Black Clover 66

We see Gauche having difficulty fighting one of Vett’s subordinates, thinking he’s strong in being able to defeat one of his doubles.

The mage pushes him back and seemingly is ready to finish him off, but it turns out it was a double the whole time, Gauche blasting the mage in the back with Large Reflect Ray.

It’s further revealed that Gray used his transformation magic to trick the enemy into thinking he was Gauche. He’s exhausted from using the ability, Gauche having to carry him elsewhere so they can find the others to fight.

They find Charmy sleeping, observing that she still has power to fight

Before they can move to wake her up, they’re bound by vines. Gauche thinks he has to do something, but almost forgets Asta’s advice that they can’t forget the bonds they have as teammates

The mage in question reveals that he has Trap Magic, stealing the powers of others, it seems. He’s draining the magic of one of the Temple Knights as he gloats about how his strategy just required waiting until they stepped into one of his snares so he can slowly kill them.

Gauche plots a quick scheme with Gray, the Transformation Mage using his power to transform a rock into meat behind the Trap Mage.

Gauche then screams out that someone’s trying to steal Charmy’s meat, the Cotton Mage getting up from her slumber.

The sheer magnitude of her mana paralyzes the mage with fear at first. As she attacks, his traps activate, but her Sleeping Sheep ignores them, smashing him three times and finishing him off almost instantly.

Charmy bites the rock, realizing it’s not meat after being tricked.

Gauche tells Gray that since the enemy doesn’t know he can transform other things, they might be able to use that to their advantage.

As Charmy moves to head off, Gray’s transformation wears off, their true form much more feminine, almost androgynous with the short hair.

They’re mortified and embarrassed at people seeing their true form, Gauche ignoring them as he looks at a picture of Marie, while Charmy thinks they’re cute, shocked that they’re older than she is as the chapter ends.

Boku no Hero Academia 95

We see that things are still quite chaotic the next day. Investigators for the police aren’t able to dig deeper into the Noumu’s composition or the like because the warehouse was destroyed completely by All For One.

One of the police says that the warehouse might’ve been a fake, since it was too obvious and not the best environment for biological experiments. They’re still trying to get info about the Villains from the bar.

Someone suggests this was a tie, since All For One was captured, but another says that they lost the Symbol of Peace. With people having seen All Might’s weakened form, the trust he had from the citizens and the fear he inspired in the Villains is gone.

Also, Shigaraki, in spite of initially being seen as childish, is now more competent than before with each person he adds to his group. The sheer threat the League of Villains poses is such that the police think they need to radically change their ways.

Meanwhile, All Might explains to Gran Torino and Tsukauchi how he no longer has any of One For All’s power.

The issue of Shigaraki being Nana Shimura’s grandson still bothers them. It turns out Shigaraki’s parent was given up to a foster family by All Might’s mentor to keep them safe from Villains.

Gran Torino warns All Might to not try to get involved with Shigaraki, since he’s too involved and partial in regards to his relation to Nana Shimura.

He and Tsukauchi will handle investigating Shigaraki, while All Might focuses on his teaching duties at Yuuei and training Deku.

Deku’s group meets up, Bakugou being escorted and questioned by the police. The next day, they head off their own separate ways

Todoroki arrives at his home, his sister worried about him. But Endeavor is especially frustrated, his training room a mess as he cannot accept being the #1 Hero because of All Might’s injury he kept secret from most people.

Deku returns home as well, falling asleep, exhausted from everything. He wakes up to a message, running out the door in spite of his mother saying dinner’s ready.

He goes to the beach where he first trained with All Might, his mentor punching him as he chastises his student for acting out of turn.

But he still praises him for improving as much as he has, since he got out of the last situation unscathed. All Might explains that he cannot fight anymore, not even able to maintain his muscular form for even a few moments before coughing up blood.

Instead, he’ll focus on Deku’s development and make him his true successor.

Deku weeps with the realization that All Might is no longer the Symbol of Peace or the #1 Hero, All Might’s embrace only emphasizing this as their training begins anew with the goal to make him the next One For All Hero. The chapter ends on this moment of deep anguish and the changing of the generations.

World Trigger 147

Tamakoma 2 is having a celebration dinner, Tamakoma 1 complimenting their protégés for their success.

Yotaro announces that Hyuse is willing to join, Konami shocked at this development

Hyuse explains that this was his agreement with Jin: if they take him to Aftokrator on the away squad, he’ll assist them. Konami still thinks this is suspicious, given his loyalties.

