Black Clover 78
Bell the Sylph is jealous of how
friendly Asta and Yuno are, even shocked when he reveals how close they were in
the orphanage.
Charmy is acting lovestruck in her
own way, but Bell thinks she’s harmless until Yuno says something she
misinterprets as him forcing himself on her.
She thinks Charmy must’ve charmed
Yuno with magic, but the Cotton Mage responds she’s older than Yuno and doesn’t
need magic, both of them insisting the other is too immature physically to do
so.
Rangils appears, noticing Finral and
still berating him as the failure of their family, which frustrates Asta.
The Golden Dawn’s vice captain
thinks that the Black Bulls don’t have anything to contribute to the battle
with the enemies all being beaten by William.
But Rangils provokes Finral by
saying that the Black Bulls seem to have become an orphanage, regarding Charmy
and Asta as children, Finral retorting that he can make fun of him all he
wants, but he won’t get away with insulting his teammates.
Suddenly, the Slime Mage from before
appears, swearing to take out Rangils.
With the way he’s set things up, the
hostages would be harmed by Rangil’s magic. He moves to sacrifice them to take
out the enemy, but Finral stops him.
The Black Bulls combine their
abilities, Charmy flinging Asta at the enemy, Finral teleporting him and Asta
pulling out his anti magic sword with his mouth and attacking the enemy. Finral
moves him behind the Slime Mage with another teleport, Asta finishing him off
with a second attack, as Rangils is impressed with their capacities as Finral
says they’ll match up to the Golden Dawn soon.
The chapter ends as Yami compliments
William on his Yggdrasil Magic, asking him to take off the mask, thinking
there’s something off and trusting his gut instinct.
Boku no Hero Academia 107
Bakugou’s attack, which is a
specialized version of his AP Cannon from before, knocks the mysterious
Shiketsu student’s Quirk back at him
He still insists that Bakugou doesn’t
understand that he should behave in a manner fitting for his standing as a
student of Yuuei, but Bakugou just presses forward.
Kaminari fires off some projectiles,
but this barely distracts the student as he had set up one of his bizarre Quirk
fingers to attack Bakugou, crumpling him up like Kirishima.
Shishikura thinks that society
should try to have more Heroes after All Might’s retirement, but that the exam
is trying to weed out the weaker to create a showing of the best Heroes
possible, which is why he’s showing his own power to them in order to reflect
that he is one of the best.
Kaminari thinks it’s odd that he’s
not even trying to finish the exam, but Shishikura seems confident enough in
his skills as it is and tells the Lightning Hero he can’t just flash off his
attacks, since the people affected by his Quirk are still able to feel pain
Shishikura is stunned as an
explosion happens, Kaminari using a grenade-like device from Bakugou that he
lent to him in the distraction.
This puts him in a position where
Kaminari can use a new device Hatsume gave him to zap his enemies. It consists
of a target device and the connector, which allows him to direct the lightning
to that point within a range of 10 meters and even change the targets with a
dial.
Kaminari comments how Bakugou may
seem harsh, but he was avoiding the use of more dangerous explosions to keep
him and Kirishima, along with the others, safe from damage.
As Kaminari continues to damage
Shishikura, Bakugou and Kirishima are freed from the meat prisons and tag team
him with a dual attack. We see that the others are freed as well, the trio from
Yuuei ready to fight them off.
Meanwhile, Uraraka and Sero have
created a combo, making pieces of debris lightweight, attaching tape to them
and then releasing the Zero Gravity Quirk to send them crashing into the
ground, pinning down people caught under the tape as well.
This allows Deku to pass, the number
of participants who have succeed at 79 now. Mera is impressed that Yuuei hasn’t
lost a single student so far, seemingly a great deal of them having passed the
first exam.
The chapter ends as he entrusts the
second exam to a group of experienced Heroes, many of them appearing much older
and experienced, on the level of Gran Torino.
World Trigger 158
As Ouji Bails Out, he compliments
Yuma, while Hounds he placed before pierce through Yuma’s leg as he narrowly
dodges the last ditch effort.
Chika, under Osamu’s orders, targets
Oki with Lead Bullet, somewhat affecting his mobility as her own legs are taken
out from under her by his counter shot
Yuma rushes over to Oki’s position
with Grasshopper, dodging Ikoma as he does so. Oki tries to attack, but Yuma,
seeing the positioning, avoids the Sniper and takes out his Trion supply,
making him Bail Out as well.
But as Yuma tries to dodge Ikoma’s
Whirlwind Kogetsu, he’s unable to do so, the captain able to improve from
seeing the technique before using Grasshopper for a high jump.
Even as Yuma is defeated, Chika
Bails Out, ending the match with Tamakoma 2 narrowly the winner by a point,
Ikoma’s Survival Points tying them with Ouji unit.
The commentators think that Ouji had
a good flow, but Tamakoma 2 disrupted it well, protecting their Wire formation
as well.
