Tokyo Ghoul Re seems to be delayed, so I'll cover it and next chapter next week (though I'll be at a con, so it might be delayed until Sunday or Monday if I'm especially busy.

Seven Deadly Sins 98 and 96.5

Chapter 96.5 is an omake chapter which has Elizabeth looking for ingredients. But she’s tricked by bandits, who plan to do bad things to her. But Hawk and the others come and save her, scaring away the bandits with their reputation as the Seven Deadly Sins.

Chapter 98 begins with Meliodas saying that they’ll take on Hendricksen. The demonic druid moves to attack Meliodas, but Ban dislocates his shoulder with his weapon, Meliodas knocking him into the air. Diane slams him into a cliff with Gideon and as Hendricksen tries to attack again, King stabs him into the ground with Chastiefol. But Hendricksen recovers relatively easily, even relocating his shoulder.

Meliodas asks Gowther to aid with the plan, King shocked to see that Gowther is casually carrying his severed head and reattaches it, seemingly unharmed. He transmits the plan with Broadcast to everyone, Meliodas starting the attack.

Instead of readying Full counter, Meliodas quickly moves behind Hendricksen, managing to block the counterattack and throwing him off the spire of earth he’s standing on. He attacks him again, Gilthunder going through with his part and attacking them both with strongest Tempest power attack.

The Holy Knight with Gravity powers uses them, another Holy Knight following up with a mist that seeps into the skin, doing damage that way. Another knight prepares to attack and as Hendricksen tries to attack, Meliodas holds him, taking the attacks.

Hendricksen quickly perceives that this is the strategy, Meliodas the decoy to seal his movements so the attacks land and Meliodas depending on his toughness to survive.

But Hendricksen thinks that Meliodas could use Full Counter to dodge, so he deduces that Elizabeth only restored his physical vitality, not his magical stamina, so he can’t even use it anymore.

Hendricksen attacks him with a giant black fireball, the chapter ending as Hendricksen thinks he has the advantage. But Meliodas still seems confident he will win.

World Trigger 78

Osamu picks up Replica’s body and moves to retreat, worried if he’ll be able to survive without his assistance. Hyrein crashes into a nearby building as Miwa continues to press him.

Hyrein sees Mira and she directs him to the Rabit, which he turns into Trion cubes with Alektor.

Replica reveals he’s still alive, removing Osamu’s tracking beacon in his arm. He’s on auxiliary systems now, only able to use basic functions. The Replica opening the door will take about 20 seconds and the original Replica has an idea of how to avoid attack until then.

Meanwhile, Yuma is at a distance from Viza, unable to get closer. He decides he has to take a gamble and move forward at the best moment. He makes his move, stopping just short of one of the blades with a Chain Trigger and using Bound to sacrifice his legs and take the attack in his blind spot that would’ve otherwise killed him.

But it looks like Viza manages to slice Yuma in half, saying his blades cannot be beaten with such a simple maneuver or brute force.

However, the Yuma he attacked was a decoy disguised as him, in reality a Weight Trigger. Yuma attacks from behind with Boost as the chapter ends on him with a significant victory, Viza heavily damaged.

Magi 243

We start with a flashback to Judar and Hakuryuu entering the 68th dungeon, Belial, where he acquired his second Metal Vessel. Judar explains that he acquired his new power of teleportation magic before they came here.

Hakuryuu asks why Judar is working with him, the Magi explaining they are alike in a way, Hakuryuu not liking that, but resigned to use Judar’s power for his own goals.

The two enter, each seeing different sights, as if under an illusion. Hakuryu consults with Judar, who says the rukh is similar ot Zagan’s, meaning the magic type is Life, so it’s affecting their physical sight.

Judar mysteriously disappears, Hakuryuu meeting an illusion of Hakuei. The two discuss Hakuei being apologetic about not helping Hakuryuu, Hakuei then asking Hakuryuu why he wants to kill his mother, saying he doesn’t have to anymore. Hakuryuu responds that it’s his brothers’ desire, but she says they wanted peace, Hakuryuu creating a civil war in the country.

Hakuryuu starts to think that he and his brother’s goals are the same, but he is wounded and sees a bizarre appearance, the vision of his sister warping. Belial speaks to him, saying that they won’t allow him to lie: any time he does, the conflict with his true beliefs will damage his body.

