No World Trigger or One Piece this week. But we’ve got a double dose of Magi

Boku no Hero Academia 70

In spite of efforts by heroes, they couldn’t find Shigaraki after the incident. The authorities even created a task force to combat Villain activities, instead of just a single investigator like before.

Midoriya is questioned by Tsukauchi, the head investigator from the Villain attack at Yuuei 3 months ago, thinking that with Shigaraki’s words, the alliance isn’t completely unified. He thinks he could’ve been more useful, but Tsukauchi reminds him that it was his calm reaction that allowed for people to be safe in spite of Shigaraki’s threat to everyone’s lives around him.

All Might meets Deku and Tsukauchi as they leave, Deku asking his idol if he’s failed to save someone. The #1 Hero says he has limits, even with all his power and that his status as the symbol of peace is for everyone in spite of the people he fails to save.

Tsukauchi thinks that Shigaraki’s speech about All Might suggests something, but he brushes it off as speculation, Deku picked up by his mother as they’re escorted home by another Hero.

All Might and Tsukauchi talk about how Yuuei needs to exercise caution, since the students will likely be targets of the villain attacks. But the suggestion of leaving doesn’t even occur to All Might, the investigator thinking that teaching doesn’t suit the symbol of peace. The two resolve to capture All For One as they part ways.

Aizawa tells the class that they’ll be changing the location for their safety, keeping it secret until the day of the training camp.

Bakugou tells Deku he should’ve fought, but the others say Deku was right to not act rashly with people in danger.

Time passes and the training camp starts, Class A and B meeting as they get on separate buses, even meeting characters that we haven’t seen before along with Monoma and Kendou.

Aizawa starts to explain their itinerary, but holds off as he sees everyone having fun and being kids, which he thinks will change soon.

At the first break, Class A meets the PussyCats, a hero group that specializes in mountain rescue missions, considered veterans with 12 years of experience, though Deku bringing up their age makes them a bit irritated at him, insisting they’re 18. They explain that they have influence over this area and point out the training camp’s location, which everyone has to get to in about 3 hours.

Everyone is thrown into the forest, referred to as holding “magic beasts”, which turn out to be giant monsters created by a Hero’s Quirk out of earth.

We find that the whole point of this training is to push the students even further, giving them advanced lessons a year ahead of what they’d normally do. Everyone pushes forward to their destination as the chapter ends.

Seven Deadly Sins 153

The chapter starts in another location, Fraudrin captured by the Azure Knights and meeting Denzel, their commander, as he awakens. Denzel is the younger brother of Bartra (or Baltra in some renderings), and he commends Fraudrin for being able to take over Dreyfus’ body, the man said to have a will of steel.

The place they’re at is where Denzel was researching various ancient magic texts, which had countermeasures in place to fight the Demon Clan should they arise again.

Bartra was suspicious of Dreyfus and Hendricksen 10 years ago, Denzel exiled after the Seven Deadly Sins were framed for murdering Zaratras and continuing his research in secret.

Fraudrin says he won’t reveal any information, Denzel stabbing him with a blade as he explains that it has immense power from the Druids to harm Demons.

The Demon manages to free himself, Denzel saying that all they do is for the sake of humanity’s future, which Dreyfus would support if he were not suppressed by Fraudrin.

Meanwhile, the other Pleiades are waiting outside, Arden getting bored and almost dropping an incantation sphere, which Waiyo manages to catch, still proposing to Deldrey. She ignores both of them, saying that she still wants to be escorted by someone like Fraudrin/Dreyfus.

Fraudrin and Denzel’s fight continues, the Pleiades leader utilizing a magic that makes Fraudrin remember all the people who he killed and they deal immense damage to him in seeking revenge.

Fraudrin tries to attack Denzel, but finds that there was a delay, Deathpierce revealing his magic, Melody, that alters the pace of offensive magic so that they’re useless.

The Demon tries to retreat, but finds he cannot punch through the Perfect Cube that surrounds them, only Deldrey and the others outside able to negate it.

Deathpierce brags about how they’re showing how humans can defeat even the Ten Commandments, but Fraudrin reveals he’s more of a substitute for the real Ten Commandment he served under.

He disappeared some time ago under mysterious circumstances, but now he’s found him, discovering his whereabouts at the battle in Liones. The nature of his Commandment caused him to forget his own self and identity, so he wasn’t even aware of his true identity.

The true Commandment of Altruism/Selflessness is Gowther, the chapter ending as the group he’s with, including Arthur and Meliodas, heads off to Vaizel as well.

