No World Trigger this week. Hopefully, we’ll resume general patterns next time.

Slight correction for Bleach 620: Uryuu was actually referring to Juhabach’s private guard as Schutz Staffel, not the technique he used. Schutz Staffel, btw, refers to the S.S., Adolf Hitler’s private protection force.

Boku no Hero Academia 35

The chapter starts with the match between Shiozaki and Kaminari, but it’s over before it began, the Vine Quirk user wrapping Kaminari up after he discharged his electricity into her wall of vines.

Deku’s already analyzing the strength of Shiozaki’s Quirk, Uraraka impressed, thinking this festival has really brought out the best in him.

Iida and Mei’s match starts, both of them wearing items. Iida wasn’t aware that you had to apply for an exception if you’re in the Hero Course, but he explains that since he was offered the gadgets by Mei to make things even, he felt obligated to. The judges allow it in this case, since they have a mutual agreement.

Mei begins by explaining both Iida and her gadgets and the functions. This is meant to appeal to the Sales Division. She reveals she has a Quirk, though, like Shinsou’s, it’s not meant for battle, just allowing her to see up to 5 km away.

The battle goes on for 10 minutes, Mei able to dodge Iida’s speed with her gadgets. At the end she steps out of the ring, Iida exhausted and frustrated that he was used as a tool to promote her gadgets.

Uraraka is impressed, leaving Deku as she goes to the preparation room. Iida meets her, Ochako really stressed about her upcoming fight with Bakugou.

Deku comes in, noting that the fights he was going to watch ended rather quickly. Aoyama lost to Ashido after she damaged his belt and Tokoyami took out Momo before she could use her items.

Kirishima and Tetsutestu’s fight is going on now, Uraraka’s match against Bakugou the last one for the preliminaries. Deku offers her a strategy he thought up to use her Quirk to stand a chance against Bakugou, but she refuses, saying everyone is putting in their all, so she shouldn’t take his help.

Kirishima and Tetsutetsu’s fight ends in a draw, resolved through an arm wrestling match later.

The chapter ends as Uraraka and Bakugou’s match begins.

Seven Deadly Sins 119 and Vampires of Edinburgh 3

Hendricksen is trying to get somewhere and warn everyone about the awakening of the Ten Commandments. Since they still need to recharge, defeating them now is the best chance, since otherwise, they’ll be far too powerful. The druid collapses, still vowing to bring Dreyfus back.

The Ten Commandments sense an Albion’s destruction, Fraudrin qualifying that it’s two in different areas.

One armored demon says he wants to face these people that still oppose them, but Zeldris says that this arrogance is what got them sealed away. In spite of being weakened, the unnamed demon still thinks he can’t be beaten, flying away to one of the two locations.

Meliodas explains the situation to Arthur, Diane worried that they might not even be able to fight against enemies that are stronger than the Albion.

But Hawk thinks Meliodas’ new move might be able to help them, since it would quintuple his power level up to 16000. Looking at the clones Meliodas makes with Physical Clone, however, shows that they’re only about a 1/5 or so of the original Power Level.

It works well with Meliodas because his power of Full Counter doesn’t need a lot of energy, unlike Diane’s Creation, for example. Merlin notes that it’s basically the perfect match for Meliodas’ ability.

Elizabeth thinks to herself she’s still useless, even voicing it to Slader, who says that she shouldn’t conclude that, since that would render anyone weaker than someone else useless.

Merlin thinks there’s something odd about the prophecy, since the two parts after describing a beast with the likeness of a mountain don’t fit together.

Suddenly, a huge power comes near and crashes into Camelot.

Galan of the Ten Commandments, who Meliodas recognizes, comments that it took him 72 steps to get here, when he thought it would only take 70, noting how weak he’s gotten.

Hawk is shocked at his power level, thinking Balor’s eye is broken. It shows Galan has a Power Level of 26000 as the chapter ends.

Escanor and Izraf face off. The Vampire King thinking Escanor’s gone mad, unleashing his true power, Impurity.

Merlin notes Izraf’s power level of 4890. But even after Escanor is overshadowed by the dark ability, he unleashes a burst of light, knocking Izraf and his Impurity away,

The Vampire King wonders what happened, thinking it was pure pressure, since Escanor didn’t do anything. The Lion’s Sin explains that the darkness was just afraid of him. He continues by saying that he is above even a king, which he says are as numerous as grains of sand.

Izraf attacks Escanor, getting wounded on his shoulder. But as he regenerates, he’s burned by some fire. He thinks it must be like the Demon Clan’s Purgatory fire, but it’s different in quality.

Ban, meanwhile, has finished his 100,000 pushups, collapsed and exhausted. Merlin teleports him back to Liones, preparing to get more data on Escanor.

