One Piece is on break this week
Dr. Stone 63
We learn that Senkuu ground some
scheelite into dust and put it on Homura, leaving behind residue that he can
see with a black light he made that changes normal light into ultraviolet so it
shows up as the glowing spots we see
Kohaku notes that Homura’s
gymnastics make it difficult to capture her without injury, but she asks if she
could kill her.
Senkuu inquires if Kohaku has ever
killed anyone as we’re reminded when she threatened to kill Gen in the past.
Kohaku says she hasn’t, but she
feels she might need to steel herself to make that decision if it comes down to
that
But Senkuu assures her they may not
even need that, motioning to a box that Kinrou’s carrying
It turns out to be another cellphone
of sorts, Chrome’s group getting a call. Gen says they need to act like
nothing’s different, because he deduces that Homura is following them, so they
need to not give away the nature of the item they have with them
We see that Senkuu is thinking that
with this pair of cellphones, they could actually turn the tables on Homura and
do a pincer attack if they communicate their positions
The next morning, Homura realizes
the tracking principle from the powder glowing in the sunrise, washing it off
in the river
Senkuu figures this out, but Kinrou
comments that their cellphone is making noise as well, which turns out to be
Gen communicating to them through Morse code with the ringer, avoiding the use
of the receiver, but still conveying a message
With this information, they can
figure out their positions and arrange the pincer attack
Homura, spying on Gen and Chrome
seemingly setting up an antenna to get better signal, goes after said antenna,
but it turns out to have been a trick by Gen to distract her
Kinrou and Magma cut down the tree
she climbed up, allowing Kohaku to catch Homura in midair and tie her up
The chapter ends as Chrome’s group
prepares to head into Tsukasa’s territory to give the cellphone to Taiju and
Yuzuriha
We Never Learn 67
The festival continues as we see
Asumi playing with the light music club, an alumna herself. She leaves her
juniors and meets briefly with Fumino, who’s taken away by her classmates as
the play is nearly about to start
Yuiga slides near Kominami, who
realizes who he is when she hears him speak. He explains the situation, the
teachers from before still looking for him.
Asumi offers Yuiga some help, both
of them climbing into an air duct to escape, showing that she knows the school
as a former student.
Yuiga is teased by Asumi, who says
they could’ve met earlier, since they were in school for two years at the same
time and that they could’ve been friends, even suggesting something lewd,
though she quickly notes it was a joke to further embarrass Yuiga
Directing him to a duct above the
stage, the two see Satou and Suzuki still looking for Mafuyu.
Asumi distracts them, saying she’ll
charge Yuiga on his café tab later as we shift back to Fumino at the play
Yuiga is still nowhere to be found
as the students start to panic. The headmaster intervenes, saying they should
choose a prince from the audience
Kashima tries to stop him, but some
of the male students come up, forcing her to knock them away, revealing that
she, Inomori and Chono of the Thorn Society are all actually martial arts club
members; kenpo, aikido and karate respectively. They challenge the boys to beat
them if they want to kiss the princess
Yuiga notices the fighting,
wondering what he’s supposed to do (still not aware he’s the prince in question
that the Thorn Society wanted him to be)
The brawl causes the set to fall
apart, part of it almost falling on Fumino, but Yuiga narrowly gets her out of
the way
Fumino decides to kiss her savior,
the chapter ending as Yuiga and everyone else are shocked at this turn of
events
Fire Force 131
Shinra wasn’t able to sleep, still
thinking about the recent mission to the Chinese Peninsula, where they learned
of another Amaterasu reactor. He’s irritated that they can’t tell anyone about
it yet because of their ongoing investigation
Vulcan tells Shinra that he’s got a
new invention in the kitchen, Shinra finding Lisa, which he mistakes for an
android, poking her breasts
She knocks him on the head with the
new blender, revealing that she came back out of gratitude to the 8th division.
Shinra says she doesn’t need to worry about betraying them for the Preacher
like she did in the past, but Lisa isn’t entirely convinced by his words
Iris comes in, mistakenly thinking
Lisa is an android as well.
Oubi, head of the 8th division, has
everyone greet Lisa, drinking a protein smoothie made by the blender.
Konrou also appreciates a smoothie
from the blender, then revealing to the others about Benimaru’s investigation
into the Church of the Holy Sol.
With the new information about
Raffles I being impersonated by someone under the Preacher, things are getting
more intense
Lisa chimes in, saying she doesn’t
think anyone in the Church was connected with the Preacher, but before she can
talk further, she’s reminded of Giovanni and the trauma she still has from him.
