WSR 1-26-15

Disclaimer: These aren’t official translations, merely scanlations. Buy localized or original manga to support the author if at all possible. Know the difference between piracy/theft and sharing without personal profit.

Magi’s raws seem to be a bit delayed, so we’re going to be a week behind until they catch up

Hi Fi Cluster’s end was somewhat predicted by people I follow, though it was a good concept. Don’t think I can reasonably start covering Gakkyu Hotei, though I certainly don’t think it will be cancelled, particularly because of Takeshi Obata’s name associated with it.

Boku no Hero will be covered by official WSJ in about 2 weeks, so look forward to that.

Boku no Hero Academia 28

We start with Todoroki establishing his team’s formation: Kaminari with his electricity power keeping people at bay, Momo making an insulator sheet and other defensive items, Iida at the front for mobility and Todoroki will fight only with his ice powers, since we see his father, Endeavor, is watching.

The Human Cavalry starts, we see Bakugou’s team, Kirishima, Sero and Ashido (I don’t think we know Ashido’s Quirk) as well as Todoroki and Izuku’s teams and their point totals.

Two other teams go after Izuku’s team, one of them using a Quirk that makes them sink into the ground. Izuku uses Mei’s jetpack, sending the group into the air. Tokoyami’s Dark Shadow protects them from Jirou’s attack, Izuku complimenting him on his ability to defend their blind spot and from a distance, no less.

They land with Uraraka’s Zero G power, her weight covered by one of Mei’s gadgets. Their maneuverability is exceptional as well with their Quirk and gadget combinations.

Hagakure’s group’s headband has already been taken, Shouji’s group of he and Mineta rush at Izuku’s group in the meantime.

Izuku’s group inadvertently steps on one of Mineta’s sticky balls. Tsuyu attacks, part of Shouji’s group as well, using their vast difference in weight to their advantage, since Shouji’s stronger than you’d expect.

Bakugou attacks Izuku, Tokoyami managing to block the attack. About 7 minutes have passed and Class B is actually the group that has the most points besides Izuku’s group maintaining their top spot.

The plan was to keep themselves in a relatively good position without putting themselves in a spot where everyone would target them like Todoroki, Izuku or Bakugou. With a higher number of people targeting the ones with the most points, it makes it more likely they’ll be eliminated in this round than those who started off with less points.

Bakugou makes a point to target the group that stole their headband, while we see Todoroki has focused on Izuku as the chapter ends on their conflict with less than a minute remaining.

Hi Fi Cluster 18 (END)

Peta is rushing out of the house, not wanting to be late for graduation. He meets up with Nano afterwards, who’s happy that he has a job and is continuing it, in spite of not telling her the details. All she knows is that it’s police work and that it’s better than what he was doing before, smuggling and such.

Peta thinks he still has to work a lot harder to become someone that can be relied upon to help others.  He rushes back to the office, called by Ekusa. He runs into Yokuto again, leaving as he’s in a rush and confusing him, since he’s likely Landscape Mole’s twin brother that was released. He asks his brother what’s going on, leaving it vague as to what happened with them afterwards.

Arriving at the office, Peta meets Ekusa, Heckt and Miri, Ekusa and Heckt confused at the tube, seemingly not familiar with graduation procedures or not having graduated from high school themselves.

We get a recap of things, Ekusa and Heckt still having their usual banter, Shanon having joined and being fickle as expected with accepting jobs, and Miri maintaining the order (we never figured out if she was a Hi Fi Loader or what her Hi Fi was, sadly)

Kandera appears, scolding Peta for being late and explaining their new mission. There are apparently improved Hi Fi Labels illegally being used in Ikebukuro, so they’re going to check it out. Peta’s worried about their power compared to Special Unit Six’s Labels, but Kandera assures him that everyone is capable of great courage, as Peta demonstrated early on.

The chapter and series ends on Peta hoping he can become someone strong like Kandera to help others.

