Dr. Stone 62
Chrome’s group heads out, thinking
that this explosion will draw out Homura and, as long as Senkuu and the others
keep her occupied, they can get the cell phone to Tsukasa’s kingdom
Suika spots where Homura is moving,
Kohaku rushing to stop her. Homura narrowly dodges using gymnastics, indicating
that she’s from the past by her scarring (which only people revived from stone
have) and this knowledge.
Kohaku chases Homura towards the
village, their plan to surround her, since she’s so fast otherwise.
Senkuu throws a flashbulb he made
into the air, covering his own eyes with goggles as he unleashes the light,
letting him pin Homura to the ground in the distraction, though this means
Kohaku is out of commission for a bit
But she manages to escape, her
gymnast strength able to overwhelm Senkuu easily, managing to escape up to a
tree, where she lists off many of the villager’s names, having figured them out
through observation
When Homura realizes Gen, Chrome and
Magma aren’t there, she starts to piece things together as to where they are
and what they’re doing, chasing after the group
Senkuu and the others decide they
have to pursue as well, Senkuu revealing a lamp and also that he must’ve put
something on Homura in the struggle, her trail lit up by patches of light where
she’s stepped (possibly magnesium?) as the chapter ends on their chase of
Tsukasa’s agent
We Never Learn 66
It is indeed Mafuyu dancing with
Umihara and Kawase that shocked Rizu at the end of last chapter as we flashback
to an explanation of what happened
Yuiga thinks that this would be the
best solution, Uruka thinking it’ll be fine
But Kawase and Umihara wonder if
Mafuyu could even memorize the choreography before the show starts in a few
hours
Kirisu-sensei indeed manages to do
so by viewing the video, amazing the other students.
But since Uruka would have to go out
in a t shirt, Yuiga has another idea to help with that
The show is a hit, especially with fans
of Full Pure, recognizing that Uruka is in a costume inspired by a brand new
character, Full Pure Darkness. Yuiga, using spare black fabric from the haunted
house, threw it together from remembering the appearance when he saw the show
with his sister.
Uruka’s singing, surprisingly good,
manages to cover up that Mafuyu is just lip syncing, unwilling to sing herself;
while Mafuyu’s moves are amazing to students who just knew her as a teacher.
As the show concludes, Uruka, using
the audience’s excitement, convinces them to eat the udon that Rizu brought and
promote the class’s shop in the process
Afterwards, Yuiga thanks Mafuyu,
wondering if she made some memories, though she says it’s unnecessary. Uruka is
happy to have worn Yuiga’s handmade costume, which Kawase and Umihara tease her
about.
As Mafuyu leaves for her lecture,
Yuiga notices a stray thread, pulling it. This makes Mafuyu’s costume fall
apart, Uruka thinking it was an attempt to imitate the transformation
Yuiga is still wondering how to sell
more udon, Kashima from Fumino’s class approaching him and saying she could
help.
She takes him to the dressing room,
where he puts on a bizarre costume that doesn’t seem to match with him being a
prince that would kiss Furuhashi (though he just thinks he’s helping in another
way apart from performing).
As Yuiga leaves, the teachers that
were looking for Mafuyu’s costume find him, the outfit he has the one intended
for her instead.
Kashima is told about Yuiga
disappearing, the chapter ending as we see Fumino in costume waiting for the play
to begin as Kashima’s cronies go to find the prince.
Fire Force 130
When Joker asks what the notebook
is, Burns says it’s the diary of a high ranking official in the Church of the
Holy Sol, Raffles I’s wife
The rumored holy scriptures don’t
exist, Burns having investigated as well after the Adora Link incident
All he could find was this notebook,
explaining the founding of the Tokyo Empire and the Church of the Holy Sol from
the founder’s wife’s perspective.
Shinmon says this doesn’t seem to
reveal anything new, but looking closer, it reveals that Raffles I’s wife
observed that her husband behaved differently after he returned.
