Magi chapter seems to be delayed
again or Shinobu Ohtaka could be taking a break, I’m not certain
Dr. Stone 12
We see that Tsukasa narrowly
avoided the explosion, his top burned off. When he kicked the pot, realizing
it was black powder was the moment he retreated, only affected by the outer
part of the blast
Tsukasa wonders if the whole point
of the explosion wasn’t to kill him, but to occupy his attention while they ran,
since he knows Taiju wouldn’t directly attack people.
It was the case, Taiju, Senkuu’s body
in tow, along with Yuzuriha, fleeing the scene.
Taiju thinks Senkuu wouldn’t die,
attempting chest compressions, Yuzuriha stopping him before he tries artificial
respirations.
She explains that Senkuu sacrificed
himself for her sake, Taiju remembering something from his past.
A student is doing a psychological
test, asking if there was a disaster, would you save yourself, your friends or
your lover, only one choice allowed. Yuzuriha is divided between friends and
lover, Taiju thinking it’s a terrible quiz.
Senkuu comments that he’d try to
save everyone, even if it was tougher
Taiju notes that Senkuu wouldn’t
just make a sacrifice like this, he’d try to save them all.
Yuzuriha observed that Senkuu
gestured towards his neck when he was telling Tsukasa to kill him quickly
Taiju looks, seeing a fragment of
stone still there, apparently protecting him from the brunt of the attack. They
put the revival formula on the spot, Senkuu reviving.
The chapter ends as we see Senkuu’s
revival, the next chapter starting a flashback to explaining what Senkuu did
after he was revived
We Can’t Study 15
The next day in the evening, we find
that Rizu and Yuiga were punished lightly for staying after hours, made to
clean the bath.
Yuiga’s feeling awkward after the
kiss, though Rizu seemed to be fairly calm about the whole thing, but she went
the wrong way to the dorm.
He starts to take off his shirt,
since the bath steam makes it hot to work, but he and Rizu hear a group of
girls, including Fumino and Uruka, coming to take a bath, since Rizu didn’t put
the sign that said they were cleaning at the door, but around her neck. Yuiga’s
worried that if he gets caught, he might lose his recommendation, but Rizu
quips that he has bigger problems, feeling sorry that she was so blunt
afterwards.
She volunteers to solve the problem,
Yuiga hiding in the sauna
But Rizu only tries to warn the
girls about the sauna being hot, Uruka getting Rizu naked and encouraging her
to go with them.
Uruka and Fumino decide to go into
the sauna, Rizu trying to stop them, but failing.
Rizu gets in with them, Yuiga having
hidden under a bench.
Uruka eventually leaves, Fumino
thinking she can endure another 10 minutes as Rizu tries to convince her
otherwise, Yuiga in danger of dying from heat exhaustion eventually.
Fumino’s foot bumps into Yuiga and
she almost notices, before Sawako barges in, saying that they can see a meteor
shower from the baths outside, Fumino excitedly rushing out with Rizu in tow.
Sawako says she had figured out
Yuiga was there after finding his jersey among Rizu’s things after noticing how
weird she was acting.
Yuiga rushes out, but runs into
Uruka, who was getting a drink to cool down.
She rushes past him, thankfully just
thinking she was hallucinating and Yuiga getting back to the boy’s dorms
Rizu calls him over briefly to
apologize, Yuiga thankful nothing bad happened. She even talks about their
kiss, saying it was just accidental physical contact, not a real kiss, which
Yuiga agrees with.
The chapter ends as she asks if he
saw anything in the bath, Yuiga trying to say his glasses were fogged over so
he didn’t really see anything, Rizu still skeptical.
Black Clover 111
Meleoleona explains that the Ultim
Volcano stops erupting when night falls, so this is the time when they can use
the hot springs. The training was meant to be a motivator to get to the top,
since that’s when it would stop spewing lava.
Asta is amazed at the hot spring,
comparing it to a giant bath. But he wonders about what they’ll do with the
female members, if they’ll bathe with them at the same time. Sol creates a wall
to separate males and females with her Earth Magic.
The females all enter, Sol enamored with Charlotte as usual, while Meleoleona drinks sake, offering some to Charlotte, who politely refuses. Meleoleona pushes the issue, wondering if Charlotte’s refusing her sake, Charlotte accepting the drink.
Sol is washing Noelle, complimenting
her for being so tough, thinking she should join the Blue Rose squad and leave
the Black Bulls
She explains that the males in the
Blue Rose are mostly lackeys, Noelle liking the idea. Yuno was even considered
to be recruited into the Blue Rose at one point.
