Dr. Stone 66
We learn the girl that Taiju and
Yuzuriha want to convince to go with them to Senkuu’s grave is called Nicky,
and that she’s suspicious of them, tasked with watching the two to make sure
they aren’t spies.
She even says she won’t listen to
anything they say that has more than 3 syllables (likely characters in
Japanese), Taiju provoking her as she punches him in the face. After doing it a
few times, Taiju says he’ll let her keep doing it as long as she lets them
reveal what Senkuu has discovered
Nicky is shocked at the idea of a
telephone in modern times and even more shocked when it’s Lillian’s voice on
the line.
Senkuu, alias Sebastian, serves as
her translator to Japanese and conveys the message about the United States
being rebuilt.
Nicky is skeptical, bringing up that
Lillian was in space, but Gen covers for that saying she was revived recently
from stone after coming back to Earth.
But things become more awkward when
Nicky reveals that she is a huge fan of Lillian Weinberg’s music and would kill
anyone who misused her music for their own agenda, Senkuu and Gen thinking this
could be bad.
Senkuu manages to deduce that with
the cost of a seat on the Soyuz and deriving other factors like how much
Lillian would make on touring and such, estimating about 60 million copies,
which Gen goes with
Nicky has one more question,
inquiring about what Lillian’s measurements are.
Senkuu deduces based on a picture he
got from his father when he was on the spacecraft, but Nicky thinks something’s
off as Gen says those are the real measurements rather than what publicity
would tell her.
This makes Nicky claim that they
aren’t the real Lillian Weinberg.
Gen wonders what they should do,
Senkuu betting on the disc, playing it into the speaker
Lillian’s music is recognized as the
real deal by Nicky, but she also realizes that Lillian herself is likely dead,
the disc the only thing that’s survived.
When she inquires about reviving
more of her music with science, Senkuu admits that it’s impossible with how
short lived most recording mediums are, but he promises he will keep this one
preserved
This moves Nicky in terms of how
blunt and straightforward he is, even saying she might be falling for him,
which makes him a bit nervous
The chapter ends as Senkuu says he
and Nicky share one thing in common especially: wanting to keep Lillian’s music
safe, which convinces her to join their side
We Never Learn 70
Yuiga and Rizu go to study, but find
the library full of students. Rizu remembers that the biology lab is open, the
two going there to have a tutoring session
Since Rizu has advanced into her
studies, Yuiga thinks the next step is for her to improve her vocabulary,
especially with words she’s not familiar with. He suggests she compile a
notebook of them, Rizu thinking she’ll need more than just one, which he agrees
with
Yuiga comes back with a notebook,
hearing some students talk about the biology lab being cursed, which he thinks
is connected to why Sekijo recommended it to Rizu as a place for them to be
alone (though he doesn’t understand her intent to set them up)
He comes back, thinking the rumor is
as silly as the one for the cultural festival, but when the skeleton starts to
seem like it’s looking at them and getting closer, Yuiga is panicking
Rizu moves to look behind her, but
Yuiga holds her head, saying it’s not important. She thinks he’s worried about
her focus, which she says she’ll maintain.
Yuiga messages Sekijou about the
skeleton, but gets a weird message back from her, which makes him shocked and
throw his smartphone, which lands in Rizu’s cleavage
She’s a bit flustered as he pulls it
out, but turns to see the skeleton, both of them panicking as Yuiga hides her
eyes and holds her head to his chest.
Rizu wonders if she’s being hugged
by Yuiga and whether her heartbeat is increased because of fear or if she’s in
love as Sekijou claims she is.
Sekijou comes in, explaining that
the skeleton has been upgraded to be able to move on its own with batteries and
such and that her phone is a bit buggy, which is why the message was so
bizarre.
As Sekijou goes to check, Yuiga
thinks that it’s just like the saying that if you check closely, it’s a normal
explanation for something seemingly paranormal.
But as Sekijou says her phone was
acting up when she was fixing the skeleton before, it’s discovered there are no
batteries in the skeleton. Yuiga and Rizu run, thinking it’s actually cursed
somehow as the chapter ends with Sekijou confused at their reaction
Fire Force 134
Shinra and Licht arrive at the Skill
Development Facility, which according to Licht moves around a lot to keep
things secret, for whatever they’re doing.
The two enter, security seeming much
together as Licht comments that he’s excited to see the facility and possibly
meet Kurono, known as the craziest person, in contrast to Shinmon being known
as the strongest person.
Shinra tells Licht he shouldn’t
think that he’s doomed as a spy, since the 8th has been helped by him so many
times.
Licht thinks to himself that it’s
sad that Shinra still trusts him so, even though his connection to Joker also
motivates his attitude, using the 8th in a way to provoke Haijima and get
closer to the truth
A member of the facility welcomes
them, though Shinra is insistent that they’re abusing the children. We see some
of them being entertained by a puppeteer and learn that Nataku is in a different
facility, since he’s considered special
Shinra suddenly hears a voice,
clearly Nataku contacting him through the Adora Link
.