This reminds the 7th Brigade Captain
about one of the Preacher’s followers who could use heat to alter their
appearance and impersonate anyone, meaning that this could be the same
individual. Since Infernals can live indefinitely, this whole religion could
have been founded by the Preacher to keep people in line
The destruction of the caravan with
Raffles I and his behavior afterwards makes this theory add up, but very few
people know the truth, not even Raffles III
We shift to the Preacher’s group,
Inka, the newest recruit who can see the threads of flames and see the future
of such conflagrations, shocked at Jonah’s ability to make himself appear as
Raffles III. He says it was indeed the Preacher who told him to found the
Church of the Holy Sol 250 years ago, leading humans to Adora for whatever
plans they have
Back with Burns, Joker and Shinmon,
they conclude that their real target is the Preacher’s group, Burns saying
he’ll deal with the situation at the church, no real consequences coming from
it, since only one person died and they’re in the shadows anyway
The next step is to investigate Haijima
Industries, connected to the Preacher in some way with their construction of the
Amaterasu reactor.
Shinmon is concerned, since Konrou,
his superior, requires treatments for his Ash Sickness (happening when one overuses
3rd Generation powers), but Joker says that Haijima could refuse such things
after the reveal of their attack anyway
Burns says he can’t do anything with
Haijima, his connections lying with the Church
Back at Haijima, we see workers
talking about how their “dolls” aren’t giving good results, but one has
potential, awakened by one of the traitors from Burns’ division, Rekka, a while
ago in the story. A boy called Nataku Son is shown to be almost a zombie after
the bug that awakened him as a special Infernal was given to him, the chapter
ending on this reveal
Black Clover 161
Luck has transformed after his
revival from defeat, moving faster than Magna can see, stabbing him in the
stomach with an attack
But Vanessa’s String magic effect
from Rouge makes it so that Luck misses, the elf wondering who will last longer
in this battle
It seems that Luck has won, holding
up Magna by the throat as he mocks their weakness.
But Magna and Vanessa are still
willing to fight, saying that they won’t give up on trying to save Luck.
The elf thinks this is pathetic,
since he believes humans are innately traitorous to each other, saying that
Luck’s soul is disappearing and that their human bond is worthless
Magna counters that such a thing
doesn’t make sense with Luck crying, his soul still there.
The two insist that Luck is
fighting, but the elf moves to kill Magna
Rouge uses the last of its magic to
create a situation where Asta has managed to arrive, knocking away Luck’s
attack
The chapter ends as Asta reflects
the same sentiment as the other Black Bulls, that they are Luck’s friends,
ready to fight and free him
One Piece 908
Shirahoshi’s minor injuries are
healed by Mansherry, the two princess’ sizes a massive gap that makes it more
amusing for the others to see. Neptune thanks Mjosgard for helping them, the
World Noble promising that he will stay by Shirahoshi’s side to help the
Fishmen.
Vivi, approached by Pell, her
guardian, asks where her father went, the Falcon Zoan user saying that he went
to meet with King Riku and Fujitora, having been given a letter
Meanwhile, Charlos is approaching
the Celestial Dragon gate to enter their area, his father meeting up with him
as his servants explain what happened.
Rosward comments that all the Donquixote family are crazy, such as
Doflamingo’s father who left 30 years ago and Mjosgard, who doesn’t own a
single slave
The Queen Dowager of the Sorbet
Kingdom slips in as the two discuss things, Kuma, Rosward’s slave for the day,
revealed to have been a former king himself and seen as an ideal slave with his
situation as a cyborg, not feeling pain anymore.
But it turns out Jewelry Bonny was
the Queen Dowager, seemingly connected in some way to Kuma.
Sabo and 3 of the Revolutionary Army captains, minus Bello Betty, prepare to start their own mission, wanting to get revenge for Kuma, one of their allies, being turned into a cyborg by the World Government to serve as an example to the other rulers.
Reverie begins, the 50
representatives from the 170 countries in the World Government talking about
the situation with Luffy as well as Wano being a non-allied country, suggesting
that it could be a lawless area
The Five Elders (Gorousei in
Japanese) wonder about how the stability of the world can be maintained,
especially with the Nefeltari family, the only one of the 20 founding families
that didn’t become World Nobles, seen as traitors to the World Government
The chapter ends as we see the
person from the end of last chapter sit on the Empty Throne, the Gorousei
asking him, called Im-sama, if they know the name of the “Light” that must be
extinguished to keep the balance of the World Government’s power.
