Black Clover 80
Yami takes Asta to a doctor, who’s
revealed to be the one that serves directly under the Wizard King, having
reattached Yami’s severed arms (meaning he may have treated Fuegoleon’s recent
injury as well). The Shadow Mage leaves to gamble and entrusts Asta’s care to
his old friend.
The doctor uses Water Healing Magic
to observe Asta’s injuries. As Finral moves to find Asta and Yami, he overhears
something that the doctor also tells Asta, though we don’t know what it is.
Later, Yami explains that with all
the good performance the Black Bulls have done, their gold stars are at 0
rather than in the negative, so he buys them a feast. Asta has learned to eat
with his feet to Noelle’s disappointment, since she wanted to feed him.
After the various hijinks, Asta
leaves early, the others confused.
Finral reveals what the doctor said,
Asta’s arms damaged so much by Vett’s Curse Magic that they cannot be repaired
with even the highest order of healing magic.
Asta’s sitting by himself, thinking
about the difficulties before him, but he’s still resolved to not give up,
inspiring the others.
The chapter ends as we see Vanessa
commenting that there may be a kingdom that can heal his arms, possibly the one
connected to her family.
Boku no Hero Academia 109
The group remembers how they did a
similar rescue operation test previously in class with All Might as their
teacher.
We find out those old people and
even children are part of a group called the HUC, the Help Us Company,
professional rescuees who were hired by the Hero Association for the purposes
of the test. They’re inserted into this test and they will serve as the
challenge.
Iida and Deku note that this might
be modeled after Kamino’s incident, because the goal will be to prevent such
casualties while rescuing people in the area with such damage and risks.
Sero tells Mineta and Kaminari about
Deku’s incident with the Shiketsu girl, named Kemii (at least from what I could
tell from previous chapters and the raws, we still need confirmation directly),
frustrating the two perverts as they yell at Deku, who tries to say it wasn’t
like what they think it was. She smiles at him as they look over, only making
the situation worse.
Meanwhile, Bakugou is approached by
other Shiketsu students, who apologize for Shishikura being rude to him, since
they want to establish a good rapport with Yuuei.
Todoroki stops Inasa, asking if he
has a problem with him, the Shiketsu student responding that he hates both him
and his father Endeavor, noting how their eyes are the same in spite of
Todoroki’s change in personality.
Everyone starts to split up as the
scenario begins, the landscape changing as well to reflect the situation of
severe damage from an imagined enemy terrorist attack on a city.
Deku’s group encounters a child, who
harshly judges them for not assessing the situation more precisely, especially
as to their physical status. The
Shiketsu students seem better trained at this by comparison to Yuuei, Aizawa
admitting this to Ms. Joke.
They emphasize how Heroes need to
serve as a comfort for victims rather than just focusing on rescuing and relief
in a general sense, Yuuei’s Class 1-A falling behind in this test in contrast
to Shiketsu.
Deku resolves himself to follow in
All Might’s footsteps here, always serving as a stronghold of confidence and
making sure people are all right, others following suit.
Ochako thinks to herself she can’t
let her feelings for Deku distract her, moving to shut them down and focus on
the task at hand.
The chapter ends as we see that
there is some other challenge waiting for the students in the second half of
this provisional Hero license exam.
Seven Deadly Sins 194
Dreyfus and Griamore embrace, the
Holy Knight overjoyed to see his son again. Hendricksen says he’ll explain why
Griamore looks like a child later, welcoming his old friend back.
They hug as well, Dreyfus moving to
Zaratras, since he seems to be in a bad state after using the Purge power with
such intensity.
Zaratras forgives his brother,
knowing now that he was under the manipulations of a demon, so weak willed
himself he didn’t do anything to help Dreyfus.
He says they should not be so sad
with him passing, but accept their faults and move on to help the world in his
place. Zaratras leaves this world as his body slowly turns to light, telling
them to convey his concern for Gilthunder and that he will watch over him.
As they resolve to pass on this
message, Fraudrin gloats, saying they will not get to do so.
The damage from Dreyfus’ attack was
nullified by the demon using his magic power of Full Size, growing to gigantic
size.
He tries to stomp them, but is
interrupted by Merlin appearing before him, with Howser and the others apart
from Dreyfus in the Perfect Cube.
Fraudrin moves to attack again, but
is pummeled back, Meliodas the one who struck him to the Demon’s shock.
Meliodas and Fraudrin continue to fight, seemingly an even match in physical
might, neither getting a clear advantage.
Merlin notes something is off about
the power level of Meliodas, the true level supposedly higher.
It turns out Meliodas used the power
of Lostvayne to clone himself, his true power level now at 60000, which baffles
Fraudrin, who wasn’t seemingly aware that Meliodas could use such a power
But the chapter concludes as
Meliodas notes how he enjoys seeing Fraudrin’s hope turn to despair and seeing
his face twisted in horror as it is, Dreyfus thinking this cannot truly be
Meliodas.
Magi 322
Correction: it’s not Solomon that
Sinbad is directly fighting against, it’s Ugo. Should’ve noticed that detail,
esp. since Solomon was established to have basically become imbedded in the
universe itself with what he did to fight against Ill Illah in the Alma Torran
arc
Sinbad, in Crocell’s Djinn Equip,
slashes through the creatures Ugo mobilizes to defend the Sacred Palace.