Magi 286-287

Alibaba and Sinbad sit down to talk, both of them shocked, Amon’s King Vessel at the state of things after 3 years and the King of the 7 Seas at Alibaba being alive.

After explaining how Yunan preserved his body, Alibaba skips over his journey from the other world, directly asking Sinbad if he’s David from Alma Torran.

Sinbad is impressed, since no one else knows about this aspect of his mind, Alibaba explaining that his journey in the world of pure consciousness felt like an eternity, but also a mere instant.

The people of Alma Torran he met figured out that David had fused with Ill Illah and the black Rukh he created also fused with Sinbad at some point.

Alibaba thinks Sinbad is a good person, but wants to confirm whether he is connected to that man, Sinbad confirming it is so. Many years ago, he took in a great deal of black Rukh of others who had fallen and managed to stabilize his body afterwards, not unlike Alibaba in a way. Since then, he’s heard the voice of David, who he confirmed wasn’t just an illusion of his mind after Aladdin showed them Alma Torran.

In the last 3 years, he’s used the knowledge David gave him to advance the world, thinking there’s no way David could take him over.

Alibaba asks some other questions, such as what he knows of the Sacred Palace and Aladdin’s whereabouts, both of which Sinbad is just as ignorant of as Alibaba. But he also asks where Amon’s sword is, Sinbad saying they’re keeping them under watch, so Alibaba can’t have it.

Instead of taking Sinbad’s offer to be on the board of directors, Alibaba is given a voucher so he can travel through the Sindria Trading Company’s facilities for free.

After Alibaba leaves, Sinbad is alone, approached by Gyokuen in the guise of Hakuei, asking about his plans in regards to changing the state of things. Sinbad notes they need the power of the Sacred Palace, but Gyokuen speaks as if she still has her own agenda, the chapter concluding with the revelation that she’s Sindria Trading Company’s top consultant, likely holding as much, if not slightly more authority, than Jafar.

The next chapter begins as Alibaba heads on an airship to Kou, thinking there will be some clues there since that was where Aladdin last was. Sinbad also lets him know that the emperor of Kou is a special person to Alibaba, the Dungeon Capturer confused.

Alibaba is told that with his voucher, the other passengers think security will be tight, since he’s like a noble with it. But another person says that there’s always the possibility of danger over Kou, the ship attacked by air pirates abruptly.

They attack these ships because they have wealthy passengers, Alibaba stopping them with an unexpectedly expert skill in fighting as they arrive in Rakushou soon afterwards.

Everyone thinks it’s some form of magic, but Alibaba notes that it isn’t to himself as he’s approached by a grateful merchant, stated to be the one he was working for at the beginning of the series before he met Aladdin.

The chapter ends as Budel treats Alibaba as a good friend, Alibaba still a bit stunned.

Bleach 655

Gerard notes that miracles shouldn’t just happen in common circumstances, but in the direst of straits, which elicit a strong reaction from people.

The Miracle says he’ll show them such a power, but Byakuya quickly kills him, Rukia a bit shocked at how brutal her brother was. But Shinji notes that Gerard was dangerous and still hiding his trump card, so they had to be thorough, Byakuya striking him again for good measure.

But as the group leaves, a giant foot appears, nearly taking one of them out.

Gerard’s form is massive, towering over everyone as he explains the nature of his power, converting the damage he takes into power that allows him to grow.

He’s impressed at how much power he gained from them, throwing a tower he breaks off like a projectile.

Everyone tries to run from him, but his size allows him to ignore the attacks from Byakuya, seemingly defeating all the Soul Reapers in the area with a few hits as well.

The chapter ends as Gerard gloats over the others, saying there’s no way they can defeat him.

Toriko 351

As ANOTHER is completed, we see other spirits resembling the ingredient fly out of it and into people, Asarudy one of them. He sees his past, someone he knew calling his name as he tastes the flavor with his whole body.

Komatsu and the other see the flavor bursting out from the Spirit Kitchen, threatening to overwhelm the whole world with the amount of energy it’s releasing. Komatsu finds he can’t even seal it, since there was no cut on the fish to begin with.

Everyone retreats to the Food Spirit Gate, which may very well be destroyed by all this force released by one of Acacia’s Full Course ingredients, even Ika and Don Slime shocked at what’s happening.

Rin and Jiji are still putting everyone into their bodies when the gate explodes, the group appearing as Rin is stunned, since it seemed like no time even passed since they entered.

