Disclaimer: Scanlations and official sources both have a place in the community, but buy official manga volumes to support the author. If you can, also subscribe to Crunchyroll and/or Shonen Jump through Viz Media to read chapters nearly simultaneous with Japan. Most of the series covered can be found through legal means, so please encourage the industry that gives us what we love

A Bleach oneshot came out that seems to be leading into a possible new arc. Set after the time skip, we learn more about how soul burial works for those who have higher amounts of spirit pressure. They aren’t reincorporated into Soul Society, but are actually sent to Hell. And Szayelaporro reveals this as Hell Beasts attack and Ukitake’s Zanpakutou appears out of the gate, now vulnerable to being opened because Aizen and Juhabach are both gone seemingly.

World Trigger 211

The squads process their standing and how to improve, Hyuse even bringing up that technically because of his language limits and how they heard his answers, that them “cheating” to finish the test questions is permitted because the higher ups are also gauging their adaptability as a squad. Kodera notices the positions and contacts Suwa about something

Neru Way of the Martial Artist 4-7

The exam begins, Neruma managing to figure out that he can do the exam even while going up the stairs to the next segment, where he must take a scarf from a ninja and turn in the test, also ringing a bell. His unique talents that allow him to memorize the information for the test in combination with the physical exertion show that he has the potential to get the #1 spot as well.

Neruma manages to take a high ranking ninja’s scarf, his skills through training his feet allowing him to step on caltrops just lightly enough to not get hurt with pure instinct.

With students established prior to have been doing less than reputable methods to get accurate tests and the ninja scarves, Neruma confronts them when they bully someone that was taking the test alongside him at the start. He beats them up a bit, remembering his grandfather’s advice that martial arts isn’t for dominance and helps Toriichi up to where the bell is, acquiring a horse at some point.

Neruma and Toriichi manage to pass, though just barely, Neruma barely getting any points in the written portion. But he learns about achieving the Ultimate status by getting top marks in all 18 disciplines, which only Jokuro and 2 other students are even likely to. And Neruma’s grandpa supposedly achieved Ultimate before Amato was a school, a new goal to strive for. The first day begins, learning about the curriculum and Neruma sparring against a girl he saw before who is overcompensating in regards to being a girl and possibly underestimated. He manages to pin her, though he’s embarrassed when he saw her bra, but she insists she should be treated as an equal.

Red Hood 5-8

The werewolf, seemingly the father of Dodou and Naraoia, called Lycaon, and the witch with him, Cinderella, reveal that Red List (a group of monsters?) is rising against the Hunter’s Guild, as well as hint that Grimm is using a spell of sorts for her adult form. Cinderella burns the village to the ground and Lycaon, recognizing Velou’s bravery, decides to wait until he becomes stronger to eat him, the boy demanding that Grimm take him with her

Grimm is suspicious of all the convenient aspects of how she came to meet Velou, since the axe he has from the mayor is likely made of wolfonium, the wood splitting he did served as knight training and the Red List members, the top targets of the Hunter’s Guild, went to that village in particular. As they head off, the group comes up against some monstrous crabs, two assistants to Grimm beating them up, but revealing that they failed the exam, that difficult to enter the Hunter’s Guild

Velou gets on the Ironworks, meeting Debonair Diamond the conductor, and the training starts, one of the trainees, an old man called Bremen, leaving within a week, though not just Tylty and Mylty, but Bikjoe Bonkers, who failed 4 times before and is still trying. In spite of the difficulties, Velou refuses to give up and we see Cinderella and Lycaon along with the Mayor, who appears to have been training Velou for a greater purpose.

After seeing that the Mayor was part of the Hunter’s Guild, but is working with the Red List for some purpose that aligns with theirs, even if they are somewhat still enemies, we move back to the Ironworks. The exam begins, a modified game of Cops and Robbers, anyone who fails having to go back and endure the 3 month training back to Borderport. We learn that Debonair also has a curse like Grimm, hers based on heat, which she managed to control and can use in fighting, such as stopping a giant manta ray from attacking.