Meanwhile, Judar is with an illusion of Aladdin, who tells him that he doesn’t consider him wholly evil, since he was taken by Al Thamen when he was a baby. But Judar says he’s killed many people and caused such chaos with Sinbad and others. Aladdin says that doesn’t matter: Judar’s true desire, according to the Magi, is to create a good kingdom with a King Vessel at his side. Judar says he’s right, but still attacks Aladdin.

Hakuryuu is fighting with Belial, who says he judges the King Vessels by their integrity. Hakuryuu is now confronted by Morgiana, asking him to come back and fight alongside her, Hakuryuu responding that it’s too late.

Morgiana responds that they share a common enemy, so they aren’t at odds. Hakuryuu starts to think they’re right, even considering that he should ally with Alibaba. Belial thinks this might turn Hakuryuu to a White King Vessel. But Hakuryuu doesn’t take Alibaba’s hand.

Judar explains that there’s something inside them, presumably their Black Rukh, that is conflicting and won’t let them do what Belial wants as the chapter ends. I guess this will be part of how they acquire the Djinn’s power in the end.

Naruto 696

Naruto and Sasuke remember the saying that a single exchange of blows between two top class shinobi allows them to see what’s in each others’ hearts. Naruto asks if Sasuke still wants to kill him even knowing his heart, but Sasuke says that’s exactly why he must kill Naruto.

Naruto responds that even if he starts a new village, it could crumble in the future. Sasuke says he’ll watch over it. But Naruto then says that the villages are united now. Sasuke retorts that was only because they had a common enemy, but now that it’s defeated, they will separate again.

Naruto wonders what Sasuke will do when he dies, Sasuke thinking that with the Rinnegan and the reincarnation/transmigration of successors with Indra’s chakra, he’ll find a way. Naruto contemplates how pitiful it is for Sasuke to devote all eternity to taking on this hatred, but Sasuke responds that this is his Hokage ideal.

Sasuke and Naruto separate, Sasuke saying Naruto won’t kill him with attacks like that. But Naruto says he doesn’t want to kill Sasuke, the Uchiha utilizing the 9 beasts he sealed in earth and vowing that he will take his first step into shadow by absorbing all the Bijuu’s power into Susanoo.

Kurama notes that this kind of power will be like Hagoromo’s at his peak, so Naruto should be wary. Naruto summons Shadow Clones of his Kurama form, Sasuke saying that technique is only a reflection of his loneliness as a Jinchuuriki.

Sasuke’s Susanoo armor, now with a human appearance underneath, manages to fend off Naruto’s Kurama Shadow Clones. The two clash with attacks again, Sasuke concluding afterwards Naruto doesn’t have enough energy to use another Bijuudama. He readies an arrow to fire, Naruto gaining a huge amount of natural energy from Kurama’s meditation. He prepares two massive attacks, one a Rasenshuriken in appearance, the other a Bijuudama.

Naruto tells Sasuke they both have difficulties from their past, but he wants to properly defeat Sasuke this time.

The two fire off their attacks as the chapter ends on Naruto saying that Sasuke needs to return to how he was.

One Piece 764

Corazon explains to Law that he never told Law he couldn’t speak, Doflamingo just concluded that on his own. As Law continues to make a scene, Corazon uses his Nagi Nagi Fruit to create a soundproof wall. Law wonders if Corazon also was acting like a fool on purpose, though he apparently is also prone to accidents anyway.

Law asks why Corazon hid this from his friends, but Corazon replies that he never saw them as such: his only goal was to keep Doflamingo’s madness in check. He sees his brother as a monster, since even when they were being hurt by the people who wanted revenge, Doflamingo just redirected their hatred right back at them. He reveals that only the 4 in the inner circle know of Doflamingo’s true nature, and Vergo, the first Corazon.

Corazon tells Law that he must get away and not become like Doflamingo. But Law says he wants to become like him, he admires him.

Corazon then explains about the D family briefly: that  kids are told they will be eaten by D, that adults comment that people with the name of D will cause a great storm and that D in a certain land are called God’s Natural Enemy. He thinks the Tenryuubito might be God and that the D family’s goal is to destroy the World Government.

Law says he joined the family to kill those he sought revenge against. He also says didn’t become Corazon’s subordinate, but Doflamingo’s and that he’s going to reveal Corazon’s deception, not caring if he dies. Corazon attacks him, but Law knocks him into a dumpster and gets away.

Corazon and Law later meet as Doflamingo tells Corazon the Marines have found them. Law says that they’re even after Corazon didn’t rat him out 2 years ago, since Law decided not to do it either for Corazon’s secret.

