There will be delays on Magi for the next 2 weeks, it seems, according to the scanlators, so we may get a double feature on the blog in the future to catch up.

Black Clover 64

Magna and Luck are barely able to stand, Magna in particular worried that they can’t take another hit. But Luck taunts Vett, the Beast Mage rushing at him. As he attacks, Luck dodges and strikes in the opening he has in his defense.

It barely seems to faze him, though, Magna impressed at him in spite of not getting along with him well when they first met. He observes how Luck has gotten even better since the dungeon mission where they met Mars, his battle sense one of the best he’s seen.

Magna unleashes his own attack, Luck thinking back to when they first met, initially not thinking much of him, but realizing that they’ve become friends over the years, their rivalry just enhancing it as they improved each other

Luck is knocked back by Vett, Magna catching him as the two are still prepared to fight him

Meanwhile, Asta and Kiat are heading in their direction, Asta learning why he couldn’t sense Kiat’s ki very well: the mage goes into a trance of sorts when dancing, so it becomes near impossible to trace.

Kiat senses that there is Fire and Lightning magic, as well as something resembling a herd of beasts, Vett’s magic power

Asta thinks those two will be able to hold their own until they come to support them.

Meanwhile, Magna and Luck are still having difficulties, but they won’t give up, because they’ve been inspired by Asta’s resolve, following suit as they combine their attacks to blast Vett with a huge bolt of energy.

But as Asta arrives, we see that the pair’s attack has been neutralized by Vett’s magic, his body covered in an aura like a gorilla. Before the Beast Mage can finish them off, Asta blocks his attack, saying that he’ll fight in their place, brushing aside Vett comparing them to insects.

The chapter ends as they start to square off, a new and dangerous fight beginning and hopefully also including Kiat in some way

Boku no Hero Academia 93

We see All Might remembering the words of his master, telling him that he should always remember why he fights so he can push past his limits.

Gran Torino observes how much All Might is at his absolute limit, his form not even fully muscular now

All For One notes how All Might can’t have that many attacks left in him, but remembers how desperately he fought against the #1 Villain in the past, thinking he’s still dangerous now.

Before he can attack again, Endeavor blasts him with an arc of fire.

The #2 Hero shouts at All Might, demanding to know why he looks like that, since very few people knew about All Might’s condition of losing his full power 5 years ago.

All For One tells them to stay out of his way, but Edge Shot attacks him, explaining that they intend to help All Might in some way, even if it’s just getting people out of danger in the area.

Gran Torino remembers when Nana Shimura spoke to him about All Might’s ideals when he was younger, seeking to be a pillar upon which society could stand and seek to do good in the world.

Everyone is cheering on All Might, but that inspiration is ignored by All For One, who utilizes all the best Quirks he has to enhance his arm to a point that it’s become massive and unwieldy, meant to be utilized to kill All Might.

He’s also realized that All Might has lost all but the smallest embers of One For All’s power, using that to keep himself fighting now in spite of the losing situation.

Knowing that Deku is the one he’s passed One For All on to, All For One intends to make him experience the despair of seeing his master be killed

The clash of power is immense, All Might still able to resist as All For One thinks that he’s still desperately clinging to the preservation of his flame, to hold out until the bitter end

All Might thinks to himself that he cannot die until he’s brought up Deku to be his successor, manifesting power in his other arm and punching All For One again as the chapter concludes.

Seven Deadly Sins 177

Ban helps Meliodas up, the Sin of Wrath thinking his wound aren’t that serious.

The other Ten Commandments are shocked at Merascylla’s defeat, but Estarossa thanks Ban, saying he would’ve killed her himself for trying to eliminate his brother.

He rushes past Ban, stabbing Meliodas through one of his hearts, noting how he will be the one to kill Meliodas. He manifests Rebellion, possibly his power or a spell, 6 more swords appearing

Ban tries to attack him, but the blow is rebounded, his hand crushed.

Estarossa explains how all demons of superior stock have 7 hearts and if you stab all of them, they’re going to die regardless of how powerful they are.

Ban grabs him around the neck, failing to stop him even using the full extent of his physical strength, Estarossa stabbing 6 more swords in Meliodas

The final sword is stabbed as Ban screams out in anguish. Estarossa seems to blast him into bits, regarding him as little more than a gnat as the Ten Commandments move out to conquer Britannia.

Elizabeth asks to be teleported there while the others are still in shock at their comrades’ seeming deaths.

She finds Meliodas, cradling his body as she weeps, the chapter ending as she wants things to be different.

