Dr. Stone 19
Senkuu’s amazed at Chrome’s stash of
minerals, the primitive sorcerer noting that he won’t lose in terms of a
collection even if he’s less of a scientist compared to Senkuu.
Kohaku just thinks they all look
like rocks, but we see Senkuu and Chrome look at the individual samples,
including one that’s lead. Ginrou doesn’t really see the appeal anymore than
Kohaku, commenting how he used to collect bugs but is grossed out by them now.
Kinrou says it’s fine as long as
they stay outside the village, Kohaku leaving to give the hot spring water to
her sister.
Senkuu explains that Chrome even has
cinnabar, which can be melted down to become mercury and used like a
philosopher’s stone in a sense with gold. He submerges Kinrou’s spear, making
it gold. But Kinrou isn’t moved by this act of kindness at first, but later
thinks it’s okay as he imagines showing it off, since his name means Golden
Wolf.
After seeing that Chrome has a bunch
of medicinal herbs, Senkuu is told by Chrome that he’s only tested them out on
himself so far, but he became a sorcerer to try and heal Ruri, Kohaku’s sister
of her disease
We shift over to Ruri, thanking her
sister for bringing even one jug of the water, though Turquoise and Jasper say
Kohaku isn’t taking things seriously if she only brought half of what they
need.
Ruri asks to talk to Kohaku alone,
the other two not wanting to leave their priestess alone, though she insists
since it’s her sister.
She observes that Kohaku’s knot
changed, meaning she must’ve been in danger, though she starts coughing after
straining herself. Ruri tells Kohaku she shouldn’t do such things for her,
since she thinks she doesn’t have much time left herself.
Chrome asks Senkuu if there’s any
way to heal Ruri, Senkuu saying they need more materials if he’s to even get
some remote cure. But first he says he needs to tell Chrome about what happened
3700 years ago
After learning about all the amazing
achievements that existed in the past, Chrome is in anguish over all the loss,
but Senkuu says that he has all of humanity’s knowledge in his brain (an
exaggeration, of course) and that they can bring back society together.
The chapter ends as Chrome vows to
build Senkuu’s kingdom of science and defeat Ruri’s illness.
We Can’t Study 22
Yuiga’s thinking he hasn’t had as
much time for his own studying. But before he can think of making time, he sees
a cat stuck in a tree.
Kirisu sensei sees him climbing the
tree and the cat jumps out. She dives to catch it, Yuiga impressed at her
grace. But she trips, twisting her ankle, which means Yuiga has to shoulder her
to her apartment, which she begrudgingly accepts.
As he moves to leave, Yuiga hears a
crash from Kirisu’s apartment, opening the door to see if she’s okay. Turns
out, her room is quite messy and he has to pull her out of a pile of books.
She goes to change, Yuiga still
nervous about this intimacy. Kirisu comes back in her high school jersey that
he saw her in before a few chapters ago.
Yuiga comments on how different her
public and private clothes are, Kirisu saying she won’t try to hide it from
him, though he thinks that could be interpreted oddly outside of context
Kirisu tells Yuiga to take it out,
which is initially misinterprets, though she quickly reveals it was simply his
textbook so they can study. The time passes by quickly, Yuiga impressed at how
well she teaches and how engrossed he is.
Yuiga accidentally brushes his hand
over a bra, Kirisu quickly hiding it as Yuiga asks her to let him clean.
He stumbles on a display case with
awards and a picture that appears to be Kirisu sensei in the past as a figure
skater.
But Kirisu tells him that the
general longevity of a figure skater is quite short and she feels that she
wasted her time, though she tries to pass it off as someone she knew rather
than herself. She asks him if he still agrees with the idea of not encouraging
a student in their talents and following their emotions instead.
Yuiga responds that even if there
was failure and regret, he’d gladly support people who wanted to improve
themselves even if it was more difficult. He acknowledges that Kirisu supports
talent, but Yuiga supports those who are seen as lost causes, like two parallel
lines.
He thanks her for the study session,
Kirisu thanking him for cleaning. Yuiga brings up the awkwardness of being a
male let into her room, though Kirisu dismisses him, thinking he’s trying to
flirt with her or such.
As Yuiga leaves, Kirisu again
worries about her façade being broken and showing vulnerability in front of a
student as the chapter ends.
Black Clover 117
People are impressed at Kirsch’s
magic, able to confuse the enemies, create clones and even make a path to the
enemy’s crystal for Sol and Magna (which I was confused about before, thinking
it was a path to their crystal, but the point was to destroy the opposing
team’s crystal).
