Kubo Taito of Bleach fame has released a one shot called Burn the Witch in Weekly Shounen Jump. It’s a fantasy series with some mild love comedy elements, where London, having an issue with dragons (general fantasy creatures in this universe rather than specifically the reptilian flying monsters), has a group called Wing Bind, formed by wizards and witches, to manage them. Noel and Ninnie, two members just doing harvesting, are called to exterminate a dragon, which turns out to be 2 dragons connected to Virgo, an acquaintance of Noel’s. But when he’s bitten by one of them, he becomes a were-dragon/dragon-possessed and has to be taken care of by Wing Bind, apparently a Western Branch of Soul Society from Bleach by the ending panel.

Dr. Stone 67

Gen and Senkuu are told by Nikki that the fake Lillian barely gets a grade of 55, but she also says that she can help them in fooling the others, Gen a bit worried

Nikki notes that the biggest concern now is Ukyo and his hearing, since he could discern the song as a recording if they play multiple times and he eventually hears it

Taiju suggests they just minimize the amount of times they play it, Yuzuriha thinking they can have it be played to a group and distract Ukyo to make it so he doesn’t hear it, Nikki agreeing

Gen notes that Ukyo was revived because he used to work sonar on a submarine and since he’s fighting Chrome and Magma, he wonders if they’ll be okay

We see Chrome, seemingly shot with Ukyo’s arrows, Magma claiming he’ll avenge his friend

But Chrome narrowly dodged the attacks by sheer luck, Magma using that opportunity to try and figure out where Ukyo’s shooting from. He fails, Chrome realizing that Ukyo’s also using the smokescreen to his advantage and mobility to keep them on the ropes

Thinking about how the arrows missed him so precisely even though Ukyo has such a precise visual range, Chrome deduces Ukyo must be intentionally missing, trying to capture them instead

He waves a white flag, Ukyo capturing and tying him up, which Magma sees with Chrome walking around restrained, to his frustration, fleeing the kingdom

We see that Ukyo and Chrome have an agreement now, Ukyo complimenting Chrome’s decision-making in the dangerous situation to keep Magma and Gen safe, though Chrome has to stop himself from getting into his flow and let more information slip

Chrome is brought before Tsukasa, truly captured and in the enemy’s territory fully

Magma returns to the village, explaining the situation of Chrome being Tsukasa’s prisoner. Kohaku is running to help him, but Senkuu, turning the telephone into a megaphone, stops her by calling her a lioness (something she hates)

Senkuu thinks their best move now is to collaborate with all of the village members to make an encampment near Tsukasa’s kingdom and mount a rescue operation

Suika, Gen and Kinrou all say that bringing the massive amount of science equipment with them by hand is impossible

Senkuu stuns Gen again as the chapter ends with him saying that they’ll make an automobile to transport their supplies on their mission.

We Never Learn 71

Yuiga is being embraced by Asumi as we flashback to 2 hours earlier to find out what led up to this

Asumi and Yuiga, doing a job as housekeepers from the maid café, arrive at a rich woman’s house, giving off a vibe that impresses them

But when it’s revealed that she doesn’t just have a cat as a pet, but an iguana, a tortoise and a ball python, among others, Yuiga’s worried that Asumi might freak out

She’s quite good with them, Yuiga’s worry making her joke that he’s jealous, petting him on the head as well

Yuiga heads off to feed other animals in another room, thinking that Asumi’s pretty cool.

When she comes in, Yuiga has found a hamster, called Hammy-chan, which she’s suddenly scared of. It jumps into her dress, Yuiga getting it out as she hugs him in fear, returning to the present

The hamster, afraid of Asumi, runs away, getting out of the house. Yuiga and Asumi go after it

Yuiga asks why she’s so scared of rodents, Asumi telling about how she was traumatized when she went to the house of a patient at her dad’s clinic where he was raising rats, a massive amount of them all over the house because of how fast they breed

The idea of Asumi being vulnerable makes Yuiga think it’s a bit cute, but that’s forgotten as he spots the hamster clinging to a branch

As they try to figure out how to get to it, a bird flies at the hamster, ready to eat it.

