So World Trigger is basically on a hiatus, though I imagine things will be back to normalcy by next year, depending on the severity of whatever’s affecting Ashihara-sensei

In other news, another series started serialization in Shonen Jump and it has lots of promise: Demon’s Plan. A pair of friends who worked hard to get the money to use something that promised a wish is given the chance after being separated and shown that their dreams were based on a deception. However, they don’t see eye to eye on what to do with their new powers gifted by the masked figure called Patron. Has a really dark theme of making a proverbial deal with a demon to acquire powers, as well as making commentary on societal ills and how people continue living through despair.

Black Clover 87

Asta is about to attack, but is pushed back by Salamander’s sheer heat coming from its body, the flame spirit swooping over him. Finral and Vanessa can’t even utilize their magic, the fiery mana restricting their power.

Fana tries to assault them again, but Noelle protects them with Naga’s Cradle.

The Salamander’s power still manages to slowly boil through it and the Salamander Claw attack narrowly misses as everyone avoids it.

Noelle starts to doubt herself, her brothers’ mocking of her resounding internally. But Asta’s encouragement snaps her out of it as she resolves to motivate him as well by utilizing her power to protect him and her friends. She even speaks about someone else that she can’t disappoint, which was also hinted at earlier with the situation of Asta’s arms and how he reminded her of that person’s resolve in the face of disappointment.

She only has one shot of Naga’s Cannon, but she puts everything into it.

However, Fana utilizes the Crystal Magic again, protecting herself slightly from the attack.

Noelle won’t give up, turning the serpent of water around and biting into Fana’s Salamander, weakening it. She speaks the name of the person that reminded her of Asta, Bruce

The chapter ends as Asta and Finral prepare to follow up and finish this battle.

Boku no Hero Academia 116

All For One explains how stifling and oppressing the prison he’s in feels, monitored all the time, even comparing it to Tartarus. He comments on how All Might seems so pathetic, still wearing his costume, asking him why he’s here.

All Might asks him where Shigaraki is, the #1 Villain saying he doesn’t concern himself with his student, since he’s let him become independent. But All Might still wants to know why he persisted, why he survived to this day

All For One responds that they’ll never agree, so it’s pointless to really explain. But he notes that he intended to be the pinnacle of evil and he had the power to do so. If he could live on forever through those ideals, then he would do anything to achieve that.

All Might is told they only have 3 minutes left, All For One asking what things are like outside since his rival’s retirement.

Since All Might cannot tell him, All For One predicts, with startling accuracy, the state of the world after losing the symbol of peace. The instability, people seeking out new Heroes and those who don’t fit in beginning to organize around their own leaders

All For One also notes how All Might must feel powerless and despair at how he cannot do anything against the Villains he’s created, especially Shigaraki. But All Might discerns that All For One intends for Shigaraki, a blood relative of All Might’s master, to kill All Might and Deku as a form of justice.

The #1 Hero insists that he will not die, he won’t let All For One’s plans come to fruition.

As he leaves, he vows that he will smash any future All For One tries to create.

In spite of getting no real useful information, Tsukauchi thinks it wasn’t going to be so simple to begin with in using All Might to talk with All For One

Before Tsukauchi can set up an interview with Stain for All Might, the former #1 Hero gets a picture on his phone of Deku’s provisional license.

Back at the dorms, the others are ready to start classes, apparently ordering stuff for a celebratory meal.

The chapter ends as Bakugou approaches Deku to talk to him later about Deku’s Quirk, likely having discerned the connection to All Might

Seven Deadly Sins 200

Diane and King are healed by Gloxinia’s Moon Drop power, but they’re still suspicious, wondering what the Commandments are planning.

Gloxinia and Dolor insist that Diane and King are still too weak and that they intend to train them, Gloxinia even imitating Meliodas commenting as such, which makes Dolor laugh.

King asks why they would train them as their enemies, Dolor and Gloxinia explaining that they’re not actually part of the Demon Clan.

They vowed to destroy the Demon King and his armies, but had to make a decision 3000 years ago that they’ve only recently decided was a great mistake.

King and Diane are still confused, but Gloxinia and Dolor say they should steel themselves and consider whether they really want to take this training on, since it’s very risky and could result in their deaths

Both of them are ready in spite of some misgivings, Dolor initiating a technique that was taught to someone from their past.

Diane and King awaken to find that they’re in Dolor and Gloxinia’s bodies.

They then encounter Meliodas, who seems to only recognize them as Gloxinia and Dolor, suggesting this is occurring in the past.

But the biggest shock is Elizabeth, who appears with wings, Meliodas noting that she’s supposed to be a Goddess as the chapter ends on the 4 meeting together.

Magi 328

Aladdin and Alibaba go to Reim, asking Titus why they reconsidered their decision to be independent from the International Alliance.

Titus says that Scheherazade told them to not see the world purely from Reim’s perspective, but a more global one. With the risk that Reim could pose in the future of creating a climate of war, they thought it better in the long term to join with Sinbad.

