World Trigger is off this week: Ashihara had something of an injury relapse or the like, I believe.

Black Clover 65

The sheer bravery of Magna and Luck impresses Yami and the priest, the Black Bull captain thinking that Asta should learn from that

Vett compliments Asta on the power of his anti magic sword, managing to bruise him a bit. But he still thinks the Black Bull can’t defeat him with his meager power, not even possessing mana

Kiat notices that his father was defeated and observes how Vett’s mana is overflowing, somehow able to protect him: possibly due to the mana’s blessing he spoke of.

Vett reiterates how he’ll slaughter everyone to get the magic stone, but Kiat and Asta assault him. They narrowly dodge his counterattacks, the power intense and his skill to read their moves impressing Asta, who can’t seem to read Vett’s moves with his speed.

The pair still persists in spite of Vett’s insistence that he’s so strong that their attacks are barely fazing him. Even with their resolve, Vett still smashes them away.

Asta still stands up, Vett observing how he’s weak to ranged attacks, especially if they don’t have magic. He demonstrates this by throwing a boulder at him. And Asta’s other weakness is those who use magic to further enhance their physical abilities like he does with Beast Magic.

But the Black Bull doesn’t care, still trying to fight as Vett also says he’s so reckless that he gets needless injuries, holding him up by one arm

Asta bites him, speaking something he can’t understand. Vett prepares to finish him off, saying he must despair at the power he faces.

Suddenly, he’s blasted by magic from elsewhere, Kahono and Noelle saying that Asta insisted he won’t give up hope.

The chapter ends on this conflict, the female mage pair providing assistance to Asta.

Boku no Hero Academia 94

The punch was still shallow, but All Might reveals it was a double decoy, his first punch throwing him off balance and the second one further weakening his guard as he puts everything into his last punch, United States of Smash.

The punch causes a massive shockwave, everyone waiting for the dust to settle.

All For One isn’t moving, All Might standing proud to show his status as the Symbol of Peace to everyone.

The other Heroes continue their rescue activities, but the casualties are still expected to be very high with the damage done.

As they’re taking All For One into custody with All Might’s supervision. Everyone’s moving out, Deku and the others trying to get Bakugou to safety and let the others know he’s safe.

But we see All Might point in Deku’s direction, saying that he’s next. The people unaware of things interpret it as him threatening other Villains to be wary of him pursuing them, but Deku sees it as passing the torch, that All Might’s time is over.

All For One is taken to a special high security prison, revealing that he cannot see except with an Infrared Ray Quirk, disrupted by the various sensors in the prison, astonishing his warden that he took on All Might like that, relying only on that and a slightly improved sense of hearing.

The Symbol of Fear thinks that All Might misunderstood what he was doing when he bid farewell to Shigaraki. Instead of growing closer to him, like All Might’s goal was with Deku, he was enabling him to stand on his own, rather than create the bonds that All Might and Deku have that he thinks hinder growth. With this in mind, he thinks that his pupil will succeed him.

The chapter ends as he follows All Might’s line of thought, passing on the torch to Shigaraki as All Might did to Deku, the two bearing a great responsibility.

Seven Deadly Sins 178

It’s been a month since Meliodas died, and in spite of many people willing to face against the Ten Commandments, there is little they seem to be able to do

More Demons, especially Gray Demons, are summoned and assault the people, who are powerless to stand against them.

The Ten Commandments made a practice of eating the strongest souls, people offering the most powerful in their area as a sacrifice, out of fear or reverence.

We meet 2 old Holy Knights that fought against Meliodas and Diane when they were searching for Ban, Ruin and Freesia of Weird Fang.

The people are pushed back and Fraudrin appears. Ruin and Freesia think he’s there to support them, only recognizing him as Dreyfus

He eats Ruin’s soul, Freesia trying to fight back, but held down by the people seeking her out to protect their own welfare. Dreyfus eats her soul, giving the people a respite of three months as a reward.

Meanwhile, we see more Gray Demons attacking. But suddenly, Nanashi, the mysterious samurai that we met in the tournament arc that had great power then shows even more, slicing through the Demon’s blast and cutting them in half, his slashes having such immense power they previously cut off wings in midair.

The Gray Demons warn them that they can only submit or perish, but another fighter attacks, revealed to be Arthur, who says they’ll keep fighting and stand their ground against the demons as the chapter ends.

Magi 309

Yunan’s use of lightning stuns Arba. The Magi throws another bolt at her, which she punches away. He summons more, the arcs of electricity getting brighter as she observes how it’s blue and impressive.

He explains that he’s imitating Sinbad’s attack with Baal’s Djinn Equip, blasting her with the force of a barrage of lightning bolts, seemingly vaporizing her and shattering her Borg.

But she manages to retain her form even after the blast, most of her skin burned off.

Arba rushes at Yunan and attacks him, the counterattack dodged as she stabs a lightning blade through him.

Yunan manages to immobilize her and utilize the rest of his magoi to blast her body into pieces.

He thinks he’s won, but he’s paralyzed with disbelief at her body reforming itself and Arba back to her initial form, no wounds at all.

Yunan begins to think she might be immortal with the sheer resolve she has after transferring bodies for so long, being an entity of pure thought technically.

Instead of killing him, Arba says she’ll corrupt his Rukh and make him a Dark Magi like she did with Judar.

She’s nearly successful, but is stopped by what seems to be Solomon. But it’s actually Aladdin, along with Hakuryuu and Morgiana, ready to face her as the chapter ends on this new fight

Bleach 678

Ichigo emphasizes how much despair he’s overcome, including his mother’s death when he was young and how he’s going to continue to do so and defeat Juhabach.