Yuma observes that Hyuse isn’t lying when he says he doesn’t care about Chika anymore, his priority to get back to Aftokrator.

Chika tries to say they shouldn’t make this about her, but Konami objects, saying that Chika needs to have more confidence in her importance.

Konami thinks they don’t necessarily need Hyuse, but the Neighbor says that there are still weaknesses in the team, particularly Chika’s inability to shoot people. Not to mention that there’s still a dependence on Yuma as the ace, Hyuse suggesting that he’ll become their second ace.

Osamu thinks it’s definitely a boon for them to add Hyuse to their team, though he’s worried about people recognizing him by his horns.

Usami says they’ll just change the Trion body so the horns don’t appear. But they still need an explanation of his origins, Jin saying that they could say he’s a relative of their Engineer, Michael Cronin, who looks like a foreigner as well, considered Canadian in citizenship.

He’s actually a Neighbor as well, surprising the others slightly, especially Yuma.

The major issue is getting the administrators to accept Hyuse’s presence as an enemy Neighbor in the new arrangement as a member of Tamakoma 2

Hyuse reminds them of one requirement: he will not say anything about Aftokrator to them as a result of this relationship. Konami is frustrated, but Yuma reminds them that he doesn’t need to say anything, because they already got info from Enedora.

He will only go with them on the condition that they don’t do anything that would endanger his master, otherwise he’ll just take them down along with the ship

The responsibility falls on Osamu to figure out how to convince the higher ups, accepting Hyuse’s agreement in spite of the difficulty it presents in terms of loyalty to Border and the like

The chapter concludes as the meeting with Kidou and the others begins with Osamu’s group being the first to present their position

Seven Deadly Sins 179-180

Arthur slashes down a Gray Demon, to the praise of his supporters. They say that with his strength, they still have hope to take down the Demon Tribe. But Arthur insists he didn’t do it alone, complimenting Nanashi for his contributions.

The samurai observes that as long as the odd cat creature is on his shoulder, he will be safe.

The group retreats as reinforcements arrive and Arthur is shocked to hear the cat on his shoulder talk for the first time

We shift elsewhere to a Holy Knight in the Forest of White Dreams, having escaped people trying to offer his soul to the Ten Commandments. He thinks he’s safe here, but he sees some shadow and thinks he’s going to die.

But he awakens to find that it’s the Boar’s Hat, Elizabeth providing service there for patrons

The next chapter begins as we see people talking about rumors of a Wandering Knight in sparkling armor.

Elizabeth is still clumsy in serving, but they forgive her because of her beauty, Hawk thinking she’s only slightly improved

The Holy Knight awakens, recognizing Elizabeth and Hawk from the battle at Liones. He leaves, asking briefly about the situation, the pair explaining that the Boar’s Hat is a mobile bar.

But his stomach grumbles, Elizabeth feeding him a soup that tastes awful, the knight persisting in eating it because he’s hungry

Hawk reveals that the Holy Knight is Golgius, a Holy Knight encountered by Meliodas and Elizabeth a while ago who can make himself invisible.

He wonders why they treated him so kindly in spite of knowing who he was, Elizabeth saying it was the kindness she learned from Meliodas and practiced herself.

But Golgius thinks they don’t have any real effect on the world, Elizabeth responding that as long as you’re alive, you can protect those important to you and share your dreams and such with them as comrades.

Golgius leaves in a huff, thinking Elizabeth’s too optimistic, though in truth he seems to respect her

Elizabeth is happy to have met one of the Holy Knights, in spite of their differences, but we see that Meliodas’ body, seemingly unaffected by time in spite of it being a month since his death and changing little, if at all, is still in the Boar’s Hat, having recovered from the wounds, but still quite dead. Elizabeth says she can't bear a world where he isn't in it, embracing his body as she weeps.

Hawk sees a visitor, dressed in armor, which makes him panic at the possibility of it being a ghost.

But it introduces itself to Elizabeth, taking off the helmet to reveal none other than Zaratras, the captain of the Holy Knights, though to have died 10 years ago, the chapter concluding on this shocking turn of events

Magi 310

Yunan is amazed that Aladdin, Hakuryuu and Morgiana are here. Hakuryuu says he can heal the Magi’s wounds with ZAgan, but Aladdin notes that he’ll have to focus on fixing the Depravity magic cast by Arba

The Magi tries to warn Aladdin about Arba’s plans, but he says he already knows and they plan to tell Sinbad once they stop her.

