As a reminder, One Piece is on break this week. Magi is delayed through scanlations, so I’ll hopefully catch up next week, or we may just be behind again. Or it may have even been on break and I wasn’t aware.

Boku no Hero Academia 33

Everyone’s still in shock at Deku’s sudden inability to move and that Shinsou, a general unknown in this festival, is suddenly showing such power.

Aizawa tells Present Mic he’s always though the entrance exam didn’t make sense. Shinsou failed the Heroics Practical Exam, but managed to get into General Education. His Quirk is so particular he couldn’t get any points in the Heroics exam, but his Quirk is nonetheless dangerous if he used it as a Hero.

It’s Brainwash, controlling anyone who answers him, though he has to be willing it for the power to activate. He tells Deku to leave the stage, the battle seemingly over.

Deku beats himself up inwardly for failing to take Ojiro’s advice from before. He noted to Deku that it’s not completely foolproof, since if you’re hit with enough force, the mind control is seemingly broken.

As Deku nears the edge, he suddenly sees a black mass of eyes and his finger moves. He breaks out of the Brainwash, seemingly by just the force of everyone who previously had the power, their wills assisting him. His finger is hurt by the force of using the power, however.

Shinsou tries to taunt Deku again, jealous of his Quirk but he ignores him, noting that he’s really been dependent on others for using his power and training to get as strong as he is. Deku tries to push the Brainwasher out of the ring. Shinsou pushes back, but Deku grabs and slams him on the ground, knocking him out and winning the match as the chapter concludes with him progressing to the next round.

Seven Deadly Sins 117

Jericho is amazed at the size of the mysterious golem, bigger than the Fairy King’s tree. The fairies run as we see the beast swipe at one and cleave the top of the mountain nearby off.

The former Holy Knight moves to inform Ban. The monster attacks the tree, stopped by King’s Sunflower attack.

The fairies wonder why he’s fighting all alone, Harlequin saying it’s because this is his home.

Jericho finds the entrance to where Ban is sealed by ivy, unable to get in.

Gerharde (apparently a correction on the name from before), still talking to Ban, is impressed that he doesn’t care about some fairies disapproving of his being the Fairy King, since he’s a human.  Ban already heard from Elaine 20 years ago that fairies distrusted humans.

The vassal of the Fairy King motions to attack, noting that she (that seems to be the gender of the character so far) thinks only Harlequin is suited to be the Fairy King, no human able to meet those standards, Ban also not approved by the Sacred Tree technically.

Ban knocks away the attacks, saying he’ll leave, but Gerharde attacks Elaine’s body.

Jericho cuts away the vines, getting in. Gerharde tells her to leave, saying that Ban will be the new Fountain of Youth for eternity next to Elaine. The chapter ends as we see Ban protected Elaine, impaled by Gerharde’s attack, the vines nearby binding him.

World Trigger 95

We flashback to Kou crying at Arafune’s decision to quit being an Attacker. He thinks he has more to learn, his Side Effect ruining the hard work everyone else around him puts in.

But it turns out Arafune planned to quite being an Attacker when he got 8000 points. His plan was to get to Master Class in Attacker and then achieve that with Sniper and Gunner as well, becoming as strong as Reiji in Tamakoma.

Arafune berates Kou, telling him that he shouldn’t think he’s gotten overpowered, since he’s still only B Rank and can only make big claims once he beats the top A Ranks.

Kou finishes up his review as Suzunari-1 is ready to start.

Back at Tamakoma-2’s strategy meeting, they’re figuring out the areas that Nasu Squad would use for their fight. Osamu thinks that this will be a mid range fight, since their captain is a Shooter. Also, Suwa Squad’s strategy depended on a similar attack pattern, and it’ll be good against a team with a similar composition of Suzunari-1, which Tamakoma-2 has: Shooter, Attacker and Sniper.

We see Nasu Squad’s strategy depends on the Riverbank landscape they chose, separating the squads, focusing on Murakami and Kuga as the best Attackers. They’ll meet up, similar to Tamakoma-2’s strategy. And Nasu, their leader, will be the one to focus on getting points.

The commentary for the third day is done by Kazama Squad’s Operator, Jin and Tachikawa.

They think that Nasu squad will destroy the bridge and keep the Attackers at bay, even though with cover fire, an Attacker can get across the waist deep river.

As the squads are thrown in, we see that there are Weather Conditions as well, a rainstorm the present state of Riverbank A. The conditions and time of day can be chosen as well, so Nasu is really pushing the other squads to act on the unexpected. The squads are split up on either side of the river, but Nasu squad is already prepared, moving to meet up as the chapter ends.