He combines his swords together and calls out Bankai, a burst of power covering him and as the dust settles, we see it’s still named Tensa Zangetsu, the swords now fused, with a chain from the hilt to the blade.

But suddenly, the blade’s top is chopped off, Juhabach holding the broken part of the blade as Ichigo is confused at what happened. He didn’t even feel the attack, like it was always broken.

Juhabach explains that he’s just paying proper respects, acknowledging Ichigo’s Bankai as truly powerful, so he decided he must break it.

And to follow up, he says that he won’t give him time to try to figure out what happened, smashing Ichigo around, even having broken off his horn. Ichigo can’t counter him, the Quincy King moving so fast and attacking so swiftly that he can’t counter, being wounded deeply.

Before Juhabach can finish him off with a slash, Orihime blocks the blow, but Ichigo is still stabbed as if the attack succeeded in spite of the shield.

Juhabach thinks that Ichigo must be confused at what is happening, that he thought the future could be changed.

And he’d be right in that the Almighty’s true power, according to Juhabach, is not the power to see the future, but to change it.

The chapter ends as Ichigo’s face is twisted in shock and despair at the situation being so against him, Juhabach’s power overwhelming.

One Piece 829

Luffys’ group heads out, in spite of their concerns about Pekoms’ safety.

Nami explains that they can’t get close to the islands, moving on a path relative to each Log Pose to follow the directions Pudding gave them so they’ll avoid the surveillance slugs underwater.

Brook understands things, Nami going to cook, Luffy bothering her to try again, in spite of his failure last time.

Carrot switches with Pedro to scout out things and notices the ocean is somewhat grape colored. Pedro explains why, saying there are rivers that flow out to the sea, the others wondering how he knows this. The Mink says he’s been there in the past, but before they can address that, a giant centipede monster comes out of the ocean.

We shift to Whole Cake Island, Big Mom apparently craving a new sweet and leaving for the capital, destroying anything that gets in her way. Her subordinates are rushing to prepare her sweet of choice this time, a pile of cream puffs

One of her sons, the Minister of Gelato, Muscat, tries to stop her, but she ignores him, still in a blind rage. Her intimidating presence makes him run and she uses what is likely a Devil Fruit power to steal all his life force, 40 years worth.

Suddenly, Jinbe appears with the croquembouche craving that Big Mom wanted, shoving it in her mouth and ending her rampage.

She thanks him, wondering what he’s here to ask her about. As Jinbe says it’s important, Big Mom wonders out loud if he’s going to quit her crew as the chapter ends

Toriko 375

Important qualification I failed to notice: Joa beat Zebra, Coco and Sani, though they say it took an hour in the Back Channel. It was part of the chronology I neglected, but the message is still there: Joa is powerful and those 3 were considered small flies to Acacia rather than Toriko and Starjun.

Ootake is assaulted by a sudden flow of input, one scale of GOD feeling like he’s being sucked into a planet. He sees the plant and animal life as he’s told how to prepare GOD by Jiji’s memories from Zebra.

He must go through the Food Memories of GOD, built up over the millennia from the Full Course repeating itself through history.

Ootake has to sift through the jumbled mess of the ingredients from history to find the path to the fullest flavor. The chef realizes Zebra’s Sound Barrier is weakening, so he steels himself to prepare GOD as fast as he can

Meanwhile, we see Joa unimpressed by Starjun’s threat, the Gourmet Corps’ chef saying it doesn’t matter, since what he’s doing is karma, his fate to stop Joa and Acacia.

Joa dismisses such a sentiment, unleashing a blinding fungus attack to distract Starjun while he moves to slash him

But the two move with exceptional speed, countering each others’ attacks to a relative stalemate, Starjun’s third eye allowing him to fight nearly on even ground.

Joa is impressed, but warns Starjun not to get overconfident in his youthful enthusiasm. Starjun retorts that he’s not as young as he thinks.

Toriko’s fight with PAIR and CENTER continues, the Red Oni not as strong because he hasn’t eaten the last of Acacia’s Full Course. The Blue Oni’s power shocks the Blue Nitro, his power comparable to theirs in scale.

Acacia is fighting GOD, moving to eat his attack with full focus. But a shockwave blasts both of them away.

It’s Heracles, along with Bambina, moving to get involved themselves. The Monkey King punches Acacia with swiftness and strength

The rest of the 8 Kings are nearby, the chapter ending as a new conflict begins, the 8 Kings likely targeting Acacia to keep GOD safe.

Fairy Tail 489

Brandish is still in shock at her attack on August, but falls over unconscious.

Suddenly, August makes a motion, Natsu realizing the danger as a massive explosion results from August’s attack, seen from miles away by those in Magnolia

Meanwhile, we see that Cana succeeded in casting Fairy Glitter, freeing Mavis’ body from the crystal. She’s alive, but her muscles have degenerated from inactivity.

Back with Acnologia and Eileen, we see that her power is immense, pushing back the Black Dragon with magic that seems to warp the very atmosphere. He observes that she’s a High Enchanter, putting her magic into seemingly anything as he blasts her back.

She’s impressed with his power as much as he is with hers, but she wonders if he can defeat Zeref once he gains Fairy Heart.

He retorts that she’s overestimating humanity, Eileen curious about why he says that, since he was once a human.

She agrees that they need to bring this fight to an end, so she moves to utilize a new spell, Acnologia not recognizing it at all.

Eileen explains that this is a new spell, not something from ancient times and, more amazingly, she’s enchanting the entirety of Fiore, the whole continent affected by this magic.

The light from it is even more blinding than August’s attack, engulfing everyone as Eileen’s spell is named: World Reconstruction Magic, Universe One, seemingly altering reality itself as the chapter ends