Later, the group finds out Law and Corazon are missing, Corazon having kidnapped Law to try to cure his illness.

Corazon speaks to Sengoku, revealing he’s an agent of the Marines. Vergo then talks to Sengoku, requesting a transfer to G5.

Corazon qualifies he’s not a Marine, taking Law to a hospital, which treats Law with the same prejudice he’s been used to. This infuriates Corazon, taking him to many other places that all reject him and treat him as infected.

Corazon thinks to himself that this isn’t because Law’s in the D family, but because he feels sympathy for a child who already is consigned to death.

The chapter ends as Doflamingo calls on Corazon’s Den Den Mushi, looming with a possible threat.

Toriko 297

After Zebra’s reckless killing of a monkey that taunted him, the group is surrounded by Jarillas and multiple other monkeys before Denshark can get away.

Zebra tries using Death Sound, but a monkey resists and Zebra rips its head off with his Gourmet Cell Demon arm. But the Jarilla regenerates its head and the group is forced into battle, Zebra blasting the monkeys away with Sound Bazooka. Toriko calls Terry, Kiss and Quinn to assist.

Toriko goes up against Crazy Salsa, which manages to redirect his Nail Punch.

Sani, Coco and Zebra all meet up with other bizarre Monkey beasts, like Iai Aye (technically lemur more than monkey), Medusaru and Kannon Gorilla.

We find out there’s a ranking system based in Enbu, a Monkey Martial Art, each ranking called a Monk Dance. 5 billion monkeys comprise all the members and there are only 4 Masters, the ones permitted to do as they please and Bambina is above even them.

All the challengers now are at the bottom rank and still have so much stamina. The group notices they can redirect the force out of their bodies, like the Four Beast could. Suddenly, the monkeys move to bow to a superior, the group thinking it might be Bambina herself.

But a little spiked plant hides back in the ground. The group falls into a pit made around Denshark and awakens to see ruins of a past civilization, the chapter ending as a Nitro appears to guide them.

Bleach 601

As Ouetsu threatens Juhabach’s elite squad, his sword trembles, Gerard thinking it might be because the sword has been unused for so long. He slashes, the attack dodged by Ouetsu and doing damage to Kirio’s tree.

Ouetsu counterattacks, taking Gerard down in one stroke and boasting of his great power after the fact, saying he defeats everything in one slash.

Lille, the X Axis, is skeptical, noting the liquid substance the sword was held in before Ouetsu drew it. He fires a shot, but it explodes harmlessly behind Ouetsu, who says with the stance he has, the bullet was cut in half by his sword. Lille fires more, Ouetsu slashing them all away and cutting off Lille’s arm, leaving him bleeding.

Ouetsu then sees Pernida, stabbing him with extreme speed as he throws the blade into his head and pulls it out in a quick motion.

He then moves to kill Askin, but he moves behind him, Ouetsu perceiving this and slashing him. With the second blow, he seemingly kills Askin, complimenting him on noting the slashing power of his sword, Sayabuse. The sword cut so cleanly, that he had to make a special sheath for it and keep it hidden, since it would be too perfect a blade for popular knowledge. He thanks Juhabach and his group for rushing into Soul Palace, so the sword could show its true power.

But Askin stands up, saying that such an attack won’t kill him. The chapter ends as he curses the nature of his power, his seeming inability to die making him a prime target for Juhabach’s elite forces.

Fairy Tail 404

Kyouka is still astounded Erza can stand with her senses blocked and her pain sensitivity at its maximum. Erza kicks Kyouka in spite of the pain it will cause herself, continuing to do this for a bit. The others are confused, thinking she might have unlocked a 6th sense or something, but Happy just thinks it’s because it’s Erza.

Kyouka continues to drain the timer down and slashes Erza, the combination of Erza’s pain reception at its highest and Kyouka’s enhanced power with her Curse ability making Erza feel like she’s being torn apart. But Erza keeps striking Kyouka, eventually slashing at her. But she falls, the finishing blow made by Minerva.

But Kyouka smiles, Franmalth watching on and ecstatic as Face turns on, magic threatening to disappear as the chapter ends.

We got Tokyo Ghoul:Re’s first chapter, so I’ll take the initiative and start covering it in expectation of Naruto’s imminent end. First chapter’s a bit longer, but it’ll be better afterwards, since this is still in Weekly Young Jump.

