Black Clover 57
The Black Bulls, on their mission
from the Wizard King, have entered the special mana area, which has a
consistent tropical climate, perfect for beach tourism and the like.
Everyone’s having fun in their own
way, Gauche even showing Marie the beach and getting frustrated that she’s
still focused on Asta, while Charmy does watermelon splitting, hitting Asta on
the head.
Noelle is conflicted about her
feelings for Asta, wanting to show off her new swimsuit, but Asta doesn’t seem
to care, wanting to train instead
She hits Magna with her water magic,
still not able to fully control it.
We see Sekke from the early part of
the series, who has a sort of rivalry with Asta, getting caught up in the Black
Bulls’ rampage after his friends fail at trying to impress Noelle and Vanessa.
Yami arrives, explaining how the
Underwater Temple is surrounded by dangerous currents, which only abate at the
full moon in a week. So he tasks Noelle with training herself so she can use
her water magic to protect the group when they enter, since it’s still
underwater.
We see Noelle training later, still
not having much luck. Asta arrives, the two deciding they might want to train
together, since his anti magic blade can keep her in check if she goes berserk
again.
The chapter ends as the two spot
someone singing in the distance, a mysterious presence at night.
Boku no Hero Academia 86
The press conference continues,
reporters asking why Eraserhead pushed the students to fight, Aizawa responding
that it was to avoid a worse outcome, such as the students being killed
outright helplessly.
Nedzu emphasizes that most of the
injuries were from the Villain with the gas Quirk.
If anything, the worst possible
outcome is being attacked again, since they’ll be more prepared now with the
surprise attack over.
But the reporters still insist that
Bakugou being kidnapped is a risk they can’t underestimate, since they’ve
observed his instability and think the Villains could exploit that for evil purposes
Aizawa apologizes for his actions,
but insists that Bakugou has the resolve to be a Hero, any expectation of him
being swayed by the Villains foolishness on those who think such.
The press wonders if they have a
basis for this, Nedzu responding that they’re conducting an investigation with
the police now.
Bakugou sees how important he is to
the Villain alliance, thinking they won’t kill him, wanting to defeat a few of
them and escape if possible.
The Villains think he’s still being
reckless. Shigaraki reaches for his hand, Black Mist worried about what he
might do.
He replaces the hand on his face,
talking to Bakugou again. Shigaraki notes that he thought Bakugou might listen
to reason, but knowing that they’re searching for him means he’s going with a
more intense method, calling out to All For One to give his assistance.
Deku’s group arrives at the location
where Momo’s tracker lead them, wondering if Bakugou’s even here, assuming the
Villains are. Deku thinks about their strategies, Iida saying he’ll still stick
to his principles and keep them out of danger if things come up to ruin the
stealth mission.
Meanwhile, we see that there are
multiple groups of pro Heroes, brought together by the police, since Yuuei is
busy with the press conference and such.
The plan is to find where Bakugou is
and prioritize rescuing him with their strongest squad, but also find the other
locations and cut off possibility of retreat.
Tsukauchi thinks that with Nedzu
throwing the Villains off their game in bringing up an investigation, they
won’t expect them to attack so soon, the chapter ending as they mobilize to
start their mission in earnest.
Seven Deadly Sins 170
Gowther is interested in this
development, since Escanor would normally need the actual sun to power him up,
while this image in his mind can create a similar effect.
Hawk even observes how Escanor’s
Power Level is over 28000, Gloxinia and Dolor realizing that means he exceeds
Galan at his base.
Gowther theorizes that the
transformation will only last a few seconds at best, but Escanor notes he’ll
only need a few to beat the Sin of Lust.
He snatches Gowther’s glasses,
Gowther blindly firing his Jack bullets around.
Escanor leaps into the air, calling
back his Divine Axe Rhitta, which flies towards him at rapid speed.
The Sin of Pride then unleashes the
Holy Treasure, creating a giant burst of light, like a sun almost.
We get an explanation of Escanor’s
power, noting that it’s part of his genetic makeup that he gets stronger with
the sun’s presence, peaking at noon. His Sacred Treasure helps with his power,
absorbing the heat energy he emits and storing it for an attack.
The two Sins square off, Escanor
ready to finish off Gowther, the Sin of Lust readying his Black Out Arrow.
The clash creates a burst of power
that is blinding, pushing people back.
We see that Gowther has won in spite
of Escanor’s power, the Sin of Pride unconscious, meaning Gowther is the victor
in this match.
But the chapter ends as we see that
Escanor’s attack wasn’t directed at Gowther, but Gloxinia and Dolor, the two
Commandments seriously injured after taking it, the match Escanor’s loss, but
his win in a way as well.
