One Piece is on break this week
Fairy Tail will be ending in 2
volumes according to Hiro Mashima, which would be about…18 chapters or so,
meaning we’ll see the end of Fairy Tail by September or October, depending on
if we get double chapters and such.
Dr. Stone 11
As we see Tsukasa think of what his
life could have been like if he had befriended Senkuu, Taiju cradles Senkuu’s
seemingly lifeless body, in shock at his friend dying.
Tsukasa tells them they can at least
give him a burial as his friends.
Taiju seems to snap, Tsukasa
thinking that in spite of Yuzuriha being a potential hostage, the remaining
male in their group may lash out in fury, in which case he’d have to kill him
But Taiju picks up a boulder,
whispering something to Yuzuriha as she agrees with whatever plan he told her.
Taiju throws the boulder into the
air, Tsukasa thinking it might be a decoy, but didn’t expect that Yuzuriha
would run over and throw the urn of black powder, which he instinctively
kicked, spreading it all over him.
Taiju remembers how he, Senkuu and
Yuzuriha promised to fight against Tsukasa, this last ditch effort their
attempt to take him down with what Senkuu left behind for them.
As the rock lands on the volcanic
area, the sparks ignite an explosion right at Tsukasa, the chapter ending as he’s
engulfed in it.
The author put a twist here, Senkuu
at least thought of as dead for the moment, though now the question remains as
to whether Tsukasa will be killed here or merely retreat.
We Can’t Study 13-14
Uruka finds out that there’s a ball
sports tournament today, having forgotten about it because she was so tired
after yesterday’s practice. And to her dismay, she also neglected to wear a bra
this morning, mortified at the thought of Nariyuki seeing her like that.
She’s wearing a jersey as she and
her friends watch Yuiga try to make a hit in a baseball game. He misses
completely, a more handsome student called Kobayashi taking his place, to the
excitement of Uruka’s friends.
Takemoto snaps out of her
daydreaming about Yuiga working out, wanting to stay away from him especially.
But it turns out there’s a
basketball tournament that’s co-ed and Uruka’s facing off against Yuiga, who’s
teamed up with Sawako and Kobayashi, Takemoto teamed up with Fumino and Rizu.
She thinks it might be okay, since the jersey’s black.
Fumino passes the ball to Takemoto,
but she freezes up at the idea of everyone possibly staring at her chest.
Yuiga steals the ball from her,
Takemoto trying to focus afterwards.
She moves quickly to make a shot,
but Yuiga, wanting to improve his grades in physical education with this
tournament victory, moves to intercept her, brushing against her chest, which
makes Takemoto stop immediately in embarrassment
As they’re taking a break for
halftime, Yuiga approaches Takemoto, wondering if she’s feeling okay. He concludes
she might just be stressed out under the pressure of everyone counting on her,
saying that she shouldn’t worry, since she stands out when she plays sports.
Takemoto misinterprets this
conversation to suggest Yuiga is confessing his feelings indirectly, inspired
to ignore her plight and do better.
She ties the game with amazing
shots, only 30 seconds left.
Yuiga moves to intercept and after
she misses the shot, they both move to catch the ball, Uruka’s chest brushing
up against Yuiga’s again. She tries to push past her embarrassment, but ends up
slipping and falling on him chest first onto his face.
Fumino makes the shot, winning the
game for Uruka’s team.
Takemoto’s worried about Yuiga
noticing her braless situation, Yuiga commenting that she feels like his
sister, making her even more embarrassed.
The chapter ends as she thinks she
should’ve just worn her swimsuit underneath
We start the next chapter as Yuiga’s
class is going on a 3 day, 2 night training camp in the mountains. But Yuiga’s
classmate Oomori is depressed at the idea of them just going into nature to
study, wanting there to be mixed bathing or such.
Yuiga isn’t focused on that, seeing
a plant he could use in tempura, but dragged away by the teacher before he can
pick it up.
Fumino notices that Rizu’s been
looking at Yuiga, asking what she’s thinking. Rizu thinks she’s talking about
someone else.
Later on, she wonders if she really
was looking at Yuiga too much, moving to offer him an eraser as his is getting
smaller while they’re doing a test.
But Fumino and Takemoto both offer
Yuiga erasers as well, which he accepts, nearly looking up Takemoto’s skirt as
he moves to pick up the one Fumino accidentally dropped. Rizu seems frustrated
at the missed opportunity.
She’s going to get milk, thinking
she must be low on calcium to explain her irritation. Yuiga helps her press the
button on the vending machine that she can’t quite reach. He asks her if she
needs any help, Rizu running away, trying to avoid confronting him about her
confused feelings as she blurts out that it’s not his business, confusing
Yuiga.
Rizu is playing a card game in the woods,
wondering about how she should apologize for her outburst. She sees the plant
that Yuiga was interested in before, getting a bunch, but losing track of time
and even how she got there.