He emphasizes how his goal was
merely to change the world, not to protect it or the like. He’s willing to
stake his life, using Vepar to attack with even greater force than before.
But some of the defenders have
magical shields, Sinbad changing his Djinn Equip to Furfur to pierce through
them. He feels like he’s finally removed a burden from his shoulders, ready to
reach the Sacred Palace.
Ugo, however, stops him with a slap
of his giant hand, saying that he will not pass him, even saying that he cannot
think he will succeed as a mere human as the chapter ends on their conflict
starting directly
One Piece 842
We see Cracker summoning more
biscuit soldiers, lashing out at Baum for his disloyalty and Nami for summoning
rain, which allowed Luffy to eat the otherwise inedible cookie constructs. Baum
and the others still reluctantly obey Nami’s orders, even accepting that they
are basically her servants at this point as long as she holds the Vivre card.
Nami summons her Weather Egg to
drench the biscuit soldiers again, Luffy at the edge of being unable to eat
anymore of them, but he persists.
Meanwhile, Chopper and Carrot are
running from Brulee in her Mirror World, shocking people as they pass by them
in their reflections in the Sweet Capital.
We shift to Sanji getting healed by
Reiju, though it’s only a temporary fix for the swelling of his face. She
insists he shouldn’t have come back, asking where he got this notion of
chivalry from.
Sanji remembers Zeff teaching him
such a concept of not hitting women, saying that it’s just the way it is and
has been since ancient times. He tells Sanji he can screw up as a person all he
wants, but he can never fail as a man, leaving the discussion at that.
The Germa 66 group leaves for the
gift exchange, the carriage pulled by a giant cat.
Luffy and Nami’s battle persists,
Cracker moving to stab Luffy full of holes. But Luffy engages Gear 4th again,
this time called Tank Man.
Cracker tries to stab Luffy with
Honey Pretzel, but Luffy seems to absorb the blow, capturing him in folds of
his overstuffed self.
The chapter ends as Luffy bounces
him back with the reflected force with Gum Gum Cannon Ball, seemingly defeating
the Biscuit Man once and for all.
One Piece is on break next week.
Toriko 390
Midora is seemingly defeated, PAIR
remembering how he sensed something odd in Acacia in the past, connected to the
Nitro.
But Midora is further enraged and
fights back after Acacia taunts him regarding his love for Frohze. Acacia is
pinned down and Midora pummels him with enough force that the earth takes even
more damage.
Acacia, however, manages to bite off
Midora’s hand, but this doesn’t faze him in the slightest, continuing to wail
on his adoptive father.
Acacia manages to free himself from
the assault, both of them clashing with their fists as another explosion
results.
Midora’s left arm is blown off, but
he just utilizes Hungry Whip, slapping the earth with a barrage of tongue
lashes
But Acacia’s power from NEO
manifests again and he eats Midora’s tongue, stabbing him through the torso
with a piece of him that begins to eat Midora’s body.
Toriko steps in and cuts away the
tentacle, even eating it as he turns Acacia’s speech about NEO being at the top
of the food chain back on him, now NEO being the one eaten.
After Toriko attacks Acacia with
concentrated rage in his fist, Midora wonders if they can beat him, Toriko
explaining that Acacia’s been slowly worn down by Midora’s attacks as well, holding
nothing but pure rage in them.
But the earth suddenly starts to
react, it’s cooking nearly complete as the climax of this conflict has finally
begin.
Acacia and Toriko square off, Acacia
claiming whoever wins is the closest to being a god, while Toriko retorts that
it’s just who has the bigger appetite.
The chapter ends as we go to the
Back Channel, where Ichiryuu’s soul is still investigating NEO’s body, shocked
as he sees a mass of Nitro bodies appearing.
Fairy Tail 504
Gray tries to talk with Natsu, but END has pushed
him to a point of no return
Invel explains to Gray about why the Demons of Zeref
were created, to kill the immortal mage, END the greatest of them. And all of
them have an instinct to kill their master imbedded in them from birth.
The two rivals stand off, Gray thinking how Natsu is
connected to something that killed his father, his adoptive mother, even Juvia,
and that he will stop Natsu here and now.
Their clash creates a massive explosion, neither of
them backing down from this fight.
Meanwhile, Brandish is recovering, her ability to
shrink wounds only stopping the immediate risk, the damage from them still
remaining. She notes how there is still doubt in her heart, Lucy thinking it’s
fine as long as she can push past it and grow as a person. Lucy leaves to find
Natsu as we move back to the main battle
Natsu pushes back Gray, saying that nothing will
stop him from killing Zeref. He flashes back to his confusion, like Gray, at
someone he cared about supposedly being dead, when he thought Lucy had been
killed by Dimaria, which drove him to where he is now.
We shift to the fight with Fairy Tail’s main forces
against Alvareth’s, Erza just managing to push past the intimidating numbers
before them, Makarov worn out.
But suddenly, Eileen’s magical eye appears in the
sky again, saying that she will find Mavis again and finish what she started.
Mavis replies that she is not running away,
manifesting a massive illusion of herself, which encourages her guild to fight,
inspiring them.
The chapter ends as Eileen remains furious at how
Mavis is able to counter her so well.
