Disclaimer: Scanlations and official sources both have a place in the community, but buy official manga volumes to support the author. If you can, also subscribe to Crunchyroll and/or Shonen Jump through Viz Media to read chapters nearly simultaneous with Japan. Most of the series covered can be found through legal means, so please encourage the industry that gives us what we love

New series by Ishida Sui of Tokyo Ghoul fame (which I mistakenly thought was in a shounen magazine in the past, actually Young Jump, seinen demographic). Choujin X has a world where the bizarre entities terrorize the world and our lead, Tokio, along with friend Azuma (who’s much more popular) are forced by circumstances to transform themselves into the very thing they fear to protect themselves.

World Trigger 207

We see all the squads arrive and get prepared for the provisional A rank exam, learning the rules and what is expected of them and how each squad is handling things in a different way that factors in individual skills and dynamics within the lineup they had to choose via a sort of rigged lottery.

4 Knights of the Apocalypse 13-17

Ordo is freed from the magic of a Chaos Staff after Sin finds and breaks it, Dolores okay in spite of the poison breath because she was trained in the use of Giant magic, including Heavy Metal (confirming she’s very likely the same Dolores from Seven Deadly Sins’ Diane gaiden chapter). Nasiens, grateful to Percival, goes along with them, Sin having won the competition for hunting (his command left unknown for now)

A girl in the town of Sistana appears to be able to tell when someone is lying and Ironside reveals that the knights are searching for a piece of the Coffin of Eternal Darkness. Meanwhile, Percival’s group is also heading that way, the knife he had on him revealed as a magic sword, able to change from a knife to a sword with a word, his helmet and cape also noted to be magical previously. They arrive in Sistana and discover the relief, part of the item that sealed the Demon Clan, and the girl that buried it approaching them, saying they need to leave

The girl, Anghalhad, has Percival’s group hide the piece of the Coffin of Eternal Darkness. We learn of her aspirations to be a Holy Knight, but that her father believes Ironside’s advice. And the Holy Knight reveals the rest of the Coffin of Eternal Darkness, Sin warning that if it’s completed, terrible things will happen

As Ironside explains the relic’s power (lying about the ritual that will protect Sistana), Anne approaches him, though he moves to “discipline” her, Percival stepping in. They escape, but Ironside’s familiar, disguised as Anne’s maid, takes the piece from the inn, giving it back to the Holy Knight. Sin explains they need to either destroy the Coffin of Eternal Darkness or take one of the pieces before Ironside activates it with a blood sacrifice, Anne joining the group to stop the impending calamity

Candy Flurry 3-6

Having convinced Midori of the Recette that she isn’t the one who destroyed Tokyo 5 years ago, Tsumugi explains that she wants to join the organization. But it turns out that another agent at the school, Irie Toka, is not only on the case to find the Lollipop User, but is also a Sweets User herself, manifesting Ice Cream.

Irie takes Midori and Tsumugi to the outskirts of Tokyo where she used to live. She recounts how she was happy there, but then they all perished in the attack 5 years ago. And with Tsumugi as the likely candidate, Irie attacks her and Midori, but Tsumugi defends them with her powers

The two Sweet Users clash, Midori getting caught in the middle as Irie plans to take down Tsumugi. But both Tsumugi’s kindness of saying Midori isn’t involved and her weakness against a superior opponent make Irie conclude Tsumugi cannot be the Lollipop user that devastated Tokyo and offers her a chance to enter Recette instead

The day of the exam, Tsumugi is initially confident when a seemingly bland looking guy is the proctor, but he curtly dismisses the director’s son who came in late. And thankfully, he agrees to let him take the exam if Umino and his partner take a penalty, Tsumugi roped into this. As the exam begins, where pairs try to capture each other to advance, we learn the penalty is that whoever captures Tsumugi’s team doesn’t have to take the next portion

Dr. Stone 195-198

Suika manages to get everyone’s statues, even finding Luna and Chelsea, but, in spite of not finding any revival fluid, she seems oddly calm. Remembering the map Chelsea had, Suika then checks the paper she found on Senkuu, which actually maps out how to make the revival fluid, Suika getting new vigor to continue on.

