Magi chapter is delayed, so
hopefully we’ll start again next week
Dr. Stone 27
Suika returns with news of the
culprit behind Gen’s attempted murder: it’s Magma. We see him gloating to
Mantle about killing him, though he also wanted to take out Kohaku. Now that
they’ve defeated Gen, they think even Kohaku should be an easy target. He even
thinks that he could make her and Ruri his women in the future, Mantle saying
that’d be awesome.
Kohaku deduces that Magma must’ve
thought that Gen was the outsider sorcerer that she brought rather than Senkuu,
not knowing what he looked like, only having heard about him.
Chrome and Senkuu find it hilarious
that Gen managed to trick him, though Kohaku finds it a bit sad, since Gen had
to be beaten up. The two men say that it’s fine, claiming that men aren’t
supposed to pity each other and that their laughing at him is proof that
they’re friends. Senkuu still tries to say it’s just an alliance, Kohaku
finding the whole thing silly.
Senkuu asks why Magma would want to
kill Kohaku, the reason behind it likely being the Village Games, a tournament
of fighters to determine the next chief and the spouse of Ruri, who had
recently turned 18.
In between matches, Kohaku heard
Magma speaking about how he doesn’t care about Ruri, just wanting the position
of chief, even threatening to kill her and make it look like a suicide.
The winner of the Village Games was
Kohaku, her father Obsidian enraged at the turn of events and Turquoise
wondering what they’ll do about her husband
Kohaku explains that they’re redoing
the games in a month, Chrome thinking that must be why Magma tried to kill Gen.
Senkuu thinks that this makes things
tougher, since Magma becoming chief would mean that they couldn’t give Ruri the
cure-all even if they managed to make it.
Kohaku counters, saying that if
someone from the Kingdom of Science manages to beat Magma and become chief,
they can marry Ruri and then give her the cure-all, as well as expand the
populace of the Kingdom of Science in the process.
Kinrou and Ginrou are asked if
they’ll help, Ginrou more than willing, though Kinrou speaks as if he still is
obeying the rules, incidentally hearing the situation rather than asking about
it directly. They both agree to start training under Kohaku, Chrome considered
too weak to be trained for the tournament by Kohaku.
Chrome remembers when he vowed to
help Ruri when they were younger, willing to travel anywhere to heal her
disease. He says he’s fine as long as she’s healthy and happy, even if Kinrou
or Ginrou marries her.
He and Senkuu focus on making the
sulphonamide for Ruri, the next step actually making glass according to Senkuu.
In order to do the chemistry required, earthenware won’t be good enough.
The chapter ends as Senkuu says this
will help them get the melon gourd off of Suika’s head and reveal her true
face, pulling it off to her shock.
We Can’t Study 30
We see that Rizu actually didn’t
kiss Yuiga, hesitating at the last moment, leaving Yuiga even more confused as
to why she didn’t close the distance.
The next day, the group is reviewing
their tests to improve their future performance by looking at the answers they
missed
Uruka and Fumino leave, Rizu and
Yuiga studying alone together. Rizu asks Yuiga about a passage from a book
regarding a scene where someone hesitates to kiss someone they’re interested
in. She asks him why someone would hold back like that, Yuiga saying they can
discuss that later.
Rizu surprises him by constantly
coming close for a kiss and then pulling back, Yuiga eventually stopping her.
She explains that she wanted to learn the nature of kissing through an
experiment. After their accidental kiss, she thought she’d try to do it
willingly but still hesitated when she tried to kiss Yuiga yesterday.
She realizes that she might have
done something rather inappropriate, explaining to Yuiga that she’s always had
this focus for finding an answer and it alienated her from people when it came
to things that didn’t have a clear cut answer, different feelings generating
multiple answers in the language arts.
Rizu asks Yuiga if she’s weird,
Yuiga affirming as much. But he also qualifies that such a quirk is what makes
her cool since she can be so focused on something and want to find the answer,
something Yuiga lacks.
But he still chastises her for
treating a kiss so lightly when he thinks it should be regarded as very
important, almost sacred. Rizu agrees to tell him next time so he can help her
with such questions, even saying he seems to know a lot about kissing, Yuiga embarrassed
at her saying that when it’s clearly not true
Rizu notices that her anxiety about
the dream with Yuiga kissing her has disappeared, the two continuing their
studying session with new vigor.
