No One Piece or Bleach this week. And
Black Clover is being caught up in official Weekly Shounen Jump pretty quick,
about 3 chapters this week and next, from what I understand.
Boku no Hero Academia 38
Uraraka gets back to the stands,
passing off her crying as something else. Everyone’s concerned about how Deku
will deal with Todoroki’s powers
As the match begins, Shigaraki’s
employer notes that both Todoroki and Deku could become threats to the #1
Villain.
Both All Might and Endeavor seem to
recognize a connection of some sort between Deku and Todoroki, though I’m not
sure exactly what it is.
Deku plans to attack before Todoroki
can completely utilize his ice powers. He smashes through the first barrage
with a finger, utilizing 100% of All For One and breaking it. He does it again
with the next assault, not holding back, since he doesn’t know much about
Todoroki’s power.
Deku thinks he just has to wait for an
opening and then attack.
Kirishima arrives, commenting that
he’ll be up against Bakugou next. He thinks it’s amazing how he and Todoroki
can fire off their attacks without end, but the Explosion Quirk user says
there’s still a limit to how much they can use them, since they’re still
physical abilities in a sense. We know that Bakugou’s is his sweat, so that
would have a breaking point, and Todoroki’s could be similarly related to body
temperature
Todoroki figures that Deku is trying to
stretch the fight so he’ll tire out, so he rushes forward to attack, taking the
block of ice he was using to hold himself in place from Deku’s shockwaves and
slamming it down. He follows it up with another attack, Deku managing to stop
it by using his whole arm with an attack, rendering it useless.
The Fire and Ice Quirk user notes how
impressed he is with Deku, but he has to finish this, since he thinks Deku is
out of options, having attacked with his left arm, meaning he shouldn’t have the
right one free to attack.
But Deku attacks again with his right,
in spite of his broken fingers. He tells Todoroki that they’re all doing their best
and that he sees that Todoroki is shivering, only able to use his Ice power
alone for so long before he has to thaw himself out with his Fire side.
He demands Todoroki come at him with
everything as the chapter ends with Endeavor wondering what Deku is planning.
Seven Deadly Sins 122
The Ten Commandments note that the
power that was flowing like water millennia ago is now nearly dried up, so
their power will take longer to recover.
Fraudrin confirms that it’s just been
spread out, through plants, animals and humans.
One of the Commandments draws out a
human’s soul and eats it, another one doing the same and commenting that, while
it’s not the best, it does provide power and can be used to both eliminate the
humans and replenish their magic.
A smaller female Commandment creates a
Summon Ring to send out “honeybees” to get “honey” for them from a nearby
village
Meanwhile, we see Gilthunder, Howzer
and Griamore (the official spellings are why the latter two names are changed),
are heading towards a village called Byron.
Griamore and Howzer are bickering, but
they’re stopped by people wandering around like zombies, presumably having had
their souls ripped out as well.
The village itself is being attacked by
a Red Demon, like the one Ban fought 20 years ago and the one used by
Hendricksen to create the New Generation of Holy Knights.
Gilthunder’s group takes the monster
out, but a Gray Demon appears, the citizens retreating as they prepare to fight
it.
The chapter ends as Hendricksen warns
them not to underestimate the Gray Demon, the trio shocked at his appearance,
thinking him dead from the battle where Meliodas used Revenge Counter.
Magi 262
The
mysterious woman asks if Hakuryuu really wants to leave Alibaba, since he
supposedly desired to make him an ally, though she considers that he might not
need them at this point.
As Aladdin
wonders who the woman is, Hakuryuu says that he can’t tell Aladdin anymore
about his plans, considering him an enemy if he’s not an ally.
Aladdin
responds that was never his intention, Hakuryuu inquiring about what the Magi
plans to do now, wanting to hear his side even if they don’t agree.
Aladdin
responds that he just wanted to stop Ill Ilah. Hakuryuu responds that he’s
arguably accomplished that, since no one else in Al Thamen is strong enough and
the organization is scattered after their leader’s apparent death. And the
amount of black Rukh they had in reserve is now seemingly gone with Judar’s
“death”
Hakuryuu
decides he’ll go through with his plans, to achieve his goals, following
Aladdin’s lead.
Aladdin asks
him why he fell into Depravity, Hakuryuu responding that it isn’t necessarily
bad, especially if the threat of using Black rukh to summon Ill Ilah is gone.
But Aladdin
still thinks it’s something to be seen as wrong, since it means someone curses
the life they were born into. And the fact that they couldn’t accomplish their
goals, but went in the opposite direction is bad even if the Black Rukh isn’t
used for evil.
Hakuryuu
responds that if someone’s intent is good, then a person falling into Depravity
is a matter of circumstance. It’s because Hakuryuu has suffered that he wants a
different life.
Aladdin
leaves, wondering about Hakuryuu’s words before they parted.
The two
arrive back at Balbadd, where Kouen and the others are still waiting. Aladdin
explains the situation, Koumei and Kouen thinking that they have an advantage
with Judar out of the picture. Since both of Hakuryuu’s Metal Vessels use Life
magic and Kouen has Phenex, which also utilizes that type, they can use the
limit of damage on Djinns with the same type of magic to defend against his
attacks with them and assault him with Kougyoku, Kouha, Hakuei and Kouen’s
different Metal Vessels, 6 different types: Heat, Water, Strength, Wind and
Light (they seem to confirm that Dantalion is Light magic, which is interesting
with his space time magic abilities linked to that somehow)
Aladdin
brings up the mysterious woman, Koumei saying they’ll plan for that. Kouen
responds to Koumei’s consideration that Hakuryuu may seek help elsewhere by
concluding they have to take out Hakuryuu now, while the opportunity’s open.
