Two week post because Golden Week in
Japan. Seven Deadly Sins and Fairy Tail had chapters when Shounen Jump was on
break, so we may have double chapters or the like because of that dissonance. The
schedule should still line up within the next week, though.
Dr. Stone 9
While they set the signal fire, Senkuu
and the others try to get more materials to make gunpowder, the risky nature of
the signal fire still worth it to potentially find another survivor in the
Stone World.
We even see that Tsukasa has deduced
that the 4th use of the seashells was to make the saltpeter component of
gunpowder, in combination with the nitric acid in the cave, meaning that Senkuu
had already predicted that he and Tsukasa would be fighting in the future.
Tsukasa takes Yuzuriha hostage as
she’s finding materials to burn for charcoal, bringing her to where Senkuu is.
Senkuu notes that Tsukasa feels
threatened by the possibility of bringing forth something that would challenge
his position as the strongest in Stone World.
Tsukasa doesn’t care if Senkuu
characterizes it like that, more concerned about the use of gunpowder as
something to wage wars and bring back a corrupt world that he hates. Therefore,
he’s willing to do anything to prevent such a thing from happening.
He demands Senkuu tell him the
revival formula, but Senkuu tries to bluff, saying that Tsukasa can’t sway him
by threatening Yuzuriha.
But Tsukasa then slices Yuzuriha’s
hair much shorter, showing his skill with the blade. He says Senkuu must’ve
intentionally chose not to bury Yuzuriha’s petrified form to keep her safe,
since that would’ve been the most logical way, instead going with Taiju’s
request.
Tsukasa claims that Senkuu’s
vulnerability is that he values Taiju and Yuzuriha, but Tsukasa has no such
person that he cares about, which makes this his victory.
Yuzuriha moves the blade to her
neck, saying that it’s fine if she dies, but Senkuu can’t give up his life or
tell Tsukasa the revival formula.
But Senkuu relents, telling Tsukasa
the precise method, after which Tsukasa thinks he doesn’t need to keep Senkuu
alive anymore, pushing Yuzuriha away.
Taiju, elsewhere, sees that there
were 3 signal fires set off in response to their 3 gunpowder blasts, confirming
that there is a human here, the scene shifting to what appears to be a woman
who set off the signal fires.
Tsukasa asks Senkuu if he’s willing
to stop his advancement of civilization for his safety, Senkuu thinking such a
promise would have no worth. But Tsukasa trusts Senkuu, saying that if he does
so, he won’t kill him.
Yuzuriha cries out for Taiju, who
barely hears her, rushing to where they are as the chapter ends
We Can’t Study 12
Ogata is approached by Sawako
Sekijou, the president of the chemistry club and her rival in math and
sciences. She’s in disbelief that her opponent in the sciences has decided to
seek the humanities for university and thinks that Yuiga is the root cause of
it, having researched them being together over the last few weeks.
She insists that Rizu must be in
love with Nariyuki, but Rizu says she’s overthinking things, insisting that
Yuiga is just her teacher, heading home to have a session with him again.
Sawako follows Rizu to her family’s
udon shop, acting as if she just happened to be there instead of clearly
tailing Ogata. She then asks Yuiga directly about what kind of girl he likes to
try and provoke Rizu’s curiosity, failing utterly as Nariyuki says he wants a
girl who’s tough and can endure through hard times.
Sawako continues to pry, asking
other questions, Yuiga answering in the same vein, speaking to his personal
experiences with being poor.
Yuiga wonders if Sawako’s hitting on
him with all these questions, but thinks that’s silly until Sawako gets into
his personal space.
The two continue to act ridiculous,
Rizu kicking them out, since they’re bothering her studies.
Yuiga confirms he’s not in any kind
of romantic relationship with Rizu to Sawako. He then wonders why Sawako would
be this interested in Rizu’s choice of going to humanities, thinking she might
just want to be Rizu’s friend.
Sawako vehemently dismisses his
speculations, insisting that she just wants to continue the rivalry, which
can’t be done if Ogata goes to a humanities college.
Rizu shows her test to Yuiga, who
observes that she’s steadily improved, even getting better at answering the
questions based on human emotions that usually trip her up.
Sawako thinks it’s a bit silly to be
so happy about that, but is impressed that Rizu is working this hard to improve
herself relative to the weak subjects.
Yuiga, in his happiness, pets
Rizu’s head, which makes her flustered at the attention.
Sawako notes that Rizu eventually
started writing out Pi numbers in her nervousness at another girl getting close
to Yuiga when she was studying before, concluding that Rizu might actually have
feelings and not realize it.
