Magi’s on break until at least
October 28th, so we’ll be without it until then. And One Piece is on break this
week, I missed that detail in the lower right corner of the chapter.
Boku no Hero Academia 63
We hear Bakugou and Deku’s
strategizing, the Explosion user noting how All Might is too fast to avoid a
fight, but the One For All inheritor thinking that it’s too tough a fight.
Bakugou then says that they need to have a close range attack with his Quirk to
get some distance between them and also manage some kind of damage on the #1
Hero.
The pair retreats after Deku
unleashes the blast from Bakugou’s gauntlet, All Might impressed at how they
targeted the place he’d already destroyed to avoid more damage to the town,
thinking how well they could work together in spite of their clashing
personalities. He thinks eventually they’ll become something great for the Hero
world.
Meanwhile, we see Todoroki and
Momo’s fight, the Creation Quirk user making little matryoshska dolls, which
confuses the Fire and Ice user a bit. Momo tells Todoroki about how she’s
impressed at how quickly he made up a strategy and can make split second
decisions, noting how she’s been the least impressive of the entire class so
far, only following everyone’s lead or panicking in the midst of battle.
Aizawa appears above them, capturing
Todoroki in his bonds. And before Todoroki can use his Quirk to get out,
Eraserhead throws caltrops, threatening him with the risk of landing on them
once he frees himself.
He compliments Todoroki on being considerate
to Momo, but he also thinks he should’ve discussed things with her in more
detail before the trial started.
Momo flees, thinking to herself that
she might’ve done the wrong thing in leaving her partner behind. Aizawa quickly
catches up to her, wrapping her arm to restrain her. But she notes that her
Quirk hasn’t been negated, making a shackle around her arm to free herself.
She heads back towards Todoroki,
Aizawa thinking that she’s really created an unrealistic standard of power,
making the Fire and Ice Hero someone that she sees as above her. Lacking self
confidence makes her limited in how useful she can be to a partner.
Todoroki thinks to himself that he
should’ve noticed that Momo wanted to say something before, the Creation Hero
appearing. She apologizes, Todoroki telling her that he trusts that she has a
good plan, since he voted for her in the class president elections, confident
that she was good at strategizing.
As Aizawa appears above them, Momo
throws her matryoshka dolls into the air, revealing they have flashbangs hidden
in them. With Eraserhead’s vision slightly obscured, the chapter ends as Momo
tells Todoroki she has a plan to get them out of here.
Seven Deadly Sins 144-145
Should’ve mentioned there are 2
chapters this week, plus the second season of the anime is sometime in 2016
Ban says that he doesn’t care who
Galan and Merascylla are, since they made Elaine suffer; he vows to kill them
both. He uses Snatch to pull out his Sacred Treasure.
Galan appears behind the Fox’s Sin,
using Critical Strike to slash him in half, causing a massive rupture in the
ground. Merascylla thinks he went too far, but the Truth notes that he needs to
get his revenge for Meliodas shaming him.
Ban, having recovered quickly as
usual, is interested that Meliodas wounded Galan, the Demon startled as to how
he survived.
Merascylla is intrigued, wondering
if everyone in the Seven Deadly Sins is like this, Ban commenting that they
are, and they like to kill people like the Ten Commandments.
As he punches the Faith away, Ban’s
head is punched off by Galan, thinking that would kill him. But Ban recovers as
usual, Merascylla noting that it can’t be a magic power, since that would
disappear with his death, so it’s a unique trait.
Galan, impressed at Ban’s power,
offers him a free shot, the Sin using Hunter’s Festival to steal the Demon’s
strength and smash him with the enhanced power he acquired through Snatch.
He hits him again, moving to strike
Merascylla. Galan still can’t counter even after he recovers, Merascylla noting
how he took all the strength of people in the area, Galan especially physically
focused. She even thinks that Ban’s Power Level may now be higher than Galan’s.
The chapter concludes as Ban eggs on
his opponents.
We begin the second chapter as Ban
persists in beating Galan, who’s still resisting well, impressing Ban at how
strong he is to have been beaten by Meliodas, much stronger than him.
Merascylla wonders why Ban doesn’t
steal more power, thinking that he has a limit, since he’s not one for fair
play, even thinking that the power he gained may eventually dissipate.
