Naruto 700 +5

Sasuke stabs his sword into the pillar behind Sarada and makes to strike her with his hand. She cries out for her father, who stops, realizing who she is. The young Uchiha says she knew he was her father immediately, thinking of her memories and getting emotional about finally meeting him after so long.

Naruto and Chouchou come in, having figured out Sarada had run off on her own. Sasuke asks why they’re here, Naruto trying to explain that he didn’t bring the children along intentionally.

Sarada says she had to ask Sasuke a question about Sakura, wondering if she really is her biological parent.

Sakura has the situation explained to her by Shizune, preparing to leave.

Sasuke asks what the issue is, Sarada tells Sasuke that he’s never around, having forgotten his own daughter’s face. She demands to know about Karin, since Sakura won’t tell her and Sasuke’s never around.

He says it doesn’t concern her, the Uchiha running out in frustration.

We see a flashback, Sasuke explaining that there’s something behind even Kaguya that put together the White Zetsu army, persisting even after she was sealed away.

Everyone’s worried, deciding to keep it a secret between them, since there’s no real confirmation at the moment. Sasuke tells Naruto to stay in the village while he tracks them with his Rinnegan.

Naruto tries to comfort Sarada, saying that her father is truly a great ninja.

As Sakura heads to where Sarada is, we shift scenes to the mysterious cloaked figure. He tells Shin that they must start the revival of Akatsuki, revealing his face, still somewhat unknown, but Sharingan even imbedded in his head. This makes me think it could be Danzou, somehow alive even after Sasuke defeated him, though that doesn’t make sense considering he sealed himself away.

The leader and Shin teleport to where Sasuke and the others are, attacking them. Naruto knocks away the blades thrown at them, activating Kyuubi chakra. Sasuke confronts the figure as the chapter ends.

Boku no Hero Academia 43

The match between Todoroki and Bakugou starts with the Fire and Ice user unleashing a wave of ice. But Deku notes it’s not quite like the attack he used against Sero, more precise.

Bakugou bursts through the glacier, rushing at Todoroki. He dodges the second wave, grabbing Todoroki and throwing him. But Todoroki manages to save himself with a wall of ice, redirecting himself to attack again.

As Bakugou attacks, Todoroki grabs him with his left, Endeavor thinking his son will use his Fire side. But instead, he throws the Explosion user away.

Aizawa comments on how Bakugou’s instincts serve him well here, but Todoroki is seemingly not fighting at his best after his fight with Deku.

Bakugou tells Todoroki to take him seriously, since he’s not going to lose to Deku, since even though he lost, he got Todoroki to use his Fire side. He tells him that if he’s not fighting to win, he shouldn’t be here.

Todoroki thinks to himself that Deku shook him, Bakugou rushing at him as Deku cheers his former opponent on.

Bakugou unleashes Howitzer Impact, adding some rotation to his explosive attacks to create a much stronger blast.

But Todoroki managed to cancel it out with a blast of flames. Bakugou sees the Fire and Ice user is down, seemingly defeated.

Midnight confirms that he’s out of bounds, declaring Bakugou the winner of the tournament as the chapter ends.

Unexpected twist here, but I feel like it’s meant to be character development for Todoroki relative to his fight with Deku as well as Bakugou feeling like this is an empty victory.

World Trigger 103

Nasu squad meets up, Rei apologizing for not doing as good as she could. But Kumagai and Akane say she did great going 1 against 4.

Kuruma’s squad also notes how well their captain did, Kou apologizing for not being able to help him, Kuruma saying they’ll win next time.

Tamakoma-2 is complimented by Usami, especially since Chika survived this time. Yuma also notes that Osamu succeeded in his plan to win by survival points.

The post match commentary is starting, Tachikawa saying all his predictions were wrong.

The major turning point, according to the commentators, was destroying the bridge, which separated the teams more solidly. But Nasu squad’s two members, separated from their captain, deciding to stay and fight also changed things significantly, since the bridge being destroyed undermined their chances for victory.

If they had escaped and Bailed Out, Nasu would’ve had the winner of Yuma vs. Murakami come earlier so she couldn’t have easily gotten the 3 points she did.

They conclude that Kumagai and Akane made the best decision overall, since they were maximizing points even if they had to sacrifice survival points in the end.

Yuma and Murakami’s fight was decided primarily by Murakami being distracted with Kuruma and Taichi on the east coast. If he’d won and gotten to the other side, Kuruma squad would’ve had a good chance of winning. Tamakoma-2 leaving everything to Yuma and Suzunari also being dependent on Murakami’s support created differing strategies on maintaining that advantage.

