Black Clover 62

Vanessa has achieved victory over her opponent, who had set a trap for her, but was caught in it himself.

Yami is confident that the Black Bulls can win, the priest surprised at how strong they are. But he also thinks that if his kid and grandkids get serious, they can win, creating a nice comeback for this competition

Noelle and Kahono meet, Kahono explaining that she intended to find people with magical potential to go to the Water Temple, since that would allow her grandpa, the high priest, to initiate this game.

The Black Bull thinks Kahono used her, but the Temple Knight says she really did want to help and considers her a friend. But Kahono has a chance to achieve her dream if she wins, so she’ll take Noelle on with everything she has

Kahono tries to use her sleep magic on her, but Noelle reacts and defends herself with Sea Dragon’s Lair. Kahono then unleashes a wave of sound, pushing Noelle back.

Noelle counterattacks, but the assault misses. She insists to Kahono she can’t control attack magic, but Kahono retorts that she’s just subconsciously holding herself back. She asks why Noelle’s here, what she wants to achieve. Kahono insists that Noelle has to achieve something by her own actions, not with the help of others.

We shift to Asta and Kiat’s fight, Asta unable to read Kiat’s movements because of his Dance Magic.

The high priest is confident in his grandson’s magic, but we see Asta try to imitate it, saying he’s going to mimic the magic with his muscles, even if he can’t use magic himself, to counter Kiat’s strategy.

As Kiat tries to attack, Asta’s physical reflexes serve him well as he counterattacks, narrowly missing Kiat, the Temple Knight impressed by his agility, Yami thinking he can go further.

Meanwhile, Luck and Magna have met up with the priest’s son, his mana showing that he’s the strongest in the group, readying a massive water hammer.

But the chapter ends as Vetto of the Eye of the Midnight Sun appears, wanting to fight as well

Boku no Hero Academia 91

Deku’s group is ready for their next move, Bakugou and Iida trying to coordinate their bursts of energy to propel them further. Todoroki and Momo leave in the distraction, while the Villains try to stop them.

The only other person who has any chance of helping them is Magne, whose Quirk is Magnetism, able to magnetize others in various ways, but not himself. He tries to fire Compress, using the principle of polarity to bounce the same poles off each other, but he’s stopped in mid air by Mt. Lady. The others are disabled by Gran Torino, arriving to support All Might

All Might says that now he can go all out, but as Gran Torino goes after Tomura and Himiko, All For One forces Magne’s Quirk to activate, pulling the males, including Twice and Compress, toward Himiko as opposite poles.

As Tomura disappears, he pleads to his master that he wants to fight too, but All For One says he should continue on his own, Tomura implying that All For One’s body is on borrowed time and may die like All Might.

Gran Torino continues to fight, but with a combination of the teleporting Quirk he used before and an Impact Recoil, he throws the elder Hero into All Might’s attack path, knocking the punch back

All Might moves to punch again, pulling back slightly as All For One mocks the #1 Hero for all his actions to interfere with the Villain alliance’s plans. He wonders how All Might felt on the top, so satisfied with himself after defeating his allies.

All Might grabs All For One’s arm, stopping his teleportation as he smashes him with another punch, saying how he won’t let him hurt anyone again.

But the chapter ends as we see that All Might’s limit has been reached, reverting back as All for One says that he heard that same line from his predecessor, Shimura Nana

Seven Deadly Sins 175

Gilthunder demands Gilfrost teleport him, but he refuses, saying he won’t send someone to their death, nearly dropping the orb. Gilfrost’s ring intrigues Gilthunder, but we don’t address that as Diane talks to Matrona about whether Dolor and Gloxinia would’ve even helped them had they won

Fraudrin taunts Meliodas, noting how weakened he is from his fight with Dolor and Gloxinia.

He can’t forget his defeat at Danafor, but also mocks Meliodas for not checking if he was completely dead, his survival causing suffering to Hendricksen and Dreyfus when they found him years ago.

