Boku no Hero Academia 73

Himiko is complaining about what look like gas masks of some sort not being cute, but another Villain tells her it’s more important that they work. Dabi shuts them up, telling them to wait until the time appointed for their attack.

There are supposed to be 10 total, 3 more Villains appearing behind them to get ready, bringing the # to 6 or 7. The plan is to show how chaotic things will become for the young Heroes.

We shift to the next day after everyone’s rested: the remedial group having less sleep and tougher lessons. Aizawa emphasizes what they all need to improve upon in terms of individual Quirks.

He tells them to remember what they’re working for and why they sought to be Heroes, using that as their motivation to get through these trials, even Uraraka and Aoyama reminded that they just barely passed the mark.

Deku asks if the other teachers will come, Aizawa reminding him that they had to act in secrecy and use the bare minimum of faculty to keep the Villains out of the loop in terms of where the students were, All Might in particular a major target.

Pixie Bob tells everyone to remember that after all this hard work, that there will be a test of courage involving both classes, so they can see that as a reward. Class B is especially interested with the rivalry they still somewhat have with Class A.

As everyone is preparing their meals, Shouto asks Deku about why he wanted to know if All Might was coming. He responds that he needed some advice regarding what to do about Kouta’s hatred of the Quirk society. Todoroki suggests they back up their words with actions to show that Heroes aren’t just in it for recognition and fame, but to help people.

Deku remembers how he inspired All Might back when he still didn’t have a Quirk, his courage something that reminded the #1 Hero what is a primary trait of all Heroes.

Todoroki thinks that Deku might just be able to help Kouta, since he’s thoughtful and yet impulsive in his need to help others, like he did with Todoroki in the tournament at the sports festival.

Ashido and the other remedial students are disappointed to hear that Aizawa wants to give them more lessons while the others go through the test of courage that night.

The plan is for Class B to try scaring Class A as they send out pairs every 3 minutes. The class that manages to scare more people is considered the “winner”, though the main goal is to help them with more creative uses of their Quirks.

It turns out one person will be alone in the test of courage, since 5 people were sent to remedial lessons.

Uraraka and Tsuyu are #5 of the pairs, Class B doing well with their Quirks. But suddenly, a smoke that was slowly billowing in starts to affect the students, knocking one out.

The gas is discerned to be a poison by Kendou as she tries to protect one of her classmates with a Quirk that seems to allow her to grow parts of her body to larger size.

We see Himiko slowly stalking Uraraka’s group, while the groups that haven’t left stumble upon Pixiebob having been attacked by 2 of the other Villains.

The chapter ends as we see that Kouta is in danger of being attacked as well by one of the remaining Villains in the strike team.

Seven Deadly Sins 155

Diane and Matrona are continuing their trek to Vaizel, Matrona telling her student that she could still turn back, but the Sin of Envy insists that she wants to help her mentor.

They’re nearing the city, but as they cross the hill that shows a view of it, Matrona is shocked to see a giant maze, the boulder Diane having thrown a few months ago still there at the center.

Matrona says they won’t go through the maze, trying to destroy the walls one by one. But the magic of the giant who made it quickly repairs it.

As they enter, Diane thinks they should just try to jump on the tops of the wall, but walls appear, blocking her progress, even sealing the entrance behind them.

After going through the maze a bit, they stop, both of them seeing illusions: Matrona of Zoru and Dera and Diane of meat. The two are separated as we find that this is Dolor and the unnamed tentacle Ten Commandment’s plan: to weed out the participants in the tournament.

Diane wakes up to see Hawk, thinking it’s just a pig that she can eat. But once he talks, she pauses, not caring as she tries to eat it.

However, we see Elizabeth, who stops Diane, the giantess confused at a human girl being in the labyrinth as the chapter ends.

World Trigger 126

Hyuse notices the intense battle happening, wondering if it’s Galopoula or Rhodokhroun, thinking he needs to make contact with them.

Yoneya and Miwa’s fight against Koskero continues, the Neighbor doing fairly well against the two. He even manages to put a mysterious dark substance over Yoneya’s spear, rendering it unable to damage the Idras Trion Soldiers as they come to support him.

Miwa utilizes his Lead Bullet to disable the Idras so Yoneya can use his spear, resetting the blade so he can cut with it again.

Koskero tries to block with the same substance he put on Yoneya’s spear, but the blade goes through it, slicing off his leg in the process.

The Neighbor tells Yomi, the support specialist, to alter the Idras so that they can resist the Lead Bullets, since they go right through the Idras’ Shields.

Reghi, the other Neighbor soldier tasked with distracting agents from the attackers inside HQ, is having similar difficulty, having to face Ninomiya and Kako’s squads.

Meanwhile, Wen’s fight with Rei and Kumagai is balanced. The Neighbor is doing surprisingly well against the two opponents, already assessing their strength. She uses one of the many needles she has in a pack on her back to release a smokescreen. This surprises Rei, since she’d only been using them before to summon the Dog Trion Soldiers.

