Black Clover 69
Noelle remembers a story her
nursemaid told her about a group of people who worshipped demons, one of them
becoming a demon themselves through evil magic who was then defeated by the
Wizard King, Vett’s new form reminding her of that.
She asks Asta how he’s standing,
Asta explaining that Kahono was using most of her magic to heal him slowly.
We see Finral observing the
situation, wondering if they can escape Vett with the hole he made in the
temple wall.
Asta compliments Noelle’s magic
powering him up, saying he’ll stop things now in her place. Vett wonders what
he can even do, Asta insisting he can still fight, his main quality an
unwavering resolve in the face of terrible odds like these.
But Vett moves to use another magic,
spikes coming out to stab the unconscious mages nearby.
Vanessa appears, using her Thread
Magic to pull everyone out of harm’s way and bind Vett temporarily. She
recognizes Vett as the person Yami warned them about, seeing why he’s seen as
so dangerous.
Vett breaks the bindings and unleashes
a blast from another spell. But Finral makes a gate to redirect it back at the
Beast Mage, hitting him with his own attack.
Both Finral and Vanessa compliment
Asta on how he’s inspired them to become stronger as well as their junior
The pair decides to support Asta,
since he’s the only one who can do any real damage to the Beast Mage.
Finral is targeted by Vett, since
his ranged attacks are being deflected by the spatial magic user.
Asta comes out of the portal Finral
makes, Vett turning around to attack, since he saw this tactic coming. But
Vanessa uses her string to redirect Asta, the anti magic sword striking Vett as
the chapter ends with Asta ready to finish off the Beast Mage with the next
attack.
Boku no Hero Academia 98
We see the dormitory where Deku and
the others will be staying, called Heights Alliance. Nedzu thinks to himself
that they did this not only for the safety of the students, but to potentially
find a traitor within their midst, the threat of which still exists. He doesn’t
want to do this, but it is his obligation to protect the students and guide them
to a better future.
Aizawa starts to explain things,
Tsuyu and Ochako saying they were worried about him with everything that was
going on. Eraserhead thinks to himself that the higher ups are just keeping a
tight grip on his reins in spite of letting him move freely.
Before he begins to elaborate on the
dorms, he brings up how the students were supposed to get provisional Hero
licenses after the training camp, but in spite of that not happening, Deku’s
group of 5 tried to save Bakugou.
If it wasn’t for All Might’s
retirement and the like, he would’ve had everyone but Bakugou, Jirou and
Hagakure, kidnapped or injured severely by the gas, expelled for betraying
their trust. He requests that they follow the rules from now on to restore his
faith in them, including the 12 students who were directly aware of what was
happening with Deku’s group and did nothing.
Bakugou forces Kaminari to release
his electric Quirk and reveal everything that happened when he was kidnapped,
making himself stupid temporarily as a result and gives Kirishima money to
cover the costs of the night vision scope that he bought in expectation of
helping Bakugou.
He demands that they just act like
themselves instead of treating him like he needs to be handled with kid gloves.
Kirishima says he’ll treat everyone to a barbeque (yakiniku in Japan, a
distinct practice from the Western one with grills outside) with the money as
an apology.
We see the facility proper, each
student getting a private room and the commons area, along with bathrooms and
laundry rooms quite extravagant, Momo even saying the closets in the rooms are
as big as the ones in her estate.
They’ll use today to get moved in
and settled, Aizawa explaining more tomorrow about how things will work at the
dorm
It’s evening and the students agree
they should show off their rooms to everyone else as a way to create
camaraderie.
We see Deku’s room has various All
Might memorabilia, Tokoyami’s room predictably dark, while Aoyama’s is
dazzlingly bright. They skip Mineta’s room because he’s creepy in his
invitation.
Iida’s room has difficult books and
replacement glasses for the difficult training, Ojiro’s quite normal, while
Kaminari’s seems slapped together. And Kouda has a bunny, the girls fawning
over it
The boys think it’s unfair that only
their rooms have been observed so far, Mineta suggesting they have a
competition to see who has the best interior design sense, the chapter ending
as they start off, likely looking at the girls’ rooms next.