Meliodas tries to call out to Dreyfus and to Fraudrin’s surprise, the Holy Knight manages to wrestle control of his body back temporarily, though it seems to just be a trick as he fires a blast of Break from his blade, Meliodas even more injured than before.

Gloxinia follows it up by throwing the Spirit Spear Basquias at him, an even greater explosion resulting. As the dust settles, we see Meliodas has lost his right arm

Zeldris tells his brother that with his death, the demons will have achieved their initial vengeance for Meliodas’ betrayal from the past.

But we suddenly see Meliodas taking a stance, the others recognizing that he’s using Revenge Counter. Gowther observes that the amount of power he’s taken in is easily 30 times that of when he fought Hendricksen in his Gray Demon form.

As he utilizes the amazing force, the explosion appears to be starting, but is stopped suddenly by Estarossa, holding the blade back with one hand as Meliodas falls down, exhausted.

The Ten Commandment steps on his brother, saying that he really didn’t want it to come to this, since he loved Meliodas greatly as his elder, the chapter ending on this threat.

World Trigger 144

We flashback to a year before the first invasion, Yoko and Hana friends, Katori still having her bad problem of not being motivated to improve herself.

Hana’s father tells Yoko’s parents that they can’t play together anymore, because he’s concerned about his daughter’s studies being affected, Yoko irritated at his attitude.

We see that Yoko’s switching rooms with her brother, who’s right across from Hana’s room at her house, Katori saying that it wasn’t because of Hana’s situation, just that she felt like it.

Yoko talks to Hana about her constant studying, Hana saying she does it partly because of her parents, but also to become independent of them, should their advice fall short in the future, being able to stand on her own.

The invasion starts on a day Yoko’s sleeping in. She’s saved by Hana and they go to a safer area.

Yoko’s family is fine, since they went out that day, but Hana’s parents didn’t make it. Hana’s rationalization to Yoko when she asks why she did it is that she saved the person that had the better chance, since Katori’s house’s roof was thinner.

Later, Hana is still going to middle school in Mikado because she wants to join Border. Yoko decides to join as well, Hana saying that they’ll be rivals, since she aims to be #1, Katori thinking it’ll be fine, since she’s a genius and even suggests they should team up.

The chapter ends as Katori still is squaring off with Osamu and Yuma, resenting Osamu for his confidence.

Magi 306

Hakuryuu and Gyokuen’s second battle begins as Hakuryuu sends his Zagan creations to eat her after she pushed him back with a powerful attack.

But she rips through the monsters, saying that without Judar’s Isolation Barrier, Hakuryuu doesn’t stand a chance. She slashes him down, holding him by the throat.

He asks her one thing: when did she possess Gyokuen? Arba explains it was after she gave birth to Hakuryuu’s older brothers, meaning she was in control when Hakuei and Hakuryuu were born.

Just like Ithnan and the others in Al Thamen, she could’ve used a doll, but she wouldn’t have been able to exert the full physical and magical power as she did in Alma Torran.

So she had to give birth to more bodies to switch between, which she’s apparently been doing even before she took over Gyokuen in a lineage. Hakuei’s body will be used to bear a child as well for her next body.

Hakuryuu asks why she’s with Sinbad, thinking his mind may have been taken over. But Arba confirms he is in control, but eventually he and David’s minds will fuse in a sense and then Ill Illah will be revived.

Even Sinbad doesn’t know about this, but Arba notes that he doesn’t have to.

She mocks Hakuryuu, so weak with his desire for revenge driving him. But Hakuryuu retorts that with people helping him so much over the years, he’s given up on such vengeful thoughts.

Suddenly, the fortress city of Kina appears, Hakuryuu using Zagan to pull himself towards where Aladdin and Morgiana are.

He explains the situation, thinking that if they can separate Arba from Hakuei’s body and Hakuei doesn’t have children, she’ll be considerably weaker in any other body she possesses.

They fire the Demon Roar Cannon, attached to the city, blasting Arba away from the area as they then teleport away in the distraction.