The sheer magic power he has is
considered a product of his Vermillion blood, Asta amazed at it, though Kirsch
still regards him as filth. He also says that Asta can’t hope to beat him with
his weak container of magic, but Asta uses a metaphor regarding old containers
that Sister Lily gave him, saying that they’ll last longer because of the
feelings behind them, though it doesn’t quite register to Kirsch
Before the next match starts, we see
Finral’s team discuss strategy, Leopold and Jamon disagreeing at first about
how to fight, but the Spatial Magic user saying that they need to use his
abilities to increase their mobility, Finral’s experience with the Black Bulls
making him stronger.
Leopold and Jamon are impressed at
how skilled Finral is, able to direct them with his magic to the best locations
so they can unleash their own attacks with full force, easily winning their
match
The others are impressed that the
Black Bulls have this much power, Finral’s brother Langris noting how he’s
changed from his cowardly self.
Sekke’s group, which also has
Langris, has their match next, Sekke unsure of how well he can fight as a lower
ranked knight, though Fragil, one of his teammates, says that rank doesn’t mean
anything with the Black Bulls’ showing of talent
The opposing team has their strategy
ready, enhancing the crystal with defensive magic and having traps set up, but
Sekke, using his Bronze Magic to make the team more mobile, allows Langris to
blast through the defense with his advanced Spatial Magic in one wave of his
hand
The chapter concludes as Finral and
Langris square off, Langris warning his brother not to take him lightly, even
warning him to not disappoint someone from his past, while Finral says he’ll
win to make sure such a thing doesn’t happen
Boku no Hero Academia 145
Kirishima thinks that he’s not even
really a man, let alone a Hero, thinking that someone like Ashido has more of a
manly spirit, willing to put their life on the life when things are dangerous.
He also remembers that when his Quirk first manifest, he cut his eye and cried
about how he didn’t like his Quirk. Kirishima wonders if his admiration for
Crimson Riot was connected to them having a similar Quirk
He throws a book at his bookcase,
knocking a hologram projector that shows an interview with Crimson Riot. His
tendency to be reckless makes people wonder if he doesn’t have any fear, which
the interviewer inquires about.
Crimson Riot responds he’s afraid
all the time, but he pushes past it. When he was a sidekick he hesitated before
and failed to save people, but that experience made him more determined than
ever to rush into the fray and save people, because that’s what a Hero does.
It’s not even a gender thing, in spite of him saying “manly spirit”, but just a
tendency in any person to stake their life and protect citizens, to live
without regrets.
Kirishima is then inspired to say he
will join Yuuei, training hard along with Ashido after he apologizes to his
classmates about not saving them before, though they say it’s normal to be
afraid.
We see him accepted and enter Yuuei,
Ashido surprised at Kirishima’s new hairstyle, comparing it to horns. Kirishima
tells her he intends to say goodbye to his old self, but Ashido thinks he’s
still focused on the past and needs to move on and truly become a new person.
Kirishima’s worst fear wasn’t dying
in battle or the like, but reverting back to the coward he used to be.
The chapter ends as Fatgum tells
Tengai and Rappa that they underestimated Red Riot, much like he did at first,
but that their combined manly power will defeat them, the punch seemingly
blasting through Tengai’s barrier.
Magi 355
Sinbad reiterates how he and David
see the same destiny, David even noting that a singularity such as Sinbad
cannot fight destiny, in spite of how much he may hesitate with the argument
Alibaba gave him of forging an alliance with the other dimensions.
Ugo is shocked as Sinbad tells him
to convey to Aladdin and the others that he cannot keep his promise, the two
gods facing off to see who will become the god of this universe.
David thinks to himself that even if
this battle goes on forever, eventually the world will be returned to the Rukh
and then he will surpass his present form
Ugo moves to do something, not
wanting to just be passive and wait.
Meanwhile, Alibaba and Aladdin are
still fighting off the angels, observing that they’re coming from the Great
Rift, Aladdin deducing that David’s real body must be there and they have to
defeat him.
But as they move to stop the angels,
Heliohapt’s forces, led by Sharrkan, appear to stop them. He hesitates slightly
at fighting not only his student, but someone who shares a similar background
of being born into royalty, exiled and yet still wanting to protect their
country.
Sharrkan wonders why Alibaba is
fighting him, thinking there might be something more important than returning
to the Rukh.
Aladdin says that they can’t bring
themselves fully to fight against people important to them, but Sharrkan insists
he will do anything to protect his country.
The chapter ends as Sharrkan still
wavers as to whether he is willing to do anything for his country or if the
country is more important than returning to the Rukh, but Alibaba tells his
master that everything is okay.
One Piece 872
We flashback to King Neptune
learning that the Tamatebako will explode and that it was given to Big Mom by
Luffy, hoping it won’t blow up.
In the present, the collapse of
Whole Cake Chateau is causing panic both inside and outside, even the people
nearby running as the building threatens to fall
Luffy’s group moves to escape,
taking the opportunity provided by the confusion from the explosion and
imminent destruction of the tower
Inside Bege, Nami and the others
observe how Whole Cake Tower is swaying.
