Black Clover 79

William says he doesn’t really want to remove his mask, because it’s not a face people want to see. He knows that Yami suspects him of being the leader of the Eye of the Midnight Sun

Yami says they have similar builds, voices and even their ki. In spite of knowing him for about 10 years, he still holds some suspicion. William takes off his mask, revealing a horribly scarred top half hidden by the mask.

William explains that he was born with this, ostracized by others for his appearance, seemingly cursed from birth. Eventually he was taken in by nobles, since he was an illegitimate child of the noble that lost their heir. But he was still abused by his foster mother, only the Wizard King treating him with kindness, seeing his magic as something reflecting his kindness towards others and not caring about his scar. He even gave William the mask he uses today.

Yami observes that William isn’t lying from the state of his ki, just a coincidence that he resembles Licht so much, apologizing for presuming something bad about him.

William says it’s okay, happy to have revealed the truth to someone after so long.

A subordinate tells William that the Diamond Kingdom is retreating, the two of them moving to wrap things up.

Yuno bids farewell to Asta’s group, Charmy still bickering with Bell. He tells Asta to be safe.

Finral asks if it was okay for Asta to just leave, Asta saying they’ll meet on another battlefield in the future, Charmy confident they’ll see each other again as well.

Rangils berates Yuno for associating with commoners, especially Asta, who he finds laughable for Yuno to regard as a rival. Both Asta and Yuno comment that they pursue the same title of Wizsard King and Yuno ignores Rangils’ mocking him for being a commoner with no sense of shame, saying that he’ll be the Captain of the Golden Dawn in the future.

The chapter ends as we see Lotus reporting to his superior, who says that the shining Generals were the old era’s warriors, the Magic Warriors the ones to succeed them, Mars among their ranks as we see the group.

Boku no Hero Academia 108

Shindou and his classmates talk about the situation, earlier in the exam, and how it might have backfired on them to split up the battlefield as they did. But he insists that they’re in an advantageous position, everyone else flailing about trying to get points on Yuuei, while they’re above that and are calmer, able to assess things and win.

We shift to the present, Bakugou, Kirishima and Kaminari all having passed along with Deku, Ochako and Sero. Bakugou asks Deku if he’s managed to make the power he borrowed his own, hinting he might have figured out about Deku’s connection to All Might

The others that have passed include Momo and Jirou, among some other students in class 1-A. Only 9 are left out of the 20 students, 11 having passed already.

We shift over to Iida, who’s helping Aoyama, who was separated from the group with Shindou’s attack. He wonders if Iida’s okay with failing if everyone else succeeds, the class president saying he’ll be fine with that, wanting to support his classmates.

Ms. Joke notices that her students have passed, all 8 of them in a group at once, meaning there’s only 10 spots left, making it a close exam for Class 1-A.

Aoyama flashes his Navel Laser, wanting to stand out and in a bad situation already with 2 of his targets hit. This actually aids the class in uniting, everyone combining their strengths to pass, the 100 person mark met as it’s revealed that everyone managed to pass, including Aoyama with Iida’s help.

The chapter ends as the terrain shifts again as they’re told that the next stage will be a disaster rescue challenge, something that Yuuei had practiced early on in the series with Class 1-A.

World Trigger 159

We start with a flashback to Hyuse’s training to become a B rank agent from C rank, falling behind Yuma with his record of fighting the simulated Neighbor.

Arashiyama explains to this group that instead of having points change based on the performance in the provisional enlistment exams, they’re going to have a different test

Groups of 5 will fight in a battle royale, 120 points earned per person and there will be 4 rounds

Hyuse easily defeats his group, totaling at 3000 after everything. So he starts a Rank War with a group of C rank agents we met much earlier, who have become confident after getting to the point where they’ll nearly be able to advance to B Rank. He advances to B rank after defeating them and draws the attention of some of the B Rank agents that Tamakoma 2 has fought against.

They suggest that they fight a few matches to see how good he is, handicapping themselves, because they think he’s still untrained, not using Shield and only. But Hyuse still manages to get clean sweeps for the first three opponents, only losing once against Sasamori from Suwa squad.

