Boku no Hero Academia 71 and 72

The class arrives at 5:20, meaning there was no reason for the Wild PussyCats to threaten them with no lunch. The unnamed Hero who made the earth beasts from before compliments them on progressing as well as they did, even if it still took them 4x as long as they predicted.

She’s especially impressed at Deku, Iida, Todoroki and Shoto’s progress, even thinking she might want to marry them later, though that’s chalked up to her being in her mid 20s.

The boy with them is the other Pussy Cat, Mandalei’s nephew, punching Deku in the groin after he tries to introduce himself. Kouta tells them he doesn’t want to be a Hero like them.

Aizawa tells the group to get settled in, have some dinner and relax, the real training starting tomorrow.

Everyone’s eating together, the girls noting how the boys’ dorm is bigger than theirs, wanting to hang out later. Kirishima and Kaminari are amazed at the food’s quality, even commenting on the bowls they’re eating from being earthenware.

But the real thing that draws in the boys isn’t food, according to Mineta, but the prospect of peeping in the girls while they’re bathing in the hot spring next to theirs.

He uses his Quirk to scale the wall, even when Iida tells him not to, but Kouta stops him, pushing him down and telling him to become a better person than this before he even tries to become a Hero.

The girls thank him, but Kouta falls over, afraid of heights, but caught by Deku as Mineta falls onto Iida’s face.

Deku is told by the PussyCats that Kouta’s parents died in the line of duty as Heroes. The fact that he was so young made it hard for him to understand why people praised them for their sacrifice to protect others, since his parents were his whole world. He resents all Heroes, thinking they’re in it for the fame and nothing else, only obeying the orders of his aunt because he has no other family.

Deku thinks to himself that he can’t pretend to understand Kouta’s perspective, but he knows that he’s coming from a point that makes him think about how someone like All Might admits he can’t save everyone, but still tries his best.

The next day, Aizawa explains that they’re getting a refresher of their training when they were first admitted, including the training test that showed the extent of their Quirk development at that point.

Bakugou’s throw isn’t much further than what it was 3-4 months ago, Aizawa saying they’ve mostly been improving in mental or skill based ways, but now they need to push themselves further with their physical stamina and the like to boost their Quirk powers. The chapter ends as he hopes they won’t die on him during this training.

The next chapter starts with Class B’s teacher, Blood Hero Blood King, saying that they need to surpass Class A by training their Quirks as well. The students are confused as to how they’d achieve that, the Pro Hero saying that they need to improve through repetition, like an athlete strengthens their muscles.

We see Class A training in various ways to improve their endurance in Quirk usage, such as Todoroki sitting in what seems to be a hot tub and utilizing both sides of Fire and Ice, or Mineta ripping off the Sticky Balls from his head more than usual, bleeding.

Brad King explains that this is the method: Heroes who have limits on their abilities, like Bakugou’s Explosion, must push themselves beyond those constraints, while mutant types like Asui, must train their organs to get better with them.

Kendou wonders how 6 Heroes can keep up with 40 students, the Wild Wild Pussycats revealing their full lineup. Pixiebob (who I missed the name of a few chapters ago), has Flowstone, which allows her to manipulate earth, Mandelei has Telepathy, Ragdoll has a Search Quirk, allowing her to monitor up to 100 people at once, and Tiger, the only male in the group, has an unnamed Quirk that seems to enable him to take a lot of physical damage or avoid it, it’s not clear

Deku tries to punch him, Tiger knocking him back as he says he still needs to push himself further.

Kouta watches as Deku continues to fight with Tiger, Aizawa noting that these 4 are the best to train large groups, since their Quirks are better able to be used against them.

We find that the students have to prepare their own meals now, Iida thinking this is to help them when they must feed the homeless and the like. The students help each other out, Momo explaining in more detail that her Quirk lets her convert fat to anything, so she has to eat a lot, which was shown briefly in her Quirk training session alongside Sato, who was eating sugar to increase his potential.

Deku follows Kouta, who tells him to go away, since this is his secret base. He reminds Deku that he doesn’t want to have anything to do with Heroes, since he thinks they just want to show off.

