Black Clover 84

Asta’s group recognizes the Eye of the Midnight Sun, particularly Fana and her new Third Eye as well as Mars from the Diamond Kingdom.

The Witch Queen thinks she can handle it, Fana unleashing a massive blast of flame to smoke out the person who stole the magic stone.

A blaze results, the Witch Queen thinking it’s odd that Salamander is so powerful and that she cannot fight it off with the power of the forest alone.

Vanessa awakens after remembering how Yami inspired her to fight supposed destiny of her birth, Asta and the others greeting her.

Asta tells Vanessa that he won’t let her give up her freedom to fix his arms, unwilling to give up a comrade like that.

He brings up that he has one last method to heal his arms, unbinding them and striking one with the anti magic sword in his mouth.

It doesn’t work. Vanessa saying he can’t fight this on his own. But Asta persists, Vanessa stopping him and noting that she meant he needs to rely on his friends sometimes, since she was planning to have him fight with her to get out of the Witch Village once his arms were healed with the anti magic swords.

Noelle pleads with the Witch Queen to heal Asta’s arms, saying he’ll aid her in this time of trouble. She further emphasizes that they work as a team and it’s in the forest’s best interests for her to heal Asta to help the forest.

The Witch Queen agrees, saying that she’ll get Vanessa and his anti magic swords in the future, quickly unleashing her Leukocyte/Blood Healing Magic to restore Asta’s arms to full health and make them even stronger.

The chapter ends as Asta pulls out his swords, ready to fight.

Boku no Hero Academia 113

Gang Orca compliments Todoroki and Inasa for their teamwork in spite of the paralysis he inflicted on them, thinking they’re improving and learning from past mistakes.

His group recognizes the pillar of fire surrounding him, noting how he’s weak to dryness. But before they can assist him, Deku comes in, drawing their attention, as well as Ojiro, noting that the evacuation is nearly complete.

Mera observes that there are only 3 HUC members left to rescue before the exam is over.

Other Yuuei students come in, including Asui, who’s developed a Camouflage technique with her Frog Quirk to assist in battle.

Shiketsu students are also fighting the enemies, the rescue efforts nearing their end in every area.

Gang Orca has a counter to being weak to dryness, unloading a bottle of water on himself as he blows away Todoroki and Inasa’s combined effort away.

Deku rushes to attack, making contact right as the exam comes to a close, every HUC member rescued.

Everyone is told to get changed or recover from injuries and wait further reports of the tallied scores.

Gang Orca thinks to himself even if he wasn’t wearing a restricting device for his power, he might’ve had some trouble with the tandem efforts of Todoroki, Inasa and Deku’s assaults.

After some time, Mera reports the scores, noting how the 2 main qualities they were observing were how well students were considering the situation and how effective they were in responding to it.

Deku checks the list, finding his name, Mineta’s a few below him. But the chapter ends as Yoarashi and Todoroki both realize they’ve failed.

Seven Deadly Sins 198

King and Diane try to explain why they were in the same place, Diane confused about King talking about something not sprouting, thinking it was something else besides King’s wings, to his embarrassment

The two reminisce about Meliodas’ death, Diane wondering why the Ten Commandments haven’t attacked the Fairy King’s Forest. King explains there’s a barrier that filters out various enemies, adjustable to allow people like Diane or Matrona in. But he thinks that Gloxinia or Dolor could be attacking soon, since they haven’t heard anything regarding their movements since Meliodas died.

Diane and King go back to meet Matrona, her children playing with Oslo.

Gerharde tells King that she felt like someone was watching her as she returned from outside the forest, though she dismisses it as likely nothing to worry about.

Everyone dances together, enjoying themselves and forgetting the troubles of the outside.

Gerharde sees a vision of Gloxinia, happy to see him, as if they know each other from the past.

Suddenly, everyone snaps back to reality, as if they were affected by some kind of illusion, Diane and King nowhere to be seen, Gerharde still overwhelmed by her happiness at seeing Gloxinia, thought to be dead.