Tsuji is brought into the matches as well and scores 2 wins against Hyuse, even though he still ultimately loses. The swordsmanship of the hidden Neighbor impresses Tsuji, one of the best in B Rank

The chapter ends as we see Ikoma has been called as well, possibly hinting that he’ll be fighting against Hyuse as well.

World Trigger is on break next week

Seven Deadly Sins 193

Zaratras tells Hendricksen that the only way they can stop Fraudrin now is to kill Dreyfus, but  Hendricksen is opposed to this.

Fraudrin attacks them, Zaratras narrowly dodging with the quick movement his lightning power provides him, pulling Hendricksen with him.

The Commandment taunts Zaratras, unable to do anything now but kill his younger brother to save him.

Suddenly, Hawk in his demonic form appears, Fraudrin confused. Hawk blasts him in the face with horrible smelling leftovers, distracting him enough for Zaratras to grab him from behind.

His plan is to pour all of his energy into a final Purge attack to take Fraudrin out of Dreyfus’ body, the flash blinding as we see the true monstrous form of Fraudrin.

He mocks Zaratras, saying he’ll just possess Dreyfus again after being forced out.

Hendricksen moves to stop him, but is stabbed by Fraudrin, who tells him that his body isn’t worth possessing. But Hendricksen retorts that Fraudrin’s taken too much time to get revenge on Meliodas, who has (according to his knowledge) died.

Griamore is confused at things, Fraudrin seemingly having a bit of Dreyfus’ emotions melded in him as he calls out his son’s name.

Suddenly, he’s blasted by Dreyfus’ magic, dealing a blow to him that stuns the Demon.

Dreyfus claims that Fraudrin underestimated humans, the chapter ending as he blasts him with Heaven’s Piercing Jail Breaking Blade, seemingly disintegrating the Commandment.

Magi 321

Arba reiterates the risk of trying to break into the Sacred Palace with just the power of the Metal Vessels, Sinbad strangely calm at the prospect.

As Arba is preparing the ritual, Sinbad thinks to himself that he was too arrogant to consider himself above others, because Aladdin, Alibaba and many other people surprised him at every turn, persisting in spite of the difficulties life brings.

He wonders why he’s going to the Sacred Palace, why he’s not scared at all. And then as the gate is opened, he realized that it wasn’t for the sake of others, but just for his own desires, even starting when he entered the Baal dungeon, just wanting to show that he was superior to others.

Arba is confused as Sinbad is seemingly absorbed by the Sacred Palace’s power and we see Sinbad appearing before Solomon.

Solomon tells Sinbad that he is not a God Vessel, but Sinbad persists, saying that he’ll realize his desires and change the world even if he has to go up against a god like Solomon, the chapter ending after he’s used Djinn Equip Crocell, ready to fight with all his power.

One Piece 841

The chefs at Germa 66 wonder about who’s receiving the fancy meals they prepare, since there aren’t any guests at the castle. It’s been 6 months since Sanji was imprisoned, still getting fed the food of royalty

We see him eating after the mask is temporarily unlocked as he hears Judge praising his other siblings. Sanji remembers his pursuit of cooking from youth, connected to helping his mother, who was very sick. His mother truly appreciated his food in spite of it being damaged or dirtied from taking it through the rain and across a long distance to get there.

Sanji then slowly improved his cooking skills and learned of All Blue

His siblings learn that his death was faked, Ichiji, Niji and Yonji beating him to a pulp again. Reiju explains that she’s not like them, successful in her physical modifications as well, but retaining the ability to have sympathy for others, unlike her 3 other brothers

Sanji is told that Germa 66 will be invading East Blue soon and asks Reiju to help him escape so he can become a chef. She reluctantly breaks the bars on his cell with her strength, letting him free himself and using the distraction of the assault to get away.

But Sanji is discovered by Judge, moving to fight his father. Judge reveals that he intentionally imprisoned him, seemingly wanting him to become more like the commoner he regarded him as. And with Sanji wanting to escape, Judge fully approves, wanting him to leave of his own volition. But he asks Sanji to never identify himself as a son of the Vinsmokes, still viewing him as an utter failure.

Reiju encourages Sanji, distraught at this revelation, to get up and run to a nearby cruise ship and flee from Germa 66, thinking he will find someone who treats him with kindness, unlike his own family.

