Seven Deadly Sins 86

Jericho’s body warps, her human body barely visible from the huge demon body that grew around it. The demon attacks Guila and Zeal, Gowther moving to stop it, but Diane stops it more directly with her size. King thinks the demon blood started going berserk on its own, but Meliodas thinks it’s someone’s doing.

Hendricksen speaks to the group, noting how perceptive Meliodas is. The second generation was a group he took advantage of, their inferiority complex and general weak wills easily manipulated with the promise of power. And with the incantation he spoke, the blood started going out of control.

Everyone notices Hendricksen, surprised he’s alive and confused at his somewhat new appearance.  Hendricksen explains that he has made a more complete unity with the demon blood, done through the experiments he conducted over the years. He asks them to give up Elizabeth and he’ll let them live. But Meliodas and the others refuse. Hendricksen says he expected as much, King wondering if he expected a sneak attack from behind, Hendricksen responding in the affirmative.

King’s attacked by Helbram, who’s somehow able to attack. Hendricksen explains that Helbram was dead 150 years ago, Hendricksen using a forbidden spell from the druids, Enslavement of the Dead, to bring him back to life after acquiring his body on the black market, since fairy bodies never deteriorate. This is the last time he can use the spell (a maximum of two revivals) and each time they become less stable and weaker. This revelation paralyzes King with anguish, that he killed his friend twice already (once when Helbram first went insane and the second time more recently).

Before Meliodas and Gilthunder can attack Hendricksen, he points out that Vivian has captured Elizabeth and Margaret.  Hendricksen then slashes down Gil, impaling Meliodas, the two collapsing. Vivian asks why Hendricksen attacked Gil, Hendricksen replying that since Gil will be a corpse, she can have him all to herself. But Meliodas isn’t dead, ready to attack as Hendricksen prepares to finish them off.

But Elizabeth volunteers to go with Hendricksen in exchange for Meliodas and Gilthunder’s safety, Hendricksen agreeing. Meliodas tries to stop her, but she says he should let her save him once ina  while, seemingly divided as to her love for Meliodas, but also wanting to protect him.

The chapter ends as Ban appears, seemingly ready to finish off Meliodas.

Next week will reveal the anime’s broadcast schedule.

Magi 232

The group is still standing before Ill Ilah, Solomon wondering to himself why David led him here with the staff given to him. Suddenly, tentacles come from Ill Ilah, touching Arba, Ugo, Solomon and Sheba, opening their third eyes. In that instance, they understood the plan of “God”, destiny. The necessary nature of existence follows a flow generated by the various phenomena created by God to go forward.

The group despairs at their situation, seemingly nothing more than insignificant pawns. But Solomon says that they have the power in front of them to change things, to steal the rukh from God and make a world different from what it is. The others are concerned Solomon will become like David and kill God, but Solomon says he’ll share God with everyone, dividing the rukh evenly between all living beings.

But Arba says she cannot allow this, attacking Solomon. He stops her with relative ease, Ugo saying that he cannot control this, leaving it in Solomon’s hands to manipulate this vast quantity of magoi. Solomon prepares to initiate his plan, leaving things to Sheba, Ugo and Arba, each with their own roles.

Solomon rips all the rukh from Ill Ilah, sealing its body in another dimension and distributing the rukh evenly amongst all species. He also changes all the rukh white, purifying it of the corruption David had instilled.

Solomon seemingly disappears, Sheba not wanting him to leave her behind to become the new “God”. The chapter ends as Solomon’s body has changed, looking much more like David in appearance and Solomon’s Rukh watching over the great flow of Rukh that comprises the world.

Things aren’t over yet, though, since there’s still the black spot incident. Not sure whether Gyokuen is Sheba or Arba. At this point, it could be either of them for different reasons.

World Trigger 68

Yosuke, Izumi and Shun notice that one of the new model Rabits has been destroyed, Osamu and Chika moving to the one near them. As it runs towards them, Izumi uses a combination Trigger to pierce the armor, distracting the Rabit enough for Osamu to blast it away. Izumi’s impressed, thinking Osamu had all that Trion, Osamu explaining he’s using Chika, which makes Izumi think they could take them on.

Chika suddenly senses a Neighbor nearby, the leader appearing in the distance. He notices two of the new Rabits are defeated already, so he unleashes his Trigger, Alektor. It fires birds, which, when they make contact, turn the person it touches into a cube, like the previous Rabits had.

Yosuke and Shun notice that the Trigger manifests the Trion into animals, trying to knock them away. But even their Triggers are turned into tinier cubes. Shun is knocked down and has to Bail Out before he’s turned into a cube. Izumi tells Osamu to run while they handle the Rabits.

The leader fires more birds at Izumi, who catches them all with his own Trigger fire. But lizards appear on his legs, the birds a distraction, as they knock him down.

Osamu uses even more power, firing a huge blast at the Neighbor leader, but the Trigger blocks the attack easily. The amount of Trion impresses the Neighbor leader. He notes the magnetic shards on Osamu as a marker for later, focusing on capturing Chika. He angles his shots to miss Osamu, hitting Chika as the chapter ends on her possibly getting captured.

One Piece 754

We see Kinemon has met up with Kanjurou as the chapter begins in the Scrap Heap. Kanjurou apparently isn’t big on formalities and thanks Kinemon for keeping Momonosuke safe, offering some food he can apparently produce with a Devil Fruit power that he calls magic. We see the power in action as he draws a bird on the wall and it comes to life, the other prisoners thinking he has a Devil Fruit as well. The others ask Kinemon and Kanjurou to help them escape as the scene shifts elsewhere.

All the soldiers under Doflamingo are targeting Luffy, the Colosseum army keeping them occupied. Derringer uses his high heels to attack Gilly Blue, seemingly taking him out. Cavendish says that it’s pointless to play Doflamingo’s game and instead kill him so that they can avert the danger of his crimes getting out of the island, which Doflamingo would stop at anything to prevent from being leaked. He made one major error, however, in bringing so many powerful people to one place.

