I mis-remembered the date: we won’t
get Seven Deadly Sins until at least next week
And Fairy Tail also seems to be
delayed, so we’ll be back to semi regular schedule soon
Black Clover 93
Asta and Mars rush at Fana, but are
slowly getting burned by her fire magic the closer they get. Mars manages to
heal them so they can persist in taking her down.
Both Asta and Mars are impressed at
each other; Mars for Asta’s resilience, thinking he’s the epitome of a knight
with his dedication to helping anyone, friend or foe and Asta for Mars’ strong
devotion to his friend
Noelle, Finral and Vanessa are
staying behind, wanting to see this to the end even if they can’t directly help
Asta.
As Asta is nearing the range to
attack Fana, she prepares to finish him off, but the antimagic sword hits its
mark and destroys Fana’s spell.
Fana persists in her rage, but Mars
rushes forward and hugs her, saying that he feels terrible for not being there
when she was suffering or being able to fight for her.
He tells her that they need to see
the world together like they promised.
Suddenly, Fana’s magic changes and
her third eye slowly fades away as she recognizes him and agrees, the chapter
ending as Mars cries with happiness that his friend has returned to him.
Boku no Hero Academia 122
The assembly finishes with a bizarre
speech from Hound Dog, a Hero who seems very barbaric and feral in nature. Vlad
manages to translate his ramblings, which are commenting on the behavior of
Bakugou and Deku, telling the other students to behave themselves better.
As the third years return back
first, one of them seems to be interested in Deku and Bakugou.
Aizawa starts class the next day,
saying that they need to focus in spite of the difficulties they’ve had, things
only getting harder from here.
Asui inquires about the Hero
internships Nedzu mentioned in the opening ceremony, Aizawa explaining that
they’re more hands on versions of the Hero shadowing they did a while back.
Uraraka and Iida are confused as to
why this is done when the Sports Festival was supposed to be a way for them to
get scoured by Hero agencies.
Aizawa says that if they don’t get
those connections, it’ll be more difficult to do the Hero internships to begin
with. It used to be that the agencies all did recruiting individually, but it
created too much chaos, so they simplified it to the Sports Festival as a way
for students to stand out and get recognition.
He moves on from homeroom, leaving
it to Present Mic for English class in first period.
Later, Deku and Bakugou hear
about class from the others, particularly their speculations about how to get
internships, such as going back to where they did their Hero shadowing.
Deku feels frustrated at being out
of the loop, Iida not even allowed to tell him anything as part of the punishment.
As Deku goes to take out the trash,
a face comes out of the wall, shocking him as it tells him that he should be
careful and that they’ll meet again soon.
The chapter ends as Deku returns
back from house arrest, 1 day before Bakugou, and Aizawa introduces three
students who are involved in the internships, one of them the person who showed
up before Deku, part of what are called the Big Three, the top students in
their class at Yuuei
Magi 332 + 333
Morgiana is confused at Alibaba’s
anger at her, but Alibaba insists that the woman he loved wouldn’t want to just
die like this.
He further insists that his dream is
not to focus on the future, but the present and live with Morgiana as a couple.
Morgiana wishes to aid him, but
hesitates because of her Rukh being manipulated. Alibaba explains the
situation, his fiancée enraged at the proverbial chains that bind her,
reminding the Fanalis of her enslavement before.
Alibaba tells Aladdin his resolve,
Aladdin saying that’s what he wanted to hear. But his King reminds him that
he’s part of this as well and not to just shift the responsibility back onto
him.
Aladdin realizes that Alibaba never
saw him as someone superior or special because of him being a Magi, but just
recognized him as a person, as he does with everyone else. This shows Aladdin
that he made the choice of the best King in Alibaba.
Afterwards, Aladdin explains that
their goal should be to destroy the Sacred Palace, since that’s what’s
ultimately causing the issues they face now.
And destroying the Sacred Palace
will allow them to get around the problem of Black and White Rukh, since there
wouldn’t be anyone to control the Rukh afterwards and things would be more like
the Dark Continent, separate from such people’s influence
Aladdin wonders if they really
should do something like this, Alibaba saying that they must, even if the other
people don’t wish to return to their original state apart from Sinbad’s
machinations.
But the chapter concludes as we see
Hakuryuu and Judal, also unaffected by Sinbad’s manipulating the Rukh because
of their falling into depravity.
The next chapter begins with
Alibaba, Aladdin, Judal and Hakuryuu getting the Metal Vessels back.
Their plans involve Aladdin using
Solomon’s Wisdom to open a gate to the Sacred Palace
There’s a risk that someone could
close it off and they’d be trapped, but Aladdin utilizes the technique his
mother, Sheba, developed that expands the coverage of the Borg to an immense
level, manifesting as 8 serpent heads.
The group starts to debate who
should stay behind to continue and flow magoi into the gate and keep it open,
but they decide they should find a 5th member to aid them.
Judal and Hakuryuu first consider
Hakuei, whose Rukh was rewritten by Hakuryuu’s alchemical magic, but she’s
still in a comatose state.
The chapter ends as Alibaba wonders
who the 5th person is and we see that it is Nerva, one of Reim’s Metal Vessel
users, noted to be a bit of a spoiled rich person.
One Piece 852
Reiju is recovering, waking up to
Sanji, who explains about her memories being altered by Pudding.
Meanwhile, Jinbe has freed Luffy and
the others in Mont D’or’s books by burning them, Luffy remembering when he and
Jinbe met at Impel Down.
Jinbe explains that his Sun Pirates
were under Big Mom and that now he’s rebelled against her. He says they should
head somewhere to hide, but Luffy says he needs to go to Sanji, since he’s
found out about Pudding’s deception, leaving them behind in spite of his hunger
and injuries.
Reiju believes Sanji, but her
brother thinks things are even more hopeless than before, his plan to sacrifice
himself pointless with Big Mom’s plan to kill the Germa 66.
She thinks that the Germa 66 should
be killed off, willing to sacrifice herself for the sake of her brother.
Reiju remembers her mother and
father fighting before Sanji and his brothers were born, Judge only focused on
giving his children the power to wage wars, while her mother wanted them to
retain their humanity.
In order to try and stop Judge’s
ambitions, she took a drug that nearly killed her. Yonji, Niji and Ichiji all
manifested their powers, but Sanji, seemingly affected by the medicine’s
ability to counter the lineage factor manipulation, maintained his human emotions
and was weak in Judge’s eyes.
She slowly began to die from the
drug’s aftereffects, but she was happy beyond belief that one of her sons had
become such a kind person. Judge regarded Sanji as a failure, but Reiju
insists that Sanji is the opposite, a true manifestation of his mother’s
kindness.
Smoothie is told about Jinbe’s
rebellion, trying to settle things without letting Big Mom know, since she
could become irrational and dangerous if she found out.
Reiju tells Sanji that he needs to
leave her behind, the bracelets actually a fake and not a threat to him now.
She’s unable to disobey her father because of the surgery still affecting her
mind in some manner, the chapter ending as she says that Sanji has met truly
great people, who will enrich his life more than his blood family ever could.