4 Knights of the Apocalypse 25-28

At Cant, Percival’s group splits up. Anne and Percival try to get money for an inn after she blew it buying supplies. They bet on a wrestling competition, Anne able to discern a guy is stronger than he seems, while we learn that Donny is Howzer’s nephew, but also see that a group is targeting them for some nefarious purposes

Donny is beaten up by Howzer, who thinks his nephew is up to no good and the Knight Captain takes Anne’s money she earned betting on Percival wrestling several guys 3x his size. However, Nasiens proposes a drinking contest and with his constitution strengthened by experimentation with potions, he’s confident he can win. But Howzer and Nasiens are threatened when the leader of the bandits in Cant, Edlin, appears, a former apprentice that trained with Donny

Nasiens almost turns the tables after Howzer falls unconscious, Edlin aware of his limits in drinking. But after threatening Percival and the others, the group is thrown in prison, only Donny still able to do anything. Surprisingly, the tavern owner is Taizoo, a fighter from the old days that went up against Howzer in a tournament. And things only get worse when it’s revealed Edlin has a contract with an ancient dragon that is ending soon

The contract is actually a threat involving the ancient dragon’s egg and Edlin’s made a real imitation with magic, the true egg hidden elsewhere. But while Taizoo seems to recognize Edlin is still good, not letting the other bandits kill anyone or do anything bad to women or children, the bandits try to take the egg and end up breaking it, the dragon starting to smash the area in rage.

Candy Flurry 14-17

While Midori decides to focus on evacuating the students and Tsumugi keeps fighting the Gummy user, Irie’s fight against the Cookie and Gum user appears to be against her. But after a conversation where the Gum user is accused of sexual harassment, Irie takes things seriously and uses a confeit to power up, her Ice Cream powers giving her the advantage.

Irie is powered up immensely versus the Cookie and Gum users and beats them both. But the Gummy User steps in, using some unconscious students as hostages, Irie unable to appeal to his humanity. She leaves it to Tsumugi, since now her identity can’t be exposed to outsiders.

Tsumugi and Irie team up against the trio after Tsumugi apologizes about hesitating (Irie forgiving her because she fights for other people in spite of that) and the Gum user remembers when they were involved with experiments that predate the ToyToy Candy that was released to the public. Their leader, Amato, seemingly the original Lollipop user, had plans that may have led to Tokyo’s destruction 5 years ago. But when Recette plans to capture Tsumugi as well, Irie defends her and Recette turns on her as well.

While Irie and Amenai stand off,Amato attacks and gets his crew away, fighting off the high ranking Recette members easily. And more of the Candy User villains attack in the city, Tsumugi attacking Amato, to his surprise, since he thought it was Midori from the newspaper story.

Dr. Stone 206-208

Taiju’s group revives everyone in Corn City and Senkuu, back in Metal City, tasks them with making parametron computers, 200,000 of them, so they can get to making the calculations for the moon launch. It’s much simpler in principle, but is also basic in the hard work required to craft all of them so Sai can begin programming as well.

With a need to send the schematics for more advanced computers, Senkuu uses a fax machine, which thankfully Corn City has blueprints for that Xeno gave Taiju before they left, conveying the images. A group pic from Corn City brings up memories for Sai and Ryusui, both of them actually not considered legitimate heirs of the Nanami corporation (even though Ryusui achieved significant things?) and that bond between the half brothers pushes Sai to agree to Ryusui’s request, joining the crew as they head out

More work is done to create memory for the massive calculator, about 30 million tiny magnet grids weaved and it manages to work well. A math contest is held, more a pretense to show that the device actually works, since Magma participates and gets the answer right via the calculator, which also leads to a bank being formed for the reward Ryusui offers.

My Hero Academia 321-324

Class 1-A’s efforts are combined again, this time to send Iida at Deku, mirroring how Deku helped him when Stain was targeted by Iida for attacking his brother months ago, which seems to change Deku’s willingness to accept help

Deku eventually folds as Bakugou apologizes, admitting that he had to recognize Deku’s strengths even after he was overcompensating for his own jealousy and inferiority. But back at U.A. the people who’ve evacuated aren’t all in agreement to let Deku in, since Shigaraki is after him, Ochako comforting Deku to reflect that even Heroes need support in hard times

The people are still unconvinced about letting Deku in, but not only do the Heroes make an argument, based partly on us learning in flashback that UA can literally move around via maglev tunnels underground, but Ochako also emphasizes how much suffering Deku has experienced for the sake of others, so they should be willing to take the mild risk of All For One attacking so Deku can rest.