The Magi is
shocked, asking them why they’d do this. Koumei responds this is the most
pragmatic and has the least deaths, compared to fighting the war that would
come about. But Aladdin still wonders why they’d fight family.
Koumei notes
that Hakuryuu has fallen into depravity, but Aladdin responds that he’s not
even sure if that’s wrong anymore.
Kouen
interjects, saying that people aren’t always absolutely wrong and that he has
his own reasons that motivate him to stop Hakuryuu. The chapter ends on his
resolve.
World Trigger 99
With Akane
the first to Bail Out, Nasu squad is now more imbalanced than before, Kumagai
the only one on her side and Nasu the only fighter on the opposite end.
The
commentators speculate about Yuma’s potential involvement, his power cut down
by losing an arm. Some think he might take out Kumagai and then cross the river
or just ignore both Kumagai and Murakami and go across the river to support his
team.
Supporting
the team might take priority over engaging in a battle that could result in him
losing survival points. They even think Kumagai and Murakami may also have been
thinking this, slowly inching towards the bridge themselves.
Kumagai
thinks she should try to finish this fight, but as she attacks Murakami, he
uses his Raygust to pin her Kogetsu down and slash off one of her arms.
In order to
keep fighting, Kumagai unleashes a Meteor attack with the Shooter Trigger,
similar to Akane in her fight with Yuma, but more direct than a bombing.
Jin thinks
it’s impressive, since you have to fight with more strategy against Murakami’s
Side Effect. The Operator for Kazuma squad thinks Nasu is especially passionate
today, but Tachikawa says that won’t matter if there’s a gap in power to begin
with.
But the #1
Attacker still says he acknowledges that she’s got guts, fighting better than
she has in the past.
Kumagai,
using her memory of Nasu’s fighting style, is able to do fair with the Meteor,
even though it’s not her specialty at all.
But as she
continues to try to push back Murakami into mid range, he uses Raygust’s
Thruster to push back her attacks, causing a huge explosion, making Kumagai
Bail Out.
Even after
she’s lost, she laid a trap, Murakami noting it as he kicks the remains of her
Kogetsu away, the explosion not affecting him from a distance.
Tachikawa
notes that the battle shouldn’t just be about who wants it more, but who has
trained harder and put in more effort to try to win.
The chapter
ends as Yuma meets up with Murakami, saying Osamu gave him permission. But
Murakami says he doesn’t have time to waste on Yuma.
Toriko 320
Toriko is
excited to eat PAIR, even his cells heightened with eagerness. Sani uses Satan
Vomit to bring Toriko’s arm he had saved from before.
Since the
cells are still so active, they connect easily to the stump and Komatsu uses
the Angi (Dark Technique) to make sure things are working properly.
The group
checks to see how PAIR is coming along and it’s incredibly slow in dripping.
We see Kaka,
who appears different than before (very prominent and female eyelashes),
explaining that it would take hundreds of millions of years to prepare enough
for everyone, since it would take at least 2 hours to prepare enough for even
one person.
Zebra attacks
the Nitro, but finds his punch passes through it, suggesting they’re only there
in spirit.
Komatsu
recognizes Kaka as the one who taught him the preparation method for PAIR in
the Back Channel. Kaka then begins to explain the cooking method, which is very
painstaking and time consuming.
But Komatsu
notices something like a hole in the orb, poking it with his knife. The soup
starts to gush out, shocking everyone, especially Kaka, who said it would
normally take at least a month with the method the Taste Hermits developed.
As everyone
drinks it, Toriko finding his Gourmet Demon has unlocked the right arm, they
find that they’ve all changed sexes. Kaka explains that this is part of the
power PAIR possesses. They can switch back after drinking another spoonful. But
they also are now able to see the Back Channel, since they are, in a sense, now
dead, since life and death are as much two halves of the same coin as male and
female.
The chapter
ends as we see Guemon and Malee, the two members of 0th Biotope who were tasked
with getting PAIR by Ichiryuu, seemingly dead, having failed their mission, not
unlike others, who barely managed to survive, like Melk the First losing an arm
and Atashino losing an eye in their fight.
Fairy Tail 428
Wendy is
still tending to Juvia, worried about whether Natsu’s group has found Gray. The
thought of them fighting on different sides makes them sad, though they recall
the two often fought in the past anyway.
Natsu and
Gray’s fight, where they both land a solid punch to each others' jaw, is interrupted by the Flame Dragon Slayer and Ice Demon Slayer’s
banter. When asked what he’s doing here, Gray responds he does what he wants,
Natsu saying he shouldn’t when Juvia is waiting for him.
Gray says
that Fairy Tail’s done after Natsu claims they need him to revive the guild,
but Natsu responds that their memories still exist. Gray says that he has his
own path now and that they should leave him alone.
Lucy slaps
him as Gray says they shouldn’t try to be friendly with him, insisting they are
friends. But Lucy is suddenly hit with pain in her stomach from Mary, another
member of Avatar.
Natsu and
Virgo are captured by magic stone chains released by Goumon, Happy manipulated
by Abel’s Curse Doll.
As Natsu
tries to rush to save Lucy, Jerome appears, threatening Lucy with his blade as
the group is captured.
Gray
emphasizes how he’s changed by revealing he removed the Fairy Tail crest on his
chest.
We see Levy,
also a member of the Magic Council’s army, having infiltrated Avatar. She
inquires about Gray, Gajeel confirming that he’s become their enemy.
Pantherlily says they were once friends, but Gajeel responds that it doesn’t
matter now, since Operation Purification will kill many innocent people.
The chapter
ends as Pantherlily wonders if Gajeel can really fight a former friend, the
Iron Dragon Slayer responding that he has no choice