World Trigger 150
Konami is still in disbelief at the
situation with Kidou allowing Hyuse to join in exchange for Chika being on the
expedition regardless of Tamakoma 2’s success in joining the team overall.
Reiji qualifies that Chika wasn’t
forced into this, since Osamu and Yuma have been trying their hardest to get
Chika to the Neighborhood to find her brother. They have a shared goal and
Chika understood the risks involved. Hyuse is encouraged by Konami to try his
best as well, the Neighbor ignoring her, to her frustration.
The next round is starting as Osamu
has a strategy meeting with regards to their goal of getting to 2nd place in B
Rank.
Hyuse has his enlistment ceremony
this time, so they’ll have to progress without him until the 2nd round. Their opponents
are Ikoma and Ouji squad, who have similar compositions of using 2 Attackers
and a Shooter, Ikoma also having an agile Sniper who utilizes Grasshopper.
Ikoma is having their own discussion
on Tamakoma 2, impressed with Yuma’s fight against Kou and also Osamu’s use of
Spider. They don’t have the choice of the map this time around, so that makes
them less prepared in a way.
Ikoma thinks that Chika is cute,
their Operator somewhat jealous of this, though the squad insists she’s cute in
her own way as well.
Ouji squad is more like Kakizaki
squad, the group moving as one. The captain is especially dangerous, using both
Attacker and Shooter Triggers, dual wielding as well.
They’re the ones who get to choose
the map, thinking that they can’t play into Tamakoma 2’s strategy. If they
choose a wide open area to avoid the wires, then Chika’s Lead Bullet sniping is
more effective and if they choose a crowded area to avoid that, then the wire
area strategy will keep them on the defensive.
Instead, they’ll choose something
unexpectedly normal to mitigate their losses in the long run. Ouji says that
they’ll just do what they usually do, the chapter ending on him ready to
explain their tactics
Seven Deadly Sins 183
We see Meliodas continue talking
with the mysterious voice in Purgatory, who’s been watching him all this time.
They’re even aware of Meliodas previously having the Commandments of Piety and
Charity in the past, thinking that might be why he just accepted his death so easily.
Meliodas thinks this means he’s
freed from them, the voice seemingly revealed to be the Demon King who bestowed
the Commandments upon the demons he chose as worthy. There are 2 ways to remove
the Commandment: defeat the demon who has it or to die yourself.
The Sin of Wrath thinks it’s
interesting that he’s immortal, constantly coming back from the dead anyway.
But the Demon King thinks Meliodas
has grown weaker and is only in the form he has now because
of his permission
He moves to take away Meliodas’
emotions to power himself back up and grant Meliodas more demonic might as
well, but the Dragon’s Sin refuses, rushing to attack his father.
Back at Liones, we find that all the
Holy Knights have been rendered powerless before Estarossa’s Commandment of
charity. Any who hold hatred towards him cannot utilize their abilities, making
him quite impressive as an opponent against humans, who the demon regards as
weak in spirit.
Estarossa moves to finish his prey,
but Escanor appears, unaffected by the ability, because he regards the
Commandment as below him with his prideful attitude as the Lion’s Sin.
The chapter ends as the two square
off, two opponents of immense power in a battle that spells the end for one of
them.
Magi 312
Arba is shocked that Aladdin can use
the same intensity of magic that Solomon could, Hakuryuu explaining how
Strength Magic focuses on physics, accelerating and distorting things, Aladdin
able to do so on a dimensional level.
Al Thamen continues to attack
Aladdin, but the water magic is stopped in midair.
They try to use flame magic and
create steam, but the Magi still manages to negate and redirect any attack that
comes at him, even throwing back an attack and taking out Al Thamen casters
with the force of the reflected power.
Yunan is astonished at how powerful
Aladdin is.
Arba attacks Aladdin, who stops the
attack of her spear. She rages at him, saying she will continue to fight
Aladdin and Solomon’s arrogance. But Aladdin insists that Solomon is no longer
in control.
He grasps Arba, using Alchemical
Magic to restructure Hakuei’s body so that it no longer is one of Gyokuen’s
children. This renders Arba unable to control it, meaning she’s basically
powerless now.
Hakuei is still unconscious, the
main threat now Arba’s spiritual body, in another dimension. She’s able to
regenerate the bodies she uses by providing magoi from Alma Torran to do so
indefinitely.