Cavendish vows that he will take Doflamingo’s head, but Luffy, Law and Kyros also say they will do so, provoking a minor squabble before they arrive at the third level. A group of giant puppets that look like nutcracker dolls are walking around, looking very threatening.

Zoro’s fight with Pica seems to be at a standstill, since any time Zoro gets an opportunity to strike, Pica moves to another part of the statue. Pica attacks with tentacles of stone, Zoro dodging and seeing Rebecca’s group floating on the Tontatta’s bugs. Robin tells Zoro to hold Pica off so they can get past Pica’s statue. Pica returns to the statue itself, punching at them with his giant fist. Zoro unleashes 1080 Pound Cannon, one of the strongest Santoryu techniques in the series, chopping Pica’s statue in half as the chapter ends on Zoro saying that Luffy’s crew is out of their league.

Naruto 686

Hagoromo explains the situation to the Hokage: specifically that Madara’s body having the mix of Nine Tails, Indra and Ashura’s chakra allowed him to appear. He then proceeds to teach them the technique Kaguya used to teleport between dimensions (since it is said to require a huge amount of chakra that he doesn’t have anymore)

Meanwhile, Kaguya is attacking all of Naruto’s clones, some of them moving to protect the original Naruto, since they know it’s the attack that could kill Naruto. Kaguya and Black Zetsu conclude the one with the Truth Seeking Orbs on its back is the original one. Even more clones move to surround and protect Naruto, Kaguya blasting through them quickly.

Kakashi is watching, feeling helpless, unable to do anything to help. Naruto shouts that he won’t lose, giving Kakashi some indirect encouragement. Sakura, Sasuke and Obito appear from the other dimension, shocking Black Zetsu. Naruto’s happy to see them, but is suddenly caught by Kaguya and seemingly killed. But the other clones remain, revealing Naruto attached the Truth Seeking Orbs to a clone to distract Kaguya and Black Zetsu further.

As Naruto and Sasuke move to team up, Kaguya is told by Black Zetsu they have to take drastic action, Kaguya teleporting everyone to another dimension with enhanced gravity, pulling everyone down, even Kaguya.

The clones are defeated, leaving the original body. Kaguya fires the bone spears at Naruto and Sasuke, narrowly missing because of the gravity.

She prepares another volley, Kakashi and Obito moving to protect them, encouraged by a vision of Rin in their minds. But before Kakashi can be struck, Obito uses Kamui to teleport the bone spear away, leaving him to die, saying he can’t have Kakashi following him as the chapter ends.

Toriko 286

We flashback to Chichi giving the group Cure Water to help them regenerate from serious damage. Chichi asks about Toriko’s hair being blue (rather than Sani, for some reason), Toriko saying it was black when he was born. Chichi thinks that there are other monsters inside him besides the Red Oni that manifested when they saw the apple with a bit of the scent of Acacia’s Full course on it, one being especially dangerous.

Back in the present, Toriko is still near death, the Cure Water bottle broken. It seems like most of it was used on Toriko (by accident?) and his Gourmet Cells are quickly regenerating the damage. Horse King Heracles notices something, which isn’t the spike in power from Toriko, but that a single Air tree is making more air with a different scent.

We see what is probably the inside of Toriko’s self, two of the oni inside him meeting, the Red and Blue Oni. The Red one says that he didn’t want to ask for the Blue’s help, but Toriko’s in danger and he can’t use his full power. Blue warns him that Toriko’s body may not hold out, but Red says if they eat a certain ingredient, it’ll be okay. They just have to hold out for a few minutes. The Blue Oni agrees, wanting to at least play with the Horse King Heracles.

Toriko regains consciousness, noticing the scent from the single Air Tree Heracles noticed as well. It turns out Komatsu, when he used his knife before, made the Air Tree’s fruit edible, all the tentacles placing their seeds together and creating a single fruit. Toriko’s regenerated half of his body, now resembling the Blue Oni, stretches out his arm, grabbing the fruit and gobbling it down.

The Blue Oni’s body more fully appears from Toriko’s, attacking the Horse King with a punch to the face. The chapter ends as Blue Oni taunts the Horse King, who seems to be ready to take it seriously.

Bleach 590

Giselle notes how bright Mayuri shines, Mayuri responding that he’s great, so he should shine appropriately, which just makes Giselle think he’s arrogant. Ikkaku and Yumichika knew it was Mayuri from either his voice or his taste in clothes.

Bambietta appears, Giselle thinking she wants to protect her. Bambietta speaks about wanting something of Giselle’s (flesh, blood?), Giselle slapping her as punishment. She grabs Bambietta by the hair, saying if she completes her task, she’ll be rewarded, Bambietta apologizing and promising to win, not wanting to be punished further.

Mayuri comments on how pitiful that display was, Giselle commenting on his light getting dimmer. He simply responds that it was so peons like her could see him, Giselle still noting how arrogant he sounds, Mayuri not caring one bit.

Giselle commands Bambietta to attack, firing the reishi bullets, which explode around Mayuri, who manages to dodge them. He comments on the consistent speed of the bullets and commands Nemu to use a device. She inquires about the parameters, Mayuri responding that 3 seconds will suffice.

As the reishi bullets race toward him, Pokeball looking items appear around him, intercepting the bullets and stopping them, the explosion resulting a few seconds later and nearly destroying Bambietta, doing little damage to Giselle.

Giselle is confused at what happened, Mayuri explaining those devices were reishi manipulators, stopping their flow for a set period of time. The devices became bombs, but temporarily malfunctioned. He says with this, Bambietta’s ability is pointless, so he asks them to come along quietly.

But Giselle responds that it’s not just the two of them: she’s created a small army of Soul Reaper zombies to do her bidding.