Arba is furious at this development, at these plans that Hakuryuu set up to trick her.

She’s smiling for some reason, possibly from Hakuei’s influence, but she rights herself, thinking all she needs is Ill Illah, the chapter ending on her threat remaining in spite of a small victory.

Bleach 675

Viz’s translation of 674 suggests that what Byakuya said to Rukia and Renji was not that Gerard was comparable to Juhabach in power, but more directing them to help Ichigo because he was fighting Juhabach and needed their support in some way, that he was fine on his own and that he acknowledged their strong bonds of friendship.

Also, Souken is called sneaky by Ryuuken in Viz’s translation, which fits a bit more with him concealing something he stole rather than suggesting he naturally steals things.

Uryuu readies his bow, asking Jugram why he’s asking him these questions instead of killing him quickly and aiding Juhabach.

The Stern Ritter answers that, with Juhabach’s Almighty power he possessed before, he already saw the future and thus felt there was no reason to hurry to his majesty’s side, since he would defeat Uryuu’s friends regardless.

Uryuu retorts that the future he sees can change, but Jugram says it’s because he’s merely a vessel for the power, whereas Juhabach can unleash the truly frightening abilities it possess beyond precognition.

But before he’ll reveal that, Jugram proceeds to initiate his Schrift’s power, placing Uryuu on the figurative scales to balance him as a person.

Meanwhile, back at Ichigo’s fight, he’s stopped for a moment by Orihime, but she is pushed away by his look of determination.

Juhabach wonders why he fights, thinking he might be afraid of showing his power or losing it to the Almighty. But as we see Inoue healing Ichigo after each blow, his resolve is still strong with her support. Ichigo is warned that his death is inevitable, but he fights in spite of that.

Juhabach moves to attack again, but Orihime provides a barrier to keep Ichigo safe.

Ichigo explains that he’s been trying to awaken his Zanpakutou’s power with Quincy reiatsu, Orihime understanding why he was so resolved to keep fighting.

The chapter ends as Ichigo’s power is unleashed, his appearance now a mix of his Hollow and Soul Reaper powers as he stands off against Juhabach.

One Piece 827

Pekoms manages to get past security by saying he hijacked the Thousand Sunny and even convinces the guard not to file a report, saying he has a surprise for Big Mom onboard.

The Straw Hats arrive at the port, shocked that everything seems to be chocolate, from the clothes to hot springs and everything else. Nami has even changed into new clothes, Brook still trying to look at her panties and getting pummeled when he’s discovered.

Pekoms explains that there are 34 islands surrounding Whole Cake Island, the entirety of the region called Totland.  This one is ruled by Chancellor Chocolate. There are some rules regarding the eating of the chocolate structures in the area, Carrot not understanding them.

Surprisingly enough, Big Mom is said to want a utopia where everyone can live in peace, all races coexisting, though there’s likely more to her vision than that.

Luffy and the others have already left without disguises, Pekoms concerned he might be in trouble if others trace them back to him

Nami says they’ll find him quickly enough, someone crying out that a café was eaten. We see a police officer questioning Luffy and Chopper, who ate the building in question whole, not even allowing for some parts to be left for repairs.

As Luffy and Chopper are going to be taken away, the owner appears on a talking flying carpet. At first, it seems like the girl who resembles Pudding, Sanji’s betrothed, is the owner, but it’s actually the slime on her shoulder, Nitro.

They’re freed of suspicion when the woman, revealed to be Lady Pudding herself, says she hired them to dismantle the café before it expired, so they’re let off the hook.

The officer congratulates Pudding on her upcoming wedding, saying they wish her the best and hope she’ll rest before the festivities in a few days.

Pedro is noticed by one of his subordinates, who he silences before they bring too much attention to him.

Pudding offers them tea as she thanks them for complimenting her chocolate that she worked so hard on. She asks their names, but Luffy is stopped short before he reveals himself.