Aladdin thinks they’re fine now, but
forgets that Hakuryuu is still one of Gyokuen’s children.
The chapter ends as Arba, in the
form of a scorpion, stings Hakuryuu, preparing to take over his body instead.
Bleach 682
Juhabach enters the Seireitei,
coming face to face with Aizen, who welcomes him to his Soul Society, still
presuming to have ownership as someone who has achieved godhood.
Meanwhile, Uryuu is heading towards
where Ichigo is and he dodges an arrow fired by Ryuuken.
His father tells him to take it,
Uryuu asking why they’re both here. Ryuuken explains that he planned to give
that special arrow to his son, created from the silver blood clot that results
from Auschwarren, which kills the Quincy. Uryuu is the one destined to use such
a thing on Juhabach in Ryuuken’s eyes.
Renji and Ichigo are travelling down
the Dangai path that Juhabach created, both of them struggling to stand as they
continue to walk.
Ichigo wonders why Renji even came
with Rukia, the Soul Reaper confiding in Ichigo that he and Rukia have been
drifting apart over the decades, but Ichigo was the one that brought them back
together as friends.
He resolved from that point onward
to shoulder Ichigo’s burdens as well and help him whenever he needed it, the
two moving on after that moment to face the issue at hand.
We see a huge explosion, Aizen freed
from his chair by Juhabach’s attack on him. The Quincy King asks why Aizen is
standing against him to fight, thinking it couldn’t for the sake of Soul
Society. Aizen retorts that it’s to eliminate any who would try to stop him
from ruling
Ichigo and Renji attack Juhabach
from behind, but seemingly don’t manage to hit at all.
Juhabach explains that he already
saw this coming, knowing that Ichigo’s sword would be restored, but that it
will start to break again, a crack forming in the middle of Ichigo’s Tensa
Zangetsu.
The chapter ends as Juhabach says
that this will be their final clash, moving to finish him off for good this
time, thinking Ichigo’s gotten lucky that he didn’t completely destroy Tensa
Zangetsu this time
One Piece 832
The Seducing Forest speaks of a
Madam Brulee who is trying to take out the Straw Hats.
We see the Straw Hats fleeing her,
managing to keep some distance between them. Carrot backflips to attack them
with Electro, concluding it’s not a Mink, since it can’t counter it.
She zaps the crane that the rabbit
person is riding and we see that it’s not Brulee, but Randolph, the Crane
Rider.
Randolph throws the double ended
spear at them, which stabs the giant stuck in the ground on the head.
Using them as a landmark, Nami,
Carrot and Chopper find Luffy fighting his doppelganger and tell him to come
with them, heading for the coast
It seems like the Luffy that came
with them might not be the original Luffy. But as the group thinks they’re
getting closer to the coast, they run right back into the giant, confused as to
how things are looping around.
They try again, ending up right back
at the giant, Nami looking around to spot the trees and everything else moving
around, explaining why they’ve just been going in circles
Suddenly, the Luffy doppelganger
grabs Nami, revealing itself to be the 8th daughter of Big Mom, Brulee, the
mistress of the woods. And because Nami and Carrot have such cute faces, Brulee
is compelled to slash them with her long claws.
We shift over to the area behind
Whole Cake Island, where the Germa 66 ships are all amassing together, creating
what is considered the Germa Kingdom itself, a mass of mobile ships.
Sanji is still bickering with Reiju,
saying he doesn’t want anything to do with his family, a group of warmongering
people who spread violence wherever they go.
Reiju explains how he could have a
better life here as a member of royalty, maids at his beck and call and
soldiers willing to die for him.
The door opens to reveal the leader
of the Vinsmoke Family, Jajji/Judge, a towering man with pointed mustaches ends
and armor.
Sanji insists they are not on
speaking terms, Judge asking about his fight with Yonji before.
The chapter ends as they move
outside, wanting to settle this issue with a fight.
Toriko 379
Chichi assesses the situation,
Zebra, Sani and Coco barely hanging onto life. He gets out a knife, likely
using the Dark Arts to revive them, Zonge confused at things, since he’s
ignorant of that practice.