As they start the tests to help
Haijima learn more about Adora Burst, we see Kurono approach Shinra, commenting
that he seems weak enough now that he’ll have fun devouring him
Shinra pushes back, the test
beginning as Kurono releases black smoke from his right arm
This starts to make Shinra collapse,
his senses somehow affected as we see the technique is called Eclipsing Right (possibly
Eclipsing Light because that fits with the sun and heat themes in the series),
the chapter ending as some of Kurono’s power is shown
Black Clover 165

capital, Luck senses 3 elves in the first town of the common region, Hekairo.
One of the possessed Magic Knights
is Xerx, the Saint of Pure Ice
But they sense the Black Bulls
approaching, another making a giant earth wall that is easily broken through as
Henry changes the hideout to Battle Mode
Charmy, Vanessa and Grey keep people
safe with their magic, while Rouge keeps the base protected from the attacks of
the elves’ powerful magic
Magna, Luck and Gordon utilize their
magic, Henry firing them out with cannons installed in the base
The three Magic Knights then decided
to try and attack the townspeople instead, but Asta is shot out of the cannon
and strikes them with his new antimagic sword as the chapter ends
One Piece 911
Luffy, after telling the fighting
animals to not attack his ship, remembers what happened. Sanji took Carrot and
Nami, jumping on Luffy after he ballooned himself up with his Gum Gum powers.
But before Luffy could leave, the octopus from before grabbed him
After wondering whether he’s in Wano
or fell down the waterfall again, Luffy then realizes he lost the Vivre Card,
though he doesn’t think it’s a huge deal
Meanwhile, someone has been captured
by a group of soldiers from Wano for being associated with the Kouzuki clan
(those connected with Momonosuke’s father the former shogun Oden).
They spot the animals fighting, the
baboon apparently part of their guard while the dog is a komainu (something
like a lion dog in East Asian mythology, also seen in China). Luffy thwarts
their attempts to tranquilize him, managing to smash one of them off their
mount with a punch, even pushing another off with a punch that causes an
explosion
The baboon moves to fight Luffy
after he’s commanded to take him down, but the Straw Hat stares him down into
submission and the other soldier is knocked out by their prisoner hitting them
on the head with a stick
We see the prisoner, called Otama,
reveal she has some kind of Devil Fruit power, pulling a dango off her cheek to
feed to the baboon. It tries to attack, but when she throws the dango in its
mouth, it becomes tame
She explains to Luffy that she was
captured while shopping and said something taboo related to the Kouzuki clan,
the komainu, called Komacchiyo, defending her from the baboon. Otama is
grateful to Luffy, saying he’s one of the pirates she trusts.
The two head off into what is called
the Kuri province of Wano, seemingly abandoned except for Otama and her master,
Otama saying she wants to be a kunoichi when she grows up
Otama cooks a bowl of rice for
Luffy, though he’s disappointed when she reveals that’s all they had.
Suddenly, a tengu bursts in, angry
at Luffy for eating the rice that Otama is only permitted 2 times a year, this
time for her 8th birthday, normally only eating millet after she sells the
straw hats she weaves daily.
But Otama begs the tengu to forgive
Luffy, since she gave it to him as thanks for saving her life. She collapses
after coughing up the water she dranks, the tengu revealing it’s poisoned from
waste produced by Kaidou’s plants
Otama is said to have been waiting
there for a pirate named Ace to return, Luffy shocked at this revelation
The chapter ends as Basil Hawkins is
told about pirates landing on Kuri Beach, saying that he’ll handle this and
that his subordinates should keep this secret from Kaidou for now.
My Hero Academia 190
We see High End acting more erratic
as Endeavor and Wings continue their attack. Endeavor makes contact, but the
Noumu pushes back, his regeneration still able to keep up even though he’s
being burned from inside his mouth
Hawks wonders if they can possibly
win at this rate, but Endeavor refuses to give up, people viewing like Shoto and
his other kids encouraging him
With the last of his effort, Hawks
manages to push Endeavor into the sky, where the Hell Flame Hero unleashes
Prominence Burn with even more power, inspired by the Plus Ultra motto of Yuuei
and All Might
Endeavor crashes down, standing up
barely as he holds up a fist in imitation of All Might. Hawks praises him,
saying this will be his beginning, even if Endeavor thinks it wasn’t that great
The chapter ends as we see that Dabi
was nearby watching, greeting Endeavor with a smirk
Seven Deadly Sins 274
King and the others are confused at Estarossa’s
appearance, but Gowther steps forward, explaining that this is the true form of
“Estarossa”, the Archangel Mael, the other Archangels confused at this
We flashback to Mael showing off a new hairstyle,
imitating his brother, which Sariel and Tarmiel find a bit silly, though
Elizabeth says it suits him.
Mael defeats a Demon, Rueduciel praising him, even
saying his brother will surpass him one day
We’re told about how Mael was encouraged to kill
Demons, his brother saying it would free their souls from wicked bodies.
Mael became the strongest of the Four Archangels,
even called the Angel of Death, but Elizabeth still didn’t recognize him,
choosing Meliodas instead. This angered him, like a sword through his heart
Gowther’s spell affects Mael’s memories, though his
soul still seems to recognize how the new behavior doesn’t make sense, shocked
at changing into Estarossa’s appearance
As Mael realizes these past memories and the guilt
of them begins to overwhelm him, he asks who did this to him
The chapter ends as Gowther reveals he cast the
spell and the responsibility lies with him.