Kind of sad the series ended, though in hindsight, the progression did feel a bit slow and it wasn’t as interesting as a series similar to this from the late 2000s called Blazer Drive, where people used stickers in a society for various benefits, like Fire Mystickers to heat water. It lasted 9 volumes too, so it must’ve been fairly popular in Japan. Hi Fi Cluster just couldn’t survive in a market overloaded by battle manga trying to compete for a spot.

Magi 253

Alibaba realizes Hakuryuu has conquered another dungeon, Hakuryuu beginning to use Belial on him. But Aladdin intervenes, explaining that Hakuryuu has fallen into depravity like Judar, the Black rukh he emanates a sign of this.

Judar appears, planning to assist Hakuryuu in the fight. They say that since Alibaba and Aladdin are Kouen’s allies, it’s more reason to not let them escape.

Hakuryuu uses Belial’s power, starting to manipulate Alibaba’s memories. But Aladdin pushes him away, able to repel the magic with his Borg. Hakuryuu says he’ll just have to alter Alibaba’s memories after they defeat him, starting to clash with Alibaba and using magoi manipulation to stop Alibaba from damaging his spear with Amon’s Djinn Equip powers.

Judar throws a hail of ice spears, Aladdin impressed at Judar’s overall power up. Alibaba seems to get an advantage over Hakuryuu as he grabs the spear and attacks, but Hakuryuu blocks the sword by the hilt and knees him in the face.

Alibaba notices Hakuryuu’s subordinates, Hakuryuu explaining he used Zagan’s plants in their brains to make them more peaceful and control their rage to serve him. He plans to do the same to Balbadd’s citizens, Alibaba enraged both because of Hakuryuu manipulating what are supposed to be his people and planning to do the same to what are in a sense Alibaba’s people.

The two clash as Alibaba says he cannot allow Hakuryuu to do such a thing, Hakuryuu saying they have no choice but to fight as the chapter ends.

World Trigger 90

We establish the points and members out by squad: Tamakoma 2 has 1 point and no outs, Suwa squad has 1 point and 1 out and Arafune squad has no points and one out, meaning they’re in the worst position at this stage.

Arafune and Yuma’s fight continues, the Martial Sniper demonstrating his skill with Kogetsu, which he was high ranked in until 8 months ago, when he became a Martial Sniper. He’s utilizing the Bagworm to hide his attacks and the leg Suwa took out from the attack earlier, but Yuma manages to dodge.

However, Hokari’s covering fire damages Yuma’s Scorpion, meaning the Sniper team has a slight advantage with Yuma using a weaker Attacker Trigger.

The other two members of Suwa squad are using Bagworms as well to hide from radar. Suwa and Sasamori have split up to try to take out Hokari and Arafune individually.

The major conflict remains to be resolved: Yuma or Arafune. Midorikawa thinks Yuma has a better chance, since Arafune is more a Sniper nowadays and his skills may have dulled.

Osamu’s presence, not using a Bagworm, serves to distract Hokari and Arafune, since he’s in a good position to attack either of them with his Shooter Trigger.

Hokari is being pursued by Sasamori and he decides to make a solid shot on Yuma while being taken out by the Suwa squad member afterwards, meaning they’ve already lost two members at this point, all depending on Arafune.

Yuma’s in a bad spot, initiating a Grasshopper. Arafune thinks he’s going to jump up, but Yuma leaps forward, slashing Arafune’s legs off.

Suwa tries to make an attack on Yuma, but he’s also off balance with losing a leg earlier.

Osamu tells Yuma that Sasamori is after him and he’s using a Chameleon, asking Usami to support them as an Operator. She locates Yuma’s position and relatively where Sasamori is attacking.

Yuma readies himself to counterattack, but stops as Sasamori grabs him, Yuma stabbing him through the Trion center to take him out. The chapter ends as Suwa prepares to blast Yuma away with the opportunity.

