time to devise a plan to escape
We learn there are 2 species that inhabit Purgatory:
the souls that have drifted here (seemingly from the Land of the Dead according
to Nakaba-sensei answering a question that distinguished the two worlds) and
become mere shadows, consumed by rage; and the native species that were born in
Purgatory, adapted to surviving in the harsh environment
Ban and Meliodas move to try and defeat one of the
indigenous monsters, but Meliodas, just a soul, a fragment of Meliodas, can’t
fight like he could before, so Ban says he’ll do the heavy work here
Meliodas is impressed at Ban surviving with a flesh
body in Purgatory, the Fox’s Sin saying it felt like hundreds of years, the
first century just him reviving from various deaths through Purgatory’s
dangerous climate
After 200 more years, Ban managed to adjust himself
to things, even sleeping through the death and suffering.
With a bit of focus, Ban manages to match the
beast’s speed and defeat it, using its parts the make weapons and clothes to
better survive in Purgatory
Meliodas explains to Ban that he was imprisoned at
first, but he eventually succumbed to his despair and became a monster for a
time.
Ban wonders why the Demon King just left him after
that, since he might accidentally manage to escape in spite of that
Meliodas thinks the Demon King must be aware of the
exit’s location, the two finishing up their preparations as the chapter ends
with them heading out into Purgatory to find a way to leave