It starts to rain heavily, Yuiga not
knowing where Rizu is. Sawako also asks Yuiga if he’s aware of Rizu’s location,
since they can’t use their smartphones in the training camp.
Yuiga thinks Rizu must still be out
in the rain, going himself to find her.
Rizu is sitting on a hill under a
tree, her only solution to being lost to wait for someone to find her, which
she thinks will be likely come tomorrow at the latest.
She imagines Yuiga coming to help
her, thinking that’s illogical to imagine such an unlikely scenario.
But Yuiga appears before her, having
noticed a card from the game she was playing float down a hill and deducing she
must be higher up.
She offers the edible plants abruptly,
trying to pass it off as just something she found.
Yuiga wonders if she’s unable to get
down as she hesitates on the hill, but Rizu moves down, slipping and
accidentally kissing Yuiga as he tries to catch her with the chapter’s end
Black Clover 110
Asta is still wracking his brain for
a way to continue his way up Ultime Volcano. He tries to just scream out “Transform”,
but it does nothing, Meleoleona leaving him to his devices.
After remembering that he was nearly
dead when he transformed into the antimagic form before, Asta thinks he could
leap into the lava, but decides against it.
He’s initially starting to get
jealous again, but focuses on what he has, thinking that Meleoleona commented
that he doesn’t know himself fully yet.
What he concludes he does have is 1)
the ability to use the antimagic sword and cut down magic, 2) a trained
physically fit body and 3) the ability to detect ki, to avoid dangers like
falling rocks.
He then notices that if he
concentrates, he can feel his own ki and some black energy flowing from the
sword, trying to see if he can make the two flow together, managing to activate
the anti magic form, which pulls him into the air towards some high source of
mana
We see that the source is a giant
lava monster, the Crimson Lions not able to fight it effectively, Noelle having
difficulty just keeping up her Mana Skin.
Asta goes flying through the
monster, destroying it and going right past them.
Turns out he’s now going towards
Yuno, who stops his flight, Asta heading into the lava, to his shock.
Meleoleona appears, dodging his
attack and punching him out of his descent into the lava, Yami and Charlotte
impressed at her combat abilities.
Asta is happy that he’s gotten some
understanding of his ability, even if he can’t fully control it, Meleoleona
complimenting him for improving. She then asks him to get ready for the hot
spring, Asta confused as the chapter ends
Boku no Hero Academia 138
We’re told that Nighteye’s Foresight
saw the location and path that the underling of the Eight Precepts of Death
took to get to Eri’s room. They also give out lists of the known Quirks that
the members have so they can be careful in their infiltration.
Nighteye wants to be clear of
everyone’s positions so the villains can’t have time to react and hide
themselves, the Yuuei students especially nervous, though the Big 3 seem more
confident. Ryukyu tells Asui that she didn’t learn this stuff when she was in
school, so it’s a big opportunity for the fledgling Heroes to learn for
themselves.
Since something has happened with
Tsukauchi’s investigation, Gran Torino isn’t able to make it.
Aizawa reminds Deku that he’s here
to keep him in check, the rest of the Heroes told that they need to be careful
of the yakuza Villains and how they operate, everyone moving out.
The warrant is being read and
everyone is ready to start the mission, the Key Hero Lock-Lock (name is unclear
since it’s in katakana and we don’t have an official spelling like with other
Hero names from a few chapters ago like Mirio’s Hero name Le Million) a bit
irritated that they have to be reminded of this.
The commander pushes the intercom
button, but the gate is punched open by a giant Villain, knocking some of the police
away, saved by Deku and Aizawa.
The Villain attacks Ryuukyuu, who
uses her Quirk to turn into a dragon, saying she’ll hold them off with her group
while the rest go into the hideout proper.
Some of the other Villains attack
the group that’s getting into the building itself, but are easily pushed back.
Overhaul is told about the
situation, telling his subordinate to act like he wasn’t here, that the Heroes
attacked on their own accord
His pawns, wearing masks because it
allows him to not breathe the same air as those who do his dirty work, are
prepared to hold the Heroes off while Overhaul and the others move their
operation elsewhere, including Eri, the chapter ending as we see the rogues
gallery of the Eight Precepts of Death.
Magi 348
Alibaba reiterates that he has a
plan that’s different from Aladdin’s idea of destroying the Sacred Palace or
Sinbad returning everyone to the Rukh.
His status as one who died as a
human, became one with a god and then came back as a human, living and
breathing unlike Arba’s spirit form, makes him uniquely qualified
More importantly is how Alibaba
achieved his revival with the help of everyone in Ill Illah, thinking that even
if he’s weaker than Sinbad or Arba, collaborating with others may be the key to
doing something more amazing.
Arba suggests he might have no worth
apart from others, but Alibaba notes that his skill is that assisting of
others. And even Sinbad aided him, Alibaba’s achievements in no small part
because of Sinbad’s contributions, which even Sinbad cannot seem to fully
understand.