Mayuri says he’d feel bad in attacking fellow Soul Reapers, so he reveals that he has Arrancar zombies: Dordoni and Cirucci of the Privaron Espada, Luppi, former 6th Espada and Charlotte Chulhorne, Fraccion of Barragan, the chapter ending as Mayuri leaves it to them.

Fairy Tail 394

Natsu makes a solid punch on Tempester, but he counterattacks with just as much power. Gajeel’s having difficulty as well, Lucy thinking Juvia must be in danger too.

Juvia tries to contact Silver, but can’t establish a link. She wonders if this is best for Gray. Keith says that Tartaros knew Silver was trying to fight against them, but Keith recognized that the desire for revenge and getting stronger as a result was what allowed him to prolong his undead existence, which piqued Keith’s interest. Juvia thinks he’s a monster, Keith responding that with Gray killed by Silver and Silver killed by Gray, he’ll have an even greater research subject.

This enrages Juvia, who starts to attack with more intensity. Keith binds her with his seemingly formless body. Lucy tries to move and help Juvia, but skeletons start to appear from the ground, Torafusa explaining this is a huge gravesite, making it a cache of weapons for Keith.

Keith continues to provoke Juvia, saying she will sever the bond between Silver and Gray by killing him, since Silver will cease to exist. Juvia hesitates, saying she can’t do it, Keith seemingly tearing her into pieces with his power.

But Juvia has turned into water and gotten into Keith’s body, exploding him from the inside as she says feelings will always remain in some form, human bonds not broken that easily. With Keith defeated, Face is stopped and the skeletons fall apart, Torafusa and Tempester shocked.

Silver speaks to Juvia as he begins to cross over, thanking her and telling her to take care of his son. As Silver disappears, he thinks to himself that the reason he learned Ice Demon Slayer magic is because END is a flame type, and he passes the magic onto Gray, markings appearing on his body as the chapter ends on Gray vowing to defeat END.

Seems like there isn’t a Magi chapter this week.

Seven Deadly Sins 85

Jericho wakes up as the chapter starts, threatening to kill Guila. But Zeal stops her as she asks what’s going on. Guila explains the situation, Jericho dumbstruck and furious, Guila warning her that it could open her wounds.

Jericho asks why Guila drank the demon’s blood, Guila responding that it was in order to protect her brother. Guila is concerned that she’s become more monstrous now, originally concerned about hurting others, but presently caring less and less.

Jericho, meanwhile, has a simpler motive, wanting to become stronger than her brother and prove to him that she can become a Holy Knight even if she’s a woman.

Dawn Roar is commanded to put Dreyfus in a dungeon until the king sentences him later. The king observes how much Arthur has grown, but starts to suddenly cough up blood. Merlin sees that he’s become weakened and tells Arthur that they should go back to Camelot to treat him. Arthur asks if Meliodas will join him as Camelot’s Great Holy Knight. Meliodas says he might, if he feels like it, but for now they have to rebuild the kingdom. Merlin says the same for whether she’ll join the Seven Deadly Sins again, teleporting away.

King reminds Meliodas that he should’ve asked Merlin about 10 years ago, the two clashing a bit. Elizabeth asks if Meliodas would really leave her in the future, but before he can answer, we see a huge commotion outside the castle, sending a shockwave that knocks the tower apart, scattering the group.

Hendricksen ignores the Holy Knights asking him what happened, awakening the Demon Blood of one of them, morphing him into a monster that starts to rampage.

Elsewhere, Meliodas concludes that Jericho and Guila, writhing on the ground in pain, are suffering the same issue that happened to Dale, Guila’s father, morphing into a demonic monster.

The chapter ends as we see other second generation Holy Knights warped into monsters attacking the kingdom, Meliodas stating that the demon blood is running out of control.

World Trigger 67

Karasuma summons an Escudo shield to stop one of the Rabits following them. The group decides they have to find another way to headquarters, since he blocked off the way they were going. They realize how many Rabits there are, a rain of lasers creating a diversion for them.

It’s Yosuke, Shun and Izumi. They attack one of the Rabits, its armor tougher than the last ones they beat. Karasuma leaves them to hold off the Rabits, Shun excited to be doing something for Jin.

Osamu’s impressed at Izumi’s Trion, Karasuma reminding him they’ll still have some Rabits following them, since Yosuke, Izumi and Shun can only hold off 3 or so.

Natsume tries to shoot at one of the Rabits, missing it as it dodges, Osamu telling them to keep running. The Rabit shoots spikes at Osamu, the spikes functioning like Hyuse’s Trigger and pulling Osamu to the ground. Osamu fires an Asteroid shot at the Rabit, but it’s so weak, the Rabit doesn’t even dodge, the shot bouncing off its armor.

Natsume and Chika move to support Osamu, Osamu telling them to leave. But Chika offers her Trion, creating a link so Osamu can use it, which she did before in using Osamu’s weapon a while ago.

Osamu thinks back to Karasuma asking him and Kitora about the advantages of other Trigger users compared to Attackers. Range is one, but the biggest one is ease of coordination.  They can attack without disrupting the attacks of others. Osamu uses Chika’s Trion to create a bigger Asteroid Trigger, attacking one of the Rabits already in combat to lower their numbers that way.

The shots first seem to be ineffective, but slowly pierce into the armor, breaking it apart and destroying it.

The Neighbor army notices this, the leader saying he’ll go after Chika himself as the chapter ends.

One Piece 753

Doflamingo is speaking with Bellamy, who demands to know why Derringer was sent after him. He responds that he and Bellamy differ in their goals: Bellamy wants to become a pirate, but Doflamingo doesn’t care as long as he can destroy the world (which he puts in brackets, for some reason I’m not sure of).

Elsewhere, we see Derringer fighting against Suleiman, a participant in the Colosseum. Derringer darts around Suleiman with amazing speed. He suddenly headbutts him, goring the fighter with his bull horn helmet. Gilly Blue, another fighter, notices this, Derringer turning to face him.