He leaves fighting Arba to Morgiana and Hakuryuu, Yunan in disbelief that they would even stand a chance

Arba walks up to Morgiana, striking at her, the Fanalis dodging quite nimbly. But she lands a hit, Morgiana caught by Hakuryuu who goes into Djinn Equip mode.

Arba summons weapons to fight, Hakuryuu and Morgiana rushing to attack.

They seem to be holding their own, but they’re both stunned at Arba’s sudden skill that knocks them both back, the strength of her blows immense even for Morgiana

Yunan comments how her strength, plus her near immortal body, makes her too strong an opponent for them.

Arba moves to finish Hakuryuu off, but her arm starts to decompose at the forearm.

Hakuryuu uses Zaug Al Ahdra, Yunan recognizing the attack as utilizing bacteria from the Dark Continent, meaning his power has grown to manipulate even Alma Torran flora.

But Arba’s regeneration seems to negate the breaking down of her arms. However, Hakuryuu notes that when she’s not holding her blades, she’s vulnerable, his spear knocking her down

Morgiana taunts Arba to attack her, the Magi rushing to strike, but the Fanalis dodging expertly.

Arba continues to assault her, but Morgiana counters with her kicks and acrobatics, enabling her to have a strong advantage.

Hakuryuu explains it as Arba being inexperienced at fighting the Red Lions, the strongest and fastest in the world.

Arba is frustrated, breaking her weapon as the chapter ends on Aladdin saying that in spite of Yunan’s concerns that Arba becomes more deadly when she’s angry, that Morgiana and Hakuryuu are much stronger now.

Bleach 679

Juhabach continues to talk down to Ichigo, saying that they have a power like his, to change fate.

But he also seems to indicate that the limit of his powers is what he personally sees, meaning that, like he says, the only reason Ichigo could change things was because the Quincy King was not there

Ichigo is mocked, saying he can despair now, since Juhabach will continue to change the future that he tries to make, the Soul Reaper screaming in rage.

We shift to Jugram’s fight with Uryuu, explaining the nature of his Schrift, B, the Balance. It takes misfortune that occurs in his sphere of influence and distributes it to those that have great fortune instead.

And with the Freund Schild, Substitute Shield, he has which can take any misfortune that would happen to him otherwise, he’s all but invincible.

But Uryuu is confident he can win, asking Jugram if he wants to see his Schrift. The Balance thinks it will just be a waste of time, but Uryuu retorts that it’s the perfect moment.

He explains that his Schrift is not the Almighty, but the Antithesis, Jugram’s body heavily injured

The power is able to reverse anything that has happened between 2 designated targets, Uryuu’s body now healed, while Jugram’s has taken the damage he dealt to the Quincy.

Jugram is impressed, saying such a power could even undermine Juhabach’s.

But he also says that it’s a poor match for his Balance, taking the damage and redirecting it to Uryuu and inflicting even more damage by utilizing the misfortune that transferred to his shield as well, doing even more damage than would’ve been done just by the initial Balance of fate.

Jugram moves to finish Uryuu off, thinking he was pathetic and reflects those human foibles of clinging to their beliefs, slashing his sword down.

Shifting over to Ichigo’s fight with Juhabach, he’s still being beaten and battered.

He cannot even fight back anymore, Juhabach saying that Ichigo must now give back the power he was given by the Quincy King, the chapter ending on this threat to our protagonist

One Piece 830

We flashback to Jinbe speaking to the various Fishpeople and Merpeople about how he wishes to join Luffy’s crew, since he thinks he will radically change the world.

They accept his decision, Jinbe shocked at their willingness to understand. But they respond that he’s made so many sacrifices, previously a member of King Neptune’s army before he became a pirate and only becoming a Shichibukai to advance the status of Fishpeople in the world.

And they even understand why he joined Big Mom’s crew as a subordinate, always thinking of others before himself. They encourage him to be selfish for once in his life and follow his desires.

Of course, they admit it might make things awkward, especially for Aladine, who’s married into Big Mom’s family already, not to mention she might take her rage out on Jinbe’s crew as a whole

Aladine’s wife, Praline, comes in, having heard some of the conversation and worried that her husband may abandon her. They placate her, saying they can work something out.