Yuiga explains some of his and
Rizu’s study schedule and location, offering Sawako an opportunity to study
with them.
She leaves the two of them, thinking
that Rizu being in love with her tutor could be a problem in itself as the
chapter ends.
Black Clover 108
We find out that the woman yelling
at the Crimson Lions is Fuegoleon and Leopold’s older sister (makes sense with
how similar her facial features are). She’s furious that they fell this low and
insults her brother for leaving such an incompetent group of knights behind.
Leopold defends his brother, saying
he’s the best example of a Magic Knight and showed them those ideals. His
sister punches him again, saying they need to prove it with action and show
that Fuegoleon didn’t just mentor weaklings.
The Crimson Lion captain then
says they’ll be doing a hot springs training camp, Asta and Yuno confused about
what a hot spring is or why they’d be training there.
As they try to leave, she catches
both of them, saying they’ll go along with the training, Leopold excited to
train with his rival and Yuno shocked that he’s been dragged into this.
We find out the name of the new
Crimson Lion’s captain, Meleoleona Vermillion, someone who, in spite of not
having any real interest in the government or the wars, is considered as
powerful, if not moreso than even her brother was.
Meanwhile, Yami meets up with the
other captains, gloating about how he’s in 2nd place after so long, Jack the
Ripper especially irritated. The rest leave Yami behind as Meleoleona appears
with Yuno and Asta in tow.
She ropes Yami, Charlotte and even
Noelle into the training camp as well, Noelle just happening to have come to
chide Asta.
The chapter ends as we see the area
they’ll be doing their “hot spring” training in, the Gouma Area, massive
volcanoes everywhere.
Boku no Hero Academia 136
The Heroes are worried that they’re
still in the dark about Eri’s location, thinking Chisaki might have not kept
her at headquarters because of her association with Deku and Mirio recently.
Nighteye explains that they’ve
managed to pinpoint some locations of the groups connected with the Eight
Precepts of Death across Japan. The minor Heroes there note that they’ve been
grouped based on each Hero agency’s familiarity with the area.
Fatgum is furious, thinking they’re
being too cautious, but Nighteye says that they can’t be like All Might; that
they have to assess the situation and be as certain as possible that they can
save Eri.
Gran Torino agrees, saying that they
can’t go in half cocked, because they could suffer the similar problems that
happened with arresting Stain, just giving more visibility to the Villain
Alliance. But Fatgum still thinks they’re over-thinking the situation
Aizawa stops the fighting by asking
if Nighteye could see their futures with his Foresight ability.
Nighteye qualifies that he can’t do
it for everyone, because he has to wait 24 hours between each individual, which
only gives him an hour of precognition, plus it’s limited to a small area
related to that person, not every facet that could be considered.
In particular, if someone dies, then
there’s seemingly little he can do to stop it, the other Heroes’ protests
stopped by Nighteye saying he can’t account for every variable and won’t
recklessly predict the future.
Nighteye moves on from this to give
information for each Hero to search out for Eri’s location and get an idea of
what they’re dealing with.
Deku and the other students are
sitting by themselves, just processing the whole situation.
Aizawa comes in, saying he came to
the meeting with the plan of advising Deku and the others to cancel their
internships.
With the Villain Alliance possibly
being involved, the danger is much higher and Aizawa still hasn’t gotten Deku’s
trust back after his fight with Bakugou. He tells Deku that he’ll be keeping a
close eye on him as a problem child, hoping he won’t be so reckless like he was
in the past.
Mirio is encouraged by Hadou and
Amajiki, saying that sulking like this won’t solve anything.
Aizawa tells Deku that he shouldn’t
think that Eri regards his meddling as entirely a problem, Deku’s confidence
restored as he and the others ready themselves.
Nighteye is talking with Gran
Torino, who’s told him that he used Deku as a means to try and reconcile
Nighteye to All Might through his successor. All Might’s former sidekick admits
that Deku is similar in how reckless he can be in his pursuit of being a Hero.
We shift to Eri, who’s being watched
over by another of Chisaki’s subordinates, told to make her feel comfortable.
The chapter ends as Eri thinks that
Deku’s hand was something she had never experienced before, such a gentle
touch, such kindness, Deku resolving himself to save Eri as well.
Magi 345-346
Alibaba’s still trying to figure out
if he can be revived, the others having long forgotten what it was like to even
want such a thing.
He asks if they can still use magic,
but they say there’s no Rukh here, everything essentially an illusion. But the
rocks they’re stacking came from the dimensional hole that appeared when David
left, so they have Rukh in them, from the other world
.