Rei thinks Kumagai is behind her, but it turns out to be an illusion generated by Wen, who attacks the agent in the distraction, taking out her arm.

Shinoda wonders what the Neighbors’ plan is once they destroy the ship, since they don’t seem to have a solid escape plan even with their Tunnel Triggers.

Gattlin and Ratarykov are near the away ship, on guard because of the possibility that HQ has become aware of their plan.

A team composed of Konami, Tachikawa, Murakami and Kazama await the Neighbors’ assault, Konami warning Tachikawa not to be arrogant, since Jin told her that he might get killed in this attack.

Meanwhile, Jin is debating what to do, stunned as we see that Yotaro is running with Raijinmaru to some location, the ace not expecting this development.

Magi 289-290

Alibaba is greeted with hostility by Kougyoku’s guards, thinking he couldn’t possibly have an audience with her.

As a soldier moves to eject him, Alibaba quickly dodges and knocks him down, the others finding their assault equally futile in landing even a single blow.

Amon’s King Vessel notes that he’s seen this fighting style before with Hakuryuu, his vision not unlike Solomon’s when he could see the fabric of space and time.

We flash back to Alibaba discussing this ability with Yunan, saying that it’s like the world is slowed down. The Magi thinks it must be something like one’s life flashing before your eyes when you’re about to die.

The explanation for this is based on Alibaba’s experience of near death, which felt like a century, but was closer to a few days in reality.

The Dungeon Creature Corps, people altered by experiments involving the monsters from the dungeons, assault Alibaba as the soldiers pull back.

Yunan further notes that with his consciousness having to control a body that was like a puppet, it sharpened his senses and his connection to life and death to a point where his experience is much more practiced, as if he fought in countless battles, making any moment able to be reduced to near motionlessness.

Alibaba easily defeats the towering beast man before him, arriving at Kougyoku’s throne room as the chapter concludes

The next chapter begins with Kougyoku stopping the soldiers as they start to restrain Alibaba, noting that he is an old friend.

The two are alone, the empress having sent away everyone for privacy. Alibaba thinks she’s gotten much more mature from 3 years ago, much more innocent back then.

After the two discuss Alibaba’s travels, he asks about Hakuryuu, Aladdin and Morgiana, Kougyoku not knowing where they are.

He’s also concerned about the state of Rakushou, Kougyoku saying that she remembered when it was better in her childhood.

She feels hopeless, Alibaba’s encouragement not helping as she notes how she tried to change the laws to improve things. She resents Sinbad for using her, creating chaos in the civil war and hurting those she loved.

Alibaba, aware of Sinbad’s control over her in the past, feels like he should’ve done something as he reveals his knowledge of Sinbad using Zepar on her. But the empress says she understands why he kept it a secret from her, thanking him for being considerate of her state in the Kou Empire and what it would’ve done to reveal her being a sleeper agent.

But she also notes that the Kou Empire is very likely to be absorbed into the International Alliance, since they cannot pay back the loans they’ve gotten to try to improve Kou’s economy.

Ka Koubun and other assistants to Kougyoku come in, revealing they’ve developed a better version of the law from a few weeks ago, trying their hardest to improve things in the limited time they have.

Kougyoku still thinks it’s hopeless to try, but Alibaba encourages her, the chapter ending as he says there’s still something they can use in Kou to stimulate its economy.

Bleach 657

We resume on Yoruichi’s attack on Askin, Orihime nearly caught in the crossfire, but saved from further injury by the Queen of Flash. She tells Orihime to heal Ichigo and Chad and go ahead of her, the Soul Reaper focusing on finishing off the Death Dealing.

Suddenly, Yuushirou, Yoruichi’s younger brother, tries to hug his sister, being dodged and pushed away. He tells her that even though she said he should stay with Kisuke, he felt that his skills were better used to defend her, even though Yoruichi seems to think he’s still too weak in spite of getting stronger over the years. Her sarcastic remark flies over his head as he thinks she actually praised him.

Askin comes out of the smoke, not wanting to interrupt their reunion, which is said to not be as emotional as he thinks. Ichigo manages to recover, telling Yoruichi to be careful.

As the group gets away, the Quincy is worried Juhabach will scold him, but Yoruichi tells him they won’t give him the chance. Askin casually mispronounces the Thunder God technique, Yuushirou attacking him in anger, partially for his sister’s honor and also because he’s mistaken for a girl.

Yuushirou’s attacks astound Askin, thinking there’s no way he could be this strong. But it turns out Yoruichi’s younger brother has taken over as the 23rd head of the clan, unleashing an explosive Shunkou attack

Yoruichi compliments her brother for improving the technique in spite of her teaching it to him recently.