The experiments take a while, especially since Suika uses the longest method to create nitric acid, but it eventually succeeds after 4 years, Senkuu revived first by the now 18 year old Suika, having kept track of the time since everyone was petrified, about 7 years total

The others are revived with Senkuu’s help and during the celebration, Tsukasa tells Senkuu that Hyouga was truly dead, meaning Medusa can bring back even the deceased, which entails that with the Medusa, humanity has immortality in the palm of their hands

Chrome learns about the immortality implied with the Medusa and Xeno is revived with the promise that he’ll assist them in getting to the moon and talk to Why-Man about his plans, since there isn’t any broadcast since the command initiated the petrification 7 years ago. The road map for the rocket is set up and the journey continues.

My Hero Academia 311-314

Endeavor and the other Heroes are dealing with the public’s distrust of them, thinking that they need to potentially expand their search for All For One before he perfects Shigaraki. Meanwhile, Deku is confronted by one of the Tartarus escapees, who has Overhaul in tow with her while she snipes at Deku.

Lady Nagant, a former Hero that killed another Hero in the past, has been tasked by All For One to capture Deku, her Quirk able to convert her hair into various bullets she can fire from her arm that can convert to a rifle, sniping from 3km away. Deku manages to avoid or block the blows, but we learn Nagant was given the Air Walk Quirk by All For One to sweeten the deal.

Deku, in dealing with Nagant’s added mobility along with her sniping, decides to use the 3rd’s Fa Jin Quirk that appears to be based on Chinese martial arts that have explosive power with qi, though we don’t see it as Deku manages to get the jump on Nagant as the chapter ends

We learn about Nagant’s past, working as an assassin for the Safety Commission so that Heroes can otherwise maintain a non vigilante appearance for society at large. But she became jaded and cynical to this, even killing the Safety Commission’s president, which was covered up.  All For One’s plan seems far better in her eyes, at least in being transparent about people’s motivations. Deku manages to find her location as she snipes, but Nagant turns her attention to Chisaki as a new target to occupy Deku’s attention

Fire Force 264-267

We learn of Dragon’s despair, seemingly an ancient being from the times of Babylonia that was so powerful he caused destruction anywhere he was. Faerie approached him some time after the first Cataclysm, offering him purpose in his power and not mere despair. In the present, Dragon and Arthur continue to clash, Dragon only showing more and more of his power as it seems Arthur gets an advantage briefly before it disappears.

The sheer toughness of Dragon doesn’t intimidate Arthur, who unleashes even more power with lightning to empower the strikes, Dragon recognizing the strength when he actually bleeds.

But Dragon continues to grow even stronger, his form changing to become encased in armor and pushing Arthur further, seemingly taking the battle into space

Arthur and Dragon land on the moon and it seems like Arthur collapses, unable to fight with the lack of oxygen in space’s vacuum. However, with the Star Ring that Vulcan gave him, somehow Arthur is able to breathe and recovers, ready to fight Dragon

One Piece 1012-1014

Sanji takes Zoro while Law and Zeus head off to Big Mom’s location, the Akazaya Nine splitting up to deal with various threats as well. While Big Mom and Ulti are about to clash, Tama and Komachiyo are hurt, spurning Nami to attack the Tobi Roppo her with Clima Tact

Big Mom combines Hera, Promtheus and Napoleon to blast a hole in Ulti before she attacks Nami, but Hera is told to eat Zeus for his failures. And even though Nami tries to help him (seemingly divided between forgiving him and letting him suffer for his cowardice), he’s consumed. Kidd comes in to fight Big Mom before she attacks Nami’s group, while we see Luffy has been beaten by Kaidou in spite of his growth, the Yonkou showing him “mercy” by not decapitating the Straw Hat

It seems Luffy is indeed sinking into the ocean, Kaidou announcing this to the whole of Onigashima. Momonosuke and Shinobu are saved by Kinemon and Okiku, who defeat Kanjuro finally as he tries to manipulate their emotions as Oden. Kaidou bursts in, Kinemon holding him off as Shinobu and Momonosuke flee, Okiku wounded by Kanjuro

Black Clover 292-294

We learn how Zora and Magna combined efforts to investigate magic methods that worked for them with low mana and that Magna’s technique is similar to Zora’s in being able to make the runes, but taking more time to prepare complex effects like the one he’s used on Dante. Their punch out continues, unclear who will win, but Magna’s dedication burns like his flame magic.

Magna manages to defeat Dante, both of their magics tapped out through the spell and Dante not used to fighting without his powerful abilities

Dante recovers after Asta, Luck, Magna and Nacht leave to help support the others, bu Jack seemingly will handle him. Charlotte and Rill are fighting Vanica, who’s also gained the support of a mind controlled Loropechika. It seems like they’re going to lose, however Noelle and Gaja arrive to aid.