Don Chinjao moves past the officers, Gladius making the wall he’s climbing pop in some points, knocking him down. We see other officers taking down the colosseum fighters with ease, showing how powerful they are.

Meanwhile, people who were being manipulated by Doflamingo’s Parasite are captured, someone showing up to say they know where Riku is. The group plans to draw out Riku and Usopp, who’s with him, and capture them with their hostages.

We move to inside the SMILE factory, the Tontatta inside being denied knowledge of what’s happening outside. But the Tontatta outside create a message with their insects, telling the Tontatta inside to open the lock. They then say that they’ve been tricked, encouraging them to fight, which they do.

Luffy, Law, Cavendish and Kyros are moving towards the next level to find Rebecca and Robin, Cavendish telling Kyros to get off. Kyros is seeking out Diamante to kill him. The group comes upon the Colosseum fighters, who’ve organized with Dagama’s help and seem to be doing well enough to keep them occupied while Luffy goes ahead. Derringer headbutts Dagama, but he grabs him, keeping him immobile.

The chapter ends as Luffy and Cavendish unleash attacks to keep people away from them, moving towards the next floor.

Naruto 685

We start with a confirmation that it was Naruto’s clone helping Sakura and Obito that got killed by Kaguya with the bone technique. Naruto’s real body flashes to the experience of his Shadow Clone, Naruto himself actually unable to catch up with Kaguya.

Naruto’s Shadow Clone follows Kaguya, along with Obito and Sakura. He sees that Black Zetsu noticed them, Obito having marked this place. The two teleport to Obito’s dimension, which is explained as what Black Zetsu sensed: the three of them, Obito and Sakura disappearing quickly.

Kaguya pieces everything together, the real Naruto moving to engage her again, so she can’t teleport.

Meanwhile, Sakura pours most of her chakra into Obito, who is amazed at the distance Kaguya can effortlessly travel between dimensions. Obito checks the dimensions one by one, slowly losing power and stability, his eyes bleeding.

Elsewhere, Kaguya reveals she knew Naruto was a clone before, since the original has the Gudoudama following him, the black balls that Madara and Obito also used when they were sages.

Sasuke, in the dimension Kaguya sent him to, senses Naruto’s chakra for a moment.

Obito opens another dimension, a sea of acid pouring out as they narrowly dodge. Sakura is burned slightly, Obito confirming that dimension was wrong too. He wants to wait until Sakura heals herself, but she says they have to take this opportunity. The next dimension they peer into is where Sasuke is. They call to him, Sasuke running to the portal, which is slowly closing because Obito’s running out of chakra. Sakura then pours even more into him, but the portal closes before he can make it.

Sakura falls back, but Sasuke reveals he switched places with the jacket she discarded, so things are okay for now as the chapter ends.

Toriko 285

We see Zebra using Voice Missile to try to dissipate the Meteor Rain, but it isn’t working. Branch uses the electricity in his body to magnetize himself, drawing the meteorites to himself. Zebra then uses Voice Eruption, wiping a huge swath of them away. The pair then bolts to avoid more.

Meanwhile, Sani and Nosh are avoiding the Laser Rain, Sani using Hair Lead to deflect them, Nosh actually dodging. A Laser Squall comes, Nosh bulking up and then directing the muscles to their bald head, creating a Plate Shield. It deflects all the lasers, but they explain they can only keep it up for a short time and then they can’t move for around 2 minutes. Sani grabs them and runs.

Coco and Dinner are doing well, Coco making a Poison Umbrella and Dinner using an Antidote Flower he revived as an umbrella. Suddenly Poison Hail hits Coco’s Poison Umbrella, punching a hole in it. The two decide they have to make a run for it, since Slow Rain Hills is nearby.

Komatsu and Mappy are rushing on Careru towards Slow Rain Hills, concerned about Toriko.

Toriko is preparing to fight with all his strength and punch Horse King Heracles, but the beast blows a gust out of its nose, the sheer force creating a crater near Toriko and blowing off part of his face in the process. And it’s not an illusion or such, Toriko falling down, defeated in one blow. The chapter ends as the Horse King and the other beasts leave Toriko behind, completely outclassed.

Bleach 589

Ichigo and the others find that Kisuke and Mayuri had predicted something like the Zero Division coming down would happen, so they created a working replica of Kuukaku’s cannon. Ichigo’s impressed, Kisuke responding that this one is just an imitation, since the true one was made with secret techniques from the Shiba family. They also don’t have enough energy to fire it yet. Akon tells Kisuke that the person he sent for a mission has returned, the two leaving.

Chad asks Ichigo what he thinks of Inoue’s clothes, Ichigo saying they’re a bit revealing, Inoue worried Ichigo thinks she’s a pervert. She says that Urahara lied to her, saying it would make Ichigo happy. Yoruichi appears out of nowhere, after a long absence. She says Ichigo’s dense and didn’t realize Orihime was pressured into wearing it. Kisuke stops her, asking about the goods, Yoruichi revealing them under her cloak.

Kisuke explains Yoruichi was investigating the distortion created by the Quincies. The moment one is created and when it is closed, a lot of energy is released at once. Yoruichi went to where Hiyori and the others were and collected the energy after they closed the distortions so they could use it. The preparations are nearly complete for launching to Soul Palace.

Meanwhile, Ikkaku and Yumichika are encountering difficulty with fighting Bambietta. Ikkaku decides he’ll have to dodge her bullets embedded with her reishi, Yumichika providing support with kidou. Ikkaku stabs through Bambietta, the blood getting on him and Bambietta nearly blowing his head off. But Yumichika chops off the arm that was about to release the explosion.

Giselle says it’s pointless, since Bambietta’s already dead. Yumichika and Ikkaku are hit with a huge explosion form Bambietta, Giselle explaining she had to finish off Bambietta to truly make her able to be zombified. Giselle is ecstatic remembering the moment when she killed her superior, Yumichika still thinking how crazy she is. She emphasizes all she has to do with Soul Reapers is splash her blood on them.

