~~~~Gen is convinced to join Senkuu, telling Tsukasa that he’s dead, as Senkuu promises that he’ll make cola for the mentalist, who manages to avoid being killed by one of the villagers through preparing ahead with a blood pouch and guarding his vulnerable spots.
~~~Rizu and Yuiga see a movie with a kiss scene, Rizu still trying to process a recurring dream where Yuiga kisses her and what it means with her own feelings. She decides to kiss him as an experiment, leaving him abruptly after they discussed how she doesn’t comprehend kissing with her present perspective of pure logic.

~~~~Mirio continues to fight, his Quirk destroyed by an improved version of the bullet that hit Suneater before. His abilities are such that even 5 minutes afterwards, he retains an advantage over Chisaki, Deku bursting in to save him as he’s on his last legs protecting Eri.
~~~~Meliodas and Escanor have to recover, Elizabeth convincing Merlin to let her in the Perfect Cube to stabilize his progression into evil. Merlin entrusts the protection of Camelot to Gowther, King and Diane as we see Orlondi approached by Arthur.

~~~~Asta and Magna clash, Magna using a new technique to outwit Asta, while Zora prepares more traps. Sol traps Mimosa, helping Kirsch out and trying to convince him that he needs to cooperate with commoners like her and Magna.
~~~~David seems to convince Sinbad to join him, Ugo wondering what’s going on. Meanwhile, Judal and Hakuryuu are facing off against the International Alliance, who begin to summon their Extreme Magics to attack. Kougyoku and Koumei are conflicted about whether they really should follow destiny, something odd happening as David appears behind them in a spiritual form.

One Piece is on break this week, forgot to note that at the end of the last chapter. Pedro seemingly dying was too much to process, I guess

Dr. Stone 26

We learn that Gen was depetrified ten days before he met Senkuu, somewhat establishing a chronology as the scene focuses on a flashback to when Tsukasa revived the mentalist. He then shows him the statues, all tough and muscled men, meant to enhance his army against Senkuu.

Tsukasa tells Gen that he’s aware of his abilities, tasking him with finding Senkuu to check if he has somehow survived.

In the present, Suika wonders if Gen is a bad person, since she understands roughly that Tsukasa, his comrade, is bad. Senkuu notes that Gen is needed for his kingdom of science regardless of his loyalty. They plan to have him convey a fake message to Tsukasa that Senkuu is dead.

Chrome talks to Gen, trying to convince him that the science kingdom is the more interesting option. Gen appreciates his passion, but says that he’s just a smooth talker, an opportunist, seemingly leaving the group.

 Out of nowhere, Gen is attacked and seemingly killed by someone stabbing a spear into his chest.

Chrome, Kohaku and Senkuu find him, Senkuu checking and discovering that he had a guard and a blood pouch that made it seem like he was killed. The head of the science kingdom’s impressed how much Gen is like a magician in his preparation.

Kohaku is worried that with the injury, Gen still won’t be able to exert himself, and that means Tsukasa may come to find him and discover that Senkuu is still alive.

Gen whispers something to Senkuu, disappearing while everyone’s away. We see him running, pushing himself in spite of his injury, Chrome worried that he’ll reveal that Senkuu’s still alive to Tsukasa.

We see Gen reporting to Tsukasa about the village, but before we learn what he tells him about Tsukasa, we shift back to Senkuu’s group.

Senkuu explains that Gen was already interested in science, since otherwise he would’ve just abandoned them to be attacked by Magma.. He was thoroughly convinced when electricity was involved in the equation, but Gen still has to maintain his air of being a smooth talker

But we then learn that Gen was asking Senkuu while he was recovering whether he could make cola, Senkuu saying that it’s a given with him.

Turns out that Gen has conveyed to Tsukasa that Senkuu is dead, nowhere to be found and that he’s been convinced to join Senkuu with the promise of a bottle of cola

The chapter ends as Kohaku and Senkuu note that this is the first step in fighting Tsukasa’s empire, now moving on to make the cola

We Can’t Study 29

Rizu has a somewhat erotic dream, Yuiga closing in for a kiss as he asks her a question in the library. She wakes up, confused and looking up the meaning of kiss, which she’s surprised about in some way

The next day, everyone finishes their finals, math the last exam. Fumino and Uruka are exhausted, Yuiga telling them they can take a break today.

Rizu approaches Yuiga, saying that she has a different question, unrelated to the exam as she presents a pair of tickets to a movie.

It’s a romance film, Yuiga thinking it’s fine to watch it, even if he hasn’t seen a movie since he was in elementary school. He gets into it as the couple kisses, though he is embarrassed at how long they hold their smooch, remembering when he and Rizu accidentally kissed before.