One could hope Elizabeth’s powers could aid Meliodas and Ban in some way

World Trigger 146

Tamakoma 2’s victory was nearly assured, even the last fight not much in the way of affecting the ultimate conclusion, due to the difference in strategy and cooperation.

The commentators even note that this is how Tamakoma 2 commonly wins, using new tactics to overwhelm the opponents.

The biggest benefit was Osamu’s wires, contributing to the improvement of Yuma’s position as the ace while also helping to aid his own strategies.

Kitora’s told about Tamakoma 2’s win by Jun, thinking it was expected when they worked together and utilized the strategies they learned.

Ultimately making Yuma a better ace for the team aided them in situations where Yuma might’ve lost otherwise, like against Kakizaki squad. With the wires and sniping that ignored shields distracting them, they lost their advantage of numbers.

As for Katori and Kakizaki squads’ losses, Tokieda accepts that Kakizaki’s still putting in hard work, but they’re too dependent on the 3 person strategy and not moving out to defeat Chika.

But Teruya and Kotaro say that they shouldn’t just throw away their stable tactics for the risk that would’ve come about with letting them go separately from Kakizaki.

They may need to move forward with additional 2 part strategies, separating into a pair and solo group for fights.

Teruya is complimented for her counter of the Lead Bullet and bringing out Chika’s Lead Bullet/Hound combination she’d been hiding.

Izumi comments that future matches will take Teruya’s strategy into consideration and that the revelation of such tactics might hurt them in the future, such as Chika’s other combinations with Lead Bullet.

Izumi then notes how Katori squad’s problem was not having the chance for Katori to fight to her full potential, having to fight against Osamu’s wires and the strategy that Tokieda thinks he knows, but will hold back so as not to spoil it.

Yotaro asks Hyuse if he thinks he knows how it works, the Neighbor speculating that it’s the color of the wires, red distracting from the normal colored ones that blend in.

But even the normal colored ones have some gradient, so it works both ways: either you’re tricked by the normal wires, or you waste time trying to distinguish between the nuances of the normal wires’ colors that further distract you while Yuma assaults you, knowing the differences better

The commentators even note how Yuma has stolen Kageura’s Mantis technique, combining 2 Scorpions together for the whip effect, impressed at how they’re greedy for tactics

They wonder if the Wire tactic might be used more by others, but there aren’t many squads that can use it as well as Tamakoma 2 with their composition.

With the Rank Wars concluded for the day, Tamakoma 2 moves up to 4th, regaining their flow and more hopeful for the future.

Meanwhile, Yoko is pouting, wanting to quit Border because of her loss. Hana says it’s not like they can change her attitude, resentful of the newbies rising up in the ranks. But Yuta thinks it might be because Yoko is jealous of them and should work harder. She’s not sure she can, but Hana encourages her, saying that feeling defeat means she can get better with time, especially with friends supporting her.

The chapter ends as Jin tells Hyuse that with Osamu’s new strategies, it’ll only get harder when they incorporate the Neighbor into their team.

Magi 308

Aladdin is still trudging along, his teleportation magic only able to move them so far before he has to rest as they’re traveling through the Dark Continent massive area.

The others are watching a commercial that they have found through tapping into the Clairvoyance magic from devices within range. Alibaba is promoting a new product from the Kou Empire’s Fanfan Trading Company, a refrigeration device. They’ve shared the technologies with the rest of the world, the innovation allowing for people to live better lives.

They’re offering people a chance to set up shop in Kou, stimulating their economy much more with these new businesses and uses of the talisman technology.

Some are skeptical, but they don’t want to get left behind with all the progress that’s happening and the money to be made. Airships have steep competition with the teleportation circles, Reim agreeing to install one with new conditions

Alibaba is still concerned about Arba’s appearance when he last talked to Aladdin.

We see Arba facing off with Yunan, who’s guarding the rift to the Dark Continent to keep Aladdin safe in the meantime.

She mocks Yunan for giving up on his King candidate, but Yunan notes how she’s from the past era herself. Arba insists that she follows someone that’s above Solomon’s manipulations of the Magi in this world, Yunan retorting that he has free will to choose his King.

The two square off, Arba’s attack dodged by Yunan as he summons a wall. Arba smashes through with her physical abilities, but finds she’s getting slower as Yunan dodges her finishing blow.

He begins to wrap her in some mysterious magical tentacles, but she still thinks he’s weakened as she blasts her way out. Arba mocks Yunan for giving up and dulling his fangs as he isolated himself.

But Yunan shows he’s anything but weak as he summons lightning bolts to attack, the chapter ending as they start to get serious.