One Piece is on break next week
My Hero Academia 187
The chapter begins as we meet up
with and learn the names of some of Todoroki’s family, including his sister
that we saw before and one of his brothers, Fuyumi and Natsuo respectively. His
mother, Rei, is also there, the three of them talking about Shoto and how he’s
working hard at Yuuei.
But Natsuo brings up how Endeavor
has become #1 and the situation with his family. Fuyumi tries to stop him, but
Rei says it’s fine. Natsuo comments on how he doesn’t even feel any connection
with his father and he’s furious at how Endeavor hasn’t given any sort of
apology or attempt at reconciliation with his youngest son and his wife.
Rei says Endeavor’s trying to
change, though she still hasn’t met him face to face, even ten years later, her
trauma still too deep. Her husband brought a flower to her hospital room that
she said she liked once in the past
She says that Endeavor is probably
making an attempt to face the bad things he’s done as we shift to his fight
Endeavor, still floating in the air
with his flames, observes how the Noumu, High End, regenerates from the damage
he did. He remembers the reports, only the black Noumu having these kinds of
special abilities
But as the Hellflame Hero tries to
bind the Noumu, since it can talk, wanting to ask it questions, High End grabs
and pushes him through the building, much faster and stronger with its
abilities, such as stretching its limbs.
Hawks manages to save the people as
the top of the building starts to collapse with the damage from High End and
Endeavor fighting, his Quirk, Mighty Wings, letting him manipulate his
feathers, super dense and numerous.
The chapter ends as Endeavor has
made another attempt to bind High End, surrounding him with flames as Hawks
asks if this is his final move, which the #1 Hero says is absurd to even ask.
Seven Deadly Sins 271
Meliodas and Ban wonder if Wild is talking about
Hawk, though the Purgatory pig says that his brother’s name was Mild, but he
was lost after he was born, so he could’ve forgotten his own name
He inquires if the two have met someone like him,
Meliodas confirming as much, which makes Wild cry with joy
The group goes to his hut, shaped like himself and
furnished with lots of things, Wild offering a gross tea made from warts of a
monster from Purgatory
Wild explains that Hawk was taken away by the Demon
King millions of years ago, the amount of time only making sense because of the
discrepancy between the flow of time in each world.
Meliodas thinks that Hawk was chosen because he had
a connection to Purgatory, letting the Demon King be able to keep an eye on him
Before that, there were animals in the real world,
like Waddle the parrot we saw in flashbacks, but they didn’t last long, so
using a Purgatory beast was the best choice
This makes Meliodas recall how tough Hawk is, even
taking an attack from the demonified Hendricksen before and surviving.
Meliodas and Ban tell Wild more about his estranged
brother, which makes him excited, though him being so different does shock him
for a bit.
In the end, Wild says it doesn’t matter, because
Hawk is his precious little brother, Meliodas happy to hear that.
Wild was so determined to find Hawk that he fought
the Demon King, never able to win in over 12K battles
Ban brings up that Meliodas has a little brother as
well (technically 2), Zeldris, not wanting to pry into his friend’s past, but
observing that Meliodas had a strange expression when he heard about Wild’s
love for his own brother.
Meliodas says that the story isn’t that interesting,
but he’ll tell it anyway
He was considered the next Demon King, Commander of
the Ten Commandments and Zeldris, revealed to be the youngest brother, not
Estarossa, idolized his brother even more than the middle brother.
Meliodas didn’t understand why Zeldris admired him
so much until he met Elizabeth, finally understanding the feeling of having
someone to protect and that considered you precious as well
Zeldris had someone precious to him as well,
Meliodas learning from that experience.
But as opposed to Zeldris, who was cold-hearted in
his pursuit of war, Meliodas sought to end the war, but his betrayal with
Elizabeth was part of what caused the Holy War 3000 years ago
When he betrayed the Demon Clan, Meliodas inspired
the Vampire Clan, who hated being under the Demon Clan’s power, to rebel
Zeldris was told by his father to kill his beloved,
Gelda, along with the rest of the Vampire Clan, divided between his feelings of
love and loyalty. He instead sealed her away as a compromise, though they were
released about 13 years before the present time, defeated by the Seven Deadly
Sins
Meliodas regrets not being able to help his brother,
saving the story of Estarossa for another time
But as he tries to remember his other brother, he
can’t recall, the Demon King saying that such things are unnecessary for his
son, the chapter ending as he appears before the group