Afterwards, Yuiga is shocked that Rizu is confused at this, thinking she picked it because she was interested in the genre.

She tells him she doesn’t feel like she cares about the couple. A girl a few rows ahead of them is crying profusely, Rizu thinking she’s not normal if she doesn’t feel such emotions. It turns out it’s Sekijo, who wants to invite Rizu to see it next time, Yuiga even thinking the back of her head looks familiar, though he doesn’t recognize her.

Rizu explains that she chose it because her research said it had the best kiss scene of any movie playing now, even noting she wants to see more kisses in various contexts, which Yuiga is stunned at.

After she tells Yuiga that she’s been having a recurring dream involving kissing, the last one especially vivid, Rizu is curious about kissing and its significance.  She’s been trying to understand kissing from a rational perspective, but it isn’t working. Yuiga observes that she wasn’t that into it, even though he did have that reaction to it based on their accidental kiss.

Yuiga asks if the dream involves her kissing someone, Rizu locking up as she can’t process this very emotional moment.

He then realizes he drank her soda, Rizu bringing up that it’s what they call an indirect kiss.

As the two begin to part, Rizu thinks about their accidental kiss collision and tells Yuiga they should try it again.

The chapter concludes as she abruptly kisses him and then leaves Yuiga confused at her action.

Black Clover 124

We start the chapter as Mimosa attacks Sol with her Sunflower attack but Sol uses Kirsch’s advice to have a second earth golem attack her from below, trapping her instead of attacking, since she doesn’t like to hurt women as a member of the Blue Rose.

Sol then goes to look for Magna, while we shift over to Asta and Zora looking over Kirsch’s defeated body

Zora lays into Kirsch, saying he’s a failure of a Magic Knight to be overly dependent on his magic instead of thinking that they may use a simple pitfall that Asta dug. He acknowledges the Coral Peacock’s Vice Captain is strong, however, setting up traps to make sure he can’t get out easily, even moving to bury him in the hole, which even Asta thinks is a bit much

Magna arrives, running faster with Flame Enhancement magic. But he stops short, saying that he has a strategy to beat Asta.

Magna unleashes a fireball, but as Asta tries to block it and send it flying back, it disappears, appearing behind him to hit the crystal. It’s a new technique that Magna’s developed to counter Asta, who surprised him when he first entered the Black Bulls.

Asta is divided, not wanting to leave the crystal, but unable to get close enough to Magna, since he can still enhance his mobility with his previous spell he displayed.

Zora tells Asta to hold Magna off for 5 minutes, Asta agreeing as he understands whatever strategy he has in mind.

Meanwhile, Kirsch is woken up by Sol after he remembers seeing commoner children steal from the market with Mimosa when they were younger.

Kirsch is shocked to learn even Sol is a commoner, but she tells him that the Wizard King explained that this was meant to be a way for people to overcome their differences. She even asks Kirsch if there’s something he’s willing to fight for in order to set aside his prejudice against commoners

Asta is having trouble countering Magna’s technique, Magna thinking that this is how he fights as a commoner, not having as much mana as a royal, but compensating with a compact technique like this that can overwhelm them

But Asta starts to get the pattern, blocking a few of the fireballs. Magna unleashes more, Asta still only able to block 4 out of 5, the crystal in danger of being destroyed.

Magna tells Asta that he won’t fight Yuno in the finals, that it’ll be him and Luck instead, continuing to blast Asta with his attacks and Asta blocking them as best he can.

Kirsch appears, recovered enough to fight as the chapter ends with Zora saying he’s done with preparations.

Boku no Hero Academia 152

We see a flashback where Chisaki explains that they’ve refined the bullets to completely erase someone’s Quirk, but it took them a month to just get 5 bullets made. He thinks they need to pay in some money to get better equipment for their project to progress further

In the present, Nemoto is hesitating as to where he should shoot, not wanting to waste the bullet and concerned about how to hit someone who phases through things

He decides to target Eri, taking advantage of Mirio’s emotional weakness of wanting to protect her.

Mirio sees Eri, who’s not even crying out because of her habit to hide the pain she’s felt since she was taken by Chisaki for his experiments.

He dives to protect her as the bullet is fired, remembering how he was warned as a kid that his Quirk was dangerous, his father, who had the same Quirk, quitting his quest to be a Hero because of the risk it had. But Mirio pushed himself, getting recognized as one of the Big Three alongside Hadou and Amajiki. Mirio thinks that he’s certainly accomplished a lot at 17 years old

In the present, he’s struck by the bullet, Nemoto happy that he succeeded and Chisaki mocking him for his trying to be a Hero just because he has such a great Quirk.