Bleach 619

Juhabach tells Ichigo he never thought of using him, because he’s already been following the Quincy King’s will the whole time. Awakening as a Shinigami, defeating Aizen and reclaiming his powers; even killing the Soul King all was within his plan.

Since Ichigo and Juhabach share the same blood, Juhabach’s will is Ichigo’s will in that perspective.

Ichigo attacks him, but Juhabach blocks the blade easily. Ichigo insists he’ll stop Juhabach, the Quincy King saying that the fact Ichigo can’t say he’ll kill his mother’s murderer shows his weakness.

Suddenly, Uryuu attacks Yoruichi and destroys the barrier she’d created around the Soul King. Ichigo tries to attack Juhabach again, but is knocked away. Yoruichi throws some balls at Juhabach, preparing to throw another volley to follow up and disintegrate him, since he took the first set head on. But Juhabach calls the Compulsory, Parnkjas, who uses his power to twist Yoruichi’s arm, Juhabach knocking her off the Soul Palace.

Ichigo once again tries to attack Juhabach as he places his hand on Mimihagi’s arm, but Uryuu attacks him, distracting him long enough for Juhabach to start to rip the Soul King’s right arm off.

The chapter ends as Ichigo and Uryuu square off, Ichigo still enraged as his friend’s betrayal.

Toriko 316

Toriko is confused at Komatsu being here, unable to hear what his partner is screaming. He’s more bewildered at why PAIR fell, thinking that the Monkey Dance was supposed to satisfy him. But seeing his expression of happiness makes them think he got what he wanted.

The group notices that one of the two balls of PAIR is gone. Komatsu manages to get within earshot of Toriko, telling him to catch the other PAIR ball, Komatsu cupping his hands to save the other one. He emphasizes they need to catch them at the same time.

The combo successfully catch the balls, the outer layer shattering. Komatsu explains they need to combine them, since one will sink into the underworld otherwise. They were two parts of a set, combining them the true capture method. This implies Komatsu is somehow halfway in the underworld, able to catch one of PAIR’s balls.

As they combine the balls, it warps and shifts forms, eventually settling into the shining orb we saw a while ago.

Komatsu bids farewell to everyone, fading away, as if he was astrally projecting himself.

Yunyun the Wall Penguin appears, bringing Komatsu with him, who’s nearing his limit. The group moves to feed him PAIR, but Kaka appears, surprised at the true form of PAIR. It turns out Yunyun was a Camping Monster, able to hide Komatsu’s presence from even Kaka.

She moves to take PAIR, but Bambina appears and clashes, the two ready to fight as the chapter ends.

Fairy Tail 423

Natsu chides Chelia for stealing Happy, but Wendy notes that Bluenote was the person who hurt them all back at Tenrou Island. Natsu doesn’t recognize Bluenote, but the gravity magic user does, letting the power go out of control and affecting his subordinates as well.

Bluenote pushes Natsu down with a gravity enhanced punch, but the Fire Dragon Slayer pushes the ground up with his flames. Bluenote recognizes Natsu as being like Gildartz, Natsu unleashing a massive fire blast that horribly burns Bluenote and defeats him in one shot, the gravity mage collapsing after everything settles, shocked that he was beat by someone he defeated in the past.

The remaining members of Orochi’s Fin surrender, Natsu also realizing that he inadvertently set Chelia’s top on fire.

Back at Margaret, Natsu’s a bit disappointed he didn’t get warmed up, while the others say that Chelia has to talk to Wendy about something.

The Sky God Slayer tells Wendy that she wanted to show that she could be Wendy’s strength, but Natsu showed her up. Chelia thinks that Wendy has to go back to Fairy Tail because they have a strong bond they’ve developed over a much more difficult period of time than the Sky Sisters have.

Wendy agrees, saying that even if she doesn’t love Natsu romantically, she sees him as an older brother, a strong love in itself. They vow to remain friends, even in different guilds, as they clasp hands.

As Wendy and Charle leave, we’re told they never intended to stay with Lamia Scale permanently, but only until Fairy Tail was rebuilt.

The group parts, Chelia saying she won’t cry because she wants Fairy Tail to be rebuilt as well.

Wendy is still choked up, Lamia Scale being so nice and getting to meet Natsu, Lucy and Happy after so long.

Lucy says their next location is a village called Rainfell, where it never seems to stop raining. The chapter concludes as we see what was fairly obvious from the description: it’s where Juvia is.