We return to the present, Reiju talking to Sanji about how he came back and is still fighting a futile battle against his family, all for the sake of bonds she can’t fully understand.

The chapter ends as we see Luffy has been eating Cracker’s soldiers for the past 11 hours, running the Sweet Commander’s stamina down and insisting that he’ll keep on to meet up with Sanji.

Toriko 389

We see Aimaru marveling at the ingredients being spawned before him in Area 0.

It turns out Area 0 is deep under the earth’s surface, most people drained of all energy before they can even reach it. But Aimaru being a germivore and having control over the microbes in his body, was able to adapt and survive. It’s also said that he didn’t realize the true source of his survival was great Food Luck.

The flavor bursting forth from the ingredients seems to be the source of CENTER itself, Aimaru realizing the planet itself is in great danger from Acacia.

We shift back to Acacia’s attempt to crush the planet, Midora using Minority World, Acacia just opening the hand to counter that.

Midora blasts away the hand with a barrage of Gourmet Lasers, manifesting his Gourmet Cell Demon finally.

Acacia manifests even more hands to crush things, but Midora points out that he needs to be concerned with himself as Toriko attacks Acacia, a pack of Battle Wolves also swarming the Gourmet God.

Brunch moves Komatsu and friends out of danger, complimenting the chef of his preparation of GOD. But Komatsu says he has the Food Spirits to thank, Brunch insisting it’s his Food Luck that allowed him to do so.

Komatsu notes how he was told by his Gourmet Cell Demon that Toriko and the others can avoid being taken over by their Gourmet Cell Demons if they eat the compatible ingredients they’ve discerned over their lives in the Full Courses unique to each of them. The Rainbow Fruit, the first major ingredient in Toriko’s Full Course he ate, was one of those compatible ingredients.

Brunch is reassured with that knowledge, but is confused as to why Acacia’s become so monstrous, consuming the Battle Wolves.

Midora blasts Acacia with Food Luck as PAIR appears behind Toriko, suddenly striking him.

He explains that what he was truly doing with the data on NEO was not regarding its capture level, but explaining the color of its Gourmet Cells, which are black, like a dark abyss of its hunger, and its preferences, the major one being despair.

But there is also a flavor he hates, that of anger and PAIR is now cooking Toriko’s body in a way to bring anger to the surface and use that strong emotion to feed NEO and destroy him.

We see Acacia consume the Food Luck, even something like that just another ingredient to him as he punches Midora with another Gourmet Punch, the chapter ending on the possibility of Midora being defeated.

Fairy Tail 503

Lucy awakens, realizing that she’s bound with Magic Sealing Stone. Dimaria explains how she was in a similar situation previously. She counters Lucy’s claim of her being cruel to Brandish by accusing her of breaking the person she knew before, making her kind rather than cruel.

Dimaria teleports with her time freezing powers over to Natsu, revealing she had removed Lucy’s top, exposing her as she moves to do the same to Natsu, though she wonders if he’s already dead.

She teleports again, moving to stab out Lucy’s eyes, hating how beautiful they are.

Lucy is defiant, Dimaria wondering why she isn’t panicking. The Stellar Spirit Mage counters that she’s not afraid, that she’ll remember all the things she’s seen even if she loses her sight, saying that Dimaria doesn’t have the guts to do it.

As Dimaria moves to scar Lucy’s face, we shift forward abruptly.

Lucy’s restraints have been broken, blood on her face from hitting her head after the chair she was on was shattered. And we see Dimaria burned slightly as she’s frozen in fear, talking about a monster, which is hinted to be Natsu, nowhere to be seen as his chair is empty.

Dimaria comments how Natsu was able to move in her stopped time, thinking his power as END is truly fearsome.

Poryluscia and Brandish appear, moving to bind Dimaria so she can’t use her powers anymore. Fairy Tail’s apothecary explains that the tumor was something else, since after Brandish enlarged it with her magic, it somehow awakened something in Natsu, something sinister and evil.

The chapter ends as Natsu is moving towards Zeref, his demonic power manifesting and Gray appearing before him as the two’s fight begins.