The major fault was Kou losing to Yuma when he shouldn’t have with prior experience in their mock battle. But Kuruma squad wasn’t wrong to wait on Kou and try their best overall, since the chance to win would’ve overridden the temporary setback.

The battle between the Shooters on the east coast was simpler. Osamu used Kuruma to weaken Nasu and allow her Trion to run out through an extended battle. Tachikawa notes that Osamu is good at strategizing based on differences in overall ability.

The major difference between Nasu and Osamu is that Nasu is stronger, but takes on a heavier burden in both strategizing and serving as the trump card, while Osamu is the brains, Yuma serving as the major brawn. Chika managed to serve a purpose in spite of difficulties with her high Trion output, serving as a lynchpin to Osamu’s tactics.

They compare Tamakoma-2 to Arashiyama’s squad, who delineated between strategy for their captain and the ace fighter position to Kitora.

Tachikawa and the others are also impressed by Kuruma persisting in his fight until the end instead of giving up and trying to escape after Murakami lost.

Everything concludes by noting how even the losing squads have improved greatly in utilizing all their members.

We see Izumi talking to Ninomiya, captain of said squad, who comments on how Tamakoma-2 just got lucky with their fight and aren’t good enough without Yuma.

He even notes that Osamu and Chika have never taken someone out, always using the advantage given by utilizing other squads and pitting them against each other.

They conclude Tamakoma-2 has no chance of beating Tachikawa unit.

Izumi comments that Chika has so much power she could use any Trigger and be powerful, having seen her fire an Asteroid in the Neighbor invasion prior to this arc. But Ninomiya responds that Chika doesn’t have the courage to actually fire at a person, only able to shoot at Neighbors to protect her friends.

We shift scenes, where Osamu thinks to himself that he shouldn’t think he can stand on his own. He gets a message from Usami, who tells them their next matchups, having gone up 2 levels to #6 in B Rank. The chapter ends as we find that they’re going to have a 4 way fight, going against Azuma, Kageura and Ninomiya squads.

Seven Deadly Sins Diane Gaiden Part 1

We see a war between humans and giants, Matrona leading a charge with Diane and Dolores. There’s an explanation about the giant clan’s origins. They were the first of the 5 clans to come about and they were the toughest of the races. But because they fought so much, their numbers steadily decreased over time.

Dolores is saved by Diane and we find that the savages fighting the giants have hired a chieftain of the west giant clan, Dumbelbas.

The fight is over, Matrona’s group paid by their army, since they were hired like Dumbelbas. Matrona pays her respects to her opponent as he is pinned by spears of rock, dying on the field.

As the group returns, Matrona takes Dolores and Diane to the meditation chamber, the other giants saying they worry for their future with those two taking over after Matrona.

Matrona berates her disciples for not fighting or even killing their opponents, Diane throwing about 10 humans into the lake and Dolores not even trying, cowering in fear.

Diane thinks they shouldn’t have to do this, voicing her opinion to Matrona. She even thinks they’re being used by humans, but her mentor says that it’s a form of coexistence to provide strength in battles for humans and be paid in return.

Matrona emphasizes how important battle is to them, that dying in battle is a great honor. We’re told about a fairy betrayed by humans who slaughters them in revenge, which Matrona sees as foolish, because it isn’t creating an exchange of services at all.

The group splits, Diane and Dolores eating before they start to train again. Dolores asks Diane about when she left the village 500 years ago, but the giantess doesn’t remember anything. Dolores voices her desire to leave, not wanting to fight or kill at all.

During training, Dolores shows a great deal of weakness, Diane trying to help her. Matrona chastises her pupil, very strict in her teaching about victory in battle. As they test out their ability to toughen their skin, Dolores fails again, but Diane manages to last a while before she has the wind knocked out of her.

Dolores tells Matrona they don’t want to fight, the older giantess saying that they should give birth to a child to replace them. Later, Dolores wonders if they should do that, Diane responding that having a child is about continuing life, not just being a tool of war.

Matrona speaks to the other giants, who wonder why she’s focusing so much on Diane. She responds that Diane has a great potential, becoming tough enough to damage Matrona’s fist in training. Matrona believes Diane has great potential and must awaken it to become the greatest giant warrior in history.

Diane wakes up Dolores, saying they should leave, but Dolores says she’s changed her mind, since no other place will accept them, fearing the Giant Clan as savages.

