Boku no Hero Academia 36
The match has nearly started between
Bakugou and Uraraka. Iida asks Deku what strategy he was going to suggest to
Ochako, Deku explaining that Bakugou is surprisingly mobile even in midair, but
if Uraraka gets him floating, she’ll gain the advantage.
Ochako rushes at Bakugou, trying to get
a hand on him to activate her power’s effects. Bakugou starts with his usual
right swipe, the blast hitting Ochako as she gets in range.
Bakugou prepares to finish her off, but
it turns out what he strikes is just her jacket used as a decoy. The Zero G
Quirk user tries to strike him again, but he knocks her away.
Uraraka decides to keep charging, even
knowing that Bakugou has quick reaction time, taking another blast directly and
pushing forward. This continues on for a while, Ochako at least managing to
dodge, but not able to get a hand on Bakugou.
Some people in the crowd start booing
Bakugou, saying he should take mercy on her and throw her out of the ring
instead of knocking her around.
But Aizawa notes that Bakugou isn’t
holding back because he recognizes Ochako as an opponent, so he’s not letting
anything slip by.
Ochako still manages to stand up,
noting that her plan’s almost complete, thanking Bakugou.
One of Class B’s members notes that
Ochako always kept Bakugou’s focus on the ground, creating a smokescreen to
cover all the debris he threw up in the air and that Uraraka was levitating.
As the meteor storm she generated from
the rubble rains down on Bakugou, Uraraka rushes at him, ready to take an
opportunity. But the Explosive Quirk user blasts the rock shower with a huge
blast.
The attack is completely negated,
Bakugou at least subtly complimenting her by noting that he thought she’d had a
plan, since she hung out with Deku a lot.
As Uraraka tries to attack Bakugou
again, she collapses, at her weight limit with her Quirk. Unable to move, she
loses, Bakugou moving on as the chapter ends.
Seven Deadly Sins 120
As the chapter starts, everyone’s in
shock, unable to even move from fear. But Merlin asks Hawk to qualify Galan’s
Magic Level. Hawk notes it’s 0, which is some benefit. The others note that
this might be the best chance to beat him.
Galan notes that humans have gotten
more developed after 3 millennia, but he still sees them as insects with how
they swarm together. He says he needs some room, blasting away a portion of the
city with a swipe of his spear.
As Galan turns to face Meliodas, who
he’s always wanted to face in a match, the Dragon’s Sin rushes at him, slashing
at his neck. But Galan stabs Meliodas in the torso. It turns out it was one of
his Physical Clones, the others knocked away. Galan notes that they’re not
afterimages, one more Meliodas attacking from behind. Instead, Galan blocks
another attack from above, meaning Meliodas presumably used the maximum power
of Lostvayne to copy himself 5 times.
Meanwhile, Arthur and Elizabeth are
protected by Merlin in Perfect Cubes.
Diane rushes to help Meliodas, as
Merlin cancels the shrinking magic on her and teleports Gideon to her. But
Galan just kicks the hammer attack, smacking Diane in the head with her own
weapon.
Merlin moves to teleport Galan, but he
dodges her attack, appearing behind her as the chapter ends. The amazing part
is that he managed to jump a few miles into the air to avoid the range of
Merlin’s magic, suggesting that even without his ability, he has enough
strength to do some serious damage.
Next time we’ll have 30 pages and some
color in the start as well.
World Trigger 97
The chapter
begins as we see Kou preparing to take out Kumagai, Yuma and Akane, seeing as
he’s been separated from the rest of his group.
The bridge
has disrupted all the squads’ plans, Jin commenting that it’s especially tough
since they have to rely on their innate abilities, particularly the Attackers.
Kou and
Kumagai’s fight starts, Kumagai on the offensive against Kou’s combined Kogetsu
and Raygust assault. Yuma tries to knock him into the river from behind, but he
uses Raygust’s Thruster function to get back.
Akane says
she can snipe one of them, Kumagai saying she should focus on the one that’s
easier.
Meanwhile,
Osamu is having issues dodging Nasu’s Viper attacks.
Nasu is
attacked by Taichi from behind, thinking she can’t see his position. After
blocking, with the help of her Operator, she finds his position and fires a
barrage of Viper at him.
He manages to
dodge, protected by Kuruma Shielding him.
Tachikawa
notes that they had a good strategy of taking out Nasu, but she’s just too good
with Viper. Most people program trajectory ahead of time, but Izumi and Nasu
are skilled enough to do it in real time with the Viper.
The groups
are really in a stalemate now, the difficulty being who will fall in the
competitions of Suzunari and Tamakoma’s aces and the Gunners/Shooters on the
east side.
Osamu decides
to relay strategy. Chika is to focus on Suzunari’s Sniper and keep herself
hidden; only firing when absolutely necessary. Yuma is to concentrate on his
fight, while Osamu will get points on the east bank of the river.
The chapter
ends as we see Hyuse has been taken in by Tamakoma. They’re watching the match,
asking Hyuse who will win, the Neighbor saying that Tamakoma-2 doesn’t have a
chance as weak as they are.
One Piece 782
Trebol is in
shock as Luffy stops Doflamingo’s follow up attack, revealing they both have
Conqueror’s Haki. We see the flashback of Trebol commenting on Doflamingo’s
status as a “chosen king”, giving him the Devil Fruit and gun to exact his
revenge.
The Sticky Man
continues to comment on how different Doflamingo is from Luffy, comparing him
to a Hindu demon, that his whole life has shaped him into a monster.
