Obon break this month, so one less chapter overall

Doron Dororon sadly concluded right at the end of August

World Trigger 224

The squads try to figure out their strategies for the increased unit numbers for the simulation battles.  Mizukami in particular coming up against a problem, but the major focus is on Osamu’s group and his involvement. They do better, though still have to deal with their limits and Katori, noticing Hana and Rokuro’s poor performance, starts to feel depressed

Aliens Area 10-12

Tatsunami and Sharaku meet Kiyotaro and Suzu from Team 5, Tatsunami and Suzu both new recruits that share a lesson about the equipment, involving a controller and output device. The two options given are a gun and a katana, both good for beginners, but Tatsumi requests a contact lens with an advanced CPU in it instead, Kiyotaro inquiring why

Tatsumi is doing a preliminary exercise to test his aptitude with Yumeko, one of his superiors. An alien wants to see a ninja, but given they’re basically nonexistent, they instead train to be one, which leads to stealing cat food from a convenience store. Tatsumi uses his lens that allows for tracking and other special vision to aid Yumeko in apprehending the alien.

Tatsumi and Sharaku follow some aliens to a snack lounge, discovering the owner, Akina, is associated with Polaris, a group of civilians who shelter and assist aliens. She calls out the poor policies of Foreign Affairs 5 and how they barely help aliens, many not wanting to live on earth long term. But with the reveal that she knows about substance implants like what Tatsumi and Sharaku have, her importance changes

Doron Dororon c34-36 (END)

Heisuke confronts Kanbeh, but before he can finish off the mononoke, Miyamoto appears to face the one called the strongest in the Izanagi Corps. He severely wounds Heisuke and then faces not only Yuusai Yagyu, but Tsukahara, both injured when they cover their subordinates to block Miyamoto’s massive attack that destroys HQ, empowered by the forbidden technique of merging with mononoke. With everyone else either occupied or injured, Heisuke tasks Dora and Kusanagi who managed to get there afterwards, to find and defeat Miyamoto before he unleashes Nobunaga

Unfortunately Miyamoto releases Nobunaga and since the immortal mononoke has lost his senses, the human/mononoke hybrid absorbs his power, becoming near invincible. Tsukahara tells Dora and Kusanagi that their power can break the seal and defeat Miyamoto. While the old man is knocked away, Miyamoto able to use the techniques of those he’s consumed, Tsukahara manages to muster enough strength to utilize another powerful strike, giving an opportunity for Dora and Kusanagi to break Miyamoto’s seal

Dora and Kusanagi take advantage of Tsukahara’s attack (which unfortunately spent his remaining life force, dying soon after) affecting Miyamoto’s vision and supernatural energy sense and push through his counterattack to break the seal. Miyamoto vanishes into dust and Kusanagi follows after. A few days later, Dora tells Yachiyo he’s going to be a police officer and make the world a better place, as Kusanagi does in the mononoke world, the series concluding on this note

4 Knights of the Apocalypse 72-74

Lancelot saves Guila from Jericho, who then escapes. But he follows after and learns Jericho has always been in love with him since their journey three years ago through a portal (awkward age difference!). And now she only wants to live in the world Arthur has created for her, where she can live with Lancelot forever. She flees via magic and Lancelot finds the knight she was targeting is dead.

Back with Mela-galand, Gawain and Percival confront the demon directly, but even Tristan’s attack is dodged somehow. Gawain utilizes her power to immolate them with flames and Donny, in spite of the risk, uses his Telekinesis to throw the monster away, the battle likely still not complete, but the tables having turned in their favor

Gawain shrinks to a younger smaller form (reflecting that she’s likely Escanor’s daughter or inherited his power regardless), Anne taking her away as Percival and Tristan try to fight. But they, along with everyone, is affected by some unknown contagion. Hendricksen appears and tells Nasiens that it’s some kind of toxin that Melagaland released and thankfully Nasiens uses his Mix Venom to detoxify everyone. And Dreyfus, along with Isolde, start to turn the tables and attack Melagaland to keep Percival and Tristan safe while they recover

My Hero Academia 362-364

While Tamaki’s attack doesn’t seem to do much, surprisingly, Bakugou manages to stand up, an unexpected effect of his Cluster technique giving him speed to the point he can dodge Shigaraki’s attacks. But unfortunately his heart is seemingly torn out by Shigaraki while other heroes nearby try to intervene and get him to safety.

Shigaraki mocks the heroes’ efforts, meanwhile Dabi is still managing to hang on, imitating Shoto’s new technique and killing nearby heroes in Endeavor’s agency supporting Shoto. Skeptic is hacking networks to advance Re Destro’s ideals while seeming to help Shigaraki. And All For One says the tables have turned, the villain planning to pursue their dreams to destroy the current order

All For One has utilized a modified bullet that reverts him to his physical prime, which he plans to use to free Shigaraki, since the effect will be temporary and he’ll ultimately perish,  his successor continuing on. The U.S. and others are deliberating how to submit to Shigaraki, since he’s grown too powerful. And Bakugou, seen as the best hope, is starting to be revived with Edgeshot’s help, though it will be a sacrifice for him as well, mirroring All For One

One Piece 1056-1058

Raizou and Shinobu are recovering after the battle, Kinemon at the capital while his wife Otsuru waits at Okobore Town, her face injured, but otherwise quite alive. Carrot is made the new ruler of Mokomo by Catviper and Dogstorm, to her shock. Luffy’s crew, along with Law and Kidd’s as well, head out, learning that Buggy has formed a Cross Guild with Crocodile and Mihawk, putting out bounties for Navy members.  And there’s a clue about a man with a burn scar (which could be at least 2 people), Luffy out of the loop as we see Yamato plans to join the crew (likely as Oden did, not permanent)

Surprisingly Yamato actually has decided to travel Wano and learn as Oden did, eventually hoping to go out to sea. But Momonosuke and the others rush to see Luffy and the others off, Luffy giving a sad Momonosuke a flag to hang, showing that the Straw Hats will protect Wano if it’s in danger. And the dramatization of the events in the form of a rakugo performance (I think?) concludes, the arc wrapping up as well.

We learn the Straw Hat’s new bounties, but more importantly we see how Buggy is not really in control as much as it was suggested, Crocodile and Mihawk strong-arming him into compliance and using his position to advance their Cross Guild, especially Buggy becoming an Emperor recently, viewed as a threat by the World Government based on incomplete information.

Black Clover 333-335

We see the backstory of Lucius Zogratis, who seemingly was the original body that was then given over to Julius, the second soul that inhabited it. But now Julius’ soul is gone, only Lucius present, and more powerful than ever after consuming Lucifero’s heart along with the power he has from Astaroth, his devil. Asta, with his anti magic, seems to be the only one capable of standing up to the new Wizard King, who plans to reform humans to fit his idea of true peace

Asta fights Lucius, able to counter his time magic, but Lucius reveals not only does he have magic that can grant him sacred power, but his innate magic, Soul Magic, can alter anyone’s soul. He takes Sister Lily hostage and transforms her, now a loyal thrall and Asta is wounded severely by Lucius

We see that Sister Lily’s soul has been mostly taken over by Beelzebub, Zenon’s devil, using Spatial Magic to stop Noelle’s attack. Asta is seemingly killed by Lily (unlikely to actually be dead, he’s the protagonist) and Lucius announces the judgment will happen in 7 days, changing the world in his perfect image as the Wizard Emperor. The captains arrive, but Lucius teleports them away, likely to defeat them in a battle