Deku theorizes that Kouta’s parents were the Water Quirk users, the Water Horses (or possibly Water Hose from Viz’s translation, referring to just one of his parents), Kouta retorting that it doesn’t change how arrogant Heroes are in his view, fighting Villains to get the spotlight and dying like his parents did in a foolish way.

But Deku tells Kouta that he wasn’t born with a Quirk, so he knows how Kouta feels in a way, admiring Heroes, but not able to become one because of poor luck. He says that Kouta will end up hurting himself with this hatred of Quirks and Heroes, leaving him with the curry they were preparing. Viz’s version suggests Deku isn’t talking about himself directly, but using a “friend” to talk about his own situation in a way that doesn’t make it so personal.

We also see something that suggests Kouta may have a Quirk, the wall nearby damaged by what looks like water.

The chapter ends as we see Dabi and Himiko along with 2 other Villains, preparing to give a warning to the students at the camp, in order to change the world for Stain’s goals.

Seven Deadly Sins 154

Outside the building where Denzel, Fraudrin and Death Pierce are fighting, the other Pleiades are discussing whether to leave, Dogget meeting them and asking for the incantation ball to release the Absolute Cube.

Fraudrin says that they don’t have to believe him regarding Gowther’s identity as the Selfless, but if they’d killed him, then Gowther would’ve regained his Commandment power, which Fraudrin has at present.

But Denzel and Deathpierce aren’t going to let him leave. They’re shocked as the Perefct Cube is negated, the door opening as they wonder why Dogget is there.

It’s revealed it’s not him, the form twisting into Grayroad, the Pacifist of the Ten Commandments, a black mass with what seems to be masks scattered throughout it. He comments that the humans are weak, though one has an interesting trait (likely Denzel).

Deldrey’s group is preparing to leave, but is shocked to see the real Dogget, who’s confused at the turn of events.

The two sides in the research tower start to square off, but Denzel says he’ll let Fraudrin go for now, concerned about Grayroad’s Commandment, possibly activating if he kills the Commandment of Altruism.

Death Pierce thinks that they have a chance, but Denzel reminds him they can’t capture them with what they have at hand. But Fraudrin brings up that even if they can’t use magic due to his Melody power, they aren’t on equal terms, hinting that he has more power up his sleeve that he hasn’t utilized yet.

As the two leave, Deldrey is shocked, since Dreyfus should’ve been under her power. But the Absolute Cancel incantation also negated her spell, Fraudrin stabbing her through the gut as he leaves her to die.

He tells Deldrey that Dreyfus insists she should save herself for the person she truly loves. The demon pauses, wondering why he spared them, deciding to blast them away with Dreyfus’ Break power, a massive explosion collapsing the area nearby.

The chapter ends as the two Commandments leave, the Pleiades all but destroyed in that attack.

World Trigger 124 and 125

The gate’s opening is about 400 km to the northeast, multiple readings indicating that this is the planned invasion Jin foresaw.

But the next round of B Rank wars are starting with Kageura, Azuma and Yuba squad in the top rank, while Tamakoma 2, Kakizaki and Katori squad in the next lowest echelon. If they’re going to continue with them, those 6 squads can’t defend Mikado City against the invasion.

Shinoda says they’ll continue as planned, but if they target the agents at HQ, they’ll stop them, Azuma guiding them as their superior. They set up squads in the other areas in case of a diversion, moving forward with their plans as they inform Kazama and the commentators as well of the situation.

Jin leaves Yotaro to guard Hyuse, who noticed the presence of the Idras, which indicates Rhodokhroun’s slight participation with Trion soldiers.

The child falls asleep, having worn himself out before with his enthusiasm to guard Hyuse, the Neighbor leaving the room, locking it behind him as he searches for his Lambiris Trigger. Unable to find it, he thinks that he’ll have a replacement when he gets home, focusing on getting to one of the vassal nations to escape. As he leaves, he seems to regard Yotaro kindly, thanking him for his hospitality.

