Black Clover 77

Yami, along with Asta, Charmy and Finral, arrive at Kiten, some of them astounded at the giant tree William summoned with his magic. The Shadow Mage goes to assess things, leaving the protection of the citizens to Asta and the others.

Brocos uses his magic to lift himself up to William’s level, moving to attack him with a blast of his red clay. William throws a seed at him, which suddenly explodes into a tree, to the Diamond Kingdom Mage’s surprise, thinking it was nothing

With Brocos defeated, William just notices Lotus trying to attack him from behind, but Yami slashes through his Smoke magic to assist.

Lotus remembers Yami from the past, William telling the Smoke Mage to retreat after he compliments Yami’s power, noting how he doesn’t want to mess with them.

Lotus retreats, Yami telling William they need to talk one on one now that they’re together so conveniently, likely about his suspicions in connection to the Eye of the Midnight Sun.

Asta’s group is guiding the citizens, but they notice Yuno fighting Ragus.  The Shining General is frustrated at how powerful Yuno is compared to him. He moves to attack with his “beautiful” magic again, but Yuno strikes him down with a massive sword of wind, sending him crashing into a wall as he says nothing like that exists on the battlefield.

Yuno notices Asta, complimenting him on how strong he’s become, the chapter ending on the rivals’ reunion.

Boku no Hero Academia 106

We’re told by the announcer that things have sped up with over 50 students passing, meaning over 200 students have been eliminated, Todoroki one of those who has passed.

Todoroki notices that his targets have all lit up, highly advanced technology that requires a special key to remove them.

He meets up with Inasa, who notices him, forgetting what he was talking about with another student as he moves to talk to Todoroki.

Meanwhile, Deku is still trying to fight the Shiketsu girl, but is assisted by Sero, along with Ochako, who push her back to retreat, regretting she couldn’t learn more about why Deku wants to become a Hero.

We learn that about 58 have passed, the time crunch coming for who will pass and fail the exam.

Deku thinks the Shiketsu girl’s Quirk allows her to cover up her targets and her clothes (causing her to appear naked), making her an opponent they don’t want to focus on.  In the meantime, he thinks that the bigger groups will start to trim down because of the competition with regards to getting the points as you target smaller groups.

Sero wonders why Deku asked them to group together, Deku saying that it’s because that’s the key to the exam: knowing your Quirks and teaming up to suppress opponents so you can easily divvy out the points instead of relying on luck in hitting them from a distance.

They hear some people coming, Deku offering to be a decoy while Sero and Uraraka immobilize them. Ochako trusts him, agreeing to his plan as we shift elsewhere.

Kaminari is panicking, Bakugou telling him to get lost. But the Lightning Hero brings up how Kirishima’s been defeated, twisted into some blob, along with other students.

The Shiketsu student says that he respected Yuuei High, but Shiketsu holds itself to such high standards that Class 1-A’s students have disappointed him greatly, manifesting his Quirk in some ethereal looking tentacles from his back.

Bakguou doesn’t care, ready to fight as we move to Joke and Aizawa talking.

She wonders if he’s worried about Class A, since they can’t tell who passed due to Shindou wrecking the landscape with his Quirk.

But Aizawa responds that he’s confident they can pass and that there are 2 students, Bakugou and Deku, who stand at the center, inspiring their fellow classmates to get better, the chapter ending as we see them fighting and aiding others respectively.

World Trigger 157

Ikoma finds he can’t keep up with Yuma’s speed, but can’t engage in long range combat either because of Chika’s sniping distracting him.

Yuma is being occupied by Ikoma and Mizukami, the commentators thinking that they’re not going further into the Wire zones because they want Oki to take out Chika to allow them to have a bigger advantage.

Chika, with Usami’s help, manages to avoid Oki’s sniping, forcing him to change locations, Ouji also posing a mild threat to Tamakoma-2’s Sniper.

Ikoma wants to stop dawdling, but he’s reminded that this tactic is their best way to occupy Yuma without getting into a dangerous range where he has the advantage with agility, not to mention Mantis is a risk they don’t want to take in directly confronting its mobility and distance.

Yuma decides to use Grasshopper to fling a piece of debris at Mizukami, distracting him so Chika can hit him with Lead Bullet.

But Ouji’s the one to get the kill, the agent Bailing Out after his decapitation.

Ikoma counters by taking out one of Ouji’s feet, affecting his mobility so he can’t go after the Snipers.

The formation is further cemented at how effective it can be as we see Chika changing locations and even the type of shot she uses, sometimes blasting with Ibis and sometimes utilizing Iron Bullet + Lightning. And if someone wants to stop her, they have to get into the Wire zone, where Yuma has an advantage in mobility and positioning for attack.