World Trigger 139
We resume the battle, Katori on the
defensive against Tamakoma-2’s tactics. Izumi comments that Spider works
especially well for Kuga, since he’s smaller, so he’s more mobile on them.
Kakizaki squad observes the
situation, their captain deciding to attack the squad on the defensive, since
they don’t know much about Tamakoma-2’s new tactics
Tamakoma-2 holds back, not willing
to fight in an area where they don’t have the advantage.
Kakizaki is shown to have the
advantage in firepower, especially since Miura of Katori squad lost an arm and
using a heavier weapon like Kogetsu imbalances his body.
Katori is told to retreat after
their captain nearly runs headlong into the assault. The area seems to be
disadvantageous, but as Kakizaki follows them, we see that Tamakoma-2 is
attacking from behind, keeping the two in a pincer like formation, Kakizaki
motioning for them to retreat.
Katori unit expected Tamakoma-2 to
be aggressive in getting points, so they took that into account when pulling
Kakizaki into a position where they could escape or possibly get points in
another manner.
The 3 squads pull away from each
other, not wanting to needlessly engage in a fight.
Osamu asks Kuga about what he thinks
of the wires, the Neighbor saying they’re great for mobility, though they
affect his accuracy against moving targets.
The Captain decides he’ll use more Spider wires.
Meanwhile, Katori squad is still
bickering, since their captain acting independently and is taking her teammates
for granted.
Kakizaki and Katori both think they
need to ignore Tamakoma, getting to areas without the wires so they can draw
them out in a place where they don’t have the advantage, focusing on the
remaining squad to thin their numbers.
As the two squads move, the chapter
ends on Chika firing Ibis into the area, destroying a mass of buildings, likely
trying to even the playing field for them, but also potentially drawing the
squads to her, since she’s still a threat from a distance.
Magi 301
Alibaba moves on to Parthevia, his
party shocked at the incredible size of the buildings and advanced nature of
them compared to Reim
If they can achieve trade with
Parthevia, the Kou Empire’s economy can improve, since they’ll be trading with
the central city in the world.
Sinbad has already heard of
Alibaba’s progress thanks to the communication devices spreading the knowledge
quickly.
Since Alibaba doesn’t know the
people in charge of Parthevia’s affairs, he asks Sinbad, who knows the emperor.
Alibaba remembers that Parthevia is
where Sinbad was born, recalling the great prose in his autobiography,
exaggerated as it was.
The emperor, owing his rise to power
to Sinbad, agrees to the decision, though the parliament will still have to
debate it, the final choice being finalized in 2 weeks. In the meantime,
Alibaba goes to Sasan and Artemyra to negotiate as well.
After returning, Alibaba sees how
the magic communication devices have advanced so much, increased in size and
able to convey information to the people in the central areas of the city.
People are shown scenes from Alibaba
talking with the emperor as well as Artemyra and Sasan’s rulers, people
recognizing his face from the images they see in the magical devices.
Back in the Kou Empire, Alibaba is
welcomed by everyone, encouraged by his many successes, just waiting for
Parthevia’s reply. Alibaba says this is all thanks to Kougyoku’s encouragement
of the citizens.
But 2 weeks pass and no reply comes.
They continue to wait, a letter eventually coming. The chapter ends on the
group’s shock at what the letter says, though we’re not told what it is. Seems
likely that Parthevia rejected the offer in spite of the emperor’s confidence
in things progressing towards trade.
Bleach 670
We see Gerard fall onto Wahrwelt
after Kenpachi slashed him in half. Byakuya and Toushirou are hesitant to get
near the Soul Reaper, thinking he’s become like a berserker.
Kenpachi jumps back and screams,
Gerard regenerating his body behind the other 2 Soul Reapers with a mysterious
pentacle possibly serving as a source for his regeneration.
A flash of light results as we see
the Quincy pentacle again and Gerard’s Vollstandig form appears, in more armor
than before.
He blasts a beam from his sword,
Toushirou narrowly avoiding it as Gerard follows up with another.
Gerard reveals he is God’s Divine
Authority, the most noble of Juhabach’s servants.
As he bears down on Kenpachi, the
berserk Soul Reaper moves to attack, but his arm splits off slightly, Yachiru
revealing that she didn’t control his power output well enough, so his body
can’t handle it, especially since he’s not 100% recovered
Gerard smashes Kenpachi with his
sword, the Soul Reaper out of the battle for now,.
Toushirou moves to fight, Byakuya
keeping him out of harm’s way when Gerard attacks him.
The Kuchiki clan leader tells
Toushirou to release his Bankai, but the genius Soul Reaper notes that he never
said his Bankai would disappear when the last ice petal fades.
In reality, we see that when this
happens, Daiguren Hyourinmaru is at full maturity, the chapter ending on a more
adult appearance for Toushirou.