But before she can do that, Mayuri appears in a flash of light, saying she’s piqued his interest with her ability as the chapter ends.

Fairy Tail 393

Silver asks Gray to finish him off, but Gray says he can’t, since Silver must be his dad. Silver responds that he was waiting for Gray to come and kill him, since he’s no longer human or demon; he’s merely a corpse.  Keith is explaining this to Juvia, meaning he’s likely behind this as well as resurrecting the Chairman Kyouka killed.

Keith, whose curse allows him to control the dead, collected Silver to see how well he could make a corpse resemble and behave like its previous existence. He was the one who survived the longest, at 17 years. He persisted in killing demons to avenge his family killed by their kin, mistakenly thinking the ones at Sun village were also demonic (meaning he learned the magic after he became a corpse?)

He was ready to execute a plan to destroy Tartaros, but discovered Gray was alive during the tournament.  Silver concluded then that he was far too guilty to be justified in his revenge and wanted Gray to destroy his existence.

Silver asks Gray to finish him, Gray saying he can’t. The Demon Slayer responds that he’ll die soon anyway. Gray realized that Silver did all this so Gray could conquer the proverbial demons of his past, Silver stating Gray should forget him, since he’s been dead for so long.

Gray tries to justify killing his father by saying that even if they’re blood related, he has to destroy the enemies of his guild. But he says he can’t bring himself to kill his own father, Silver understanding the paradox.

Before his body runs out of energy, Silver stands up and embraces Gray, saying he’s grown up to be a fine son.

Silver then contacts Juvia through telepathy, telling her to kill Keith, saying he’s not even that strong in terms of the Nine Demon Gates. The chapter ends as he tells her that to stop the Face Operation, she’ll have to destroy Keith, which will also end up killing Silver, which Juvia realized at some point.

This isn’t technically the year anniversary (that was last week, roughly), but this marks 52 posts and that makes it my year anniversary in itself anyway. Here’s to another year!

Seven Deadly Sins 84

Everyone’s shocked at Merlin’s appearance, the Sins asking where she was, but Meliodas focusing on requesting her help, which she provides by teleporting them directly outside the king’s chambers. She had intended them to be inside, but the Perfect Cube refuses anyone but the original caster, which in this case is Vivian. The others are either confused that the Sins are there, like Dawn Roar, or happy, like Elizabeth.

Meliodas moves to attack the cube, but Merlin stops him, saying that the spell is from the Demon World and rejects all attacks, strong or weak, Vivian laughing at them from afar. But Merlin just grabs the door handles and opens it, revealing that her ability is Absolute Cancel, negating any spell apparently.

Meliodas and Elizabeth embrace, Meliodas relapsing to his perverted ways for a bit. Meliodas comments that the king is much older than before, but the king says Meliodas is oddly the same. The king orders Threader to be healed and notices Arthur.

Meliodas concludes that all that’s left to do is to free the kingdom, everyone looking to Dreyfus, seemingly the only threat left.

The group asks why he framed them, Dreyfus saying they were the ones who killed Zaratras, his brother. But Margaret retorts that she saw them kill Zaratras and Vivian captured her and Gil as hostages ten years ago as she was telling him.

Merlin thinks it makes sense, since Vivian was obsessed with Gilthunder, using Margaret to manipulate him and vice versa.

Gowther finishes things by noting that the plan was based on Dreyfus’ jealousy of his brother, Hendricksen poisoning Zaratras, the two killing him and framing the Seven Deadly Sins so they could take over the kingdom.

Hauser can’t believe this, Dreyfus admitting his defeat and dropping his sword.  Dreyfus notes that he didn’t think Hendricksen had the plans he did, the gap growing so much and Griamor killed by his old friend. Meliodas reveals, however, that Griamor is still alive, which makes Dreyfus shed tears of happiness.

Vivian weeps at Gil leaving her again, but Hendricksen reattaches his arm, the chapter ending on his somewhat new appearance, particularly a mark growing over his eye that’s similar to Meliodas’ demon power.

Magi 231

Solomon wakes up, having slept for 2 days, the others barely able to put his body back together. David and the others are dead, but the surviving magicians seem to be developing resentment towards the other species, since they are free, while their families are devastated because of their ambition to protect the other species. Ugo has locked himself in his room, saying he cannot atone for failing everyone and causing the deaths of so many.

But Solomon appears before his citizens, apologizing. Ithnan grabs Solomon, fuming, but calms his rage. He says that they don’t regret stopping the Orthodox, but the deaths of all these people seem so pointless, since the base wasn’t valuable for strategy and David was insane with power and was purposeless in his seeking of magoi. Solomon responds that this was fate and he will figure things out from what David told him. He thinks there must be a great amount of magoi somewhere, which he intends to use to create the peaceful world they sought. But the others say they couldn’t find it even after searching the whole base.

They return to the sanctuary, Solomon noting there’s something here the others cannot see. He explains that it’s hidden in a different dimension so that only the one holding the staff can perceive it. He opens it up, Sheba, Arba, Ugo and Solomon sucked into a dimensional warp. Arba weeps at seeing that they’re in the presence of Ill Ilah, calling it “Father” (which makes me strongly think that she’s Gyokuen in Alma Toran’s universe). Solomon figures it out: David had created a hole that connected him to Ill Ilah and he was constantly draining God’s magoi.

The chaper ends as Ugo concludes that the black things swirling about are Rukh (meaning things have gotten horribly corrupt, leading to the Black Spot incident in this world) and Solomon not understanding what David wants him to do.

World Trigger 66

Enedora attacks Suwa, slicing him apart slightly, but his body recovers since the room they’re in is in simulation mode. The Neighbor is confused, attacking the walls, but it’s ineffective.

The others outside the room are hoping Suwa can keep Enedora occupied long enough for them to fully analyze his Black Trigger, since if he notices the door out of the room, he can easily escape.

Shinoda leaves things in Kido’s hands, departing to fight, most likely.