Kitazoe is asked about how he would counter the strategy, he and Izumi both collaborating with the idea to blast away the buildings with Meteora to cut down on the wires, even if it means that the Sniper has a better field of vision.

Oki still poses a threat to Chika as a fellow Sniper, managing to keep her occupied, which allows Ouji to get into the Wire zone to engage Yuma and Ikoma in a 1v1v1 match

However, Ikoma decides to just slash away at the houses with his Kogetsu, creating more disruptions in the Wires to affect Yuma.

Ouji tries to close in, but Yuma, using a Spider wire or Grasshopper, it's not quite clear, moves a piece of debris with a Spider wire connected to it and trips Ouji

This allows Yuma to get the 3rd point for Tamakoma 2, stabbing Ouji with 2 Scorpion blades as the chapter ends.

Seven Deadly Sins 191

Merlin’s appearance seems to perturb even Greyroad to an extent, Hauser moving to block the attack he readies. He’s hit with Five Lost, negating all 5 of his major senses.

He accepts his seeming death, but Merlin quickly dispels it with her Absolute Cancel, Greyroad unleashing a swarm of bugs at her.

Merlin blasts it away with Exterminate Ray, a giant laser creating a massive hole in the castle, even taking out one of Greyroad’s faces.

With that, the Commandment of Pacifism should activate, but nothing happens to the Demon’s shock. Ban asks if she’s even human. Merlin simply saying she’s not immortal like Ban.

Merlin explains that she was always seeking more knowledge and with the scientific process taking so much time, there was never any possibility she’d be able to do so with a limited amount of lifespan she had. So she stopped her own time, which is the counter to the Commandment of Pacifism.

Greyroad thinks it’s ludicrous, since the amount of power she’d need would be exceedingly high to maintain it.

Merlin explains that her unique magical power, like Ban’s Snatch or King’s Disaster, is Infinity, which allows her to maintain any spell infinitely as long as she doesn’t negate it herself, meaning when she stopped her own time, that spell persists even to this day.

Greyroad persists, saying that it’s still unimaginable that Merlin broke out of Galan’s Commandment of Truth petrifying her.

Merlin notes that she is the daughter of Belialin, so she naturally has some resistance to the Commandment’s curses gifted to them by the Demon King.

Fraudrin and Greyroad are stunned at this revelation, thinking that she must be lying. But as Merlin speaks her true name in Demonic tongue, they think she is truly the last survivor.

Greyroad splits themselves into multiple pieces, retreating from Merlin.

But the Boar’s Sin unleashes a massive whirlwind, sucking the Commandment back and into a test tube as the chapter ends on her seeming defeat of the Pacifism.

Magi 319

Sinbad is still in shock at Kougyoku’s request to leave and her forgiving him for his manipulation of her mind through Zepar.

He’s concerned about her paying back the debt Kou owes to the International Alliance and estranging itself from the Seven Seas Alliance.

One of the attendees brings up a question: can the members of the International Alliance still use Fanfan Trading Company’s teleportation circles even if they leave the alliance?

Others ask to use it as well, Mu noting how Reim is thinking of creating a new trading pact with Kou as an alternative to the International alliance’s system.

Kina is also leaving, Kougyoku saying they’ll aid Sinbad in trying to make the world a better place, Takeru saying that they partly did this because of Sinbad’s threats, bringing this to the council’s attention.

Takeru is concerned about whether Sinbad will retaliate, Mu wondering if Kougyoku is really willing to take the risk of alienating herself from the Seven Seas Alliance. They think that it’ll be okay, Kougyoku insisting that Sinbad agrees with Aladdin and wants to help them.

Meanwhile, Sinbad is thinking to himself that Kougyoku doesn’t value peace, because she’s creating this conflict in terms of the power he holds the reins on, regarding her as meddlesome and spiteful in her perceived gratitude.

He thinks that the flow of destiny is harder to perceive, but that he should be the only one to be regarded as having that ability. Alibaba, who Aladdin claims can see destiny as well, is one of those problems, Aladdin even saying Sinbad’s just human and has made mistakes as well, the King of the Seven Seas not believing such a thing.

Sinbad regards himself as equal to a god with the power he has acquired, though he still wonders why he cannot hear David’s voice anymore.

The chapter ends as Arba contacts Sinbad the next day, saying that they only have one chance left to acquire the power of the Sacred Palace, hinting that David is moving forward with his plans as well.

One Piece 839

Judge and his children are at a table discussing things, such as how they only participated in the war at Broc Coli (yes, that’s apparently meant to be a pun which Viz rendered in a less obvious way by comparison to Mangastream) because it netted them a larger profit and ended the conflict as well, making them seem like they cared about people suffering in the long run.

Niji brings up Reverie and Judge responds that they may lose their rights as a country soon from the World Government, but that will only mean they’re that much closer to their ultimate goal.