We shift to a new location, Diane and King realizing that they’ve been transported elsewhere.

They see Gloxinia and Dolor before them, the chapter ending as they resolve themselves to fight in spite of having a massive power gap between them and the Ten Commandments.

Seven Deadly Sins is on break next week

World Trigger 163

The joint Sniper training today is about radar search for targets. They’re judged on how well they can find targets and hit them without visual guidance

Natsume is happy at her improvement, but still thinks she has a ways to go in order to advance into the official ranks. Yuzuru comforts her by saying that not all those who become B Rank and above are diligent in their training, not always coming like Touma or others.

Oki appears, complimenting Chika as well as the cat who hangs out with the Snipers, including Natsume who found it.

Touma pokes fun at the Ikoma squad Sniper’s failure to fully defeat Chika before, but Oki retorts that he just felt bad for shooting someone like Chika, who he thinks could be a great little sister.

Yuzuru tells him to stop making Chika uncomfortable, Natsume noticing this.  Hiura asks if she’s hard to shoot as well, Oki saying she is, which makes her happy

Kageura sends a message, telling Yuzuru that he, Kitazoe and even Touma are invited to his place, Chika, Natsume and Hiura all staying behind to train until Reiji picks up Chika.

Yuma and the others are having okonomiyaki, Touma and Kitazoe impressed at Kageura making friends with Yuma. But Kageura explains that he’s interested in Yuma because he doesn’t send out the feelings that normally affect him in regards to the Side Effect of feeling empathic pinpricks on his body. The only other person with that kind of skill is Azuma.

Kageura brings up Yuzuru’s interest in Chika, Kitazoe thinking it’s nice. But Kageura thinks it could be a problem, since Yuzuru’s talked about throwing the next match in Chika’s favor, since his squad isn’t aiming for the away squad.

Yuma notes that he doesn’t have to worry, since Chika’s already been assigned to the squad because of her high Trion capacity, allowing lower rank members to possibly join from B Rank.

Yuzuru still thinks it could be a problem with Chika not going along with Osamu and Yuma, frustrating Kageura.

Arafune and Hokari show up, the Combat Sniper saying that Yuzuru should just aim to go on the expedition as well to protect Chika, since he’s so interested in protecting her.

The chapter ends as Yuma agrees, commenting that Tamakoma 2 doesn’t plan to lose to Kageura or any squads in the future.

Magi 325

We flashback to when David was granted magic by Ill Illah, the only one initially to realize how destiny was a part of existence, every event already ordained.

In spite of his great power acquired over time, David now thinks he was merely another pawn to advance Sinbad, an even more powerful singularity, to becoming a God. But Sinbad says otherwise, claiming all magicians shape the world through their kings, not God.

David is recruited by Sinbad as we shift to the Sacred Palace, Sinbad manifesting before Ugo and Arba.

It’s explained that Sinbad’s 7 Djinn held back his Rukh from being absorbed into the flow and then David extracted it with his own power.

The 7 Djinns appear before Ugo, saying that they will not go with his plan and return to the dungeons, instead pledging their loyalty fully to Sinbad, someone they believe can shift the flow of destiny.

Ugo can’t believe that they are dismissing Solomon, but David casts an illusion on him, Solomon’s form telling him that they should leave things to Sinbad and rest after their eons of work.

David and Sinbad prepare to remake the world, now the masters of the Sacred Palace in Ugo’s place, Arba fearful of what will happen now.

Meanwhile, Kougyoku and Hakuryuu are working to restore the Kou empire’s stability, while Alibaba and Morgiana are writing invitations to their wedding

Judar appears, Alibaba’s concerns of him trying to create wars alleviated, Judar saying that he was found by Hakuryuu in his hometown.

The chapter concludes as we see Aladdin and Yunan observing that something has changed in the world.

One Piece 845

Nami asks Luffy if he’s serious about standing against Big Mom’s army, especially after provoking her wrath in defeating one of the Sweet Commanders, Luffy stubborn as always.