Charlotte remembers that Yami is in
the other side, naked, as she faints, falling unconscious in the bath as Sol
pulls her out.
Meanwhile, Meleoleona comments that
Noelle is looking more and more like her mother, Noelle asking what she was
like. The Crimson Lions’ captain says Noelle’s mother, Ashie, was strong enough
to challenge her, and it wasn’t even because of the elemental advantage, but
her sheer agility in battle, as if she was dancing.
Noelle is seen as the polar opposite
with how bad her magic control is, but Meleoleona thinks she can still surpass
her mother with her own power.
Leopold is challenging Yuno to an
endurance match, heating up the water with his magic as Yuno cools himself off
with wind magic. Asta wants to join in as well, but Yami stops everyone,
suggesting they peep at the women’s bath
Yuno says he’s not interested, but
Yami thinks he’s just trying to play it cool. Asta notes that his rival only
took baths with men, Leopold wondering if that’s why Fuegoleon was also such a calm
person.
Yami wonders why Leopold would even
be thinking about his brother, trying to surpass him. Leopold then agrees to
peep, but Asta insists that he won’t because he’s devoted himself to Sister
Lily, the chapter ending as the arc concludes.
Boku no Hero Academia 139
The force pushes through the yakuza
thugs holding them off for Chisaki’s escape.
Fatgum and others comment that this
kind of loyalty is mimicking the kind of authority that yakuza had with
exchanging sake, but Kirishima regards it as little more than shifting the
responsibility to the subordinates and running away like a coward.
Nighteye finds the area where a secret
passage can be opened, Centipeder and Bubble Girl using their Quirks to hold
off the villains that burst out of the door
The rest of the group finds a wall,
Mirio phasing through with his costume able to phase with him since it’s lined
with fibers made from his hair. He sees the rest of the passageway, confirming
the wall is just a way to occupy their time, especially thick.
Deku and Kirishima smash through the
wall, but find that something is warping the space, Fatgum saying it’s like the
Quirk of the chief of headquarters, Irinaka, called Mimicry, but that he must
have boosted the power with Trigger, since he couldn’t do something of this
scale normally.
We see that it’s one of the two
people that were with Chisaki when he talked with Shigaraki, the smaller one
who could change his shape
Suneater starts to panic with the
situation making it so they can’t think on the fly to find a way to counter
this, unable to even save Eri, let alone themselves.
Mirio stops that thinking, saying
they can still get ahead if he phases in the right direction through Irinaka’s Quirk
warped body that’s creating the labyrinth before them.
Suneater thinks he has to do
something with Mirio making such an effort.
Mirio is ignored by the yakuza,
saying he can’t do anything by himself even if he gets there.
The rest of the group is pushed down
a floor, where they meet 3 of the other Cleansing Salvo members we saw at the end
of last chapter.
Suneater tells the others that they
can go ahead, because he’ll be the only one that fights these three, knowing
that they’re just trying to stall them.
The chapter ends as this fight will
be the centerpiece of the next chapter, no doubt.
One Piece 866
We see Big Mom, a giant size for a
child, abandoned by her parents on Elbaf because she was considered too
dangerous and destructive at only 5 years old (Oda confirmed in an SBS that Big
Mom is 68 at present, meaning in this flashback 63 years ago, she would be 5).
There is a legend that when Dory and
Brogy, the captains of the Giant Warrior Pirates, disappeared, their crewmates
were captured by the Marines. But before they were executed, Sister Carmel, a
wandering nun, appeared and demanded a peaceful end to things
She said that heaven demanded such a
thing, seemingly parting the clouds, either by coincidence or by a Devil Fruit
power, saying that the giants must be spared or their comrades will form an
army to exact their revenge on humans.
Afterwards, Carmel opened up an
orphanage called the Sheep’s House, taking in any child of any race who had
lost their place, wanting to make a world like Big Mom sought, where all races
can be equal.
37 years later, Mother Carmel, 80
years old, came to Elbaf with the other children and welcomed Linlin (Big Mom’s
first name)
Linlin was amazed at the Giant
village, seemingly never having seen it before, since everything was
proportional to her size.
But she had her own issues,
seemingly able to kill a bear with a single punch after punishing him for
eating a wolf when Big Mom was trying to help them resolve their differences
Other problems came up, not
understanding that the different races had features she shouldn’t try to
remove, like a Long Arm Tribe’s extra joint or a Fishfolk’s fin.
Mother Carmel forgave all this,
focusing on Big Mom being a kind person.
Later, we learn that there will be a
12 day fasting period for the Winter Solstice festival in the giant villages.