One Piece 823
Vivi’s ship departs Alabasta, Hina
of the Marines aboard the ship as a bodyguard for the royal family.
Igaram is still worried about her
safety, but Pell says she has experience as a pirate, being silenced by Igaram,
since there’s a Marine on the ship.
Chaka is concerned about the king’s
health, but Cobra says he wants to attend Reverie, if only to ask the World
Government about the Poneglyphs, since meeting Robin made him curious about
their significance.
Vivi approaches him, Cobra still
wanting her to get married, but his daughter dismissing him, even accusing her
father of using his illness to manipulate her to a hasty engagement.
We shift to Loguetown, where royalty
from the Goa Kingdom, where Sabo came from, are staying at a hotel, unimpressed
by it and very arrogant in their status as elite.
The import of Reverie is emphasized,
over 50 countries and their rulers, ranging from Kano Kingdom and Wano to
Dressrosa and Prodence. Riku and Elizabello are going together, not feeling the
need for an escort ship.
Shirahoshi of Ryuugu Kingdom is
still hesitant, but her brother Fukaboshi notes how she should do this for the
sake of her departed mother, since she wanted peace between the countries more
than anyone.
Back with Luffy’s group, they’re
still recovering after their free fall from Zou, only Luffy enthusiastic. We’re
shown that Carrot has sneaked on board at some point as well to the shock of Pedro
and the others.
She insists she won’t be a burden,
Luffy saying she can go along. Carrot attacks him for eating her carrot,
seemingly putting him in danger, only placated by being patted on the head.
Nami goes to prepare food, Pedro
getting a newspaper from a flying bird.
The chapter concludes as we see that
the Revolutionary Army’s headquarters is under attack, from Blackbeard if we
recall from earlier in the arc, specifically found by Jesus Burgess.
Toriko 367
Jirou manages to survive NEO’s
attack thanks to the LIFE Ball he stole from one of the Blue Nitro.
He attacks Acacia with Million
Knocking, freezing him in place.
Jirou deduced that he could be in
danger with these battles, so he took one of the LIFE orbs before, which was
the right call in taking the damage NEO did to him.
The Second Wolf demands that Acacia
tell him if his feelings and concern for them were real or just a façade to
seek more ingredients and power.
The last Blue Nitro wants to use the
Golden Can on Jirou, but he doesn’t want Acacia to see it.
Acacia notes how foolish Jirou
always has been since he was a child, using tongues from his mouth that Jirou intentionally
didn’t seal with Million Knocking, to undo the restraint of his body.
Jirou moves to use Grand Knocking,
but NEO takes the damage from his strike.
Acacia then releases the Damage
Knocking, which only froze the damage in his body, not negating it.
With all that power released again,
Jirou’s body is twisted and contorted.
Acacia mourns how he had to punish
his 2nd son again, telling Jirou that the tears were fake before he dies.
Jirou, in his last words, begs
Acacia not to tell Midora that because he still believes him wholeheartedly,
twisted apart and killed with a howl.
Midora and Joa’s area is the only
one that cannot hear it, since there is a Back Channel over it.
Joa compliments Midora’s power, but
says that he can still defeat Acacia’s Tiger with food preparation, changing
his form to resemble Froese more, the chapter ending on this twist.
Fairy Tail 481
Neinhart explains how his Historia magic brings forth
emotions in individual mage’s hearts to life.
Kagura rushes at the phantom of her brother, Jellal warning
her it’s an illusion. But Neinhart further notes that these are not mere
phantasms, actually able to use the magic they had, as we saw before with
Simon’s Shadow Magic.
He blasts them through the ship to the sea floor as Erza is
approached by Ikaruga, a mage she fought back in the Tower of Paradise arc.
Kagura frees herself, but hesitates as to whether she should
save Jellal, since she blames him for the death of her brother.
Meanwhile, Erza is pushed back by Ikaruga, weakened by her
past injuries. Azuma, another opponent she fought at Tenrou Island, from
Grimoire Heart appears, making the battle even more difficult.
Neinhart is impressed at her past, summoning Kyouka as well,
noting how his ability is able to revisit battles from ones’ memories, called
Historia of Corpses.
The Spriggan continues to expand his power, summoning
warriors from past battles to other people across the battlefield, Gray seeing
his master Ur, Juvia meeting Keith of Tartaros and many others, like Precht of Grimoire Heart
Keith is impressed, since this isn’t like his necromancy,
since it doesn’t use dead bodies, but the mere memories of the dead.
Neinhart wants Erza to show him a great battle with all
these people that normally never met in life.
Kagura has brought Jellal back to the surface, the chapter
ending as she gives him mouth to mouth, apparently willing to help him live in
spite of her conflicting feelings of revenge.