The chapter concludes as Askin thanks them for giving him so much reiatsu in their attacks, allowing his Schrift power to activate, rendering their reiatsu useless against him.

One Piece 811

Caesar gloats for a bit at the power of the gas he made, called Koro (derived from the verb korosu, to kill), Chopper chastising him to fix it with his Logia powers. The Gas Gas scientist says that the Mink are notorious, suggesting they let them die.

But after the Rainruption, Sanji hears Nami’s cry, telling Caesar to fix things or he crushes the heart Law separated from him before.

We see the scene from awhile ago of Sanji beating Sheepshead, Caesar meanwhile fixing the Koro gas with the Roko gas.

As the dangerous biological weapon recedes, Sanji tells Nami there are likely more hiding out, also voicing his concerns that Caesar may be right that the Mink aren’t to be trusted.

Suddenly, Wanda attacks, Nami managing to hold her off and even pin the Musketeer. But Sanji points out that she has a bomb, the Mink thinking they’re Jack’s allies. She’s stopped by Tristan, the squirrel Mink nurse, Pedro also showing her that they’re not bad people, especially since the gas that threatened their kingdom disappeared when they arrived.

Chopper alerts everyone that he needs to give out antidotes within 2 days or they’ll be permanently damaged by the gas’ toxins. Wanda cries tears of gratitude as the Straw Hats vow to save her people. They do so, Wanda emphasizing how much of a debt they owe to the pirate crew, which they wish to repay some day.

Jack’s obituary comes up again, Wanda saying it’s unlikely he died with how much strength he showed in the 5 day battle before.

Chopper wants to check up on Cat Viper and the others, Wanda revealing she’s not bound purely to the Night or Day kingdom, able to move freely because she’s what’s translated here as Ruler’s Bird (King’s Bird in Viz), along with Carrot.

As the group heads out, Zolo notes that Caesar and Sanji are still unaccounted for in the flashback, Wanda replying that they didn’t want to worry everyone in the village, since they’re still recovering from the trauma.

It turns out that as they were escaping from Big Mam, their destination was leaked and one of her crewmates is a native of Zou. The chapter ends as we see that member, Pekoms, who resembles a lion man, telling his captain to leave it to him.

Toriko 353

We’re told that the world is looking forward to GOD’s appearance at the end of the Gourmet Eclipse. Meanwhile, the pieces of NEO aren’t doing well in their fights against the Eight Kings, Heracles and Bambina devastating their opponents with ease, the Monkey King even dancing around the Gourmet Demon shard’s attacks.  Heracles’ breath attack appears in Area 6, where Bambina is fighting NEO, having pierced through part of the earth.

Meanwhile, Deer King Sky Deer finally attacks, creating an area of effect that rapidly ages the piece of NEO in seconds. Mother Snake ate and is digesting the NEO portion that met its gaze, revealing that it’s eaten ingredients that were in space due to how long it is.

Emperor Crow released a ball of light that was like the sun, allowing it to spread its shadow of death in various directions, defeating the enemy NEO with the Emperor Shadow.

Toriko and Starjun are preparing to fight Guiness, the Wolf King, since this is the main conflict, GOD likely to appear in Area 2. But the piece of NEO we didn’t see before appears before the pair, which the Wolf King was focused on instead of them.

The chapter ends as Komatsu’s group prepares to use the Warp Road to reach each pair at the Areas before them, reaching Zebra/Brunch, Sani/Livebearer and Coco/Tairan before finally getting to Toriko/Starjun to finish this fight.

Fairy Tail 467

We see Lamia Scale and Mermaid Heel fighting against Alvareth’s forces in Hargeon Port. Wahr Icht locks on with his Machina Magic and unleashes a storm of missiles. Kagura manages to neutralize some of them after they start to cut into their forces.

But Dimaria attacks the katana mage, the two standing off as she emits immense magic power. Kagura’s clothes are suddenly torn as if the sword slashed at them faster than her eye could perceive.

Brandish awakens in the medical office of Fairy Tail, still restrained but her hands in front of her.

The Country Breaker remains stubborn and unwilling to talk, still bewildered at her enemies saving her from Marin’s assault in her cell. Lucy insists they don’t want anyone to die in this battle, even if they’re on opposite sides.

Lucy thinks she’s not a bad person, this insistence changing Brandish’s mind. Her restraints are removed, though the magic sealing effect is maintained by the stones.

Brandish reveals her mother was one of Layla’s servants. Layla gave the three Celestial Spirit keys she had to three different servants, Layla’s mother, Grami, getting Aquarius. But Brandish claims that Lucy’s mother killed Grami in order for Lucy to receive the key as a gift later in life in spite of Grami trusting Layla with all her heart.

The Spriggan suddenly pins Lucy down, trying to choke the life out of her, thinking this is the only way to get revenge.

The chapter ends as the water spilled from a vase nearby summons Aquarius, who has returned to save Lucy.