Ouji still has to work out counter
strategies, which Tamakoma 2 has to predict as well, while Ikoma moved at their
own pace and worked with the assumption of the Wires being a threat from the
beginning, allowing them to keep up with Ouji’s strategic thinking.
Isami comments that Tamakoma 2 was
lucky Ikoma didn’t also target them or they wouldn’t have been able to get the
4 points they did. Tamakoma’s strategy relies on having fewer people target
them so they can build up the Wire zones at the start to maximize Yuma’s combat
ability. Chika also provides cover fire that ignores Shield Triggers as well.
But if any one of them is defeated
in the initial phase, they can’t establish this near unbeatable formation,
Chika and Osamu the weak links here compared to Yuma.
With this in mind, they require
another vanguard, someone to serve as a front to keep the two weaker members
safe relative to the positions they appear in relative to each Rank War battle.
The chapter ends as we see Hyuse, likely hinted at being that part of
Tamakoma-2’s strategy in the future.
Seven Deadly Sins 192
Merlin is eager to experiment on
Greyroad, though Guila brings up that they need to help the other people
affected by his demonic egg power.
Fraudrin moves to retreat, blasting
those who pursue him.
But he sees that Hendricksen has
managed to catch up, his Acid Tower attack failing.
Fruadrin tries to attack him again,
Hendricksen tricking him with a smokescreen from the Acid Tower and using Purge
on him
But Fraudrin knocks him away, his
power insufficient to purify the Commandment.
The two clash again, but Hendricksen
is still too weak against Fraudrin utilizing Dreyfus’ skill and power. The
Selflessness says there’s nothing the two of them can do to redeem themselves
from the sins they’ve committed, but Hendricksen says that they’ll decide that,
not him.
Before Fraudrin can finish
Hendricksen off, he’s attacked by a lightning strike of massive proportions.
They think it’s Gilthunder, but it’s
actually Zaratras, Hendricksen in disbelief at his superior being alive after
he was killed before his eyes.
The two pair up to fight Fraudrin
and free Dreyfus, Fraudrin thinking they can’t bring themselves to kill their
friend
The chapter ends as Hendricksen
thinks it’s impossible to exorcise Fraudrin’s soul with Purge, but Zaratras has
another plan in mind.
Magi 320
Arba explains that there is another
way to get to the Sacred Palace besides using Solomon’s Wisdom: the Metal
Vessels. Since they’re based on the Sacred Staves that connected people to the
power of God and the World Hole made above Magnostadt is still open, Sinbad,
being a Singularity of great power, could aid with his connection to David’s
knowledge.
The only problem is the lack of
magoi, of which they need a great amount of it to open the Sacred Palace by
force.
Sinbad thinks that things aren’t
that simple, even doubting his status as a Singularity, since he can’t hear
David. Arba merely thinks that means he’s advancing beyond that, and if he
could acquire the power of the Sacred Palace, he’d become a being able to
control the Rukh to his will.
Arba insists they can still do the
ritual even with the little magoi they have, but the success rate is very low
and if they fail, they’ll likely cease to be.
Sinbad asks her why she’s pushing
him towards this path, thinking that she’s desperate with her power being
drained by Aladdin’s efforts along with Hakuryuu and the others. She disappears
in frustration at what he says.
Jafar sees Sinbad getting dressed in
the middle of the night, asking him to try and stop Kou from leaving the
International Alliance, since he fears they might create more chaos and ruin
all that Sinbad achieved in the past 3 years.
But Sinbad says they don’t need to
focus on that, since even with the success they have now, they cannot hope to
preserve the peace into the distant future of a thousand years. So instead, he
says he’ll be trying the method Arba suggested and fundamentally change the
world’s foundations to make it peaceful for a longer time by comparison to his
machinations now.
Jafar says that Sinbad has become
foolish and too focused on the future: they fully admit that they cannot
preserve things forever with their actions, but they trust that their pursuits
will bear fruit and people in the future will seek to change things as well if
war comes again between countries.
As a King Vessel, Sinbad has a great
power that he has shown in contributing to the peace that exists now. Jafar
insists Sinbad should not ignore the present to protect some possible future.
Sinbad agrees with Jafar, thinking
that he might’ve been too arrogant in regarding himself as a god.
But the chapter ends as he still
persists in doing it against Jafar’s wishes, going with Arba to unlock the
Sacred Palace with the ritual that may end his life.
One Piece 840
Yonji explains that the people in
the tubes are in fact Germa 66’s soldiers, manufactured with their advanced
science. Judge once worked alongside Vegapunk and discovered what was called
the lineage factor, a way to engineer people, close to comprehending the nature
of life itself.
The World Government discovered this
and arrested Vegapunk, but Judge managed to avoid it and continued his
experiments independently and achieved what the Germa 66 has now, an army of
Clone Pawns with bases of great soldiers in history.
