One Piece is off this week
Tsunehiro Date brings us a new Jump
Start this week, Cross Account. Our main character tries to present himself as
normal, but on his other social media account, he’s gathered many follows. One
in particular encourages him to stop lying to himself and he saves his friend
from being molested by other otaku. We find out that it’s very likely that his
first crush he confessed to his follower about is that follower, a popular idol
singer.
Poro’s Daily Demon Diary, a Jump
Start that ran right after U19, was cancelled in this week’s issue. I’m curious
if it has anything to do with Hunter X Hunter’s return, though I’m skeptical if
it will last more than a few months at most
Dr. Stone 16
Senkuu reiterates his plan to meet
up with the group that lit the signal fires before, but he’s worried that they
may encounter Tsukasa.
As Tsukasa is heading off elsewhere,
he does meet one of them, a blue eyed blonde girl. But Tsukasa thinks he can’t
let his guard down as she rushes at him, using a bouquet of flowers to hide
daggers and a shield.
Tsukasa wonders who she is to have
this kind of fighting talent, the girl not listening to his excuses, saying she
knows that he’s evil in spite of only seeing things from a distance, seemingly
having visual acuity that’s far beyond a normal human.
But the girl referring to Senkuu,
who she saw get killed, as a sorcerer, and the explosions as the wrath of the
mountain makes Tsukasa think she must not be someone who was revived from
petrification, but someone actually born in this world from others who were
revived.
He doesn’t want to kill her,
chopping down a tree to pin her down as he leaves for the nitric acid cave.
Senkuu comes across the girl, asking
if she’s okay or if he should blast her free with the last of his gunpowder.
She says her organs are fine and that she can endure.
With some perseverance and ingenuity
Senkuu puts together a series of pulleys, allowing him to pull the tree off the
girl.
She’s amazed at his abilities,
introducing herself as Kohaku and saying she may have fallen in love with him
as the chapter ends on Senkuu’s shocked reaction
We Can’t Study 19
Yuiga asks Fumino if she knows why
Rizu and Uruka’s grades have dropped, Fumino hesitating to tell him directly
about the two of them having feelings for him. Instead she decides to pose it
as a problem of a woman’s heart that Yuiga has to figure out for himself.
Uruka confides in her friends about
the concern of Yuiga having a girlfriend, but they tell her that she should
just try to make him focus on her to get his attention and win him over
Yuiga is thinking to himself that
with Fumino’s advice about considering Rizu and Uruka’s feelings that he
might’ve gotten too close with them, embarrassed at the idea and wanting to
maintain a professional distance.
Uruka appears, her friends’
suggestions of opening her blouse a bit more to show cleavage and shorten her
skirt by 3cm having a mixed effect, both her and Yuiga embarrassed as they
decide to walk home together.
The two of them have the exact
opposite intents, Uruka wanting to close the distance, while Yuiga wants to
increase it. They keep trying to get closer and further, eventually getting
lost as they weren’t paying attention to where they were going.
Coming across a shrine for academic
and romantic success, they both go to pay a visit.
It starts to rain, making them
unable to leave. Yuiga asks Uruka about her praying really hard at the shrine,
Uruka confessing it was romantic luck she wanted rather than the academic.
Uruka lies back, following her
friends’ advice to act defenseless by acting like she’s asleep, thinking that
will draw Yuiga’s attention.
Meanwhile, Yuiga is still confused
at the situation, not only because Uruka has implied she has someone she likes
but her being in such a state that he has to resist his urges to look at her
with lewd thoughts.
Uruka feels something like Yuiga
petting her head, but then what seems to be licking as she panics, sitting up
to discover that three of the stray cats in the area want food from her.
The pair walks down the steps as the
rain stops, Yuiga bringing up Uruka’s outfit and how it’s making him nervous,
suggesting that she should only wear that in front of the guy she likes,
dangerous otherwise (which is better than just telling her to dress modestly
all the time, which can be a Japanese stereotype that is mixed in its message).
Uruka agrees, the chapter ending as Yuiga notices a few days later that her
grades are going up and Fumino wonders if she’s gotten over her insecurities
Black Clover 115
It seems like Asta will be struck by
the attacks from the three Magic Knights, but suddenly three barriers appear,
reflecting the attacks back at their users, used by the fake Zaks.
Curtis barely managed to defend the
crystal, which has a few cracks in it now. “Zaks” moves to destroy the crystal
at point blank range
Zaks is about to attack, but Curtis
curses his own weakness, losing to someone who insulted the Wizard King. But
“Zaks” retorts that losing to someone like him means that Curtis and his bunch
aren’t fit to be Magic Knights, needing to be able to account for various
situations.