But as he moves to attack, Mirio kicks Chronos at him to distract the yakuza leader while he punches him, dodging the counterattack.

Nemoto is stunned at this, since now Mirio is affected by the Dead Drunk Quirk, lacks his own and is having to protect Eri all at once, yet he still has the advantage.

The sheer skill and strength Mirio has is explained by him fighting for 5 minutes after being hit by the Quirk destroying bullet in spite of being in a 2 on 1 fight

Lemillion is on his last legs, stabbed by rock spears that Chisaki’s made with his Quirk, still protecting Eri.

Chisaki says he’ll cure him of his Hero disease with Eri’s power, still asking him if he wants to be a Hero or if he also wants to protect Eri.

Mirio calls Chisaki by the name he’s thrown away as he thinks of everyone who believed in him, especially Nighteye and Amajiki, Overhaul moving to finish him off.

But the chapter ends as Deku bursts in through the wall, ready to save his friend.

Magi 362

David taunts Sinbad, saying that as the battle goes on, he’ll still get stronger with the magic returning the world to the Rukh unable to be stopped by Aladdin. Meanwhile they’ll just keep inverting the hierarchy of the gods in their fight, seemingly endless.

But Sinbad says he can still win, which David retorts to by saying that Sinbad was desperate, since he couldn’t see destiny as he once could, so he went to the Sacred Palace to try and change things.

Sinbad thinks he might be right, moving to take David’s hand.

Ugo is still trying to do something, wondering what this battle between Sinbad and David for the role of God will really accomplish, but notices something, seemingly getting an idea of what Sinbad’s plan is here.

Meanwhile, Hakuryuu and Judal are fighting off Takeruhiko of Kina and the angels still trying to return Sindria to the Rukh, though Hakuryuu seems to be getting irritated at how Takeruhiko is so stubborn about this.

Judal stops him, thinking they should give up, but Hakuryuu says there’s still something they can do.

But Yamato, Kougyoku and the others, including Muu, start to activate their Extreme Magics.

Kougyoku and Muu still feel conflicted at what Alibaba said, that they should fight for something because they choose it, not because destiny tells them to.

They continue to fight, Kougyoku and Koumei remembering that Kouen entrusted the empire to them after he was exiled along with Kouha. They struggle against destiny, but are still forced to act by the figurative chains that bind them, their Extreme Magics nearly unleashed.

Alibaba prepares to defend, but something odd happens, halos seeming to appear around the four King Vessels as what seems to be a vision of David appears behind them, the chapter ending on this bizarre occurrence.

Seven Deadly Sins 233

The group realizes that the dimensional distortion has been dispelled thanks to removing Merascylla’s magic.

But Elizabeth wants to heal Meliodas, Merlin warning her that he’ll attack if he recovers his strength.

Escanor is confident he can still beat Meliodas, Diane cheering him on, which makes him irritated that she’d say something so obvious. Merlin lightly punches him, saying he’s trying to act all tough, as Escanor falls over, exhausted

Ban is still beating himself up over his powerlessness, Elaine comforting him by saying he shouldn’t think that way.

Merlin explains that the situation is worse than they think, Escanor’s Sunshine power such that he burned through a lot of it from reserves to even beat Meliodas, who has less damage than him by comparison

Meliodas being as dangerous as he is means they have to do something. He gets up briefly, Merlin using Shock Stinger to pin him down. Elizabeth pleads with her to stop, but Merlin tells her they have to seal him in Perfect Cube or he’ll go with his evil tendencies now and kill them all.

Elizabeth volunteers to stay in the Perfect Cube as well to stave off his progression towards evil as much as she can, Merlin agreeing, but also stating that she will stay here as well.

The Boar’s Sin tells the others to go and save Camelot from the Ten Commandments, since that was ultimately their mission in coming here.

Merlin entrusts this mission to King, Diane and Gowther, now the strongest members able to fight while she thinks of a way to return Meliodas to normal.

Gowther and the others are worried, though even Gowther, calculating the probabilities, is hopeful that Meliodas will recover and go back to normal rather than his evil self we’ve seen now.

King tells Helbram that they’ll fight to protect everyone as he made the sacrifice to save them.

We shift over to Camelot, where Orlondi is still hiding out, spying for Merlin. A giant centipede demon crashes through and he dodges.

The chapter ends as Orlondi is discovered by Arthur, who asks him to tell him everything he knows about Merlin.