Ochako persists in the idea that everyone should support each other in these difficult times, because even Deku is still human and not beyond suffering fear, as all Heroes experience in their line of work. Both the girl Deku saved a brief time ago and Kouta from the Hero Training Camp move to offer Deku encouragement, since he inspired them in a small way.

Fire Force 276-279

Kurono confronts his doppelganger, denying that replacing him is possible because he doesn’t consent to being replaced and will take him down.

In spite of the doppelganger trying to assert themselves, Kurono notes that they’re just trying to get the benefits of being him, but don’t align with him remotely and defeats him soundly

Meanwhile, we see Assault’s Doppelganger is unaffected by Tamaki’s sex appeal (a thing that consistently was a weakness of his), but Juggernaut shows up to help her (still not admitting he has a crush on her outright, though it’s been clear throughout their interactions that he does)

Maki, Hinawa, Oubi and Arrow are all beaten easily, even Juggernaut thrown into the air (likely to come back and assist, he’s not unconscious like the others). With only Tamaki, Licht and Vulcan there, Tamaki’s lucky lecher activates, but it isn’t effective, bystanders even slut-shaming the 8th division member as it seems like the situation is hopeless

One Piece 1020-1023

Robin moves to defeat Black Maria, turning the taunts into praise for Sanji relying on her and not being the coward everyone thinks he is, while Brooke handles her minions. We also learn that Yamato’s Devil Fruit is a wolf guardian, the Mythical Zoan, Ookuchi no Wakami

Black Maria turns the tables briefly on Robin, but we see that Robin not only learned Fishman Karate for Koala and the Revolutionary Army, but also a technique that makes her resemble a demon (likely using Armament Haki or such, since her body becomes black) and the Tobi Roppo is defeated, along with her troops with Brooke’s swordsmanship. Back at the Flower Capital outskirts, Luffy is still eating with Caribou’s help (storing food in his Swamp Swamp fruit “cavity”) and Momonosuke asks Shinobu to use her Ripe Ripe fruit to age him so he can fight back against Kaidou.

With the Tobi Roppo beaten, the opponents that remain are arguably stronger, Hawkins forcing Killer to eliminate Kidd in order to beat his Devil Fruit’s power of straw dolls, Law and Killer’s captain facing Big Mom. Raizou faces Fukurokuju, who claims that he’s not a true shinobi serving Oden’s ghost and Perospero is attacked by CatViper before he snipes Sanji. But the major fight involves Sanji, Marco and Zoro, the swordsman recovering thanks to Chopper’s efforts and the two attacking King and Queen, the Pteranadon Devil Fruit user alluded to be of a rare race from the Red Line according to Marco.

Zoro and Sanji continue clashing with King and Queen respectively, the swordsman’s skills tested and Sanji’s capacity going up against the cyborg. Meanwhile, CatViper and Dogstorm take on Perospero and Jack respectively, ready to avenge Pedro and uphold the honor of serving under Oden. And Luffy is approached by Momonosuke, now a giant dragon, aged to 28 by Shinobu.

Black Clover 301-303

Megicula’s curses are weakened by Charlotte, empowered through Rill’s Twilight Valhalla magic. The devil unleashes an army of corpses reanimated by magic and the power of Acier and Vanica’s souls. Asta is unable to fight, still exhausted from Devil Union, but his encouragement of Noelle reinvigorates her, the royal realizing she loves Asta (finally!) as she moves to take down Megicula

With not only Rill and Charlotte, but a barely alive Gaja (revived by Rill’s Twilight Valhalla) and Luck stepping in as well to assist, Noelle makes a strike to Megicula, but is still too weak even in her Saint Stage state. Thankfully Nozelle arrives to assist, ready to avenge his mother and protect his sister.

We see Nozelle remember how he beat himself up for his mother’s death, unable to tell anyone and keeping Noelle away to protect her from possible failure and loss of more family. In the present, his Mercury Magic allows him to destroy Megicula’s body, but his heart remains

It seems like Gaja, Charlotte and Rill may expire from their injuries, but Nacht brings Mimosa, who uses her Ultimate Plant Magic to heal even Gaja, the Spirit Guardian admitting he loves Loropechika romantically, Noelle and Nozelle both awkward in their own ways about talking to the people they care about. And we shift over to Yuno and Langris’ fight against Zenon, Yuno asking for 3 minutes to finish things off.