The future Sin of Envy then meets up with Meliodas. She’s worried that she might not be accepted, but the Sin of Wrath says his group is made up of all kinds of people.

Diane returns to Megadozer, hoping to take Dolores with her. But Matrona tells her that the weak giantess died after being hired by humans to fight a gang of bandits. Diane asks if Matrona sent her, the giantess saying that it’s her duty.

Diane punches Matrona in anger, but Matrona easily defeats her with a single punch. Diane says that she’s not like Dolores or Matrona: she’ll fight if she has to, but only to protect someone, not just for the sake of violence.

Matrona comments that her student has become weak after wandering for 500 years, even trying to imitate fairies or humans with her outfit. Matrona reminds Diane of her pride as a member of the giant clan.

Diane remembers someone saying they’ll always love her. She thinks it might be Meliodas, but she’s not sure. The chapter ends as she thinks she should be allowed to dream, even if she knows it’s not real, her hopes of having a normal life something that still lingers after meeting Meliodas and King, even not remembering the fairy.

Magi 266-267

Judar is still mesmerized by his situation, sent flying by Aladdin and landing in a weird place, meeting with an equally odd creature claiming to be Alibaba.

The doll insists it’s the Dungeon Capturer, coming here after being struck by Belial.

Both of them comment on how odd everything looks, Judar still wondering how they’ll get back and Alibaba not sure about how, even though he’s been here somewhat longer.

Judar starts to leave, but is attacked by one of the monsters, saved by Alibaba again.

Alibaba explains that he doesn’t feel pain or hunger, but is nonetheless remarkably powerful in this world, possibly strong in spirit even if he doesn’t have a corporeal body.

Judar is surprised at Alibaba’s determination to find a way back, saying he was too weak, losing to Hakuryuu since he didn’t have the resolve to do whatever it took to achieve his goals. He says he’s completely useless to the world as a King Vessel, from his perspective as a Magi.

Alibaba willingly admits his faults, that he wasn’t motivated by something important to him. He promised Aladdin they’d stop the world from repeating Alma Torran’s tragedy, but then he fought Hakuryuu just because he wanted to.

The Dungeon Conqueror concludes that he’ll come back even if no one wants him to, focused on repaying his debt to Aladdin and making his place in the world.

Judar is bewildered at how both Hakuryuu and Aladdin were so interested in Alibaba. He begrudgingly goes along with Alibaba to find a way out as the chapter ends.

We start the next chapter with Judar and Alibaba discussing how weakened Judar is, but that all the Rukh in this area are Black type. But the concentration is very thin, so he doesn’t have much power compared to elsewhere.

As they still desire to fight with Kouen and the others, we shift to the strategy meeting at the Western Tenzan Plains, where Kougyoku, Kouha and Koumei are, since Kouen is commanding the armies from Balbadd, but Koumei is the strategist and second in command.

We’re told about the overwhelming amount of territory and soldiers the Western Kou Army has, compared to the Eastern Kou Army commanded by Hakuryuu.

The generals below the Metal Vessel Users think they will easily win. But Kouha reminds them that this battle has such importance that the loser will be regarded as a traitor, their forces demoralized and the leaders executed.

Kouha’s speech clarifies how crucial this fight is, Koumei reiterating it, saying their overall goal is to finish this war and never have conflicts afterwards to ensure peace for generations.

This inspiration is strong, everyone now more encouraged to fight than before.

Hakuryuu’s side has the two great generals who served Emperor Hakutoku, but there’re also those soldiers strengthened by Zagan and Belial, as well as reinforcements that Aladdin mentioned.

The chapter concludes as we see Kougyoku thinking to herself that she must fight with conviction, that she promised Alibaba that she would use her power to protect those important to her. The war will begin next chapter.

One Piece 788

People are still trying to keep Luffy away from Doflamingo, the String Man pushing at them from both sides, Birdcage closing in and the Shichibukai attacking the gladiators.

Gatz is told they still need to keep Luffy away, but they’re wondering about casualties. He says he won’t let Luffy go into a fight until he’s ready.

Law jumps down, saying he’ll take Luffy for now, knowing that every second counts.

Bartolomeo and the others take Zoro’s lead, pushing at the Birdcage with his Barrier fruit’s powers.

We’re also told about flowers that sprout from Mansherry’s tears, Dandehealions. One of the fluffs from it hits a man with a sprained ankle and it heals immediately.

It has super healing properties, but there’s a catch: it’s a limited effect. Once time runs out, the injured will revert back to normal, the healing only a buffer for the moment.