Tokyo Ghoul:Re 1

The chapter starts as we see various characters of importance from the 1st half, like Tsukiyama, Hinami, Ayato, as well as unfamiliar characters, who seem to be half ghouls. We see a new character with an eyepatch as the scene shifts to the CCG’s 1st division headquarters where another new character, Sasaki, is discussing public relations. He eventually leaves to find Akira Mado.

We see another new character, Tooru Mutsuki, from Sasaki’s squad, getting blood drawn. The doctor tells her to request her squad members get blood drawn as well.  She runs into people from Hirako’s squad and they talk about how Mutsuki’s squad, newly formed, is apparently an embarrassment to the CCG.

Elsewhere, Akira speaks to Sasaki about this, saying he’s in charge of 4 people called Quinckes (not sure if this is distinct as a word from Quinque, the anti Ghoul weapons), who are speculated to be able to become as strong as Sasaki’s father (adoptive?), Arima Kishou, the Grim Reaper of the CCG.  Akira is confident that Sasaki has the potential to become as strong as his father, since he’s gotten a special award called the White Wing.

Sasaki meets up with Mutsuki, who explains that the other investigators in their team are seeking out Torso, a dangerous Rank A ghoul. He goes with her to request the data on Torso in order to help them, but the investigator who leads Hirako’s squad in his absence says that Sasaki’s being arrogant by using his inability to control his subordinates as an excuse to get the data. Sasaki begs him, but he says he doesn’t see their squad as proper investigators, so he rejects Sasaki again.

Sasaki and Mutsuki go to find the data at the main office, while the scene shifts again.

Urie, the leader of the squad (theoretically below Sasaki and Akira in rank, since he’s Rank 2, while Sasaki’s rank 1 and Akira’s a first class), gets into a taxi, asking to go to CCG.

Urie suspects the driver might be Torso. The taxi driver is indeed a ghoul, Urie losing his Quinque and assisted by Shirazu another squad member. They defeat him, revealing that they, like Kaneki from the 1st part, are half ghouls. Sasaki appears, finishing Kobayashi, the taxi driver ghoul, and saying that they should work together. But Urie says that if they blindly follow the rules, they’ll never see the end of ghouls.

The chapter ends on explaining that the Quinckes squad is new and is meant to exploit the ghoul powers against other ghouls.

Interesting start, though there’s definitely a lot of stuff we still don’t know. Sasaki being related to Arima in some way makes me curious, since he’s 22 and we don’t know how much time has passed between parts. Arima was about 29 at the end of part 1, so it seems like Sasaki was adopted, if Arima’s considered his father in some way. The new squad makes me think Kaneki is alive, though being exploited like Touka’s father Arata, to make these Quincke squad members.

Seven Deadly Sins 97

Diane and King are confused at Elizabeth’s new power (which is impressive, since King is hundreds of years old). Elizabeth demands to know why Hendricksen became so evil, since her father trusted him and she saw him as the kindest person.

Hendricksen simply says that in order to revive the Demon Clan, he needs her blood, as an Apostle of the Goddess. He readies another attack, releasing Dark Nebula. Elizabeth screams for Hendricksen to not hurt anyone, her power bursting forth. It clashes with Hendricksen’s and knocks it away, healing everyone in the vicinity and spreading out through the kingdom.

Meliodas and the others appear before Elizabeth, saying that she healed them. But Hawk is still a black mass, Margaret noting that lives already lost cannot be brought back. This means Elizabeth’s power has a limit.

Hendricksen appears, seemingly barely damaged by the blast of light from Elizabeth. Even with their wounds healed, the Holy Knights think it’s still pointless, Gilthunder still saying they have a chance. But he’s paralyzed with fear at Hendricksen, who rushes at him.

Suddenly, Meliodas kicks Hendricksen in the face, knocking him away from Gilthunder. He then punches Hendricksen, seemingly leaving a serious mark. The chapter ends as Meliodas says they, as the Seven Deadly Sins, will help them with all their power. It’s just him, Diane, King and Ban at this point, Gowther seemingly still recovering.

World Trigger 77

[Apparently Ashihara sensei was unexpectedly out last week, which is why we didn’t have the chapter. It seems like in the rush to get a chapter out this week, Ashihara couldn’t ink the character’s faces, which is why the pic I have seems off.]