Mimosa notices that “Zaks” is using
Ash magic, meaning that the paralysis trap wasn’t Curtis’ doing, but “Zaks’”.
It seems like “Zaks” doesn’t intend to destroy the crystal, saying he has
another goal, but turns around and smashes the crystal anyway, ensuring their
team’s victory
As the other team is being healed,
“Zaks” compliments Asta and Mimosa for being a good distraction, but Asta is
infuriated, asking why “Zaks” would trick them like that.
“Zaks” says that they won, so Asta
shouldn’t be so bitter, since he served well to draw the attacks that were then
reflected and allowed him to destroy the opposing team’s crystal.
Mimosa further analyzes “Zaks’”
spell, something he must’ve prepared ahead of time to first paralyze whoever
stepped into it and then reflect the spells that came into its area a certain
amount of time afterwards.
She’s amazed that he did such a
thing, asking how he managed it when he was supposed to be asleep, “Zaks” just
saying he needs to be mysterious as a man.
Magna and Sol appear, saying they
need to fight on this stage next.
The chapter ends as their third
member introduces themselves, Kirsch Vermillion, who Mimosa reveals is her
older brother and thus both the cousin of Noelle and Meleoleona’s family as
well (the situation is complicated, siblings shared on each side of the family
without it being incestuous to my knowledge)
Black Clover will be off next week:
thankfully it’s nothing serious, Tabata-sensei is apparently having some asthma
problems, which will hopefully be resolved by the following issue
Boku no Hero Academia 143
Amajiki ties up and lightly poisons
the three Bullets that he defeated, but as he leaves to catch up with the
others, he faints, seemingly weakened enough by the battle to not be able to
fight anymore
Kirishima and Deku are still
slightly worried about Suneater, but Fatgum encourages them, saying they can’t
waste the time he’s given them.
Aizawa wonders why Mimic hasn’t
chased after them, thinking he can’t perceive this far away, only merging with
the underground and having to peek out with his real body in order to
manipulate things to get in their way, also occupied by the police squad that
followed behind them.
Mimic, appearing out of the wall to
look below, is surprised that the three Bullets lost against Suneater, but says
they have someone else that’ll pose a real threat.
Meanwhile, the members captured by
Bubble Girl and Centipeder tell her that their group isn’t really a Villain
group, following the yakuza code. They think that Overhaul’s changed from what
the original boss was like, becoming more like a Villain, but nonetheless
thinking he won’t get captured
Aizawa is targeted by Mimic,
manifesting a pillar to try and hit him, Fatgum getting in the way to take the
blow so the others can continue ahead.
Fatgum discovers Kirishima also
tried to cover for Aizawa, getting sucked into Fatgum temporarily.
Kirishima narrowly manages to block
a series of blows from another assailant. Fatgum sees him beaten up, barely
standing, as he attacks in return.
But another member manifests a barrier,
protecting the attacker, called Rappa (Japanese for ruffian).
Fatgum takes another flurry of blows
from Rappa, damaged more than he thought, the combo especially dangerous, since
he and Kirishima are more defensive oriented.
The barrier user comments as much,
referring to their combo as a spear and shield while Kirishima and Fatgum are
merely a shield and shield, though he says Kirishima in spite of his
Unbreakable Mode, seems to be lacking as a shield.
Kirishima starts to doubt himself,
but Fatgum says they can’t give up, needing to win this fight and join up with
the others as the chapter ends
Magi 352
Alibaba unleashes Amol Saiqa, but
David regenerates the damage almost immediately, similar to when Aladdin,
Hakuryuu and Alibaba fought Sinbad in the Baal dungeon.
David says he will finish what
Sinbad started, Alibaba and the others vowing to stop him
However, David targets Aladdin, who
narrowly pushes away his attacks. He wonders if David wants to get Solomon’s
Wisdom from him, but thinks that wouldn’t make sense if he’s already the master
of the Sacred Palace.
David comments that he feels nothing
for Aladdin in spite of him being his grandson (on Solomon’s side), saying he
must kill him.
But before he can attack again,
Sinbad bursts out of David, along with Arba, splitting him in half
Ugo wonders why this happened,
Sinbad saying he had plans in case David betrayed him.
It seems the power of the 7 Djinn
under Sinbad’s control allowed him to invert the power hierarchy again.
David comments that his opponents
are impressive, but Sinbad asks him why he’d even bother to appear before them
when all he needed to do was activate the magic to return everything to the
rukh.