There are 2 Sniper teams on top of HQ, ready to target the Trion soldiers that are moving towards the center of the city. We see the Idras in person for once, humanoid shaped Trion soldiers, which are easy targets according to Touma.

But as they attack, the soldiers combine Shield Triggers to defend themselves. The Snipers then decide to target one at a time, Reiji’s team from the left and Isami’s from the right.

The combined efforts succeed, Shooter/Gunner squads on the ground supporting them.

The Galopoula group is told by their superior to continue their assault in spite of Meeden having planned for them, one keeping the Snipers busy with a rain of tiny projectiles that summon gates which release the Dog Trion soldiers from before.

Reiji and Arafune hold them off with their Attacker skills, the other Snipers retreating.

Amo notices that some of the Idras are a different color. The chapter ends as those distinct Trion Soldiers reveal that they were the Neighbors from Galopoula disguised, having infiltrated HQ with a gate used by the other Idras.

The next chapter begins as Shinoda commands Fuyushima to close off the gates while the others evacuate the C ranks and civilians from HQ

Gatlin’s group seeks the shortest route, Wen being the member to take on agents who face them, while 2 others will draw away the agents outside so they don’t have to engage with them while they focus on destroying the ship.

One of the Galopoula team asks Gatlin if they should take Aftokrator’s order to eliminate any captives from the Holy Land, the captain saying that since that’s what they asked and they have a recording, they probably should.

Jin appears, assaulting them with Fuujin, which they manage to defend against, since Aftokrator experienced his attacks before against Hyrein.

HQ’s Ace realizes that the Neighbors are after the away ship, but they know that there’s a limit to their tunnel Triggers, so they focus on heading them off at strategic points after they escape his sight.

Amo implies the nature of his Side Effect, able to assess the power levels of any target that he observes, ranking the Idras as lower B Rank agents, while Gatlin is on the level of Shinoda, meaning he’s especially strong. The Dogs are meant to be a distraction, but the Idras as a group become stronger compared to individual strengths.

Instead of pulling in more agents from outside, Shinoda says they’ll use inside personnel to fight the 3 intruders, but also directing the others outside to find the ones who are controlling the Trion soldiers outside so they don’t get overwhelmed.

Other Attackers arrive, including Midorikawa, providing support to the Snipers on the roof against the Dogs.

Gatlin’s group is assaulted by a Shooter, Wen turning around to fend them off while Gatlin and Ratarykov continue on. Nasu and Kumagai, the agents who were following them, go after the female Neighbor, who summons more Dogs with a Trigger.

The chapter ends as Yoneya and Miwa spot Koskero, one of the two Galopoula Neighbors who are distracting the agents outside HQ, the battle starting between them.

Magi 288

Alibaba enters Rakushou, surprised at how empty it seems, no one around, but the buildings also not having changed much.

As Alibaba and Budel share drinks and food, the wine seller tells his new friend that he thinks the Kou Empire is on its last legs

The prohibition of conscription and slavery hit the Kou Empire the hardest, since that was a major part of their power and influence. They had a great deal of military strength, which kept the people in line, as well as the slaves balancing out issues that forced the country to ration food for those not in the military, where food was guaranteed.

The military, unable to be maintained alongside the constraint on conscription, was pushed into a new world and with their limited skills, couldn’t function. But even the free migration policy drew people away because there was no economic progress in Kou, since very few people could start a business, which was where the majority of power was in this new society. Soldiers and slaves alike were either pressured into the slums by no jobs or into crime as the sky pirates we saw before.

Because of Kouen’s attempt to unify culture, there weren’t tourist attractions, as well as a growing surge of movements for freedom, which Hakuryuu was unable to stop even with new laws, forced to leave the throne as the International Alliance quelled the riots.

Budel notes that Kou used to be great, everyone feeling more like equals, while Sinbad’s structure creates a plutocracy, where money is power. But the wine seller enjoys this state of things.

The next day, Alibaba asks who the new emperor is, Kougyoku revealed to be in charge, though she’s doing no better, Kou in danger of bankruptcy.