Yuma asks Viza if he’s ever fought someone stronger than him, the elderly Neighbor responding that you can’t determine that fully until the battle is over. Yuma proceeds to retreat, Viza slicing through buildings to find him. Yuma, using a strategy combining various Triggers, launches a sneak attack on Viza, but Viza’s experience with people fighting against his Trigger allows him to block it in spite of Yuma targeting his blind spot.

Miwa is fighting Hyrein and is almost damaged by the same jellyfish hidden by Hyrein, but Replica uses a Shield to block Miwa’s foot from touching it. Miwa tells Replica to leave him be, but Replica says he’s not doing it for Miwa.

Osamu and the original Replica are fighting Mira as Hyrein contacts her. She says she’ll capture them soon and they agree to regroup at the ship when they’re done. Mira teleports to where Osamu is, Replica figuring out they have a tracking beacon on Osamu. She thinks she’s won, but Replica’s Black Rabit appears. Mira thinks that this was intentional, since she can’t teleport the Rabit away without expending more Trion than she needs to.

But Mira then chops Replica in half with a warp blade, the chapter ending as Mira moves to finish off Osamu and we have about a minute and a half until the future crossroads.

Magi 242

The chapter starts as Judal teleports to Kou’s capital to see how things are going.

We see people discussing Hakuryuu’s legitimacy, but most of them accepting it, since the main two generals are now on Hakuryuu’s side. They tell Judal to stay at Hakuryu’s side, since he swore loyalty to him, not to the other Metal Vessel users of Kou.

Judal compliments Hakuryuu, saying that people are saying he should be the new emperor, but he’s also concerned, since the majority of the army is with Kouen. Hakuryuu says they’ve obtained a power that defeated Gyokuen, so he can also best Kouen.

The Al Thamen members swear their loyalty to Hakuryuu, Judal revealing that Hakuryuu has a second Metal Vessel that he’s utilizing to manipulate them to follow him. Judal thinks that most people don’t really truly trust him, but are following by coercion or manipulation, but he trusts in Hakuryuu to an extent as a potential King Vessel.

Hakuryuu flashes back to when he was asking him sister Hakuei to help him and her rejection. We then get a backstory of how Hakuryuu’s father subjugated the regions of Kou and with Hakuryuu’s two brothers’ aid, continued to establish the new empire.

But Gyokuen’s appearance led to the king’s assassination and Hakuyuu and Hakuren’s deaths as well. With Hakuryuu both young and near death for a while, his uncle took the throne and he could do nothing as he and his sister were relegated to relative obscurity. He swore to restore Kou to its original glory, without Al Thamen’s corruption.

After Hakuei gained a Metal Vessel, the Emperor recognized her and gave her an army. Hakuryuu sought this same power, eventually acquiring it with Alibaba, Aladdin and Morgiana’s help. But Hakuryuu is still divided as to whether he really should have sought out friends instead of power alone to eliminate Al Thamen from his country. Once he defeats both Gyokuen and Kouen, he thinks the people will bow to him as a unifier, like his father
.

The chapter ends as we see Hakuryuu asking Judal for the power he promised him before, to defeat Gyokuen, Kouen and regain the Kou Empire for his family’s honor.

Naruto 695

Naruto and Sasuke’s fight starts with Sasuke mostly having the advantage. Naruto counters by unleashing Kurama’s power and clashing with Sasuke’s Susanoo.

Their clash initiates a flashback to Naruto and Sasuke when they were younger, still rivals. Naruto sees that they were both alone as they grew up. But Sasuke tells Naruto in their last battle at the Valley of the End that Naruto doesn’t know what it’s like to lose people he loved.

We see that Naruto has learned with Jiraiya’s death, however.

Sasuke says Naruto should stop being defense, Naruto responding by telling Sasuke that he won’t kill him because Sasuke is his best friend. He says he won’t let Sasuke succeed in becoming alone, especially because they both knew how painful it was to be in that state.

The two clash with their strongest attacks and the chapter ends as they meet in their inner worlds together, Sasuke saying they’ve changed over the years and with that second clash, they have blended their minds in a way and can understand each other better.

One Piece 763

We see a flashback to Doflamingo and his family being virtually lynched by the people they treated like scum. Doflamingo awakens in the present and answers Buffalo’s call.

We see another flashback to Doflamingo’s father leaving the Celestial Dragons and outcast by the others. Doflamingo is still adjusting to not being treated with the respect and fear one gives a Celestial Dragon. His family runs away from people who attack them for their association with the other Tenryuubito.
They continue to move from place to place, Doflamingo feeling pain and hunger for the time, losing his mother and blaming his father for it all the while.