Jinbe asks her if she thinks they’d really be in danger to leave Mom’s crew, the half fishperson saying that no one who’s tried has lived to this day.

Back at Whole Cake Island, Muscato is being picked up, some mysterious blobs being told to stay behind for some reason.

And at Sweet Island, Big Mom is a bit taken aback by Jinbe’s request, but seems to understand.

However, she still says that this is a shame to her status and thus Jinbe should lose something in return, bringing out a roulette wheel.

Shifting over to Luffy’s group, we see that they’ve fought off some giant ants and are trying to melt their way out of some sweet syrup that the sea around them has intermixed with.

Pedro explains how he had his ship completely eaten by the ants once, Luffy asking about when he was here before.

He used to be a pirate himself, traveling with Pekoms until they got to Big Mom’s territory, parting ways then.

The Mink is impressed that Luffy was so influential, able to motivate Catviper and Dogstorm to show him the Road Poneglyph, since the last people outside the Kozuki clan to see it were Gol D. Roger and his crew.

He also suggests to Luffy that this would be the best time to get access to Big Mom’s Poneglyph, since after this, they will meet Kaidou and get his Poneglyph to nearly complete their map to Raftel.

The ants start to awaken as we shift forward, Luffy’s crew arriving at Whole Cake Island proper as the chapter ends.

Toriko 376

We see the Capture Levels of the 8 Kings, ranging from 6000 to 6600.

Guinness makes an attempt to smash Acacia, the shockwave resonating through the continent.

But NEO manages to react in time, eating the Battle Wolf’s paw halfway.

In spite of this injury, as Acacia uses Gourmet Punch, Guinness grabs it, wanting vengeance for its fallen son Jirou, slamming Acacia into the ground and throwing him up in the air

Derous moves to blast him, both the Red and Blue Oni retreating back into Toriko, since they have a limited time to manifest.

But before the Blue Nitro can attack Derous, Teppei wraps him in Tree of Binding Chains.

Derous fires his laser, NEO unable to devour its sheer power and Joa’s Sky Slicer not even stopping it as we see it fire into space afterwards

Joa is frustrated further by Starjun telling him to focus on fighting the Gourmet Corps chef instead of trying to protect NEO/Acacia

As the Blue Nitro gets out of Teppei’s trap, he sees Whale King Moon surfacing nearby, wondering if he intends to suck everything into him

The chapter ends as NEO/Acacia decides to try to finish off GOD first, ignoring the others somehow.

Fairy Tail 490

The chapter begins as it describes Fiore engulfed in light by Eileen’s spell

We flashback to Mavis learning of Zera being an illusion and coming to terms with this. Zera says that this isn’t goodbye as she bids farewell to her friend.

Mavis awakens, still in the guild as it’s shaken by some earthquake or great force. She manages to make clothes with her illusion magic.

Entering the guild proper from the basement, Mavis is shocked to see Zeref.

He explains that he didn’t make this situation, none of Fairy Tail at the guild for some reason. The Black Mage is also confused at Mavis being alive

Meanwhile, Natsu and Lucy are okay after the Fire Dragon Slayer explains how he somehow weakened August’s blast. They’re confused as to why they’re in an unfamiliar area and we see a snake (which is apparently important in some way for a later development?)

Gray is looking after Erza, while Juvia goes looking for Wendy and Charle. Other members of Fairy Tail are also scattered, Mirajane’s group surprised to see some of Fairy Tail’s members who were in Magnolia proper there. And someone sees an army marching towards them, Makarov saying they must prepare for battle.

Brandish and August are elsewhere, August healed by Brandish. He explains that what happened was Eileen’s magic, rearranging the fundamental structure of the continent and moving people around as a result. The major goal was getting Zeref to where Fairy Heart is and Acnologia as far away as possible.

We see Zeref further elaborating as he observes how Fiore is now 1/20 of its normal size and that makes Fairy Tail’s likelihood of engaging with the enemy that much higher.

And he’s quite happy to be in Mavis’ presence, since she is Fairy Heart, his end goal.

Eileen is impressed at how successful her first use of the spell was, in the capital of Fiore, to the shock of the soldiers and royalty there.

Everyone is still in shock, the changes to the landscape so drastic that it’s like they’re in a new world entirely.

Gajeel, alive since he was apparently not being sucked into another world or such, meets with some mysterious figure. As the shape becomes clearer, it’s revealed to be Zera, who says she is one of the Fairies of Origin as the chapter ends on this new revelation