Alibaba wants to meet her, deciding not to use the influence of the pass Sinbad gave him, since he regards Kougyoku as a good friend, the chapter ending on that resolve to do things simply.

Bleach 656

As Gerard continues to step through Soul Palace, Askin notices that his fellow Schuhtzstaffel has unleashed his power, which he isn’t surprised at since Lille was defeated, though he thinks the Miracle isn’t aware of that.

Askin thinks to himself that Lille was the first Quincy to be given a Schrift, Gerard and Pernidas already possessing powers before being given the Schrift as a sign of authority moreso than actual additional power.

Rumors swirled that Pernidas was the Soul King’s Left Hand, while Gerard was his Heart.

As he finishes this explanation, we see that even Ichigo has fallen to the Death Dealing’s power, though he’s likely not dead.

Orihime and Chad appear, but as they attack, we find that Askin set a trap called Gift Bad, a pool that lowers their resistance to the reishi in the area, rendering them nearly immobile because of how dense its composition is in the Soul Palace.

Yoruichi comments that with his opponent unable to move, he should just kill them, Askin retorting that such an attitude is like Bambietta, who’s all brutality and no subtlety.

The former Special Ops captain unleashes a new Shunkou, saying that she doesn’t care about his demand for subtle and elegant death through his powers. Askin notes that while she and Bambietta are beautiful, it doesn’t matter if they don’t have the right presentation.

He fires arrows at her, but Yoruichi throws one back as she unleashes her Shunkou’s new power, Raijin Senkei, Thunder God’s War Form. She says they have to finish this quickly, the chapter ending as she throws the blast of lightning at the Death Dealing, likely not killing him, though.

One Piece 810

Jack and Cat Viper square off, the Ancient Mammoth Zoan Pirate thinking that Cat Viper’s one of the few good warriors on this island as he reveals a bizarre sickle-like blade.

The fight continued for 5 days and nights, Zou seemingly gaining an advantage over the Drought of Kaidou’s crew with their numbers and cycling out shifts. But only Jack was indomitable, the other crew members that seemed to constantly replace those defeated just a bonus compared to the captain’s strength and vitality.

It was on the 5th day that Jack used the gas weapon, releasing it across the country with rapid speed. Afterwards, the crew started to kill anyone in spite of already being aware that no one knew where Raizou was. The stronger warriors were crucified and tortured, the merciless and callous nature of Jack and his men demonstrated clearly.

On the 6th day, the crew left, though the people of Zou weren’t aware until later that this was connected to Luffy’s group defeating Doflamingo. Jack left to get Doflamingo back for Kaidou’s sake, so the Straw Hats were seen as a savior to Zou for their actions.

But Nami’s group also had great fortune in arriving soon after. They met one of the Minks, fleeing from Sheepshead’s assault. Brook stops him, the group retreating to find the rest of Zou covered in the gas.

Before they retreat, Pedro of the Three Musketeers pleads with them to help the wounded Dogupine (a translation that fits with the Cat Viper one for Nekomamushi) and Catviper, saying they must not be allowed to die, since they’re essential for the kingdom.

Toriko 352

Qualification about Don Slime’s revival I neglected to realize: Don Slime, being able to split himself off seemingly infinitely, turned himself into various things in Giant Shell, meaning that the body which was sealed in the Spirit World wasn’t even the majority of his body. What coalesced into the body that Asarudy provided as the host is the main body according to Viz’s translation

Komatsu thanks Blue Grill for the experience he’s gained by being here longer than he’s been alive since he was born, but the citizens of the Giant Shell city thank him as well, since preparing ANOTHER allowed everyone to regain their lost memories.

Chako’s grandfather remembers who he was, actually the old man that was hanging out in the slums that Komatsu met when Chako was captured. Chako’s mother also reveals herself to her son, thankful to meet him after what feels like hundreds or thousands of years in the Spirit World.

Without the Spirit Gates, no one can be revived, but Maymay notes that they should live the lives they have now to the fullest, since they were stagnating with how much experience they were getting without any real effort on their part. Kakino Kish even thinks she might want to fall in love, hinting that she’s gained some infatuation with Melk the 2nd.