Meanwhile, Niji has stopped eating his food, irritating Sanji with his lack of respect towards the chef. He even throws a dish at the chef, Cosette, Sanji stopping the plate before it hits her, saying that his brother shouldn’t try to damage her beautiful face.

Sanji emphasizes how much value her dish has and how the royals don’t appreciate it at all, Niji moving to attack him for being such a disappointment. But Judge stops him before he can follow through, the pressure of his attack still sending a shockwave behind Sanji.

As Niji claims that Sanji is a disgrace to the Vinsmoke family, Sanji retorts that his family is far more of a shame to him: not appreciating good food, treating their servants like pawns and striking a defenseless woman all make him hate even being associated with them.

But Niji still insists that it’s Sanji’s thinking that’s wrong, that royals have certain expectations of how they ought to behave.

Judge reveals that Big Mom’s connections are such that they know where the Baratie is, where Sanji’s mentor Zeff is as well and that if he resists further, they will have him killed off.

Everyone leaves the room as Judge emphasizes how things ought to go, Sanji expected to go along with things so that his friends won’t suffer.

Sanji remembers how Zeff treated him harshly, but still clearly had love for him as if he were his own family, even when he bid Sanji farewell 2 years ago when Black Leg joined Luffy’s crew.

Later, Sanji finds Cosette beaten to a pulp, Yonji offering to show him where Niji is, the likely culprit.

The chapter ends as Sanji is shocked to see tubes that appear to have clones of various people in them, including what is likely Vergo from the Punk Hazard arc.

Toriko 387

As Toriko cries out in anger at Starjun’s seeming death, Midora punches Acacia, his hand grabbed and eaten as he strikes with the opposite hand and sends the Gourmet God flying, a line of destruction following him.

Midora finds he cannot heal the damage from NEO’s attack with Minority World, meaning it’s a similar problem to eating Gourmet Cells: that they cannot be recovered

Starjun states this as well to Toriko, that even if he ate Gourmet Luck, he couldn’t recover from this damage, his cells having given up.

He explains to Toriko that Frohze removed her unborn child from her womb 500 years ago, putting it in a Back Channel with Food Luck to sustain them as they gestated, Starjun born first, since Toriko took fewer nutrients by comparison.

Toriko’s still in disbelief at this revelation, Acacia frustrated at how Frohze deceived him and how with Starjun’s death, there are no chefs left for him, only a Gourmet Hunter like Toriko.

As Starjun seems to sacrifice himself for Toriko, Acacia rushes to kill his remaining son, Midora unable to move because of Knocking used on him by Acacia.

Starjun thanks Toriko for never hating him, mysterious spirits pushing Toriko out of Acacia’s path and forcing him to consume them.

.

It’s implied to be GOD, Toriko’s Red Appetite Demon manifesting before him with the power it grants him. The only thing left is for Toriko to eat CENTER and the resurrection of the Gourmet Cell Demon will be complete.

Toriko thanks his Appetite Demon for sharing the meals with him, but he’s told that Red wasn’t the one who decided the Full Course, but Toriko himself, Red thanking him for sharing nearly a million meals over his lifetime.

The Gourmet Luck feeds CENTER to Toriko, his form changing in a similar way to Acacia’s as Red forces himself to be consumed by his host as well.

Blue comments that his choice was a good one, Toriko seemingly gaining more power as the chapter ends, hinting that he may be strong enough to utilize his other Appetite Demons as well now.

Fairy Tail 501

Natsu tells Brandish he’ll fight her too if they get in their way, but she uses her magic to grow back his magical tumor from before, causing him to collapse.

Lucy asks why she’s still doing this, Brandish saying that Natsu is a threat to them and that she has no choice, unsure of what to do as she stands off against her rival of sorts. The Celestial Spirit mage demands that if she wins, Brandish will heal Natsu.

Brandish initially didn’t plan to fight, but accepts her challenge as Lucy quickly changes into her Scorpio form. But Brandish quickly uses her ability to shrink Lucy down to much smaller size, able to be crushed in her hands.

She changes to Cancer form, slashing at her with the tiny blades, Brandish reverting her back to original size.

But she doesn’t see her as she leaps above the Spriggan, Lucy now in Aquarius form as she smashes her into the ground with Aqua Metria, a power she learned from the Celestial Spirit.

Brandish, her power still immense, compresses the power and then redirects it magnified back at Lucy.

However, Lucy still won’t give up, fighting to save Natsu’s life.

Brandish is interrupted by Dimaria, who appears, saying that she was throwing the fight, but couldn’t deceive her eyes.

She slashes down Brandish, Dimaria then moving to pin down Lucy in her weakened state as the chapter ends on her saying that she’ll kill her for corrupting Brandish to be good.