Meanwhile, Starjun and Joa’s fight
continues, Starjun managing to keep up with Joa, even overwhelming him with a
massive burst of flame.
But Joa’s Food Luck still protects
him from most of the damage. The chef has figured out Starjun’s technique,
using the Third Eye to target him consistently and stacking Back Channels to
alter the flow of time so he can move faster
We get an explanation of how light
moves so fast that it’s like everything we see is in the distant past.
Starjun’s Gourmet Clairvoyance with his Third Eye enables him to track things,
regardless of how far away they are. In combination with the Back Channels
affecting time, he can assess the slight adjustments in Joa’s future movements
with Gourmet Clairvoyance to attack effectively.
In spite of knowing this, Starjun
thinks Joa can’t do anything to counter it, but Joa then initiates Food Luck
fully, the tables apparently turned in some way, the true battle beginning.
Back with Teppei’s battle against
the Blue Nitro, he manages to attack, but the skin of PAIR is so hard, he can’t
penetrate it.
They counterattack, pinning Teppei
to the ground. But the Reviver managed to plant a Space Tulip seed in him, the
flower growing out of him. It’s so dangerous that it could threaten the Earth
itself if left unchecked, but Teppei is satisfied to have stopped one Blue
Nitro and allowed Toriko to get closer to GOD.
PAIR is trying to go into
cryptobiosis to keep himself partially alive, but we’re not sure if he
succeeds, the scene shifting again.
Toriko’s appetite energy is
seemingly drained from summoning both of his major Appetite Demons, but in the
presence of GOD, he’s overflowing with more appetite and ready to eat.
Terry is fighting CENTER, summoning
a pack of Battle Wolves to assist him against the Blue Nitro, who still thinks
he could defeat them
Meanwhile, we see NEO/Acacia is
nearing death with the threat of all the beasts as well as Sky Deer’s reverse
Back Channel slowly draining his energy away.
It seems as if he disappears
completely, but at the last minute, the evolution is complete with a flash of
light, NEO having managed to adapt himself to the new environment, thanks to
the amount of time that passed, allowing for something that would normally take
millennia, aeons of time, in the span of several minutes.
His new form was a consequence of
Sky Deer trying to use that accelerated time against him.
Acacia then leaps to attack Toriko,
stabbing at his shoulder as he says he’ll be the one to eat GOD as the chapter
ends.
Fairy Tail 493
Eileen, taking advantage of Mirajane being frozen in
fear at her sheer magic power, uses the swords, still enchanted with the powers
they used in human form, to bind the Satan Soul Mage to a nearby rock
She begins to torture her with Juliet’s acid, saying
that she’ll make her die a slow, painful death, agonizing to the end.
August and Brandish appear, stopping Eileen’s fun
for a while. The Scarlet Mage greets the other 2 Spriggans
The Wizard King questions Eileen’s use of Universe
One, but she retorts that she got Zeref to Fairy Tail and Fairy Heart by
association. August demands that she come with them to meet up with their lord
at his site of conquest, but she refuses. He pulls rank on her as the general
of the Spriggan 12
Eileen agrees, only asking to torture and kill
Mirajane. August does it for her, blasting Mirajane through the heart, giving
her a merciful conclusion to Eileen’s surprise.
Meanwhile, Sorano insists that Yukino has mistaken
her for someone else. The younger sister demands for Angel to recognize her,
but the older sister insists that she doesn’t deserve to be recognized as her
sibling, after having done such terrible things
She tells Yukino that after she’s atoned for her
sins, she’ll embrace her sister with all the emotion she has, thinking it’s
better this way as she departs.
Lisanna goes to Mirajane’s side as she’s slowly
dying, but we see that Brandish’s power was used to reduce the wound after the
fact, saving her life in making it seem as if they were being evil.
They resolve to head towards Fairy Tail, Mirajane
recognizing that the Spriggan 12 are gathering.
Dimaria is trying to escape her imprisonment from
Lamia Scale, but the two who try to stop her are suddenly stopped, their souls
escaping their bodies.
We see the final Spriggan, Rakheid Dragneel, appear
to take Dimaria back, his last name suggesting some kind of connection to Zeref
and Natsu, with a mysterious cross symbol on his forehead as he speaks about
spirits going to heaven.