Outside, Bege and Caesar think this
might be the best situation, since they won’t even have to directly attack
them, that Big Mom and the others will die from the fall.
They flee, the people despairing at
the tower about to fall on them. But suddenly Streusen uses his Devil Fruit to
turn the entire tower into various ingredients, protecting people from the
injury and death that would’ve occurred.
Big Mom is disappointed in spite of
everyone surviving, since Streusen’s Devil Fruit doesn’t make ingredients that
are especially tasty even if they make you full.
Mont D’or says they need to find the
Straw Hat and Fire Tank Pirates, thinking they can’t be too far away
Bege lets everyone out, saying this
is where they split up. Caesar demands some recognition, though Nami still
points out how horrible he was in the past to the kids at Punk Hazard. The Gas
Man is elated as Bege hands him his heart, happy to be free of that bondage
After Vito sees that everyone at
Whole Cake Tower is alive, Bege notes it must’ve been Streusen and his power.
The two groups split, Bege even
putting up a sign to point to where the Straw Hats are escaping as he runs away
with Castle Tank
The Straw Hats split up slightly,
intending to meet up back at the Sunny.
As Big Mom’s crew moves to split up
and get Bege and the Straw Hats, the chapter ends as Big Mom is showing signs
that she’s going to have another fit of hunger for food, only stopping when
she’s sated, meaning Luffy and Bege may get away by virtue of Big Mom’s rampage
occupying everyone’s attention.
Seven Deadly Sins 225
We see Peliodas, a character
connected to Gowther from much earlier in the series, brazenly claim to his
father that instead of offering travelers as sacrifices to the Demons, that
he’ll defeat them. One of the Demons hears this, others appearing as the
villagers despair at the situation, thinking they’ll be devoured along with him
Peliodas is grabbed by the Demon, but
the boy isn’t afraid in spite of being beaten by him already, saying he’ll take
them all out once he becomes a Holy Knight.
Suddenly, Gowther intervenes,
manipulating the one Demon that was threatening Peliodas to punch himself in
the face, while King takes out another bigger one with Chastiefol’s power.
Meliodas tells Merlin that even
though this was out of the way, he wanted to respect Gowther’s wishes and it
reflects well on them as Holy Knights to save the people.
The people are impressed at this,
Peliodas convinced now that Gowther didn’t lie to him out of hate, but to
protect him, using his alias as Armando before he was called back by Meliodas
and the others.
Meanwhile, we see Ban face off
against the demon who punched himself in the face, moving to attack the Sin of
Greed, but he’s easily beaten away as Ban thinks to himself that he was too
hasty in lashing out at Meliodas, as if he didn’t know the suffering of seeing
the woman he loved die before him, when his friend has seen Elizabeth die many
more times.
Ban destroys the Demon, thinking
that his injuries are such that he’d love to die, but can’t because of his own
immortality. He also wonders what he should do as Elaine thinks to herself that
Ban is a fool, likely because of how he’d be willing to sacrifice his own
happiness for her life.
Gowther asks Peliodas a question in
regards to what he would do if his friends were in danger and only he could
save them, Peliodas saying it’s obvious, though Gowther is still confused.
Diane and Escanor both blame
themselves for Elizabeth being in the state she is, but Hawk says they should
focus on Meliodas suffering as he is and hope there’s a way to save Elizabeth.
The group arrives at Corand, but we
see that Zeldris is protecting the dimensional distortion’s source, Meliodas
moving to attack as the chapter ends
Fairy Tail 543
Gray tells everyone that all hope isn’t lost, he,
Leon and Juvia moving to make a boat with their magic, while the others focus
on drawing Acnologia’s attention.
The others prepare to join hands and gather their
magic for Fairy Sphere and Lucy heads there. Freed and Levy move to make a
massive magic circle of their own for protecting the others, while Lucy heads
to Hargeon.
She remembers that this was where she first met
Natsu and where their journey will start again.
Natsu still stands against Acnologia, who says his
mission is not finished until he eliminates all Dragons. But this makes the
Flame Dragon Slayer laugh, pointing out that Acnologia himself is a Dragon.
He says that the Dragon Slayers are still ultimately
humans, the Dragons that trained them kind and noble. But Acnologia retorts
that the Dragons he’s encountered were evil, sparing not even children as he
unleashes more power to finish off his opponents.
But Natsu is given the powers of the other Dragon
Slayers by Wendy’s enchantment and becomes the Seven Flame Dragon as he moves
to conclude this battle once and for all
Outside, Fairy Tail is making the final preparations
to mobilize Fairy Sphere, while Gray, Leon and Juvia have completed the boat.
Erza and Mira are continuing to press against Acnologia, knocking him onto the
boat.
The chapter ends as we see Lucy moving to activate
Fairy Sphere, connecting everyone’s thoughts as Natsu readies his attack