They notice the manifestation of Prometheus and Zeus, Big Mom already enraged at how things have turned out and only getting angrier.

We then shift to see a massive army building up to face Luffy, avenging Cracker’s defeat.

Luffy still persists in not consuming anything not made by Sanji, even avoiding the rain that is sweet in nature as much as anything in Totland.

Big Mom is going to meet the Vinsmoke family, observing how she wants her family to all get along, even one of her younger children, who shows severe mental issues in wanting to mutilate her stuffed animal with kitchen knives.

Sitting at the table, Big Mom and Judge both speak about how they care about the marriage because it guarantees their alliance and even suggest, likely for appearances, that they also want their children to be happy as well.

Sanji is irritated at the talking food, passing a note to Pudding, saying they need to talk in private.

Meanwhile, Luffy still insists on staying where he is, not even hiding for fear Sanji will think he’s broken his promise.

Sanji and Pudding talk about how their plans have gone awry, the only option now to somehow steal the keys to Sanji’s explosive bracelets from Big Mom. He tells Pudding how he doesn’t have any allies, stuck in a situation where he has no choice but to comply to keep them safe.

Pudding continues to apologize, Sanji insisting it’s not her fault; that he still cares for his friends and wants to help them somehow by going along with the wedding. She agrees, thinking that she should make an effort to help as well, saying that they won’t have a bad life together as the chapter ends.

One Piece is off next week

Toriko 394

With all the ingredients pouring out of NEO, Toriko notices one in particular that was the one he noticed after biting into the manifested Appetite Demon. PAIR notes it’s called the Endophant or the Endmammoth, an extinct species whose great flavor has become even more savory over the generations.

Toriko completes his Full Course, the Blue and “White” Demon still thinking Toriko needs to pursue greater ingredients in the future.

Aimaru and Teppei explode out from the earth, CENTER healing everyone’s wounds, even bringing those back from near death.

The outpouring of energy cleanses that portion of the earth from the damage.

Midora thinks it must be Food Luck, but it’s odd, since everyone in the area’s Food Luck was devoured.

The one who had so much Food Luck turns out to be Zonge, a joke character at first.

Midora prepares to sacrifice himself, turning every last bit of energy in his body to savoriness, unleashing Gourmet Spice upon the rest of the earth to restore it to a better state as his body turns to stone.

The chapter ends as Toriko gifts NEO with food, showing kindness to the Appetite Demon after billions of years with just consuming anything.

Next time promises 31 pages, some thinking this could signal an end to the series, though it’s still unclear at the moment. I imagine it’s still got some time left, a huge climactic battle not always the indicator of a series’ conclusion.

Fairy Tail 508

Rogue and Minerva catch their breath, Bradman and Wahl Icht defeated before them, though they discern that they were merely conjurations, thinking their originator may have been defeated.

They also notice that Fairy Law was cast, their friendly status with Fairy Tail a boon in this battle where such a spell was cast, cutting down the enemy numbers greatly.

Meanwhile, Yukino and Angel are looking on the scene, along with Lector and Frosch, but are shocked to see Larcade (a somewhat better rendering of the Japanese originally translated as Rakheid before), who says that he’ll have to save face now.

He utilizes his magic, which makes most of the people on the battlefield, save those who are younger, like Romeo and Cana, become overwhelmed by some great pleasure.

Erza and Wendy are unaffected to Eileen’s surprise as she moves to finish them off.

Zeref tells Larcade to stop his magic, affecting even their allies, the mysterious Spriggan agreeing.

He uses his magic directly on Yukino, explaining that it is called “Pleasure”, which affects those who have directly experienced what he calls the forbidden fruit, likely meant to entail sexual intercourse. But even Yukino’s virginal body is being affected now.

The chapter ends as Kagura intervenes, saying that she finds it odd someone so pure in appearance would be working with Zeref, Larcade saying he is more than just Zeref’s subordinate, he is in fact, his son.