Meanwhile, the other Neighbors note that Hyuse has marked the position of Chika, so the sole female Neighbor can use her Trigger to send the Rabits to their position. They also observe that Hyuse’s opponent has a normal Trigger, Viza’s a Black Trigger, which intrigues some of the Neighbors.  The Neighbor leader says they’ll wait until Osamu and Chika are far enough away from Hyuse and Viza to send out the remaining Rabits and conclude this operation.

Meanwhile, Yuma’s fight with Viza is getting tough, since Viza’s slicing away the Anchors. Yuma uses Bound to pull up a chunk of earth, Viza slicing it into pieces. Yuma then chains them together and then combines Bolt and Boost to attack. But before he can unleash it, Viza reveals the cane is a scabbard for the sword, slicing off Yuma’s left hand, which turns into Replica. Viza’s impressed at Yuma’s Trigger, Yuma figuring out that Viza is just there to delay him, telling Replica to protect Osamu and Chika.

Replica leaves Yuma, Viza wondering if Border’s group should split up, implying there’s some danger. The chapter ends as Yuma counters that Viza can’t lie very well and the Rabits are summoned at Chika and Osamu’s position, Osamu and Karasuma preparing to fight them.

Naruto 684

Sakura thinks to herself that Obito has consigned himself to death, since he thinks he’s beyond saving. Sakura and Naruto’s clone touch him, preparing to teleport. But Kaguya notices them, the group having to factor in that she has her attention focused on them.

Kaguya moves towards Naruto’s real body, apparently not caring about Obito’s group. Naruto thinks he has to use the strategy that worked before: a diversion and then taijutsu. He won’t use the sexy jutsu, but he has to corner her, so she’ll use her space time jutsu; then, he’ll follow her in and look for Sasuke.

He uses the chakra from the 5 tails to enhance his strength, breaking out of the ice and clashing with Kaguya directly. They split apart, Kurama refining Naruto’s chakra so he can summon even more Kage Bunshin, hundreds or more.

Naruto swarms Kaguya with the barrage of Shadow Clones, Kaguya moving into the other dimension with her space time jutsu. Naruto’s real body follows, the two appearing in what appears to be the desert dimension where Sasuke is.

Kaguya thinks to herself that Naruto can’t be here, since this is the core dimension, connecting to the other 5 and with the resonance of their powers of Yin and Yang, Naruto can find Sasuke.

Black Zetsu and Kaguya discuss whether to kill Naruto. Kaguya says they need his chakra, but Black Zetsu says they need to focus on finishing their plan with the chakra they have, since it takes so much to alter dimensions. Kaguya agrees, using what appears to be the Kaguya clan’s Kekkei Genkai to fire a bone spear at Naruto through a dimensional gap she makes. Naruto dodges, but another bone stabs him, seemingly burning a hole through his body and killing the shinobi.

Kaguya moves to the other dimension, thinking that she killed the original. Meanwhile, Obito and Sakura make it to the dimension where Sasuke presumably is, Naruto’s clone having disappeared at some point (possibly the one that Kaguya killed?)

The chapter ends as Kaguya returns to the ice dimension, seeing Naruto’s clones still there, meaning his original body is still somewhere.

Toriko 284

We return with Komatsu speaking about hearing the ingredient’s voice. Mappy thinks it’s the Air tree in front of them, but Komatsu says it’s further ahead, in the direction of the Slow Rain Hills. This means what he hears is AIR itself.

Horse King Heracles glares at them, the force of its power without even moving enough to send shockwaves through the air. Mappy says they have to give the sacrifice, since AIR is like the Horse King’s life.

Toriko says that he’ll hold off Heracles while Komatsu and Mappy go in Careru towards AIR so Komatsu can prepare it.  Careru grows more wheels and goes into Top Gear, narrowly avoiding a Daruma Horse’s attack, zipping away at blinding speed.

Meanwhile, Toriko unleashes a scattered burst of Nail Punches, reverberating through the ground and creating a chasm around himself, the Daruma Horse, the Janus Unicorn and the Horse King itself. The Bishokuya plans to make himself a sacrifice in Mappy’s place, if need be, his eyes gleaming with excitement. The chapter ends as Toriko stands off against the Horse King, seemingly taking on the form of his Appetite Devil.

Bleach 588

We start with Juhabach’s group crashing into the Soul Palace area, catching the attention of the Royal Guard. Haschwalth notices something, trying to console Juhabach (who he thinks should be sad about something). Juhabach replies that it’s pointless to mourn over an old gravestone, Haschwalth recanting. Juhabach then commands Jugram to start, Jugram summoning Soldat through the Schatten Bereich (Shadow Territory, roughly).

The Soldat are knocked away by Tenjirou, who says he’ll stop them, even though Juhabach thinks otherwise.  The Soldat are washed away by the hot springs Tenjirou is in charge of and then he unleashes his Zanpakutou, Kinpika.

Meanwhile, Ikkaku and Yumichika are fighting Giselle, who’s trying to act innocent again to draw them in to attack her, Yumichika catching on to her tactic. He even figures out she’s cross dressing, which infuriates her. The chapter ends as she summons the zombified Bambietta, confirming theories from months ago about her fate.

Fairy Tail 392

Wendy and Charle wonder what to do about the Faces. The Air Dragon Slayer asks Doranbolt how fast they can get to Magnolia, Doranbolt responding that, with some speed, they could get there in five minutes. Wendy plans to use Warren’s telepathy magic to contact all the guilds on the continent. With their combined power, she thinks they might be able to do something about the threat of Face.

Back at Juvia’s fight, she remembers Keith’s words, implying that Gray will follow in his teacher’s footsteps (not his father’s, which I said last week) and use Iced Shell to defeat Deliora.

Gray is getting pummeled mercilessly by Deliora, who says it was foolish to even stand against him.  He says humans can never hope to defeat demons, even with all their strength. But Gray stands up, bloodied and beaten, saying he must win.