With this power, they have created
an army that inspires both fear and envy in other countries, only 5 years
required to generate a soldier of full maturity at 20 years old.
Ichiji and Niji come in as well,
commenting that they thought Sanji might mature as a pirate in the real world,
but he became worse in their eyes
Sanji attacks Niji, knowing he was
the one who attacked Cosette. But they counter that he should watch what he
does, since they can still kill Zeff and the others are Baratie at a moment’s
notice.
Niji counters with a move that seems
to resemble Soru’s speed and knocks Sanji down with Electromotive, a similar
technique to what Judge used before, generating electricity to enhance the attack.
Sanji is told that he should
remember the hierarchy of their family, that he was a failure even in the past
as we see a flashback.
Judge tells his children how special
they are, that they will become rulers of his new world order after training.
But Sanji falls short, the scientists commenting that in spite of his genes
being modified, he is just a normal human, while his siblings have matured
faster and become more powerful, like adults in their physical and mental
capacity.
Sanji is told that he must continue
to work harder, but he still fails, eventually being locked away, his death
faked and Germa 66 treating him as if he never existed, the chapter ending on
his imprisonment by Judge.
Toriko 388
Acacia mocks Toriko’s tearful
interaction with his Gourmet Cell Demon, Midora stunned that it fed itself to
its host instead of consuming it.
As Acacia rushes forward and attacks
Toriko, he’s suddenly attacked himself, the force knocking him across the earth’s
diameter and back to where Toriko is.
The power of GOD flowing through
Toriko impresses him, feeling as if he’s grown up and the earth is now much
smaller in perspective
Now that he’s eaten the main dish of
his Full Course, the only thing left is NEO, the meat dish.
The Eight Kings are mostly recovering,
only Bambina recovered enough to support Toriko after eating GOD.
Toriko hears Komatsu’s voice,
telling him that GOD is finished, but he doesn’t want to eat it first,
preferring to have others eat before him. But Coco and the others, recovered
after Chichi’s assistance, say that he should be the first to eat it.
GOD opens its mouth, Komatsu,
Nakaume and Ootake walking out.
Acacia thinks everyone’s too
confident that things are now in their favor, but is surprised as we see Midora
has stabilized Starjun before he died with Knocking.
The Gourmet God asks the others why
they eat. He thinks it’s not just to survive or to pass on their genes to their
descendants, but ultimately because appetite drives us to. That selfish nature
is why sharing food with others is not the true reason for eating to Acacia,
because otherwise it would run counter to appetite’s egotism.
Any emotions are distractions from
appetite, seeking out new flavors that enrich life and further the desire that
appetite is, all consuming and eternal. Fear is the only thing that Acacia
thinks enhances flavor in any meaningful way, his love for Frohze nothing compared
to the appetite that he thinks was what even spawned Toriko and Starjun.
Acacia moves to crush the earth, his
appetite such that he can manifest a hand to crush it in one fell swoop as
everyone is paralyzed in disbelief. PAIR warns them not to despair as we shift
elsewhere.
The chapter ends as we see Aimaru
pass into Area 0, surrounded by a cornucopia of ingredients.
Fairy Tail 502
As Eileen is still drawing Fairy Heart from Mavis,
Zeref walks in and demands to have a final conversation with her. She
begrudgingly accepts, in spite of thinking that it’s foolish, since they’re so
close to the end.
But it turns out that the Zeref requesting that and
the Mavis before her are an illusion, which explains why it was taking her so
long to extract the magic.
Mavis is moving out to meet the guild, though with
the army in between her and the rest of her friends, it seems much more
difficult. Mest appears, offering his services to transport her there.
Meanwhile, Jet and Droy are having a trying time
against the army, but Gajeel appears to support them, regarding Levy’s allies
as his own now. Pantherlily also comes to assist, impressed at his master’s
change of heart.
Levy arrives, kicking Gajeel in the face, mad at him
for making her think he was dead. He’ll back up his promise and take her back
to the guild.
Zera is watching this, spotted by Jet. They notice
that she’s becoming transparent, which means Mavis is slowly remembering things
and Zera will soon disappear completely, Mavis’ friend trying to soften the
blow by saying she’s been dead for 100 years, so there’s no need for Levy and
the others to be so sad.
Mavis realizes that it was Zera who brought everyone
together, her mind seeing a vision of Zera merging with her, the two friends
becoming one as they support the guild they founded together.
She tells Mest that with things as they are, they’re
now ready to move on and retake their guild from Alvareth, Gajeel’s group also
encouraged by the promise of learning about Fairy Tail’s past from Mavis.
The chapter ends as we see Lucy and Natsu taken
captive by Dimaria, who promises to torture them. But Brandish is told by
Porlyusica that Natsu’s tumor is something worse than anti magic particles,
that danger even more prominent now.