Her taunt pulls Ban to attack her,
but she surrounds him in a Cocoon of Darkness, Jericho and Elaine both
wondering what happened.
Ban finds he can’t hurt Merascylla,
who explains that her power, the Faith, is based on exploiting the weakness of
people’s hearts. Once one shows a loss of faith in whatever it is they have
trust in, their eyes are lit on fire. But she’s impressed at how Ban never
wavered in his trust of Elaine even when she was attacking him.
She thinks that if she merely kills
Ban’s body somehow, his soul will be free and go through reincarnation, but if
she kills his soul, his body will become an empty shell.
Ban’s soul is forced out of his body
by the Faith, his memories flooding him, all the moments of suffering and
anguish, but also happy times with Elaine and Meliodas.
Galan wants the soul, but Merascylla
claims she’ll take it. Jericho attacks her, Ban escaping. But the Demon of
Truth rushes up and grabs it, the chapter ending as he begins to eat the Undead
Sin’s soul.
Kind of doubt Ban will die, but he’s
definitely going to be hurting in some way, though we don’t know whether his
immortality extends in some way to his soul or if it’s purely his body.
World Trigger 118
Kinuta asks why Osamu’s here, Yuma
telling him his captain has business with Enedora. The R&D Head tells them
not to mess with anything while they’re working.
Enedora says that he’s already told
them everything they need to know about the two countries related to
Aftokrator: Galopoula or Rhodokhroun. But Kinuta notes that they don’t have
much information on their capabilities, only that they might attack separately
or together.
Even with the promise of watching
more movies like at the end of last chapter, with Raizou, the Neighbor notes
that it’s not his area of focus to take charge of those lesser countries.
All they really know is that they’ll
likely attack in the next few days, so all their defense will have to be done
covertly.
Kinuta tells Osamu and Yuma not to
let any of this info out, since it’s a delicate time for Border to preserve its
reputation and funding. If the people knew, things would be unstable and the
potential for more away missions would be lessened, as well as recruiting and
the like.
Yuma wonders how Enedora knows that
the two countries will attack, the former Black Trigger user noting that
Hairein has that kind of mindset, to use his subordinates to attack so that
Aftokrator won’t be targeted by Border’s counterattacks.
But Yuugo’s son wonders why they’re
not expecting Border to attack them directly or prepare for that, Enedora
explaining that they’re likely choosing their next God candidate, so they don’t
have time to worry about other things.
He gives them one more warning: they
shouldn’t tell Hyuse this, since he’s looking for any opportunity to get back
to his home country and even using Galopoula or Rhodokhroun would suffice for
him.
We shift to Sniper Training, called
Hide and Seek as the agents are transported to random locations on a map,
without radar, to target people with stamps that mark them as hit. They get 5
points for a hit, but -2 for getting hit. They can only hit a target once and
there’s no light or sound, so it’s a test of their stealth capabilities without
assistance.
Chika is hit, but quickly adjusts,
getting her target back with a shot to their back. Yuzuru notes how Chika can
shoot normally during practice, getting her from around 600M away, amazing the
young Border agent.
Training ends, Izuho not doing so
well, but Chika actually ranking higher than Yuzuru, getting into the top 20
with over 100 points. Isami, as the #1 Sniper, scored moderately, but was hit
by no one, making him practically one of the only ones to manage that. Yuzuru’s
impressed, Chika noting that Reiji taught her to hide well, so she can intuit
where other Snipers will hide as well.
All she really lacks is being able
to shoot people, Yuzuru thinking that she could’ve scored a lot of point shad
she been able to do that in the last few matches, especially the most recent
one against Ninomiya, Azuma and Kageura squad. Chika knows that Reiji doesn’t
expect her to be able to shoot people easily, since she’s so kind, but he has
trust that she’ll get there eventually.
Chika really wants to contribute to
the team more, so this training is a way for her to improve her overall skills.
Yuzuru remembers Hatohara telling
him how she felt useless, the Sniper telling Chika he might be able to help her
with her problem as the chapter ends
Bleach 647
Shunsui managed to avoid death, but
has been injured severely by Ex Axis’ attacks. He mourns the fact that Nanao
isn’t here to serve as someone to bounce his jokes off of.