Asumi appears, grabbing Hammy-chan and scaring the bird away, Yuiga going along with her idea to tie the clothesline they had for work around her waist and lower her down

Afterwards, Asumi is relaxing in the bath, thinking that things went pretty well. But Hammy-chan appears before her, apparently greatly admiring her now

Yuiga contemplates how he can use this to his advantage to seem more reliable to Asumi so she won’t tease him

But that’s forgotten as Asumi runs into her room, barely having a towel to cover herself as Hammy-chan clings to her hair

The chapter ends as we see that Hammy-chan continues to try and meet Asumi, running away from home occasionally.

Fire Force 135

Shinra is confused at how Kurono’s Black Smoke affected him even though the blow didn’t make contact, wondering how to combat it.

Utilizing the Rapid technique, enhancing his speed, Kurono is still able to stop Shinra’s assault, easily deflecting him away twice.

Shinra, furious at Kurono for his abuse of the children, ignores the scientist telling him to use his Adora Burst

Kurono explains that his black smoke is connected to his senses, letting him perceive even the fastest attacks to counter them

Shinra doesn’t buy it, using a flurry of attacks to push Kurono back, but the Grim Reaper unleashes his smoke again

This time, he begins to solidify it into weapons like kunai and daggers, slashing Shinra after using smokescreens from the weapons exploding into smoke

After using Hidden Eclipse, a smokescreen covering a dual slash attack with daggers, Shinra is still standing, which impresses Kurono

But when the scientists ask him to take a break, Kurono instead unleashes his smoke to cover the window and the room’s temperature starts to increase

Another scientist comes in, saying that something’s happening to Nataku, the chapter ending as we see that Nataku’s arm is feeling hot and the Adora Burst is starting to activate.

Black Clover 166

We start a flashback, William speaking about how he was somewhat aware of Patri sharing his body with him and sympathizing with the elf, even using it as a way to keep persisting through his tough childhood.

After he grew up a bit, around age 9, he started seeing dreams, memories of Patri’s life, which inspired him to protect him even more.

When Julius approached him at 13, treating the boy as a regular person and not caring about his scar, William, after receiving the mask from the Wizard King, decided to dedicate his life to him as well.

At 16, Patri awakened and the two came to an understanding, William truly understanding that he was sharing his body with another soul

After they gained the ability to switch souls that controlled the body and their forms, William still felt divided between his loyalties: to Patri, like a sibling to him and Julius, a leader figure that inspired him to be a Magic Knight.

Patri made the choice for him in killing Julius, William deciding to sacrifice himself and let his friend continue on without him.

As Patri wakes up, realizing the resurrection is complete, he thanks his friend, going to find where Licht is (meaning Licht has been reincarnated elsewhere in the capital), the elf leaving the corpses of the others

But we see that Rades has managed to survive, his Soul Corpse magic having evolved as his soul was threatened by the elf soul, now able to return souls back into their body, reviving Sally and Valtos as well.

The chapter ends as the trio teleports to where Asta and the Black Bulls are, Rades saying that they will have their revenge (even though he also wanted to make Licht suffer)

One Piece 912

Luffy tells Tama straight out that Ace is dead, which she doesn’t believe, fainting at the thought.

The tengu, Hitetsu, is angry at Luffy for not knowing that there should be some tact in revealing such a thing to someone.

Hitetsu also explains how every place except the Flower Capital has become part of a lawless region only controlled by Kaidou’s goons, including X Drake and Basil Hawkins, some of the Headliners

Amigasa Village, where Hitetsu and Tama came from, was one such place and when Ace’s crew washed ashore, they tied them up and took their food. But Ace, after freeing himself, just asked for dessert, not angry at them. The crew even stayed a few weeks, Tama growing attached to them

Luffy decides to take Tama to get medical help, Hitetsu telling him to dress in a kimono so as not to stand out. But the Straw Hat takes a sword he found, the tengu warning him that it’s cursed.

Tama wakes up as Luffy continues on, Komacchiyo offering him a ride. She’s angry that he’d say Ace is dead so casually as we learn that Ace promised that she could join his crew when he returns if she becomes a great kunoichi.

The trio then gets through a bamboo grove, finding that indeed, a lot of Wano is a wasteland, populated by vicious monsters, like a giant tiger, boar and even a croco-shark.

Luffy is warned by Tama that he can’t eat the beasts, since they’ve drank from the polluted water, but she says that there is a place where Orochi and Kaidou get clean food and water.