Alibaba understands, though he still wonders why Muu and the others changed their mind after discussing it for so long. They respond that they were thinking too small and this will be more beneficial for everyone.

Aladdin still notes that the feeling he had is persisting, discerning that it must’ve been Sinbad overwriting people’s thoughts by controlling and manipulating their Rukh from the Sacred Palace.

They confront Sinbad, who admits it, though he also qualifies that he isn’t manipulating their thoughts so much as putting a shared hope in their minds. With how things have become, Sinbad thinks everyone has lost their way, so he gave them a unified perspective.

He even argues that Solomon was doing a similar thing, though it was misguided in that someone who lost hope was severed from the connection. With the definition of “hope” left unclear, Sinbad thought it better to qualify it and thus give everyone a shared perspective that allowed them to work towards the same goals.

Aladdin still thinks this is wrong, but Sinbad argues it’s just his personal views, trying to keep people chained to the old ways.

He admits Aladdin could go and change things again, but it would just be a battle of ideologies at that point. With Aladdin being from Alma Torran, Sinbad thinks it’s arrogant of him to try to change this world to fit his views.

The chapter ends as both Aladdin and Sinbad ask Alibaba which of them is right.

One Piece 847

We see Carrot slowly being lowered into a boiling cauldron by Brulee in her Mirror World, while Chopper is thinking of a plan to get out of his chains

Shifting over to Whole Cake Chateau, Big Mom is telling Sanji’s siblings about the Manticore that escaped from Impel Down 2 years ago. She also shows a picture of a Unicorn, seemingly alive through the power of Mont D’or’s book based Devil Fruit. She even has humans, such as the Centaur from Punk Hazard and a hybrid of a Longarm and Longleg Tribe

Judge brings up one oddity in Big Mom’s country: there don’t seem to be any Giants, though Big Mom insists they must’ve just missed them.

Someone brings news about 2 people Big Mom was asking for, trying to keep in his enthusiasm at seeing Germa 66 in the flesh, though his superior tells him to not let the tales about them influence him too much, looking deeper.

Luffy and Nami are still imprisoned in Mont D’or’s book, Big Mom talking to the Straw Hat captain through a Den Den Mushi. She’s confused as to why he didn’t bring his whole crew, Luffy saying that he’s just here to get Sanji back.

Big Mom reminds him that she’ll let them go once Sanji is married and they don’t mess things up, because otherwise she’ll make them suffer for ruining her special day.

She also brings up how Luffy tried to pay her back with the treasure from Fishman Island in exchange for eating all her candy. In that treasure was the Tamatebako, which Big Mom plabns to unveil at the ceremony, forgetting that Luffy ate all the candy at Fishman Island.

What’s most intriguing to Big Mom is Nami allegedly killing Lola. Nami insists that she’s alive and well and even notes how she was told the Vivre Card could help them get into Big Mom’s good graces, though that doesn’t seem to be the case as Big Mom is furious.

She would’ve been happier if Lola was actually dead, wanting to know if they’re aware of her whereabouts so she can send someone to kill her. Lola apparently ran from one of the most important marriages for Big Mom, allegedly amassing enough power from that which would’ve allowed her to take out the other Yonkou and become the Pirate King.

But Luffy insists that she’s foolish and that he’ll challenge her and win in the end.

Sanji, meanwhile, is still worried about his friends.

The chapter ends as we see that Pedro has been revealed to be in the castle, drawing everyone’s attention away as Brook prepares to do a live concert

Fairy Tail 511

Sting is confused at why Larcade smells exactly like Natsu, since there should be differences between parents and children. Larcade explains that it’s because Natsu is like Zeref’s child in his new form as END rather than his brother.

He tries to attack again, but Sting assaults him with Holy Ray and Holy Nova.

Larcade then unleashes a new attack, Soul of the Forbidden Meal, initiating an illusion that the people around him are food, that hunger consuming Sting and the others as they start to try and eat each other.

Frosch says he’ll endure it, since he always eats with Rogue, Sting following suit as he knocks everyone else out, so they won’t fall victim to the attack’s effects.

Sting tries to attack Larcade again, but Larcade knocks him away and stabs him in the shoulder with the cross he bears. He tells Sting to give up, since he doesn’t concern himself with anyone outside of Fairy Tail unless they continue to meddle in the battle.

But Sting insists that he’s fighting for Fairy Tail’s sake, because they helped him become a better person. Larcade is disappointed that such a weak person is fighting for Natsu, since he intends to take his nephew’s life

Suddenly, Yukino disappears, replaced by Rogue, teleported there by Minerva’s magic. He offers up all his magic to be eaten by Sting, who begrudgingly does so.

Larcade prepares to use his ultimate magic, based on the human desire for sleep, which will put them in eternal slumber like death.

Sting is now much stronger as the White Shadow Dragon, Larcade revealing the name of his ultimate magic, R.I.P. as the chapter ends