Lille is impressed at how the
Captain Commander is avoiding him, but reminds him that any attacks would be
pointless against him. But Shunsui wonders if a kidou blade affects him, using
Hadou 78, Zangerin, releasing a ring of light around himself that destroys the
top of the tower they’re in.
Shinji’s group reaches the steps of
the main castle, but Gerard, the Miracle, crashes down after leaping from a far
off place, saying that he commends them for making it this far.
As Shinji notes they’re going past
him, he continues to speak, Renji attacking him. But before Shinji and the
others can get past him, he creates a wall with his cape, saying that they’ll
all have to face him to get to Juhabach and the others.
Shunsui is disappointed that his
kidou didn’t do anything, though he expected it to not be that effective to
begin with.
With all but one of his options
expended, he unleashes his Bankai: Kuromatsu Shinjuu, read as Black Pine Double
Suicide, a black figure hanging on his shoulders, implying a game with his life
on the line as he thinks what it’ll be like when he dies.
Toriko 343
Don Slime leaps away from Komatsu’s
group, slamming into the water and pushing himself into the air.
He goes into space, crashing on the
moon and shattering it as he bounds back to the earth, finding Acacia and NEO
as they’re feeding again, the two clashing in a massive burst of power.
Toriko is confused at what Komatsu
is telling him as we flash back to an hour earlier relative to where Toriko is,
even though Komatsu says it was decades that he took to prepare ANOTHER (being
Soul Food) and it was 2 days ago at Blue Grill, suggesting a massive time
dilation in various Gourmet World locations.
Pukin, a Reviver like Teppei, is
researching Safe Zones with Yun Yun the Wall Penguin. She thinks that the space
is connected to the Back Channel, making it so that the appetite isn’t
interested in whatever is there, also affecting space time on a precise level
of the area itself.
But as she starts to look closer, an
earthquake begins, Whale King Moon affecting a huge area of the sea nearby,
Food Spirits also gathering nearby as he sucks in massive amounts of food.
The cooking contest is at the last
match, Don Slime ending it early, recognizing the skill of the humans. They all
head to the Kitchen of Eternity, planning to prepare ANOTHER and apparently
resurrect Ichiryuu, the chapter ending on that reveal as Don Slime notes how
impressive the Gourmet Hunter was to him.
Fairy Tail 456
Natsu’s group is still fighting Kareem and Baqel,
the latter interested in Natsu’s scarf and the two of them evenly matched in
strength for now. Happy asks why Natsu doesn’t go full power, but the Dragon
Slayer says he needs to conserve his energy for future battles against stronger
opponents.
Meanwhile, Gajeel is attacked by Kareem, who
utilizes a mysterious dark magic.
Gray and Juvia are intimidated even with the smaller
numbers, since Alvareth’s mages are well trained compared to Avatar’s followers.
Elfman, Lisanna and Mirajane come in to offer
backup, Mirajane using Take Over and revealing she can now utilize Sayla’s
form, making her easily one of the higher leveled mages to fight in this
series, since Sayla was one of the Nine Demon Gates made by Zeref.
She commands most of the soldiers to sleep, only a
few managing to resist, to which Mira says they should be punched, impressing
Elfman.
Erza’s having difficulty using Requip while Azir
moves to completely drain her of water with his sand powers
Warren is panicking, not able to function well, but
Max snaps him out of it, saying that they’re all scared, but he has to push
through it and help everyone by communicating Mavis’ strategies. Warren
encourages Bisca not to give up, since she’s their major defense from the east.
Max and Warren bicker, since Max kicked Warren in
the groin, the Telepathy magic user responding by jamming a broom in his butt.
Mavis thinks she has to create a strategy to fight
against this situation as we shift to Lucy’s house.
Brandish offers Lucy the empty space left in the
bath, putting Marin in a tube so she isn’t embarrassed to be naked.
Lucy is still resistant, but Brandish says that as
long as Lucy does what she asks, the Nation Breaker won’t use her immense power
to shrink everyone in the town down to size and render them helpless.
The Stellar Spirit mage agrees after Brandish shows
her willingness to use the mass manipulation magic by shrinking the house next
door, the chapter ending as Lucy starts to take off her clothes, thinking this
will be a naked battle without her able to use her summoning magic.