Oubi thinks Giovanni is the
Preacher’s connection to Haijima Industries, Arthur wondering why they can’t
just attack like Shinmon did with the Church.
They explain to him that Haijima has
a veritable monopoly on production and most business in the Tokyo Empire
Shinra thinks Licht, having some
former connections to Haijima, would be able to help them figure out how to
further investigate, but he’s been called to report on their mission to the
Chinese Peninsula.
Hibana, captain of the 5th Division,
approaches Licht as he’s about to enter the president’s office, saying that his
report is risky with what it’s claiming about the Amaterasu reactors.
Licht is told by the president, Gleo
Haijima, that his goal is to investigate the 8th, not make Haijima seem
suspicious
The chapter concludes as he tells
Licht to bring Shinra to their lab, seemingly the one who’s been pulling
Licht’s strings (though we’ve also seen Licht associate with Joker in the past,
so could he be a double or triple agent?)
Black Clover 162
Rufulu mocks Asta having no magic,
but Asta retorts that he won’t lose any of his Black Bull friends, including
Luck.
The elf moves to strike, saying
there’s no way he could be seen now. Asta narrowly strikes at him, his anti
magic sword letting him trace the elf’s powerful mana with his antimagic form
But even this can’t keep up,
Rufulu’s power enough to push Asta back, the elf saying his rage won’t lose to
them. Asta calls out for Magna and Vanessa’s help, who use what little they
have to strike at Rufulu
They can’t distract Rufulu enough,
who knocks Asta into a wall, his body weaker after the attacks.
Magna assaults Rufulu again,
creating a smokescreen. The elf responds to this tactic by extending his mana
out, so that he’ll sense when Asta cancels it out with the sword
But when he attacks, Vanessa manages
to pull him back with her Thread Magic, Asta striking Rufulu with the antimagic
sword, seemingly reversing the reincarnation magic as the chapter ends
My Hero Academia 188
Endeavor uses his Quirk to blast
away the top half of the building, shocking nearby Heroes. Hawks complains
briefly about how the debris is making it tough for him to fly, though he also
admits the more feathers he uses, the less mobile he is.
Other Heroes try to offer support,
but High End uses another Quirk, seemingly splitting off more Noumu to occupy
them, Endeavor observing that this makes at least 6 Quirks now
He also notes that High End’s
tactics and focus meant it’s far more dangerous with its self awareness than
other Noumu
Hawks manages to keep the other
Noumu occupied, though he’s not confident in his ability to fight them
indefinitely
High End deduces that Endeavor’s
gotten weaker as his Quirk increasing body temperature will weaken him as he
uses stronger attacks
But Endeavor thinks he can’t
disappoint his family, unleashing a massive blast called Prominence Burn
Even this can’t fight High End’s
tactics, combining regeneration and throwing his severed head to let him get
behind the Hellflame Hero
The broadcast shows Endeavor being
heavily wounded, especially in the face by High End’s attack.
Everyone is shocked at this defeat,
High End wondering if there’s any Hero that can challenge him when he’s clearly
defeated the #1.
The chapter ends as Todoroki thinks
to himself that his father can’t lose, Endeavor remembering when All Might told
him that he has to become a hero worthy of respect as the Symbol of Peace
Seven Deadly Sins 272
The Demon King looms over our heroes, Wild
explaining that the leader of the Demon clan constantly consumes the creatures
in Purgatory to grow more powerful.
He realizes that Meliodas and the others have become
aware of the door, flicking away Wild as he rushes towards him.
The Demon King attacks them, making the landscape
explode around them
Ban tries to counterattack and uses Physical Hunt,
but his energy is absorbed by the Demon King instead, the pair narrowly
avoiding the follow up attacks
Wild manages to land a hit, but the Demon King
ignores it, knocking him back again as he says there’s no way that Meliodas and
the others will get through the gate
As the Demon King unleashes a barrage of lightning,
Meliodas returns it back with Full Counter, but it seems to have no effect
Ban asks what kind of ability this is, Meliodas
saying it’s called The Ruler, allowing him to seemingly negate powers in some
way
As he offers them an ultimatum to fight and die or
leave his sight, Meliodas’ father asks him what he knows about Estarossa, also
seemingly confused as to how neither of them can fully recall anything.
Meliodas reiterates the summary we know of
Estarossa, a weak willed child born without the powers of darkness and given a
Commandment out of pity by his father
This makes them realize that Gowther has been
manipulating them somehow, the chapter ending as King’s group, along with Hawk
and Gowther heads towards Camelot, seemingly pursuing Meliodas and the Demon
Clan.
Seven Deadly Sins is on break next week