Suwa squad is now the threat, though Tamakoma 2 would still be tied even if Yuma got taken out. The points now would be 0 for Arafune and all 3 members most likely out. Suwa squad already lost 1, I believe, though they’ve lost 2 now, only Suwa left to threaten the group. Tamakoma has at least 2-3 points now and taking out Suwa would be fairly easy at this point, leaving them with only 1 loss and far more points than the other two groups by comparison.

Seven Deadly Sins 112

Diane and Elizabeth discuss Diane’s past, King having told her he will always love her and the giantess wanting to tell the fairy that she feels the same. Elizabeth is a bit jealous, since she thinks Meliodas doesn’t love her the same way. Diane thinks he does, but Elizabeth insists he loves someone he called Liz.

The two meet Zeal, wondering where Guila is. But he doesn’t recognize Guila’s name or even his own, seemingly having had all his memories temporarily wiped (since I don’t recall Gowther being able to outright destroy memories, but alter them)

We see Gowther and Guila in the distance, Diane bringing Zeal over, insisting he’s Guila’s brother. But Guila says Gowther is her only family.

Diane asks Gowther if he manipulated their memories, the Sin of Lust confirming as such very calmly. He explains that he only needed Guila’s heart, which can feel and understand emotions, Zeal unnecessary for that plan.

The scene shifts to Meliodas and Merlin still discussing what the Sin of Wrath wants from the Sin of Gluttony that she stole ten years ago. She says Meliodas should be careful about asking for it, implying it’s dangerous in some way.

Hawk comes in, acting very strange after eating what Merlin refers to as a spiritual power equalizing medicine meant for Gowther. Merlin thinks things have gotten very bad, implying that she both didn’t expect this reaction and that it may be very disastrous.

Gowther explains to Diane and Elizabeth that he had heard about the power of camaraderie, but also recognized a power that enhanced one’s abilities even more, love, in the fights that Meliodas and Ban had. He thinks love is stronger than bonds of friendship, so he used Guila to advance that theory.

The way Gowther suppressed Guila’s demon blood going out of control was through memory manipulation, allowing her to think she achieved her power on her own instead of through the demon blood offered to her, along with including himself as her lover in the past.

Diane is furious that her ally would alter someone’s memories so much, Gowther saying that this arguably helped her to become more psychologically stable, all her inferiority complex and rage at her own weakness gone with his “treatment”. Diane insists that Guila and Zeal’s bonds as family cannot be erased so callously. But Gowther says his plan doesn’t require the love of anyone but himself and Guila.

Diane tells Elizabeth to run while she tries to fight Gowther, utilizing her Creation power to make a huge pillar rise out of the earth behind them to stop one of Gowther’s attacks.

Gowther utilizes his Sacred Treasure to initiate his Blackout ability. Anyone with a Spirit Level below 400 within a 3 mile radius of Gowther is rendered unconscious for 10 minutes.

Diane, seemingly one of the few who managed to resist Blackout, says that she once forgot her memories with King, but they must’ve been deep in her heart, so she can’t forgive him for trying to alter the precious memories of another. The chapter ends as they clash, the fight between them starting.

Both Meliodas and Merlin have Spirit levels well above 400, so they should be able to resist the power and come to Diane’s aid. But how far away is the fight and how long can Diane last? And do other fighters have Spirit levels above 400 that we aren’t aware of? We know a decent chunk of Power Levels, but only about 4-5 of the exact numbers per subtype.

One Piece 775

We start with Manshelly asking Leo for a piggyback ride, Leo saying the princess is selfish, since she can heal herself. She then says she won’t go with them unless he does it, Leo begrudgingly accepting as Kabu thinks to himself the princess isn’t like this with anyone but Leo, suggesting romance.

Jora is reminded of the true power of the Heal Heal Fruit, able to seemingly restore even damage to inorganic objects at the cost of her life (translation might be better with Viz, which is something I’ve noticed; a reason to buy WSJ even if you’re also following the unofficial scanlations). With this ability, they can rebuild the Smile factory even if it’s destroyed.

Franky and Senor Pink’s fight reaches a climax as both of them are nearly exhausted, having taken their strongest attacks 30 times each, mostly because they’re stubborn.