Tess, the young girl who’s the
daughter of Falan and Wahid of Alma Torran, asks Alibaba what he’d want to do
if he was revived, Alibaba saying he has so many things he left undone, including
his relationship with Morgiana.
The people from Alma Torran are
unfamiliar with the white rukh and all, but they’re surprisingly motivated at
the idea of some kind of revival magic, everyone pooling their efforts
together.
Tess talks to Alibaba, remembering
his own mother and how he wanted to meet her.
Everyone, with their combined work,
has managed to not only make the magic ritual circles, but even construct a
body for Alibaba out of the rocks.
As they’re readying things, Setta,
Ithnan’s brother, says he can only use this magic once with his spiritual body,
so Alibaba can’t utilize it again once he’s alive. And Wahid warns him that
it’ll be like he’s feeling hundreds of years pass as he learns to use his new
body, wondering if he can stand the tedium.
Before he leaves, Alibaba asks them
about why people who die have to be separated into black or white rukh, wanting
to bring them all together, which makes the Alma Torran people remember how
they wanted to meet their loved ones.
The chapter ends as Alibaba goes
into his new body with the resolve that he will live by his own will even if no
one else has it, yet he still desires to aid others, unselfish in that respect.
Aladdin and Arba wonder about how
David got out of Ill Illah, but ultimately failed in getting what he desired,
subordinated to Sinbad, same as Ugo and the Seven Djinn.
Arba notes how in her pursuit to
bring back Ill Illah, she ultimately lost her connection to it, just another
pawn in Sinbad’s game.
Alibaba asks Arba if she’s Sinbad’s
ally, Arba still apparently confused about her situation, almost in a trance.
Sinbad appears before them,
explaining that Furfur was the dungeon he conquered after he founded the second
Sindria Kingdom. The first was destroyed in the Parthevian invasion and Sinbad
took in the black rukh of the many citizens who died, half falling into
depravity.
That was when he first began to hear
David’s voice, seemingly the moment when David broke free of Ill Illah.
Alibaba asks Sinbad if there really
is no other option than returning everyone to the Rukh, Sinbad reiterating his
position he told Aladdin. In his mind, he was chosen by Solomon and other
higher gods to become a god and that wish to return everyone to the Rukh was
imbedded in his mind by destiny, which he now seeks to fulfill.
Their impending fight will be a
deciding factor in which destiny goes forward according to Sinbad.
But Arba doesn’t care either way,
Alibaba insisting that things won’t just remain the same or become how Sinbad
wants them, a deep feeling at the base of this confidence as Sinbad and Alibaba
use Djinn Equip.
The chapter ends as they begin their
fight, showing the strength of the two anomalies.
Seven Deadly Sins 215
Diane recognizes Zeldris as
one of the Ten Commandments that Meliodas fought before.
Zeldris demands that Gowther
surrender or he’ll be forced to kill him for treason against the Demon King.
Gowther notes he wants to preserve as much magic power as he can, not able to
do so if he fights against someone like Zeldris
Diane tells Gowther to leave and
stop the Holy War, confident she can fight effectively as the Giant King, the
Gowther pair leaving.
She begins to generate a massive
amount of earth magic, Zeldris impressed at this battle dance of Dolor.
But he decides not to fight her
directly, striking her in the chest, to the shock of Diane, unscathed by
another Ten Commandment’s attacks previously.
Diane tries to use her Gaia Form,
but finds that Zeldris has temporarily sealed her magic.
Zeldris reveals that he has been
granted the Demon King’s magic power and serves as his representative, offering
Dolor a chance to survive by joining the Ten Commandments, saying they can give
Dolor and Gloxinia even greater power, somewhat impressed by their courage in
the battle.
In the present, Dolor explains that,
since Giants regard fleeing battle as a worse fate than death, dishonoring
themselves is out of the question. But King notes that even if Diane chose to
be killed rather than join the Ten Commandments, she’d still be trapped.
The dichotomy in Dolor’s mind
remains, dying as the Giant King or living as a Ten Commandment?
In the flashback, Zeldris explains
that Dolor was isolated from Giants with his larger stature and hidden magic
power from his eye, seen as an anomaly, a freak.
Diane realizes that her own
reluctance to fight as a Giant makes her also seen as an abnormality in the
Giant Clan.
Zeldris further emphasizes that even
if Dolor is seen as a freak in some ways, he was still praised as their King,
only alienated because of how powerful he is.
Diane still debates about her
choice, King trying to tell her not to choose.
But she manages to come out of the
trial, explaining that she decided to run instead of choose between the options
given to her.
The chapter ends as Diane kisses
King, admitting her feelings for him
One Piece 864
Big Mom pauses, the rest of the
party in shock as well at Brook smashing Mother Carmel’s photo.