The pair heads home, cicadas chirping
to show that it’s still summer. Yuiga moves to get one off of Rizu’s head,
which she mistakes for him leaning in for a kiss, the chapter ending as she’s
angry at him confusing her.
Black Clover 125
Asta is against the wall, unable to
fight both Kirsch and Magna, but Zora tells him to take out Kirsch, since he’s
placed a magic circle on the crystal that reflects Magna’s spells back
Magna moves to hit it back again but
the spell even duplicates the disappearing ability, blasting him, seemingly out
of the match for good now.
Kirsch prepares a final attack to
defeat Asta once and for all, regarding his antimagic as something worse than
being a commoner.
But he’s caught in a trap that Zora
placed in midair, giving Asta the opportunity to beat Kirsch down again.
Sol appears to destroy the crystal,
but finds her golem can’t move, revealed to be restricted by Mimosa’s Control
Magic Vine that she implanted into it while trying to attack with Sunflower.
Asta and Zora have bought enough
time for the vine to allow her control of the golem, revealing the crystal that
was hidden in it, Asta slashing it in two with his sword to win the match.
Zora criticizes both Sol and Magna,
saying they can do better if they just focus on refining their magic and not explain
their techniques respectively. And he attacks Kirsch more harshly for being so
arrogant and being defeated by someone he initially wrote off and losing his
composure to be defeated again.
Kirsch is approached by Mimosa,
admitting to his sister that commoners can be driven to extremes, but they can
be beautiful in their efforts. Mimosa admits that Kirsch has become more
beautiful now in his willingness to fight beyond how he limited himself before.
He begrudgingly admits to himself that the fight of Asta and Magna was
beautiful in its own way.
The chapter ends as we see that
Finral and Langris’ teams are the next ones to face off in the quarterfinals.
Boku no Hero Academia 153
We flashback to Deku and Aizawa’s
group trying to figure out how to get out of the labyrinth of halls that
Irinaka has created. Since the drug’s worn off, his Quirk is far weaker than it
was before, so they can’t get out normally, though Nighteye says he’s figured
out where Eri’s room is.
But everyone’s also concerned about
the League of Villains being involved, the police not wanting to let them go.
Rock Lock tells Aizawa and the other Heroes to leave it to the cops, their
priority to save Eri.
Deku promises to do so, Rock Lock
remembering that he has his own kid and that colored his judgment of having the
Yuuei kids in this mission, but they surprised him, showing that they’re just
as capable Heroes as the adults, the Key Hero saying he’ll hold Deku to that.
We shift over to Toga and Twice,
both wanting to get out of here, though Toga also wants to see Overhaul suffer.
They think that if the Heroes meet up with the yakuza, the fight will
definitely reach its end and they hope that both sides will be too weak to
fight back against them
As Deku bursts into the scene, he
rushes at Overhaul, punching him. The rest of the group moves to take down the
yakuza leader, unable to use his Quirk due to Eraserhead’s Quirk.
But Chrono,
out of Aizawa’s field of vision, uses his Quirk to slash him with something
like a hand from a clock, Chrono explaining that whoever’s damaged by it will
have their movements slowed, though Deku was pushed out of the way by Aizawa at
the last second
Chisaki thinks to himself that his
plan worked out, using the moment he could activate his Quirk to repair
Chrono’s damage so he could attack unawares.
Chisaki manages to push back the
Heroes as Aizawa has to blink and turns to Nemoto, destroying them both in an
instant and then fusing them together in a new monstrous form as the chapter
ends with Overhaul demanding that they give Eri back to him.
One Piece 878
We flashback to when Pedro had 50
years of his life taken by Big Mom, returned to Zou by ship. Perospero taunts
him, saying he’s lived as if he’s 77 now, even though he’s only 27. He further
mocks the name of the pirate crew Pedro’s part of, the Nox Pirates, meaning “night”.
Pedro retorts that every night will
proceed to day, implying it’s symbolic as we see him remember meeting Roger,
unable to join him to find the One Piece.