Diane and King are having problems, since Ban stole most of their power. But as one of the vampires prepares to suck King dry, he’s killed by one of his allies. Gowther appears, revealing he used Invasion to control their actions with Jack.

He explains why he came so late by saying it would make it more exciting, since he’s not always thinking logically, but sometimes based on the stories he reads and the patterns within.

Meliodas is speaking with Gelda about what happened 3000 years ago. The vampires were vassals of the Demon Clan, but Izraf planned a rebellion. After they were discovered, instead of being executed, Zeldris decided to seal them away.

Gelda said he did it for Meliodas’ sake. She implies she and Zeldris might’ve been friends or lovers in the past, but now she feels like she has no goal in life and demands the Dragon’s Sin kill her. Meliodas agrees as we shift scenes.

Diane and King notice two immense powers, Meliodas and Escanor, on opposite sides of the battlefield. Merlin tells Diane and King to go back, Gowther commanded to prepare as usual.

Izraf is still unable to fight against Escanor’s power, even his Armor of Darkness blown away.

Escanor comments to himself about Merlin’s beauty and bizarre nature, a paradox of desire and logic, perfect balance of her hair and lip colors and enticing scents.

Merlin notes that Escanor’s power was something he had from birth. It’s noted as different from any other non human clan, Sunshine, the source of all life. At midnight, Escanor is the weakest of the Sins, but once the sun rises, it continues to increase until noon, making him the strongest of the Sins at that point.

Escanor decides he’ll just eliminate Izraf as he vaporizes him, leaving the ruins that we see in the present time of the series.

Before Escanor can do anything to Merlin, she amplifies Gowther’s power and he fires a Blackout Arrow to knock him unconscious.

Meliodas uses his great power to bore the hole into the ground that we also see in the present, the mission over.

Merlin hears Escanor beating himself up about his poem, volunteering to hear it out of curiosity.

As everyone else celebrates, Meliodas thinks to himself that Zeldris must be furious at him. He notes he’s Zeldris’ older brother and regards himself as a failure as the chapter ends.

All in all, a really good exposition of things and explaining the source of the destruction in Edinburgh as well as giving backstory on Meliodas and Escanor.

Magi 260

Judar rushes at Aladdin, trying to finish this by a clash of Borg, presumably, but Hakuryuu thinks it’s too dangerous.

The Dark Magi is pushed back, still shocked at how much power Aladdin’s emitting. This is especially unusual because, even with training, a Magi’s physical strength and ability to emit magoi should reasonably decrease over time, but the power of this magic isn’t weakening at all.

Judar begins to suspect Aladdin did something with the magic that affects his perception, but he’s stopped by Hakuryuu wrapping one of his arms with a plant, telling his Magi to make an Isolation Barrier.

While Judar tries, he’s unable to do it while contending with Aladdin’s magic, being pushed back more and more. We suddenly see he’s in the atmosphere, collapsing after losing oxygen.

Aladdin explains to Hakuryuu that Judar won’t come back. Ugo’s Sand Giant punch was just the initial force behind the strategy. His follow up magic took that force and applied it consistently with the same force in the same direction. So, unless Judar can somehow get out of the area of effect, he’ll be pushed infinitely back.

Hakuryuu tries to stop the magic by force on Aladdin, but the Magi responds that it’s out of his power now, having altered the laws of physics in that area.

The chapter ends as we see the Magi and the Dual Djinn user left in shock at losing their partners in this fight.

One Piece 781

The Bird Cage’s shrinking is noticed all around the kingdom, people moving towards the center.

Doflamingo explains to Luffy that it’ll be about an hour before everyone in the town is killed by the Birdcage’s eventual closing like an umbrella.

People are panicking, trying to escape, Usopp noting that Luffy’s the only chance they have. We see Sabo moving to save Luffy in spite of Doflamingo saying no one wants to help him.

Luffy says he’ll just beat Doflamingo and change the ending of this story.

Suddenly, Law teleports himself with Shambles and prepares to use an Operation that will kill Doflamingo, Gamma Knife.

Doflamingo seems to be severely hurt. Law explains he’s had a Room prepared that’s so big no one even recognized it, waiting for the right opportunity. He switched his body with a double to fake his death, since Doflamingo missed his vitals, waiting for the right opportunity.

Law explained this to Luffy after last chapter’s end. The Death Surgeon is ready to finish Doflamingo off, Luffy unexpectedly using Jet Stamp to knock Doflamingo away before he uses an attack on Law.

As Luffy prepares to finish Doflamingo off, Law demands that he get the finishing blow. He activates a Room around Doflamingo, explaining that the Gamma Knife destroys the internal organs with no external wounds.

Law continues to berate Doflamingo, saying that he never saw anyone as his family, only convenient tools to use. Doflamingo knew Corazon couldn’t kill him, but Law says he can, the String Man saying that’s because they’re the same. Trebol, meanwhile, tries to attack Law, but Luffy knocks him away.