Deliora reminds Gray that Ice Magic won’t affect him, even if he can’t absorb it, and he’s beaten Gray badly enough that physical attacks are pointless (and he can’t use the cannon tactic anymore). Gray then starts to use Iced Shell, Deliora saying that won’t work either, since he learned Ice Demon Slayer magic after Ur used Iced Shell on him years ago. But Gray still insists on using it, Deliora seemingly shaken and attacking Gray.

But he had an ice clone, appearing behind Deliora, unleashing the magic. It seems to be working, but Deliora reverses it on Gray.  But that was also a clone, Gray appearing in the place the previous clone was. He’s holding a steel ball that he got from the rubble, since he reversed Deliora’s magic that he had used to freeze the Sun Village before.

He makes a support with ice supporting the steel ball, the ice forming a vambrace gauntlet, throwing the steel ball through Deliora.

The demon is defeated, Gray speaking to it, saying he realized something, that Deliora may truly be his father instead of the demon revived.

Seven Deadly Sins 83

We start with an announcement that SDS will be getting a spin off where everyone’s in high school.

The main chapter starts with Threader/Slader unconscious, having taken so much damage. The rest of Dawn Roar appears, the king ordering them to restrain Threader.

The King worries that Elizabeth is frightened, but she says she’s confident Meliodas will rescue her and that being with her father is comforting. The king responds that, because of his Vision power, he has seen that soon he will be freed from the Perfect Cube by a Crimson Pig, Elizabeth thinking it’s Hawk.

Gil concludes that since the masked Holy Knight said Elizabeth was moved to a safer location, it must be the king’s chambers. He also explains to the others that a chimera was monitoring him and Margaret: with its resistance to lightning attacks, he could do nothing. The one who controlled it has disappeared, since they can’t monitor Gil anymore.

Arthur says that everyone should be grateful to Meliodas, the others confused at who Arthur is and why he’s here. Arthur’s power is apparently still unknown to him, so he was trying to fight in order to unlock it. He also owes a great debt to the king of Liones, so he’s here to help him.

The group moves towards the castle, but a forest suddenly appears around them, not an illusion, but a form of teleportation. The group is apparently trapped by the mysterious Holy Knight in this forest.

The Holy Knight reappears near the castle, saying she’ll punish Gilthunder for betraying her. But then he group suddenly appears nearby, somehow getting back immediately. It turns out someone else is casting teleportation magic on the magician over and over. Eventually it stops and it’s revealed that the one doing this, on who is supposed to be the greatest magician in the kingdom (maybe not a Holy Knight?) is Arthur’s mysterious cloaked friend.

The magician attacks the figure, but Meliodas realizes who it is. The chapter ends as the cloaked figure is revealed to be Merlin, the Boar’s Sin of Gluttony.

World Trigger 65

We start the chapter with Jin and Hyuse’s fight, Jin saying it was a good idea to split them up. Hyuse wonders if Jin led them into a dark tunnel to set traps, concluding the field is more balanced now, firing his magnet bullets.

Jin is having issues seeing them, barely blocking the attacks. Hyuse then uses Camouflage to blend into the darkness, firing from all directions at Jin, who stops one attack with his arm, getting shards in his arm.

Hyuse magnetizes Jin’s arm to the wall, Jin responding that it’s an impressive Trigger, but that Hyuse’s being abandoned by Viza. The magnet Trigger user is furious, rushing at Jin, who summons two Border shield Triggers to trap Hyuse. Jin notes that he can see Hyuse’s future.

Back at Border HQ, everyone’s trying to counter Enedora’s attack, mostly evacuating people from the areas he’s nearby and, if they have a chance, attack him. As the Neighbor gets near the research labs, he’s attacked by Suwa squad. Kazama explains that since Enedora has a Trion body, they just have to find his core and attack it. But he’s moving it around, so they have to be precise.

It looks like Suwa squad’s going to be eliminated, since Enedora’s bored by their predictable tactics, but Reiji activates Simulation mode in the room they’re in, allowing Suwa to restore his arm as the chapter ends on their fight starting.

Naruto 683

Naruto is trying to open the gate that leads to where Sasuke is, but fails. Black Zetsu, noting that they’re separated and cannot seal Kaguya, moves to drain Naruto’s chakra. He dodges, Kaguya initiating a much more dangerous attack, moving the very elements around Naruto to surround and attack him.

Back with Kakashi, Sakura, Obito and Naruto’s Shadow Clone, they confirm everyone has been teleported here, but he can’t sense Sasuke. Obito wakes up, Naruto’s Shadow Clone apparently also able to use the Sage Powers to the extent of reviving people who are near death. Naruto regrets that he didn’t stop the Infinite Tsukuyomi, but Obito’s more concerned about Madara’s status, the group saying that things are different. Obito then says they should move to where Naruto’s real body is, Sakura and Kakashi agreeing that they should try to help, even if it’s only a bit.

The Edo Tensei Hokage meet up, Hashirama having found Madara’s lower half, meaning in a sense, he’s still alive. It also confirms that everyone else near Kaguya is in another dimension. They discuss what’s happened to everyone else and why they’re not affected by the Infinite Tsukuyomi.

Tobirama says they should use Edo Tensei to see if Madara is indeed dead, Hashirama opposed to it. Hagoromo’s chakra appears from Madara’s body, noting how kindhearted Hashirama is and likely starting to explain things to them.

Sasuke is still wandering in the desert area, unable to get out.

Naruto’s Shadow Clone group moves to where Naruto is, finding him attacked by the ice through Kaguya’s attack and pinned. Kaguya comes from her portal, Naruto planning to attack when she gets close.