Meanwhile, Big Mom’s crew is still preparing for the wedding, various talking objects, such as flowers and furniture cementing an Alice in Wonderland vibe. The chapter ends as Big Mom eagerly awaits Straw Hat’s arrival, being told he’s in her territory recently.

Toriko 372

Joa’s confusion over GOD’s behavior is explained when the giant frog lashes its tongue out and eats the entire Fire Dome.

We see the beasts that had gathered in anticipation, GOD’s tongue flying outward. Stunningly, it actually touches its own back, having traveled around the world, pulling all the beasts it grabbed back into itself and gobbling them up.

It then begins to eat anything around it in a random pattern, Toriko’s group trying to dodge in the meanwhile.

Zebra gives a Sound Bullet to Ootake, telling him how to prepare GOD, Joa wondering if it’s already happening with its odd behavior.

Sani and Coco stop Joa, who tells them she doesn’t have time for this as her Tokage reveals Niceny, Dores and Kuromado from the Bishokukai.

Sani uses Satan Vomit to release Tommyrod, Coco’s Devil Poison drawing in creatures that have become dependent on it, including Grinpatch.

Joa sees Ootake beginning to prepare GOD, trying to slash at him as Sani uses Satan Hair to absorb the force. But he’s unable to take it all in, the power too much even for him as it starts to burst out.

Coco’s Mold Spear strikes Joa, the chef able to block Zebra’s Sound Cutter with a Gold Cutting Board. He heals the damage from the mold attack with his own fungus, the three Heavenly Kings apart from Toriko ready to fight him while Starjun, Grinpatch and Tommyrod handle the Bishokukai members under his control.

Meanwhile, it seems that Toriko has knocked Acacia down, preparing to finish him off as the Gourmet God comments how his dream won’t be achieved by him.

But as Toriko attacks him, NEO absorbs the force, Acacia preparing to eat Toriko as he initiates a Back Channel, ready to prepare him in his despair as the chapter ends on this threat.

Fairy Tail 486

We see Gajeel’s iron pillars being rusted by Bradman’s magic, the Reaper Spriggan saying that he has touched death itself, but the Iron Dragon Slayer isn’t intimidated, grabbing his arm and headbutting the mage as he retorts that he’s been looking for a plot of land for his grave

Eileen sends Hynhe and Juliet, in spite of Rakheid and Bradman already providing enough power themselves. She says that a third set of guests will arrive, the first being Sabretooth and Blue Pegasus, the second being Fairy Tail and the third revealed to be Crime Sorciere’s other members, the survivors of the Oracion Seis.

Eileen even notes that a fourth guest is arriving, but they are neither friend nor foe. She decides to personally confront this opponent, whoever it is, Hynhe and Juliet thinking they must be crazy to face her.

Meanwhile, Natsu’s group is flying on Happy towards the area, Brandish using her powers to make Natsu’s head temporarily bigger, even enhancing Lucy’s chest for a brief moment, seemingly enjoying the teasing of her temporary allies.

But suddenly, the group senses a great magic presence, turning out to be August, as they start to land where he stands, looking up at them.

Eileen notes how she needs to finish this quickly, since Zeref’s war game is going to be coming to an end with Acnologia’s appearance. And she says that as the Scarlet Angel, she will destroy the Black Winged One who dares to step in the area of the White Angel.

Back with Gajeel’s fight, we find that Bradman generates magic barrier particles, but Gajeel has significant resistance with his body trained with Iron Dragon Slayer Magic.

But as Gajeel attacks him with Iron Dragon Lance, we find that Bradman’s whole body is made of magic barrier particles. Gajeel is pushed back, but Levy’s magic is initiated, knocking away the power of Bradman’s magic with Holy Attribute powers. She also has a mask to keep from inhaling the particles, chastising Gajeel for even suggesting he was seeking death.

As the 2 sides square off, we shift to Zeref, who notes how the magic flow in the land is changing, wondering what Eileen is planning as the chapter ends