Senor Pink pulls Franky up the tower with his Swim Swim Fruit power, planning to finish him off with this attack. He says if Franky can stand up after this, he’ll admit defeat, and murmurs about a lost love and his son from the past. They crash to the ground, Franky standing up as Senor Pink grumbles at his cockiness.

Franky uses Iron Fist Boxing and finishes Senor Pink off.

Senor Pink thinks to himself that it was raining hard like this the day he met Lucy Anne, his wife, and when she left. They met as she was escaping the rain under cover of an awning. She tells Senor Pink she hates pirates after she says she loves the rain, the pirate covering his tracks by saying he works at a bank. They get married and have a son, but he still hides his true identity up to the point their son dies of a fever as she’s going to save him, Senor Pink elsewhere.

Lucy Anne leaves in disgust at discovering her husband is a pirate. Senor Pink regrets even meeting her, not telling his wife about his profession because he was afraid of losing her. After a landslide that hits her as she runs away, she’s in a vegetative state, still able to sit up.

He dresses up as their son after finding his bonnet and gets a smile out of her. This inspires him to continue this manner of dress, seemingly doing it up to this day, since his suit means nothing compared to making his wife smile.

Franky wonders what Senor Pink is crying about, asking him to tell him the story of Lucy Anne over a drink sometime as the chapter ends.

Pretty sure One Piece is off for a few weeks, sadly

Bleach 613

We resume with Ichibei insisting Ichigo’s group can’t hope to defeat Juhabach, but that Juhabach himself has seemingly seen this in the future, related to the peace the Quincy King desires.

Back where Kisuke is, Ukitake appears, saying he’s healed everyone but Kenpachi to full mobility, thanks to Isane and Hanatarou’s help.

Kenpachi appears, insisting he’s fine, and asks where Yachiru is, Kisuke saying 11th squad is searching for her. Kenpachi leaves to search, but Kisuke initiates a barrier to stop him, saying that it’d be dangerous now.

Nanao stops Kenpachi from attacking Kisuke by standing in the way. She says that it’s more practical to have Kenpachi’s squad search for Yachiru while Kenpachi provides what help he can after being healed.

Kenpachi agrees, Kisuke asking everyone to take orbs, similar to those used with Kuukaku’s cannon, and fill them with reiatsu as he opens the roof.

The chapter ends as Ichigo’s group arrives at the Soul King’s chambers, Juhabach saying Ichigo is destined by fate to die here and he should be thankful Juhabach will do it.

I was a bit confused at a 5th person in the group, but it’s Yoruichi, since she did in fact join the group when they were shot up by Kisuke a while ago.

Toriko 310

Kaka explains that this Festival, called Monkey Festival or MonFest, is meant to be a challenge to the Monkey King for his title. All the monkeys who made it up to the peak are at least Assistant Master rank.

The Four Kings ask if the Monkey King will be fighting seriously, Kaka saying that he’ll just be playing, so with them fighting seriously, it’ll be an even playing field. The type of match changes every festival: this year it’s Pro Wrestling.

Coco is having difficulty standing up, since their stamina is low from doing Enbu training and warding off gravity. Bambina, on the other hand, is wide awake and rested. So they’re still not on equal footing, Toriko thinking they should try to immediately get PAIR.

But Bambina suddenly rings his testicles together like a bell, the sound resonating through the entire continent. Toriko notices that the taste is somehow being transmitted through the tone and their stamina is restored. They look forward to the actual ingredient, Zebra especially, since his sound powers can only destroy or repel, not heal or restore.

Toriko entrusts the protection of Komatsu to Kiss, Terry and Quinn, saying they should wait until they’re stronger to fight their rivals and allow the Four Kings to help Komatsu.

The rules are different from normal pro wrestling, just knockouts involved.

Zebra volunteers, but Sani says he has a bone to pick with Bambina, since he was the one Bambina underestimated. Apparently he can tap out, so there are some similarities with pro wrestling.