In the present, Doflamingo offers Law a place in his crew, seeing himself in Law. Corazon didn’t report Law’s attack, Buffalo bribed with ice cream, but Law still wonders why Corazon didn’t tell Doflamingo. Law says it’s pointless, since he’ll die in 3 years, but Doflamingo says they might find a Devil Fruit to cure him and he’ll be trained to be Doflamingo’s right hand.

Over the years Law advances in the group, trained by the executives in their specialties.

Law eventually reveals to Buffalo and Baby 5 he has the D initial in his name. Corazon then pulls Law away and tells him that he should stay away from Doflamingo, which is related to Law having the D initial.

Toriko 296

The group talks amongst themselves about what PAIR is, wondering if it can heal Komatsu.. Toriko confirms Komatsu’s still stable, Zebra, Sani and Coco all placing their own individual protections on him, and putting him in the head car, while the animal companions are in the backmost car to keep an eye out for danger.

As if on cue, giant sea urchins start to fall from the sky and endanger the group. But it turns out they’re not urchins. Zebra destroys them and Toriko finds out through the Denshark sneezing that they’re pollen from a flower. Coco realizes they’re near Area 7, the continent in sight, very forested and leafy.

We get an introduction, explaining that Area 7 is the 2nd biggest continent in Gourmet World, the size bigger than all land on Earth.

They make landfall, but encounter a group of high Capture Level monsters. The creatures leave, thanks to the restriction of predation by the apes that rule Area 7. The group moves on, noting how big everything is, like they’ve been shrunk. Their next location is Birth Cry Tree, the 3rd largest tree in the world, where they may find a hint to where PAIR is or PAIR itself, if they’re lucky.

The group then notes that there doesn’t seem to be a civilization here, unlike Area 8.

Something gets on the ship, a small monkey that has a monstrous gaping mouth. Zebra blasts it with Laser Voice, picking it up and saying that they shouldn’t get cocky, that he’s the rules.

The monkey lets out a screech as it smirks, Zebra killing it. The chapter ends as the others think that they’re in danger now of being attacked by that monkey’s friends.

Bleach 600

We start with a scene that makes it seem like Senjumaru’s dead, her corpse falling down.  Pernidas crumples it into a ball, throwing it to the side as Gerard comments on how weak Squad Zero seems to be.

X Axis then proceeds to attack and destroy part of the Soul Palace with a single shot.
Juhabach looks forward, the background turning into a fabric like appearance. Senjumaru appears, revealing that they just destroyed a fake rendering of the area they took down.

The true Soul Palace was hidden from view by Hachibei who speaks about the cage being prepared.
Hikifune appears after unleashing a cage made from a tree, an ingredient she developed. It responds to reishi and grows stronger with X Axis’s attacks, even blocking him shooting between the gaps, because it feeds on the reishi.

Nimaiya appears as the chapter ends on him saying this is where Zero Division truly starts to fight. I wonder where Tenjirou is. Is he actually still in the cage, ready to fight Juhabach’s group as well?

Fairy Tail 403

We resume where Kyouka attacked Erza, shattering her armor and sword barehanded. The timer starts to count down faster, Erza even more motivated to defeat the demon, but Kyouka reveals that her Curse is Strengthening, increasing her power each moment she uses it.

Kyouka reiterates that if Face is activated, she’ll die, but she also says she’s willing to die for Zeref’s sake. Erza can’t understand it, saying that it seems more like Kyouka gave up by consigning herself to death. Kyouka continues to power up, drowning out Erza with a scream of rage. She releases a bolt of power that strikes Erza and passes onto the others.

Kyouka explains that she strengthened Erza’s sense of pain, like she did a while ago, so that now even a wind will feel like anguish to Erza. Erza collapses, Kyouka tearing off most of her armor and slowly torturing her by removing each of her senses (not sure how this comes about from her Curse power, except that she might strengthen the sense too much?)

Kyouka relishes in the confidence that with the Face plan’s success, the human world will fall into despair. But she won’t kill Erza, but slowly turn her into a slave.

But Erza manages to stand up, somehow still feels pain as she tells Kyouka she is still led by the light of the path she and her friends walked and then uppercutting Kyouka.

The chapter ends as Erza tells Kyouka that physical pain is nothing compared to losing the will to fight