Sinbad acknowledges Alibaba’s plan
as having worth, teleporting Aladdin back here at Alibaba’s request to further
discuss.
Alibaba begins by explaining how
Sinbad’s goal is vertical, trying to break the ceilings to achieve higher
status than the upper tier gods, but that it would involve sacrificing everyone
to the Rukh’s flow.
Aladdin’s plan is horizontal, trying
to break the dichotomy between black and white rukh, which would still end up
with some other god taking over the system eventually.
So instead, Alibaba thinks they
should remove both the vertical and horizontal aspects.
Alibaba died and was sent to another
dimension by Belial’s scythe and then was sent back by the magic that the
people of Alma Torran created. Since they connected dimensions, even if only
for a brief moment, Alibaba thinks that this can be applied to Sinbad’s idea of
breaking through the layers of the world, like a building’s floors.
But there’s still the matter of the
Rukh being scattered, people from this world, Alma Torran and Al Thamen all in
different dimensions, seemingly there because of some rule that’s considered
immutable.
But Alibaba thinks with the magic
they developed, it could be possible to connect the worlds and break the
horizontal and vertical boundaries, making the Rukh truly free. This plan seems
to shake Sinbad and Aladdin both.
The chapter concludes as we see the
Djinn observing this, Ugo in disbelief at this plan and thinking it cannot
happen, that he won’t allow it.
Seven Deadly Sins 217
Diane and King are greeted by the
other Sins, Meliodas included, to their shock, only mildly affected by Diane
falling on him, thankfully.
Bartra is about to say something,
but is interrupted by Diane and King freaking out over Meliodas, thinking he’s
a ghost. After they confirm he isn’t, Ban and Meliodas comment on King’s new
wings that he’s starting to sprout.
Meliodas also notices something
about Diane, who confirms her memories are back, to everyone’s happiness
Diane tells Gowther than in spite of
his attempt to wipe her memories, they stayed deep within her, brought forth by
Demon Gowther’s magic when they saw him 3000 years ago.
With this, she says they will help
Gowther find his lost heart.
Meliodas and the others are a bit
confused at the mention of them seeing things from 3000 years ago, Merlin
commenting that it could be a magic from the Goddess Clan (meaning it may not
have been Gowther who gave Dolor and Gloxinia the magic they used, but
Elizabeth or another member of the Goddess Clan)
Merlin explains to the others that
Gowther did once have a heart, Bartra chiming in and revealing the magical
object.
But Gowther flees, to their
confusion. Merlin, curious about the heart, asks to see it, while the others
move to help Gowther, Meliodas quoting one of the bylaws the Seven Deadly Sins
abide by, helping one another if they’re in trouble.
As they’re moving towards Gowther,
Ban asks Meliodas about his knowledge of the Sin of Lust, Meliodas explaining
how he knew Demon Gowther and how his Commandment of Selflessness was given by
the Demon King to him because of the power he had as a magic user. Gowther
created the doll version of himself as a young boy to not arouse any lust
within him and protecting him from the Commandment’s consequences should he
have such a feeling of desire.
Gowther being a doll makes it harder
to find him by normal means, Ban and Meliodas at their wits’ end.
We see Gowther struggling with his
emotions, not remembering what happened when he lost his heart. He moves to
erase his memories with Lost World, but Diane stops him with a flying kick as
the chapter ends
Fairy Tail 535
Lucy starts to convulse, Gray finding she’s hot to
the touch as something feels like it’s burning inside her body.
She thinks this might be the way she can save Natsu,
by tracing this source to his core, Happy thinking they could possibly even
overwrite the Demon part of him
Gray uses his Ice Demon Slayer magic to cool Lucy’s
body, saying they’ll work together to save Natsu.
Natsu’s revival shocks Zeref, though he thinks a
second wind won’t help him, since any further rewriting would probably kill the
person involved according to his knowledge of the text and its power.
The Flame Dragon Slayer thanks his friends for
reminding him what is truly important in this fight: it’s not his feelings,
it’s protecting the guild and everyone in it. With that, Natsu is powered even
more by the feeling of his guildmates.
Meanwhile, Jellal is barely pushing back Acnologia,
trying desperately to move him towards the Ravines of Time to defeat him and
protect Erza, ignoring her cries to get away.
Christina crashes, Acnologia beginning to crush
Jellal in his claws
Natsu is punching Zeref with his newfound strength,
barely damaging him, but the Dark Mage still insists that Natsu is wrong, that
his Neo Eclipse plan is for everyone’s sake. Natsu retorts that all Zeref is
doing is being selfish, not caring about the suffering of others.
Both of them ready their finishing moves, Natsu’s
Blaze Dragon Demolition Fist and Zeref the Stygian Blast Circle, the two
attacks clashing as the chapter ends.