But as Law uses Counter Shock to try to immobilize Doflamingo, he falls back, exhausted.

Doflamingo reveals his String String Fruit can repair his body from the inside, even if it’s not truly healing, it’s temporary and effective. As Doflamingo prepares to finish Law off for good, Luffy blocks the blow, the two standing off as the chapter ends.

Bleach 621

Ukitake collapses, Urahara noting that it’s as if the power is being absorbed.

Suddenly, a black curtain appears and starts to spread over Seireitei.

Back at the Soul Palace, Juhabach seems to be unsteady on his feet. The Ex Axis sees a burst of tiny spirits coming off him.

Jugram explains that this is just the Soul King’s power overflowing from Juhabach, since it’s now free of the seals the Soul Reapers placed on it. And he eases any concerns about danger, saying that now, the Soul King’s enemies are the Soul Reapers.

Back at Seireitei, Soifon thinks this must be the work of the Quincies, also pointing out the hole in the Shakonmaku above Seireitei. She activates her Bankai, preparing to take it out, but the Soul King’s power starts to assault her. Everyone else activates their Zanpakutou and pushes the bizarre spirits back, but they just keep coming.

The chapter ends as some of the spirits are crushed, Aizen appearing and saying that they can crush them with their reiatsu instead of waving their blades about.

Toriko 318

Everyone’s crying tears of joy, even Zebra, as Komatsu is alive after all this time.

Komatsu explains that he died at one point, but that the charm Mappy gave him a while ago allowed him to come back by serving as a replacement for his life. It was in his pocket since then, but no one knows what it is, just looking like a jewel.

Komatsu doesn’t remember his conversation with Toriko in the Back Channel. He wonders why everyone’s been crying so much for his sake, but after they explain the Sandoriko are responsible, Komatsu thinks that if they ate them, since they’re an ingredient, the allergies might go away.

The group tries it, finding out it does work, complimenting Komatsu for his ability to hear the voice of ingredients. PAIR may have been how they even survived in spite of the deadly allergy, providing them with nutrients through sound, smell and touch, not even the actual taste of it.

Everyone realizes how reliant they were on ingredients to keep them alive, PAIR allowing Komatsu to come back and the Sandoriko preventing the allergen from killing them. Coco wonders why PAIR fell from Bambina, but they’re distracted from that by 100 G Mountain starting to collapse.

Afterwards, Coco sees the Monkey King looking over a casket, which likely holds his lover. The source of the gravity being where the casket is means it drew in countless ingredients over the years, creating 100 G Mountain around the coffin, creating a sort of tomb.

Coco notes that they did the Monkey Dance properly, it just turned out that, according to the missing plate in the house where the casket it, Bambina was just trying to kiss them. The chapter ends on this revelation, the arc virtually over.

Fairy Tail 425

We return to Juvia’s house in Rainfell, Wendy trying to heal her with magic. They continue in their duties, leaving Natsu and Lucy to find Gray at Sabretooth’s guild.

As Natsu and Lucy arrive in the city where Sabretooth’s guild is, Lucy wonders if they can find info about Gray here. Natsu isn’t sure, but he tells Lucy they need to keep believing in Gray.

The group arrives, Yukino and the others noting that they’ve gotten a lot more work since Fairy Tail disbanded. Yukino is especially excited to hear Fairy Tail is coming back.

Sting appears, much more corpulent than before for some reason. Frosch, Rogue and Minerva are gone on a mission. Lector says they just left, so they might still be at the city gates, Natsu leaving. Yukino uses Libra’s power to return Sting back to normal weight.

Natsu finds Rogue, taking him aside to talk privately.

Lucy asks what happened with Sting and his body weight issues. Minerva explains they had a food festival the day before, so Sting got a little overzealous. Minerva still won in the end.

This explains why Sabretooth didn’t enter the tournament, though Sting also said that it would be pointless without Fairy Tail involved.

Minerva apologizes to Lucy for her behavior the last time, Lucy forgiving her. She even reminds Minerva that Fairy Tail, even if it’s disbanded for now, will come back.

Natsu asks for the request form related to the mission Rogue and the others took. It’s a job to “Destroy Avatar”, which Natsu thinks is where Gray is. He says he’ll do it and in exchange, he’ll give the rewards to Rogue’s group. But he asks them to promise not to leave the city, since they’re apparently in some danger.

As Natsu leaves, we see a flashback to when Future Rogue was defeated. He left a warning to Natsu that, in a year from that point, he should protect Frosch, or he’ll be killed by Gray (an addition to what we were told a few hundred chapters ago when Future Rogue was dying, since he just said Frosch will die, he didn’t specify who would kill him). The chapter ends as Natsu says he has to save Gray as an essential member of Fairy Tail.