Luffy and
Doflamingo clash, Luffy pushing the String Man back, even striking him with
Eagle Bazooka, but Doflamingo counters with Athlete’s Thread, knocking Luffy
into Trebol, who traps him with his Paramecia ability. Luffy tries to attack
him, but finds that he’s somehow blocking his Armament Haki from hitting him.
Trebol fires
off his Sticky Launcher, commenting on how he, Pica, Diamante and Vergo raised
Doflamingo as what he calls “Evil’s Champion”, taking his suffering and molding
him into the villain he is today.
But Law says
that Trebol is just being used by Doflamingo, who only needed them to further
his own ambitions.
Trebol moves
to stab Law, thinking he can’t do anything with his body stuck with the Stick
Stick Fruit’s power.
But Law,
still able to use his Room, takes the arm Doflamingo severed, holding his
nodachi, and has it spin and slash Trebol.
We see other
people, like Leo and the Tontatta, suddenly look towards the Royal Plateau,
feeling like their hearts are much lighter.
The chapter
ends as we see Trebol’s true form, thin and gangly, Law lighting his Stick
Stick goo on fire as an explosion results.
Bleach 622
Rukia and
Renji are shocked to see Aizen, who congratulates Rukia on her promotion to
vice captain.
Rukia asks
why Aizen is out of Muken. Shunsui explains that he thinks they need Aizen’s
power, which the others think doesn’t make sense.
Shunsui
explains that the principle of the Gotei 13 implies that they can fight evil
with evil.
Aizen asks
him to undo the other seals, but Shunsui refuses, saying that he thinks Aizen can
do it with only 3 seals undone.
The traitor
Soul Reaper responds that he doesn’t have that kind of power, but Shunsui says
Aizen doesn’t have much of a choice if he doesn’t want to get killed by the
Soul King’s power
Aizen
responds that he accepts, initiating Hadou 90, Kurohitsugi, vaporizing a group
of the eyeball monsters.
Byakuya tells
Kyouraku that releasing Aizen was a disgrace, the Captain Commander saying that
they can discuss this after they save Seireitei.
Everyone’s
amazed at Aizen’s power, Kisuke commenting that Aizen may have become even
stronger somehow. Aizen comments that the chair he’s in must be as strong as
the crucifix they used to execute Rukia.
The betrayer
further explains that they don’t even have to break the black curtain over
Seireitei, since his Black Coffin spell broke through it.
The gate to
the Royal Palace is breaking apart, Soifon worried about getting there. But
Aizen responds that since there’s a hole leading up to it, he can just shoot it
down as the chapter ends.
Toriko 319
We start with
a scene of Terry, Kiss and Quinn elsewhere. Kaka scared them by showing the
animals a piece of fur or skin. The unknown factor of what the Blue Nitro had
killed to get that paralyzed them in fear. They decided to split from Toriko
and the others, training independently.
Toriko and
the others find Denshark, Komatsu healing him with the Dark Technique we’d
heard about before that he’d used on Toriko after he fought Starjun. He’d
apparently figured it out around the end of the Cooking Fest when NEO attacked.
Komatsu
realizes Toriko’s arm is missing, Sani saying they can recover it later where
he got it.
Toriko and
Coco notice the presence of Terry’s group, suggesting they left the Denshark
here intentionally.
After
figuring out that they have to split ways with Terry’s group, they realize that
since the Denshark was healed, they can’t use it to travel down the mountain
like they did previously.
The other
monkeys from before appear, revealing their Camping Monster, the Kintounko, a
giant cloud of excrement. As the group leaves, 100 G Mountain begins to reform
itself.
The group is
amazed at the speed, the next page showing that this is actually a second one,
since the original Kintounko fled after we saw Bambina’s true form.
The chapter
ends as the group meets up with all the monkeys of the continent, ready to
drink Acacia’s soup, PAIR.
Toriko is on
break next week.
Fairy Tail 426
Happy asks about Avatar as the chapter starts, Lucy
explaining they’re a cult that worships Zeref.
Lucy is more confused about why Natsu thinks this will lead
them to Gray, Natsu explaining that Future Rogue told him that the Shadow
Dragon Slayer and Gray would fight in the future.
Natsu thought that Gray would be with Rogue, but since the
future may have changed, events and such might have also adjusted accordingly.
The Flame Dragon Slayer notes that Juvia did mention Gray’s
body was affected by the black mark that he manifested at the fight with Marde
Guile, so it’s possible he’s become an enemy. But he ensures Lucy that Gray is
still part of Fairy Tail.
Back at Avatar, Arlock is in the middle of praying to Zeref
when he’s interrupted by Jerome and Briar, who are worried the Magic Council
might be aware of their plans. Arlock tells them to leave, dismissing their
concerns for now.
The other members think it’s possible and if it’s the case,
that they would be at risk of their purification plan failing. But the major
issue is how they figured it out.
Gray brings up the obvious suspicion that it’s him, being
likely the newest member and thus the most likely as a mole from the Magic
Council.. Jerome notes that Gray has no reason to worship Zeref, since his
father, master and her child Ultear were killed by demons of Zeref or otherwise
got involved with Zeref and died.
Gray qualifies that his master’s daughter, thought dead, is
actually alive (meaning she’s just really old as I thought when that scene
happened in the manga and many thought she was dead).
The group still thinks he’s questionable with no motives to
be there. Gray then outright says his only goal is to get the Book of the End.
His only goal is to crush END and he’ll use any means necessary to do so, even
abandoning his guild.
Natsu’s group arrives at the headquarters, ready to bust
down the door.
Meanwhile, we see Gajeel and Pantherlily are members of the
Magic Council’s army, preparing to raid Avatar’s base as well as the chapter
ends.