As Tama falls unconscious, her fever getting worse, Luffy heads out. He sees a woman fleeing from some men, but someone else knocks them away, defeating the bandits.

The woman and others with her thank him, but the man says he just wanted their booze, Luffy recognizing him as Zoro.

They both catch up briefly, though Zoro and Luffy ignore the warning Tama gave the Straw Hat, eating some of the food Zoro had.

Suddenly, Basil appears, saying that he’s been searching for Zoro, still labeled a criminal and concludes that Luffy was the one who beat up his subordinates on Kuri Beach.

The chapter ends as Zoro and Luffy decide to square off against Basil, thinking they can apologize for causing a disturbance even though Kinemon warned them not to.

One Piece is on break next week

My Hero Academia 191

Endeavor recognizes Dabi as the villain who attacked Snatch, but Dabi just utilizes his Quirk to surround Endeavor, himself and Hawks with flames, blocking out other Heroes.

Hawks says he’ll hold off Dabi, but Dabi responds that he’s really just here for the Noumu

When Dabi rushes to attack, Mirko manages to push him back, ready to assist the other Heroes.

Dabi, asking for help from someone called Ujiko, disappears into a liquid, similar to when the League of Villains was teleported by All For One in Kamino, Mirko unable to catch him.

The news reporter thanks Endeavor and Hawks for saving everyone at the risk of their own lives, the events finally concluding

Later, we see Dabi and Hawks meeting, the two actually having planned things out. Hawks objects to the Noumu’s attack in the city as well as it being much stronger, but Dabi says that Hawks bringing the #1 Hero changed the plan as well in terms of the scale, also noting that he needed to make sure Hawks was trustworthy.

It’s revealed that Hawks is allied with the League of Villains, providing information that he acquires as a Hero in order to aid Dabi and the others

But we learn that Hawks was actually assigned to be a double agent to gain more information for the Hero side to combat the League of Villains in the future, Hawks a prime candidate because of his attitude

The chapter ends as Hawks apologizes to Endeavor for his betrayal and we see Dabi seemingly crying after he realized he did kill Snatch

Seven Deadly Sins 275

Mael recognizes Gowther as connected to the Ten Commandments, King saying that Gowther shouldn’t have revealed such a thing.

But Gowther says it’s for the best, Mael rushing at him and smashing the doll into a wall, berating him for all he’s made the Goddess Clan member do in the Holy War and to the present.

He then blasts Gowther away, catching up and pinning him with his foot as Mael asks him why this had to be done and why he was targeted.

Gowther explains that with Meliodas’ betrayal, the power balance between the Goddess and Demon Clan needed to be corrected and Mael was considered the strongest to be used as a traitor for the Goddess Clan. But the Holy War had already begun and the Goddess Clan, to avoid further casualties and losses, used the Coffin of Everlasting Darkness and ended the conflict.

Mael is unsatisfied with that, planning to inflict 1/1000 of the suffering he experienced onto the doll. But as he discovers that Gowther doesn’t feel pain like others, he’s further frustrated

King bursts in and knocks Mael away, telling Gowther that the Seven Deadly Sins stick together when one of their own is in trouble

Mael moves to kill King, but he defends himself with Chastiefol and counterattacks. However, the Goddess then uses Arrow of Salvation, striking King and inflicting suffering on him that is due to the nature of the attack, normally killing Demons painlessly. Gowther begs him to stop, but Mael still intends to make Gowther suffer, even if it’s emotionally rather than physically

King, in spite of his injury, utilizes Chastiefol’s true form and unleashes Spear of Judgment on Mael, but he’s able to block it, saying that this will let him continue to try and stop him so he can prolong Gowther’s punishment

Sariel shocks Tarmiel when he says they will help the Seven Deadly Sins. The Archangel protests his ally’s idea, since King is defending Gowther who made Mael out to be a Demon.

But Sariel insists that they must save Mael, since with his form as an Archangel, he’s gaining control of the Commandments, which is beginning to corrupt his body with the power of darkness.

Gowther tells King to stop, willing to sacrifice himself to save the others. King retorts that if he really values other people, he shouldn’t be so willing to give up so quickly.

Mael prepares to attack Gowther and King again, but the chapter ends as we see Sariel and Tarmiel move to attack Mael as well.