Sani is immediately thrown into the ropes by Bambina, who prepares a lariat. But Zebra jumps in to pin Bambina’s arms, saying that since there really aren’t rules besides a knockout, then he can tag team. The chapter ends as Sani utilizes an Enbu secret technique, seemingly hitting Bambina in the crotch area and doing some damage.

I doubt the battle is over that quick, though I wonder how long this whole match will last.

Fairy Tail 417

The chapter has no dialogue, so this is more interpretation at some points.

Gildartz is travelling, beating up a giant monster and meeting up with Natsu and Happy as they’re on their own journey. They hang out for a while, eating, bathing and spending the night together.

Gildartz wakes up to find Natsu is gone, discovering him at a waterfall. They seem to bond, Gildartz understanding that Natsu misses Igneel.

The two have a duel, Gildartz having a slight advantage as usual, but Natsu stronger than before, impressing the Explosion Mage, since their last fight at the S Class Qualifier at Tenrou Island was more Gildartz showing how powerful he was and Natsu frozen in fear.

Natsu is almost eaten by a giant dinosaur monster, Gildartz causing a huge amount of damage to the area to save him. Natsu doesn’t want to fight anymore, leaving as he and Gildartz part ways.

Gildartz looks at his luggage, noting that this isn’t his stuff. Natsu and Happy see all the erotic magazines Gildartz has in his bag as the chapter ends with Gildartz trying to get his stuff back and Happy noticing a picture of Gildartz with Cana.

WSR 1-19-15

Disclaimer: These aren’t official translations, merely scanlations. Buy localized or original manga to support the author if at all possible. Know the difference between piracy/theft and sharing without personal profit.

Seems like Magi’s raws took longer than usual, so we’ll be skipping that this week.

Boku no Hero Academia 27

Deku is intimidated by the glares of people seeking him out at the top for the 10 million points he’s worth in the next round, starting to feel the pressure of inheriting All Might’s power and his position as the strongest hero.

We get an explanation of the rules for the Human Cavalry: the headband’s value is based on the combined point totals of all members. A group isn’t out if their headband is stolen, so they can still try to grab as many headbands as possible, since there will be an average of 10-12 groups in total. The goal is to get as many headbands in the 15 minutes allotted and they have 15 minutes to decide their groups before things get started (Deku wants to team up with Uraraka and Iida, most likely).

We see a discussion by pro heroes about the value of each trial: the first demonstrating that sometimes you have to be ruthless in pushing others aside to advance your own status, but the second more about cooperation and understanding the value of teamwork in spite of the competitive nature of the hero business.

Bakugou and Todoroki are sought out for their fairly high point values, Bakugou a bit less friendly and also not familiar with most of his classmates’ Quirks.

Deku is approached by Uraraka, who says she’s fine with teaming up, since she’s good friends with Deku. He asks Iida if he wants to join, already creating a plan with their Quirks having good synergy.

But Iida refuses, saying he has to compete with Deku to improve himself, not satisfied with being a sidekick. He’s seemingly joined up with Todoroki, Deku realizing even friends can become enemies in this competition.

They’re approached by Mei of the Support Department, who we saw use some of her inventions in the first round. She says Deku stands out and she has lots of equipment, something likely very compatible with Deku and Uraraka’s Quirks. They need to find one more, Deku picking someone unknown to us, as they’re off panel.

The competition begins as the chapter concludes, 13 warhorses gathered. The 4th member of Deku’s group is Tokoyami, introduced a few chapters ago, who has the Dark Shadow Quirk which manifests as a shadow he can manipulate.

Hi Fi Cluster 17

It turns out the truck and weapons nearby exploded, Heckt and Ekusa relatively unscathed.

Kandera saves Ichiro, injured in the explosion, from a falling pillar, Ichiro wondering why he did it. Kandera responds the same as when he saved Shanon, that no matter who you are, it’s over if you’re dead and everyone deserves a chance to redeem themselves. Ichiro was his friend, so he couldn’t help but save him.