Bleach 677

Juhabach, in spite of being struck by the combined Gran Rey Cero/Getsuga Tenshou, says that Ichigo’s attack still isn’t strong enough, seemingly resisting the blow’s full power.

He comments that Ichigo is predictable, thinking that he can take advantage of Juhabach holding back and finish him off now.

But now that window of opportunity is gone, Juhabach fully manifesting the Soul King’s power as more eyes appear on his body.

Orihime has retreated, noticing the power of the two dwarfing her presence.

Ichigo tries to attack Juhabach with an opening, the second sword he used parried by Juhabach using one as well.

As Ichigo falls back, he’s assaulted by traps, each one appearing where he lands. But he thinks that there must be some sort of weakness to the Almighty’s precognition, Juhabach still blocking some of his attacks.

Juhabach explains that the future is not so much branching as it is more bubbles or grains of sand, each bubble or grain a different possible future. And his Almighty can see all of those possible futures, meaning Ichigo is merely jumping from one to another from a vantage point that makes it almost a fruitless effort

Ichigo is stabbed by another trap as he stands still, Juhabach’s explanation sending home the message that he cannot win, yet the Quincy King pleads with Ichigo not to give up hope, because he doesn’t want to kill him as he falls into despair.

Ichigo responds that he’s fought despair constantly, the chapter ending as he releases his Bankai to fight it to the end.

Toriko 374

We’re told that it’s exceptionally rare for another Gourmet Cell Demon to eat a fellow Demon, because the Gourmet Cells are too strong and would clash with each other to the detriment of the body’s integrity.

There are exceptions like NEO eating Don Slime and Jirou eating Nitro of high quality, but the idea of someone like Toriko eating NEO or wanting to put it on his Full Course is baffling to the Blue Nitro.

Acacia also thinks it’s absurd, moving to eat Toriko with pure Gourmet Hands, the Red Oni blocking the attack. The Blue Oni leaves Toriko’s body as well, striking Acacia with enough force to damage him. The two clash for a brief moment, but suddenly GOD attacks Acacia, smashing him through the planet and leaving him bloodied from the force, the Gourmet God struggling to recover.

The Blue Nitro are concerned, GOD’s strength able to hurt even NEO. Toriko stops them before they can interfere, recognizing both of them from previous encounters.

PAIR in particular notes how Toriko’s group was surprisingly strong, but in barely being able to face Bambina, they’re reckless to fight unarmed against them.

Toriko retorts he’s not unarmed, the Red and Blue Oni manifesting to fight them.

Meanwhile, we see Grinpatch, Tommyrod and Starjun fighting Niceny, Kuromado and Dores, finishing them off with relative ease and restoring them to sanity before they perish.

But Tommyrod and Grinpatch are affected by Joa’s fungus, melting away almost instantly.

Starjun, the lone survivor, threatens Joa by hinting at his parentage, which many have theorized is Midora, Joa’s reaction making us wonder if they’re aware.

The chapter ends as we see Ootake’s Food Luck enabling him to find the spot where he’s safe from GOD’s attacks and latches on, something happening unexpectedly.

Fairy Tail 488

Gajeel is still being sucked in, Levy trying to run over and help him. He tells her to get away, since he’s being consumed by the magic barrier particles, but she persists.

He then binds her to a stone nearby with iron shackles, but she cuts herself free. She’s only stopped by Pantherlily, who insists she can’t help him.

As he’s being sucked into the Underworld by Bradman, Gajeel thanks Levy for helping him become a good person in spite of all his flaws. Thanks to her, he was able to think of being a respectable adult, with a family and loved ones beside him

He tells her to live for his sake, feeling like this is the most dangerous thing he’s ever experienced: being taken away from the person he loved.

The portal sucks him in as Acnologia concludes that there are now only 6 Dragon Slayers left, recognizing his apparent death.

Eileen wonders if that was his true goal all along, Acnologia telling her to leave him.

She persists, acknowledging his strength. Acnologia is curious whether she can even amuse him for a time, the Scarlet Witch thinking that she can indeed.

We shift back to Brandish’s negotiation with August, insisting that what Zeref desires is little more than genocide, nothing noble about his ideals in the slightest. She says that August, being the wisest in the Spriggan 12, should realize this.

He accepts her proposal, wishing to at least hear Fairy Tail out, the Spriggan happy that the person she sees as her grandfather is being reasonable.

But suddenly, Brandish takes a knife and enhances its size, stabbing through August’s chest.

It turns out Mest implanted a suggestion in her memories to kill August, Natsu saying he shouldn’t have done such a thing. But Mest insists it was to protect the guild.

The chapter ends as August, still alive, manifests a powerful magic, his body changing in appearance to something more evil.