Chiyo awakens to see Chinchin, who explains to her that everyone’s exhausted after their journey. She tells him that she saw her son, Chiyuu, who thanked his mother. He said that even if she never prepared him food, he experienced so much love from her that its flavor is something he can never forget. The chef resolves to move forward with her life alongside Chinchin with the little time they have left.

Meanwhile, Asarudy’s flashback continues, the person he saw in his past called Silk, who he promised to meet at the Snow Church. He sees her corpse, long since dead over the years, asking Don Slime for a favor as we shift elsewhere.

Komatsu has prepared food that reminds Chako of his mother, the chef saying that even if he can’t taste other things, the flavor of his mother’s cooking is the most important thing for the boy. He was given the methods to prepare such flavors by Chako’s mother while she could still remember, Komatsu explaining that since the project of Blue Grill is complete, everyone will soon be able to eat ANOTHER together.

The destruction of the Food Spirit Gate seems to imply that the other gates are also destroyed. But Jiji notes that the Soul World itself still exists, since it’s a gathering of Gourmet Energy, the appetites sustaining it.

The others are worried about Don Slime, since they had to leave him behind, but Jiji says there’s no need to be concerned, since he can change his form into anything. He’s been slowly rebuilding his true body over the years, even aiding in the project from the start, which included giving energy to Reviver Ika in the Soul World.

We’re told again that the only host Don Slime really thought was compatible was Ichiryuu, but the Gourmet Cell Demon says he’s changed his mind, Asarudy now the new candidate, since he directly asked him before. His body reforms, the Gourmet Demon’s soul seemingly entering into things, such as a rock, and reconstituting itself quickly before the group.

In spite of the major loss that will happen to Asarudy, his body being overwhelmed by Don Slime’s cells and his own consciousness being eliminated or pushed out, the chef says that it’s better this way, since he managed to remember eating with the person he cared about the most and wants to share another meal with her as soon as he can. He meets her, seemingly passing on completely into the Soul World with her.

The chapter ends as Don Slime tells everyone they’re heading to the surface, his body apparently not as strong as it could’ve been with Ichiryuu, but strong enough to fight nonetheless.

Fairy Tail 465

Natsu nearly collapses from utilizing the power, telling Happy he’s got enough energy for one more blast as we see that Zeref managed to survive.

He tells Natsu that he may have the potential to destroy him and before that happens, he has to tell his younger brother the truth, revealing that he’s his older brother, even adding the surname Dragneel.

The research he did to resurrect Natsu after he and their parents were killed by a dragon allowed him to create the Etherious, which is what Natsu is as well. Specifically, he’s E.N.D.: Etherious Natsu Dragneel.

Natsu asks why Igneel is said to have never been able to kill E.N.D. in spite of his great power, Zeref saying that it was because he loved Natsu like a son and couldn’t bring himself to do it.

But the confusion continues with END supposedly being the creator of Tartaros, Zeref saying that Mard Geer was more directly the one who unified the group with the book, but Natsu the one that initiated the group’s existence as the original Etherious.

Zeref emphasizes how stubborn Natsu is, reflecting his behavior in the past after he was resurrected, as he shows the physical connection the book has to Natsu, shooting a blast through it, which noticeably hurts Natsu internally.

He explains that Igneel and other dragons weren’t opposed to helping humans, offering to teach various humans Dragon Slayer magic and seal themselves into their bodies to travel to the future in a sense.

The five children chosen: Wendy, Natsu, Gajeel, Sting and Rogue, all had a common trait of being orphans that they shared.

The dragons needed to travel to the future because of the dwindling of their power, since the Eternano wasn’t at the required density to recover their energy.

But it gets more confusing as Zeref reveals that the dragons traveled 400 years into the future with the help of the Eclipse Gate. Lucy’s mother, Layla, was the one to open the gate in the present, the children born 400 years ago taken to the present, at which point, they perceived their dragon parents disappearing, but in reality, they were merely sealed into their children to build their power back.

Zeref, being in the past, had to wait 400 years, meeting Mavis, seeing many eras rise and fall, slowly losing his empathy for humanity.

Natsu rushes at Zeref, saying he won’t believe any of this story, his brother saying that if he kills him, then he will cease to exist as well.

The Dragon Slayer is stopped by Happy, who tells him that he doesn’t want to lose him. Natsu reminds Happy that the power is running out, but Happy says that they need to stick together as friends.

The two retreat as the chapter concludes with Zeref saying that now they can never defeat him.