Obito confirms it’s some space time jutsu, which is why Naruto can’t sense Sasuke.  Since it’s space time in nature, Obito thinks he can synch his Kamui Sharingan with it and get Sasuke back. The problem is he has limited chakra and needs enough to get back. Naruto’s Shadow clone offers, along with Sakura (since she has chakra from the Hyakugou no Jutsu), Obito saying their combined energy should be enough. His goal is to get Sasuke back. Naruto thanks him, Obito insisting he doesn’t need the thanks. The chapter ends with Obito saying he’s willing to die to help Naruto to save the world, since he once had Naruto’s dream and holds him in high regard.

One Piece 752

Doflamingo continues to threaten Luffy and Law as he moves closer. Luffy attacks him, but he blocks the punch, Doflamingo firing a Bullet Thread at Ushi, who panics, throwing Luffy and Law off.

Doflamingo insults Luffy, saying he’s pathetic to be this stupid even with having the amazing charisma to draw people in that he’s shown in the past. He asks Law why he chose someone like this. Law responds that he won’t become like Doflamingo , that he was saved. Doflamingo thinks it was by Corazon, his brother, moving to kill him like the coward he sees Law as.

But Abdullah and Jeet attack Doflamingo from behind, but it’s revealed to be a string clone. They explain that Kelly Funk duped them and was attacked by Doflamingo’s clone.

The Coloseum army is at the second level, Luffy smashing through the ceiling above him to get to the second level with the others.

Rebecca’s group uses the flying stag beetles to float down to where Luffy is. Meanwhile, the fights between Franky/Senor Pink, Zoro/Pica and Sabo/Fujitora continue.

Doflamingo and the others think back to when they first met Law, who reminded Doflamingo of his younger self. The chapter ends on Law wanting to join Doflamingo because he doesn’t have long to live. One Piece is on break next week, surprisingly enough.

Toriko 283

The air is heavy where Toriko and the others are, Toriko thinking it’d be pointless to use the Riddle Chapter on it, since it’s beyond capture level measurement. The air is so thick, it’s hard to breathe, Mappy explaining they have to plant more Air Trees, which Toriko encountered the first time he entered Gourmet World. Mappy’s death will serve to make good fertilizer so the Air Trees can produce high quality oxygen.  He beseeches Heracles to let his death be sufficient for them to capture AIR.

Komatsu looks at the Air Trees and we move to Atmosphere Garden, a place in eastern Hex Food World, where the rain is like fertilizer and the sunlight is concentrated so the amount of life is immense. Daruma Hermit is brought here by Atashino, since the symptoms of his illness are somewhat like altitude sickness.

We see horses descended from Heracles and Daruma Hermit explains that they eat only air, like many of the horse species in Gourmet World. Horse King Heracles is especially impressive, since it can live for a year on a single breath meal and it can travel or fight for a month on that single breath. The amount of air it takes in with a single breath is like the Atlantic Ocean and it only exhales 10% of that, so the air pressure is always fairly low in Area 8. The myriad forms of rain are also caused by the exhalation’s toxins combined with updrafts.

But when the Horse King gives birth (hermaphrodite?) it takes 100x that amount of air and the only thing that can provide that is AIR itself. The fruit comes only once every several hundred years and once it is matured, the clouds are cleared away and the newborn Horse King rides on a rainbow bridge to other continents. It was legendary, but it has been many thousands of years since that happened, the foal in Fertilizer Garden still immature because the Blue Nitro had always harvested the ripe AIR fruit. So the only hope they have is to keep sacrificing someone to provide fertilizer for the AIR trees.

Komatsu suddenly takes out his knife, hearing the voice of the ingredient as the chapter ends on this revelation, making us wonder what the chef plans to do.

Bleach 587

Ichigo rushes to catch up with Uryuu, but Orihime blocks the shockwave that results from Juhabach’s group piercing the Shakonmaku. They get pushed back, Orihime wondering if it’s Uryuu or Juhabach that’s so strong.

Ichigo is sulking, Chad picking him up and throwing him into a building, saying that he isn’t going to solve anything by sitting there. They think that Uryuu must have his reasons, but Ichigo says they have to go to him directly and ask him. And if he doesn’t do it, they beat him up and take him back by force.

Urahara appears, saying he can get Ichigo a ticket to Soul Palace, though it’ll take him some time (Mangastream’s translation is more precise, saying it could take an hour, though that would give Juhabach and company a lot of time to do damage in the meantime)

Meanwhile, Rukia and Renji are fighting Bazz B, Rukia and Renji even noticing it was Uryuu with Juhabach. Bazz B agrees with them in his own way that Uryuu is a nuisance, having betrayed his friends and being a sudden threat to Jugram’s ascension to Juhabach’s position.

Renji attacks Bazz B, making fun of his Mohawk, Bazz B countering by using Burner Finger 4, which unleashes a huge fiery sword.

The chapter ends on Juhabach’s group entering the Soul Palace, seemingly causing destruction just by their initial entrance.

Fairy Tail 391

Gray and Silver clash, Gray attacking, but Silver quickly counterattacking. Gray nearly falls off a cliff, but rights himself, bounding back and unleashing Cold Excalibur. Silver blocks it, consuming the ice, revealing his Demon Slayer magic makes him immune to ice attacks.

Keith further explains this to Juvia, saying this is why Silver was included in the Nine Demon Gates. But Juvia asks why someone who uses magic that slays demons would ally with demons. Keith responds it could be because he could deter them or just because Marde was feeling capricious; either way, he’s with them now and Marde’s word is law.

Gray’s in serious danger, being pierced by the ice magic, but he continues to fight, enraged at Deliora using his father’s appearance to say such things. Silver attacks with Ice Demon’s Rage, but Gray still manages to stand up, using Ice Make to create cannons. The attacks strike Silver, who sees that Gray’s just using the ice cannons to fire rubble at him.

Silver freezes the landscape, thinking this will stop Gray. But Gray recognizes this magic as that which froze the giant’s village, so he utilizes it against Silver, knowing that Slayer Types can’t consume their own attacks. But Silver says it still doesn’t affect him, even if he can’t eat it. The chapter ends on this seemingly hopeless situation.