Peta and the Nobel Hi Fi Loader are safe, Miri giving Peta a Hi Fi to put on the girl.

Peta thinks to himself if he’d met Landscape Mole instead of the girl, he might be in her situation and vice versa.

We see Landscape Mole, injured from a stray shot of a police officer. Kandera moves to capture him, but he’s attacked, his artificial arm shattered. As Landscape Mole thinks he can still accomplish more, Kandera punches him with his other arm.

Landscape Mole thinks he can still fight, but he realizes that Kandera’s Hi Fi wasn’t on and that he wasn’t a Hi Fi Loader beyond his prosthetic arm, which was destroyed in their fight.

Kandera says that it doesn’t matter how he gets an ability if he uses it to stop people like Landscape Mole. The boy is interested, thinking he might sit back and watch more.

The police move in to capture him, but Landscape Mole disappears. The incident isn’t covered by the media, Ichiro apprehended and the girl taken into custody. Peta thinks something might happen as the chapter ends.

World Trigger 89

Reiji takes Yuma to defense duty and Chika home in a flashback as Osamu continues to research for their Rank War battle against Arafune and Suwa squad, thinking that they have so much info, but Arafune and Suwa don’t know much about them, which is a slight advantage.

We resume the Rank War in progress, Chika splitting off from Osamu and Yuma to maintain a good sniping position, while Osamu and Yuma go to get points.

Suwa’s closing in on Arafune, Tamakoma having drawn the snipers in with their cluster formation to distract them.

Hanzaki makes a shot on Suwa. But he had a precise Shield Trigger on his head to block the attack.

Another Arafune squad member takes out Suwa’s leg, confirming their positions to the other Suwa squad members as a necessary sacrifice.

Arafune Squad’s Operator warns them of someone coming up, initially thought to be one of Suwa squad, but it’s actually Yuma. He makes a good attack, but misses the vitals, one of Suwa’s members taking him out, the major weakness of a Sniper revealed: when they’re in range, they’re almost helpless.

Suwa Squad gets the first points, Tsutsumi trying to take out Yuma, who dodges the shots. Suddenly, the Suwa agent is taken out by a shot seemingly teleported in from elsewhere.

But it was actually Yuma using the Grasshopper Trigger, bouncing off it and cutting Tsutsumi in half. He was taught that by Midorikawa in training at some point.

Yuma and Osamu move to take out Hokari, but they’re almost struck by a sword blow as it’s revealed Arafune, the leader of the squad, used to be an Attacker, considered an Action Sniper.

The chapter ends as Arafune is seemingly setting up Yuma to be taken out by engaging him in direct combat.

Seven Deadly Sins 111

King asks Jericho why she’s still in the Fairy Forest, not many humans welcome. Jericho retorts that King isn’t very welcome himself, saying that she’ll follow Ban anywhere.

King inquires as to what Jericho thinks is attractive about Ban. She tries to say she doesn’t love him, King saying the Fox’s Sin doesn’t really have any interest in her, not unlike with King loving Diane, but Diane loving Meliodas in the fairy king’s mind.

The Holy Knight responds that she’ll just have to persist and show that she’s more interesting than Elaine was. Ban appears behind her, saying there’s no way and telling the knight to take her clothes off, which King thinks just makes her more attracted to him in a twisted way.

Ban explains that once he’s finished preparing, he’s leaving the forest. King wonders if he’s going back to the Boar’s Hat, Ban responding he’s going to search for a way to revive Elaine.

Jericho demands to come with him, still owing him for saving her life before. King suggests they consult Merlin, Ban saying he has no intention of returning to the Seven Deadly Sins.

King tries to convince him that Meliodas isn’t mad at him, Ban saying that’s exactly why he’s doing this.

Ban also tells King that if he has time to worry about him, he should go back to Diane, saying she still loves him. King thinks it’s a joke, but Ban says he’s not lying.