Brook reveals himself as not having
a face to further distract everyone, Big Mom astonished that the Soul King is
alive, thinking he was killed earlier today. She is so infuriated at what was
done that the rest of the guests are trying to take out the Straw Hats to avoid
a repeat of what happened in the past
Meanwhile, Pudding is shooting at
Sanji, saying that he should be disillusioned at her deception, but Sanji
thinks she’s managed to even deceive herself after all these years into
thinking she’s heartless and evil.
Sanji pushes her out of the way as
we see that Daifuku, the third son, who uses the Lamp Lamp Fruit, is trying to
take out Sanji, his genie that is summoned from the lamp managing to push back
Sanji’s kicks.
Caesar is still moving through the
Mirror World with Brulee, his heart on the line.
Bege acts like he’s pinned down
Luffy to maintain the ruse of loyalty to Big Mom
Pedro and Jinbe are still trying to
push back the enemies, but Pedro is burned by Oven, the 4th son, who has the
Heat Heat Fruit.
Brook’s head, in spite of being
knocked off, doesn’t kill him, to Luffy’s surprise.
The Germa 66 are all paralyzed by
Perospero’s Candy coating, Judge begging for Big Mom to stop her betrayal. We
see that he’s the only one who’s reacting with any emotion, his other children
having no real fear at the prospect of their own deaths.
Big Mom doesn’t react, the
consecutive shocks too much for her, Perospero saying that is a blessing in
disguise for Judge.
Bege tells Luffy to show Big Mom the
shattered photo to fully draw her attention, the others preparing to use their
earplugs
Katakuri/Dogtooth is moving towards
them, but Bege notes that he’s pale, meaning he’s seen a future he can’t fully
fight against.
Bege refuses to shoot Luffy, telling
Katakuri that even if they can’t see into the future, they can still change the
future as the chapter ends on their fight beginning.
Fairy Tail 532-533
Zeref taunts Natsu, saying he’s still not strong
enough, since he can’t transform into a dragon like Acnologia, though even if
he can’t, Natsu’s status as END makes him not fully human anyway.
Before they clash, Mavis moves between them,
pleading with Natsu to let her talk to Zeref. But he grabs her by the head. She
says she knows a way to kill Zeref, relieving him of his immortality.
Zeref insists there’s no way, even END unable to
kill him.
Mavis asks why he fears Acnologia, Zeref responding
that he’s so strong, even his immortality pales in comparison, since the
Apocalypse Dragon will wipe humanity from the earth, only he and Mavis
remaining to be used as his playthings.
Before Mavis can reveal her plan, Zeref initiates
the start of Neo Eclipse, draining her magic.
Meanwhile, Christina has taken damage from
Acnologia’s attack, Anna saying that with her Stellar Spirit Mage abilities,
she thinks she can open the Ravines of Time, but Acnologia is still chasing
them, Jellal offering to buy some time for Anna to start her process.
Natsu tries to stop Zeref, but is knocked back as he
explains to Mavis that with Neo Eclipse, he can start his life over again from
400 years ago, not suffering his immortality, but also not meeting Mavis,
thinking she might have a better life without their interaction.
Zeref even says he and Natsu will defeat Acnologia
before he gains his immense power in the past
He thinks it’s for the best that she never see this
world again because their meeting was what cursed them both, but Mavis thinks
this world is worth being in because it was the one where they met and sparked
so many other things.
Mavis falls unconscious, her magic power completely
drained.
Zeref unleashes Fairy Heart’s power, his form
changing as he is able to utilize the infinite magic, surpassing even time
itself as the chapter ends.
Everyone’s confused at what’s happened as the
chapter begins, Freed telling Gildartz they can’t go to the guild now in spite
of Laxus wanting to lay Makarov to rest.
Meanwhile, Lucy, Gray and Happy are still reeling
from the shockwave as well, Lucy deducing something about the book: that it’s
using high level magic that, if they could rewrite a particular part of it,
they could sever the link between Natsu and the book.
Natsu asks for Makarov’s forgiveness, rushing at
Zeref and using Blaze Dragon King’s Demolition Fist, seemingly vaporizing Zeref
and taking out a part of the guild as well.
But to his shock, Zeref reforms himself, the power
of Fairy Heart allowing him to dominate time and space itself, the Pinnacle of
Magic
He stabs Natsu through the heart, saying that this
will be the end, and that Natsu doesn’t need to ask for his guildmaster’s
forgiveness, because he’s dead, thinking they might meet each other in the
afterlife.
The chapter ends as he leaves Natsu in shock and
slowly dying from his injury