Arba thinks that David wouldn’t be
this direct, wanting to contain them in the Sacred Palace instead. She
concludes that this means David’s real body must be somewhere else.
Aladdin plans to use Solomon’s
Wisdom and escape, but David moves to stop them
Suddenly black bolts of lightning
strike David as Judal and Hakuryuu appear to support the others, all of them
attacking David to allow Aladdin to escape.
The chapter ends as Aladdin
teleports out with Solomon’s Wisdom, moving to find David’s true body.
Seven Deadly Sins 222
Elizabeth is still confused at
Zeldris’ revelation, the Piety explaining that she’s been cursed to reincarnate
and lose all her memories, always meeting with Meliodas again. He notes it’s
happened nearly 50 times now.
But to his shock, Elizabeth seems
very happy, the one thing she’s wanted to be true actually the case. She thinks
that Meliodas suffered more because of the curse than her, someone that he
always tried to stay by and help.
Zeldris says if she wants to know so
bad, he’ll show her the depth of her sins, seemingly attacking her.
But we shift to the physical world,
Ban, Diane and King all running to the Boar’s Hat as they see a flash of light.
Merlin explains that Elizabeth broke
Zeldris’ spell that had her in a deep sleep, thanking her and Escanor for
helping in their own ways, though Escanor still wonders about what Merlin meant
when she said Arthur was her hope
Elizabeth rebuffs Meliodas’ attempts
to talk to her, saying she wants to be alone for a while. Hawk finds her downstairs,
crying, but she says she’s not sad, truly happy about the knowledge that she’s
been this close to Meliodas all these centuries.
We see the Seven Deadly Sins bid
farewell to everyone in Liones, ready to take Camelot back from the Ten
Commandments.
Merlin says it won’t be that easy, a
massive dimensional distortion making her unable to teleport in or use Absolute
Cancel
But she knows where the distortion
is being generated from, somewhere in the vicinity of the stronghold Corand,
destroyed many years ago.
Gowther observes they’ll be going
through another familiar place, wanting to stop by on their way.
King thinks he’s heard the name, but
finds he can’t contact Helbram.
The friend of Harlequin is speaking
to Elaine, which they both acknowledge is an indication that Elaine isn’t quite
alive anymore, but not quite dead either.
Where they’re heading is also
important to them, which suggests it may be the Fairy King’s Forest or the Land
of the Dead.
The chapter ends as Elaine comments
that she’s worried about what will happen when Ban realizes who lies ahead of
them on their journey, Merascylla seemingly still alive after Ban was said to
have killed her by Estarossa.
Fairy Tail 540
Natsu realizes that he’s before Acnologia, looking
around to see Wendy and the other Dragon Slayers encased in crystal pillars.
Acnologia explains that after eating the Ravines of
Time, he’s utilized the time-space magic to control the pocket dimension, planning
to destroy the rest of the world and finish off all the Dragons here
Meanwhile, Erza and the others are shocked at
Wendy’s disappearance, noticing that Acnologia’s heading for Magnolia.
Ichiya and Anna appear from the cracks in the
Ravines of Time, their survival another surprise to the group.
But Anna realizes something after Erza tells her
that Acnologia seemingly absorbed Wendy, thinking that the Apocalypse Dragon
has lost control of the power he acquired from eating the time space magic
Now his body and soul are separate, his physical
form rampaging through the world causing massive destruction, while his soul is
in the Ravines of Time using the magic of the captured Dragon Slayers to
stabilize his own powers
Anna says they can’t do anything now but believe
that the Dragon Slayers will survive, Erza moving to swim towards Magnolia.
Mest appears, saying they’ll work together to protect their hometown.
We see Natsu being slowly covered by crystals as
Acnologia is nearing completion with his plan.
Mest and Erza teleport near Lucy, explaining that
Natsu is alive, but Erza is stunned to see that Makarov is alive.
Natsu finds he can’t even move his right arm,
Acnologia saying that he was lucky to only have crippled that arm in his fight
against Zeref.
The group in the physical world thinks that their
friends won’t lose even if things seem hopeless here, all the Exceed especially
confident in their Dragon Slayer partners.
Natsu continues to struggle and is shocked to see
that he can move, Wendy and the other Dragon Slayers freed through the
connections they have to their friends, crossing space and time to give them
newfound power to start their fight against Acnologia.
The chapter ends as we see the 7 Dragon Slayers
stand off against Acnologia, who says he’ll have to teach them why he’s called
the Dragon King