We flashback to the morning before the festival, where Ban tells King that Meliodas wanted him to get the food and drinks. Diane bursts out of the bar, wanting to go with King, but he says it’d be boring.

As Ban goes back to sleep, he hears Diane say that every time he goes away, she gets so lonely, it’s like she could die.

King wonders if Diane got her memory back, Ban telling him to go back.

Back at Liones, Gowther takes a pill from Merlin that’s supposed to help with his armor.

Diane bursts in, wanting Merlin to help her find King, since she hasn’t seen him since yesterday. She assures the giantess that he’ll pop up when she least expects it.  She also says they have some important preparations to start on.

As Gowther leaves, he spits out the pill and throws the container given to him, meeting up with Meliodas, who has some business with Merlin as well. He reminds him that they’re leaving for Camelot in a day.

Gowther asks if that’s an order, Meliodas saying not exactly. The Sin of Lust refuses, saying he just doesn’t feel like it.

Gowther meets up with Guila, the two leaving as Meliodas is confused at their being together.

Elizabeth sees Meliodas, Diane confused as she runs away, following her.

Meliodas talks to Merlin, asking for what she took from him ten years ago. She asks if it concerns what happened yesterday, Meliodas saying that the possibility of Hendricksen being alive isn’t as pressing as the demons revived, the Ten Commandments. He describes them as the top generals under the Demon King himself.

Merlin is especially excited, her magic going out of control for a bit, calming herself and starting to help Meliodas.

.

The chapter ends as Zeal appears before Guila and Gowther being all lovey-dovey, asking to talk to his sister. Gowther says he can talk to him instead, seemingly preparing to use his Invasion power to manipulate his memories, the evil hints much stronger now for this character.

One Piece 774

Robin asks Diamante if this is really fair, the executive responding that he never intended to play fair from the beginning, wanting to just execute them. Robin assures Kyros she’ll protect Rebecca

Bartolomeo is confused at Gladius’ men taking him away, saying that their duty is to take him away.

The Tontatta group at the Smile factory is concerned about their princess. Viola contacts Leo, who says he’s on his way, but she tells him he needs to hurry, since Jora is making the princess use her Heal Heal Fruit power.

Leo and his group rush to help Manshelly, who’s being pressed by Jora to revive the executives they’ve recovered so they can turn the tide of battle in their favor. But the princess says she’s realized that Doflamingo is a bad person, Jora saying she can’t do anything against them, starting to twist her and make her cry. Her tears revive a random goon, Jora surprised at this revelation, further abusing Manshelly to make her cry more.

Viola explains the situation to Leo, who makes it to where the princess is. Jora is dropping tears on the executives, but Kabu manages to push them out of the way, the tears dropping harmlessly.

Leo then stitches all the executives to Jora with his Devil Fruit and then has them all fall on her, defeating the Art Art Fruit user.

The chapter ends as Leo rescues the princess, who seems to have a temper, punching Leo when he says she’s gotten heavier.

Bleach 612

We get a brief recap, Juhabach saying he will destroy the Soul King, who he calls an imperfect god. He thinks the Soul King may have foreseen this, but it doesn’t matter, slaying the person he calls his father.
Renji and Rukia meet up with Shinji and Oomaeda, Shinji saying his wounds weren’t much. But Oomaeda makes a bigger deal out of it, saying that they shouldn’t insult Shinji by saying he’s the reason they got injuries at all.

Renji wonders why Oomaeda brought his sister along, Oomaeda responding that she’s asleep. Soifon tells him to be quiet, since he’s the loudest of the group, thanking Hinamori for healing them before.

Renji asks if everyone’s here, Shinji saying they still all have to get there, since they got a message (presumably from Kisuke) to meet at this location. They meet up with Kisuke, Byakuya and the others, Soifon doting over Yoruichi’s brother Yuushirou, giving him some spending money like she’s his aunt.

Shinji asks Kisuke where everyone else is, since only Byakuya’s arrived, besides Nanao.