We also see Hajrudin as a child, training to be a member of the Giant Warrior
Pirates when Dory or Brogy returns from their longstanding duel.
Yaruru and Yoruru, the two former captains
of the Giant Warrior Pirates, arrive, saying that in spite of Carmel’s calls
for peace, the Giants cannot forget their heritage as great fighters.
Big Mom is told that they’ll be
eating semla, a sweet kind of bread from Scandinavian countries, before fasting,
but she has such an appetite she eats more than they expected.
As the fasting continues, Big Mom is
told by Carmel that the winter solstice is meant to show reverence to the sun’s
rebirth from winter.
But on the 7th day, Big Mom is
overcome by her desire for semla, destroying the village.
Yoruru regards her as nothing more
than an evil spirit now, moving to kill her as Carmel demands he stop, the chapter
ending on this threat.
Kind of get a feeling this will be
similar to other One Piece flashbacks where someone makes a sacrifice for the sake
of someone else (Jaguar D. Saul, Bellemere, Hiruluk, Tom, Zeff, and Brook’s
crew, for instance).
Seven Deadly Sins 218
Diane recognizes that Lost World was
the technique Gowther used on her, thinking he must be remembering something if
he wanted to erase his memories. Gowther insists that he has no heart and no
need to remember such things.
The Sin of Lust tries to attack with
his arrows of light from Herrit, his Sacred Treasure, but Diane dodges, Gowther
noting that her power level is increasing as she dances and avoids the attacks.
Even Meliodas and Ban recognize this power up, Gowther observing that Diane’s
power level is now at 15100. Diane says she can continue to increase her
strength if need be, but she doesn’t want to fight her friend.
Gowther tries to flee, saying he has
a better chance of escaping than winning against her, trying to get to a
crowded area to make it even more likely.
But King intercepts him, his power
level recorded at 41600. Gowther tries to retreat again, Veronica appearing
behind him which makes him try and take her hostage. But her resemblance to
Nadja from Gowther’s past and suffering makes him hesitate again
Diane holds Gowther’s arms down
before he can utilize Lost World again as Veronica retreats. Gowther still
wants to eliminate the “noise” in his head, hinting that he had done it in the
past when said he must do it again.
He screams out in agony as he
remembers Nadja dying, Diane struggling to hold him down as Merlin appears.
She explains that whenever Gowther
remembers his past, his body tries to reject it, the magical heart also part of
the cause, likely a stabilizer.
Gowther still resists, saying he
doesn’t need memories, since they’re so painful, but Diane tells him that in
spite of such things, he should remember the good times he’s had with the Seven
Deadly Sins and accept the painful memories along with the happy ones
The happy memories Gowther had with
Nadja flow into his mind as Merlin explains that the heart itself seemed to be
more a placebo, Heart Magic and such not a thing that exists.
Therefore, Gowther’s heart was
innate to him, something he had to develop. Gowther accepts this, his magic
power surging, likely because of his memories returning to him according to
Merlin.
Merlin comments that Gowther having
a heart isn’t that strange with being the greatest creation of Gowther the
Demon, a master magician.
Gowther thanks Diane for helping him
remember the things important to him, especially the friends that he created
good memories with to counter the bad ones
The rest of the Seven Deadly Sins
come together, ready to celebrate the rising power of their members and being
reunited after 10 years as the chapter ends.
Next time we’re getting 28 pages and
a color page to boot
Fairy Tail 536
We’re told that Fairy Tail will be ending in 10
chapters, meaning we’ll see the end of the series roughly in summer.
Natsu and Zeref’s clash is destroying the guild,
Zeref shocked that his magic is being burned, Natsu’s very soul seemingly on
fire.
Meanwhile, Erza is moving to save Jellal from
Acnologia, but Anna moves Christina, barely functioning, out of the water, planning
to crash it into Acnologia and send them all into the Ravines of Time.
But only Blue Pegasus members can pilot Christina,
Ichiya volunteering to help Anna.
They crash the ship into Acnologia, freeing Jellal,
as Ichiya tells them to survive and protect those close to them as they push
the Apocalypse Dragon into the Ravines of Time, all three of them disappearing.
Zeref is still unable to comprehend how strong
Natsu’s flames are, wild emotion allowing him to punch the Dark Mage back,
Mavis awakening as Zeref lies on the ground in shock.
Blue Pegasus’ survivors, along with Erza, Jellal and
Wendy, mourn the loss of their friends
Zeref is still on the ground, confused as to why he
can’t move, but thinks he still won’t die.
Natsu leaves things to Mavis, bidding farewell to
Zeref as Mavis moves to finish things with Zeref with the chapter’s end.