Komatsu tells Chako that he’ll be willing to cook for him whenever, the kid asking for the chef’s autograph as they move to leave. As they depart, we see Stardust Rivers, the other ANOTHERs sending them off, Komatsu thanking the ingredients and the city yet again.

Don Slime is eating what seem to be mountains of fresh ingredients, Komatsu and Jiji talking about how it’s been so long since he’s been revived, so his appetite needs to be satisfied. But once Asarudy’s cells run out of energy, Don Slime will disappear again. Komatsu wonders if Don Slime could just make a copy of his body and revive into that but Jiji says it’s similar to Nitro’s bodies with how they work.

Gourmet Cells from a Gourmet Cell Demon or Nitro cannot coexist in the same body, since they’re very selfish in nature, so a copy of Don Slime’s body cannot house his cells, since they would destroy each other. There are rare instances, like Toriko, where 2 Gourmet Cell Demons can live in the same Gourmet Cell, but usually it’s one per body.

The reason why Asarudy was a good fit for Don Slime is partly because Don Slime was previously Asarudy’s Gourmet Cell Demon. He’s also in everyone else’s cells to an extent. His main body was in Ichiryuu’s cells, but after his death, he was in Limbo, his main body reverting to a smaller form in Blue Grill.

From there, the goal of the country’s project was no longer to revive Don Slime’s body, but Ichiryuu’s. After Asarudy ate the Full Course, Don Slime used the energy from possessing everyone else’s bodies and went into Asarudy’s body, fusing with his cells there and reviving himself.

The only way this was possible was due to Blue Grill being a sort of Back Channel in itself, doing such things likely impossible on the surface.

Love explains that this is how their souls were able to return to their original bodies. Lala, one of the 0th Biotope members, stayed behind to figure out if Blue Grill could be used as a ship, the Gourmet Eclipse only a week away now.

Don Slime reveals that Moon was eaten by NEO in the Soul World, GOD’s appearance imminent as well.

Everyone’s bodies react, aging rapidly from the time they experienced in the Soul World. Jiji says it will balance out once some time has passed on the surface, since it was only about 3 weeks there relative to the Soul World’s decades of time.

Toriko is still trying to take in all this explanation as we’re reminded of the fights going on: Don Slime versus NEO, Jirou versus the Blue Nitro and Midora versus Joa, the chapter ending on the last fight, Midora saying that Joa can’t save himself anymore with the Life orbs.

Fairy Tail 466

Zeref is approached by Invel, commanding him to advance the army to Fairy Tail, in order to acquire their ultimate magic, Fairy Heart. He also asks for a change of clothes, something befitting an emperor.

Meanwhile, Natsu and Happy are recovering, Natsu still in disbelief at his being told he is END and that killing Zeref will mean he ceases to exist as well. The two think there must be another way, not wanting to part.

Dimaria and Wahru’s true form arrive in South Fiore, thinking that it’s good they didn’t wipe the town off the map. Dimaria still wants to see Brandish captured, not satisfied with just imagining it. Neinhart, the 3rd Spriggan in their group, is still on the ship, unwilling to work with the others.

Mermaid Heel and Lamia Scale scope out the immense number of troops at Hargeon, where Dimaria and Wahru also await, Kagura encouraging them to fight for their country in spite of the overwhelming odds.

Meanwhile, in northern Fiore, Sabretooth is fighting Alvareth’s armies. But Yukino sees people fleeing from Bradman, the Spriggan known as the Grim Reaper, seemingly making people deathly ill, coughing up blood and the like.

Eastern Fiore is protected by the 3 Wizard Saints against Serena, August and a new Spriggan, Jacob. The 3 Wizard Saints cannot forgive the traitor from their ranks in his destruction of his own homeland.

We see that Jacob is lauded as a master of Assassination Magic, complimenting Jura on his hairstyle.

Back at Magnolia, Marin approaches Brandish, who demands to be freed. But her servant turns on his mistress, starting to choke her as the chapter ends with him saying that he won’t take her abuse anymore.