Kisuke explains that 7th division has their own mission, so they won’t be joining the group. Byakuya was told by Mayuri that 3rd and 9th division’s captains will be coming with the 12th division. Kenpachi, Shuuhei, Madarame and Yumichika are all recovering, Kenpachi the worst off of them. The one group that they don’t know the status of is 10th division’s captain and vice captain (implying Hitsugaya and Rangiku could be dead, though they may not know of Hitsugaya’s zombification)

Shinji asks if they plan to find the others, but Kisuke says they’re going to the Soul Palace with the help of the pedestal Mayuri made and the items Yuushirou brought.

The chapter ends as we see Ichigo’s group heading to the Soul King’s palace, Ichibei saying that they cannot beat Juhabach, leaving us with strong tension as to their safety.

Toriko 309

We start with an explanation of what happens when Bambina sleeps, jumping into the stratosphere with a jump that launches him in a mere second over 50 kilometers into the air. He then takes a nap in the border of earth’s atmosphere, his face calm and happy as he likely dreams of his lover.

Toriko’s group is still confused about the ring, Kaka thinking it means something. But then Bambina crashes down from the air, still asleep. He wakes as the group shouts out in shock, sitting up and preparing to move, the drop of drool signifying the start of a slowdown.

As Bambina moves to face Zebra, the Gourmet Hunter manages to dodge the pointing finger, Coco doing the same with Bambina’s attack on the back of his knees, simply falling on his back. As Toriko begins to arm wrestle, unleashing his Gourmet Cell Demon, Sani catches the King, noting they were still playing Hide and Seek.

Toriko apologizes for before, saying they can be good playmates for him now. But the chapter ends as we see seemingly every monkey on Area 7 congregating together, Kaka saying that they intend to see a true match between Bambina and the Four Kings.

Fairy Tail 416

Lucy tells us it’s been a week since their fight with Tartaros, still recovering. The guild isn’t sure they want to rebuild, Makarov thinking this might be the end of Fairy Tail.

Laxus wakes up after his recovery, embracing Evergreen and Bixlow, sad that he couldn’t protect them better (likely referring to when they fought Tempesta and the anti magic particles were released).

Wendy, meanwhile, has her hair lengthened by Cancer (who apparently can do that as well as the reverse), Cancer asking Lucy if she wants adjustments as well.

Pantherlily and Charle talk about how Wendy and the others, such as Gajille, are still adjusting in their own way to their losses: the Dragon Slayers of their Dragons, Lucy of Aquarius and Gray of his father.

Happy and Natsu are fairly stable, more worried about their financial situation and thinking things will work out somehow.

Meanwhile, Gray is still at his father’s gravesite. Juvia appears, telling Gray she killed Keith, indirectly dooming Silver to death. She thinks she can no longer love Gray, but he thanks her, breaking down and crying as he embraces her.

Erza thinks to herself that she can’t trust people anymore, but Jellal appears, saying she’s the best person to trust others, having seen their best and worst over the years.

He thinks that Crime Sorciere, on the other hand, is not unlike a dark guild, now including the ranks of the surviving Oracion Seis. He hopes Erza can shine enough to dispel their darkness as they fight Zeref from the shadows.

Doranbolt meets with Makarov, saying he won’t erase his own memories, though he’s done so for everyone else (presumably their knowledge of the Demons?). Makarov says it’s fine, revealing a Fairy Tail crest on Doranbolt’s shoulder. He says the Magic Council member was originally a member and altered his own memories to be a spy in the organization that was suspicious of Fairy Tail.

He tells Doranbolt that everyone else has made their choice and decided their paths; Makarov concluding he has no choice but to disband Fairy Tail as a guild.

Lucy goes back to her house, finding a letter from Natsu, saying he and Happy are going to go train. She’s somewhat sad, though it feels like she knows he’ll return.

The chapter ends with everyone resolved to meet their goals: Gray to destroy END, Natsu to get stronger and the others on their own missions.  But we also have it revealed by Zeref that Natsu is END, the acronym standing for Etherias Natsu Dragneel.