As the scene shifts back to the
present, Pedro remembers that he wanted to become the groundwork for the dawn
of the New World and if he has to sacrifice his life, at least he’ll choose the
way he dies.
Everyone’s in shock at Pedro’s
sacrifice, but Perospero’s Devil Fruit powers are negated, the Thousand Sunny
freed from the candy and Brook and Chopper no longer being turned into candy.
Oddly enough, even Big Mom falls unconscious for some reason, the situation
ideal for the Straw Hats to escape.
Nami has to hold back Carrot, saying
that this is their best chance to escape
Luffy asks Nami if they’re ready to
use Coup de Burst, Nami confirming as much, Jinbe asking them how to use it,
ready to set sail. Luffy emphasizes that they need to take this opportunity or
they won’t be able to face Pedro
Katakuri is readying himself to
attack, the vessels from Big Mom’s crew ready to unleash their assault as well.
Carrot is enraged, remembering how
Pedro encouraged her to become a strong warrior and reminding her that every
person will have their moment when it’s their time, alluded to before with
regard to Pedro sacrificing himself.
Katakuri easily knocks down Carrot
as she rushes him, Luffy insisting that their ship will sail, though Katakuri
wonders if Luffy has the power to stop him
Luffy uses Gum Gum Elephant Gun,
blocking Katakuri’s movement so he can’t attack anyone else.
The ship is ready to leave, Big
Mom’s fleet firing their cannonballs.
But suddenly, Big Mom herself
appears, threatening to take down the Thousand Sunny.
Out of the cloud of dust from the
explosion, Nami is stunned to see Perospero, still alive, though barely
standing as we see one of his arms was blown off along with his Candy Armor.
Luffy tells the others that he’ll
meet up with them again, Jinbe initiating the Coup De Burst as the group flies
into the sky, Amande reporting as such to the others.
We see that Luffy, Brulee and
Katakuri went into the Mirror World, Luffy smashing the mirror that connects
back to the Thousand Sunny, the chapter ending as he and Katakuri prepare to
fight
Seven Deadly Sins 234
Arthur notes that Orlondi’s
screaming brought another demon to their location. He dodges it, opening up a
passage that Orlondi follows him into.
Suddenly, Orlondi can’t even sense
Arthur’s presence anymore, wondering how he did it. But then Arthur appears
behind him, to his shock.
Arthur asks about Merlin, though he
thinks she’s fine and he doesn’t need to worry about her.
He opens a door, people from Camelot
swarming him, concerned for their king’s well being. Orlondi is introduced as
Merlin’s familiar by Arthur, but Cath, the cat that’s appeared on Arthur after
his training with the Druids, mocks him, saying he’s just an eyeball.
Everyone’s celebrating as Orlondi
comments that they’re so carefree in spite of demons sacrificing humans to
break the Goddess Seal in Camelot’s capital. But Arthur says they need to have
positive feelings so they can face the problems that they experience now, such
as losing their loved ones to the demons.
But the people say that they truly
believe Arthur can reclaim Camelot, Orlondi thinking that’s impossible for
Arthur. Cath then lands on Orlondi, squishing him as if to mock him for making
light of Arthur.
Nanashi appears, having been
scouting the area. He notes how the Goddess’ Seal is weakening, 55 presences
coming out of it. Arthur says he’s defeated twice that many, Nanashi praising
him for his improvements, though Nanashi is credited by Arthur for his training
to become this strong.
We see the demons continuing their
rituals, but the group is suddenly killed by some unseen force, slashed into pieces
as if by a blade.
Shifting back to Arthur, Nanashi
tells him they should initiate the plan. Orlondi wonders if they’re all going
to march on the capital, but Arthur says only he’ll go, needing to get
something to guarantee their victory against even Zeldris.
That thing is Excalibur, the Holy
Sword, something we see even Zeldris cannot pull out.
A Gray Demon reports that 100 demons
have been killed, Zeldris frustrated that they still cannot figure out who does
this, like some angel of death swooping on them unawares.
Suddenly, he gets a communication
from the Demon King himself, who says that the Demon King is awakening, not
referring to himself, but the one that will become the inheritor of his title,
Meliodas.
The chapter ends as the Demon King
commands Zeldris to rescue Meliodas, the new threat on the horizon for our
group.