We see Mansherry, carried by Kabu, spreading her tears across the country as best she can, knowing she cannot fight herself, but only serve as a support for others.

Usopp encourages others to help, in spite of the risk that Birdcage still poses, using his influence as God Usopp from Doflamingo’s game he started.

Rebecca goes to where Doflamingo is, trying to stop him. She sees Violet, who’s ready to face her fears in spite of not having much combat ability herself. The Glare Glare Fruit user says she can’t let Rebecca put herself at risk. She volunteers to fight her former boss, ending this as best she can.

Franky and the Tontatta are still trying to push over the Smile Factory, while Zoro’s group is assisted by Isshou.

We see the people of Dressrosa all going to various places, helping Franky’s group push the factory or Bartolomeo’s group to push with the barrier.

Everyone’s surprised when the Birdcage actually stops cold for a moment, pushing further. They’re inspired to persevere, the chapter concluding as we’re told there’s only a minute left until Luffy recovers.

Bleach 628

Shinji and others in Kisuke’s group are shocked to see the new appearance of the Soul Palace, Shunsui thinking that Juhabach must have gotten extremely powerful to achieve something like this.

It’s revealed that the Soul Palace itself has disappeared, the 5 cities under it now connected like a pentacle, the entirety under Quincy influence now.

Ichigo’s group is told by Yoruichi that she senses Yuuichirou’s reiatsu, the group imagining him as more masculine than he actually is.

Yuuichirou tries to jump to where Yoruichi is, but finds he can’t make platforms with reishi.

Byakuya deduces that the reishi in this area, as dense as it is, must now be under Quincy control, making things much more difficult for them.

Shunsui concludes that with Ichigo’s group supporting them, they have a good chance. They just have to defeat Juhabach and then decide a new Soul King.

As the group moves forward, a huge palace appears in the center, Shunsui saying it’s as if they’re taunting them to come and fight.

The chapter ends as Haschwalth tells Juhabach of the trespassers, Juhabach naming this new place Wahrwelt, which means “True World” in German, stating that this is the true world now.

Toriko 325

We’re told about the Black Triangle, one of the 10 most dangerous areas in Gourmet World. It was said a meteorite the size of the moon dropped into it and disappeared, never heard from again.

Swimming in this Black Triangle, analogous to the Bermuda Triangle in Human World, is Fish Treasure ANOTHER. It leaves behind a Stardust Trail, though its children also have this follow them. The place where they’re sure to find ANOTHER is at the center of the Black Triangle.

The major issue is how to get there. Apparently even air travel isn’t possible, though we’re not told why.

Aimaru has an idea, putting a tiny drop of PAIR on the Real Globe, a depiction of the world in a smaller form, and then releasing Gourmet Slime Molds to show a path that’s best to find it on the map, since it reflects the terrain in an effective manner.

Livebearer inquires about the use of bacteria and amoebae to cook, Aimaru explaining that there’s a Dark Technique using it that Teppei possessed, though that isn’t directly told to us.

The group encounters Mother Tornadoes, made from the Mother Snake of Area 4 passing through.

As they start to land, being careful of the Conveyor Belt Islands, they encounter a Namibouzu, a giant wave creature. Before it can swallow them, Brunch and Starjun save them, moving ahead before more can attack.

Some start to move, but they’re attacked by a Gunman Sunfish and the chapter ends as we see Jiji, the Gold Chef, calling everyone over to his tiny island.

Fairy Tail 437

Everyone returns to Magnolia, agreeing with the idea of reviving Fairy Tail. Erza and the others need to tie up loose ends, but they’re making it a priority.

Lucy is a bit overwhelmed by the memories after coming back to where she met some of her best friends. She remembers the good and bad times, as well as the climactic moment when Makarov dissolved the guild, with no real explanation, even shutting down dissension with threatening words.

As Natsu encourages Lucy to head towards the guild, she hesitates, wondering if everyone even cares anymore, if they may have even forgotten about Fairy Tail.

Cana appears behind her, insisting that they haven’t forgotten, even if it was a life changing experience for everyone involved.

Lucy is pushed towards the guild building by Cana, meeting lots of fellow Fairy Tail members, like Macao from the early chapters as well as Bisca, Alzack and their daughter Asuka, plus Jet and Droy, Levy’s partners in the past.

We also see Elfman, Lisanna and Mirajane, all welcoming Lucy back. The Stellar Spirit mage is overcome with emotion, embracing Mirajane. The chapter ends as we see Natsu has found the guild’s flag, ready to revive the guild for real.
