Black Clover 58

Asta and Noelle meet the mysterious singer, speculated to be from Raquey (the beach region), possibly a noble area. She introduces herself as Kahono and explains that she wants to be a magic idol, something more common in the inner realms, rather than where Asta’s from.

Kahono heals Asta with Song Recovery Magic, Noelle impressed at her precision.

The 3 find out they’re all the same age and Kahono wants to be friends. She also offers some advice to Noelle regarding her training. Her solution is to find a relaxing memory and release your mana with that in mind.

But Noelle can’t think of anything, especially not with her family, who all resent her, either for being weak or even accusing her of killing their mother, who died after giving birth to her.

Noelle’s training isn’t going well, but Asta says she should just let her magic release all at once, promising to keep her in check with his anti magic blade.

As she unleashes the massive water sphere, it still can’t be fully controlled, Noelle wanting to give up.

But suddenly, all the other Black Bulls come and encourage her in their own ways, some harsher than others, like Gauche who threatens to kick her into the air until she can get the magic right.

She realizes she does have kind memories, thinking especially of Asta. With this mission in mind, she manages to perfect Sea Dragon’s Cradle.

Noelle falls out as she loses concentration slightly, being caught by Asta.

The chapter ends as they prepare to head out, Kahono saying she’ll meet them there as she disappears into the night.

Boku no Hero Academia 87

Deku’s group is observing the area around the building, noting that the lights are off and they’re trying to make it seem inconspicuous by letting weeds grow around it and such.

They’re approached by some thugs and then decide to go around the back of the building to investigate further.

After finding a window where they can look around, Kirishima reveals he brought a night vision scope. He and Deku stand on Todoroki and Iida’s shoulders, seeing an area in the room where there are multiple Noumus being made.

We shift back to Bakugou and Shigaraki’s conflict, Black Mist and Compress ordered to knock the young Hero out.

Suddenly All Might bursts in, Kamui Woods and Gran Torino offering support, binding the Villains and keeping them in check.

They realize that the conference was a way to keep them off guard, Edge Shot commenting that their defenses aren’t as good as their offenses.

He explains that they have the police and Endeavor outside to watch the perimeter, the #2 Hero complaining that All Might gets to spearhead while he’s just the lookout with his bigger range of effect.

Shigaraki tells Black Mist to bring the others out, but he tells his leader that the Noumus they had prepared are gone.

We discover that there was a second squad going after the warehouse where Deku’s group is, taking out the building and recovering the Noumus there, including Mount Lady, Tiger and Best Jeanist.

The chapter ends as All Might emphasizes to Shigaraki how much he underestimated the pro Heroes and their resolve.

Seven Deadly Sins 171

We see Dolor and Gloxinia still reeling from Escanor’s attack, not prepared for him directing it against them. The others are shocked at the power or Escanor’s courage to attack the Ten Commandments directly.

As Ban moves to ask Meliodas what to do, we see the Sin of Wrath has rushed to where Dolor is, saying they need to start the real festival.

Dolor clashes with Meliodas, but is stunned as the half demon knight’s newfound power pushes his attacks back and is smashed in the face.

Meliodas then unsheathes Lostvayne, slashing 2 of Dolor’s 4 arms off.

The giant is impressed, Meliodas noting that he was just waiting for an opening to finish them both off.

Everyone else is confused as this revelation, Meliodas explaining that he needed to have a point where the Ten Commandments were weakened or unfocused, since fighting them head on would have meant certain defeat. And Escanor offered such an opportunity with his attack, which he couldn’t tell others about, since Dolor has an eye that can see through such laid out plans.

But Dolor says he forgot something essential, using his Creation power to trap the others in the giant stone hands he made before.

Meliodas ignores his threat, slashing off his other arms and punching him back again.

Gloxinia has recovered, utilizing the Spirit Spear Basquias’ 5th form, Yggdra Armor.

However, Meliodas’ power is great enough to break the armor, the chapter ending as his demonic powers are beginning to awaken as he tells the Ten Commandments to give up while they still can.

World Trigger 140

Chika continues firing her cannon to draw out Kakizaki and Katori squads, since scoring points with only the radar would be too difficult for Chika, even if she could shoot people.

In spite of them knowing Chika’s position, the only way to get to her is through Tamakoma-2’s wire areas, meaning that they have the advantage, especially with utilizing their Sniper’s capabilities to their fullest

Katori squad’s Operator says they should ally with Kakizaki and use their numbers to pressure Tamakoma-2 to split up their forces to protect Chika from a targeted assault

Katori has to move first, since they’ll be the target of Kuga’s attacks, while Kakizaki draws out Osamu and takes him out so they can focus their numbers on Kuga and then finish off Chika.

Both squads activate Bagworm and head towards Tamakoma-2’s area, Kakizaki meeting up with Kuga and Katori with Osamu.

In spite of being 3v1, with Chika as a possible support for Osamu and Yuma, Katori and Kakizaki are still at a disadvantage with the wires disrupting their movements.

Izumi thinks they might be better off sending a member each to take out Chika, but that’d split their forces

Kitora squad pushes forward through Osamu’s wire, Tamakoma-2’s leader preparing more Spider wires, encouraged by Kitora’s words that he can still contribute in a way even if he’s defeated early with the wires for his teammates to use to their advantage.

The chapter ends as Yuma prepares to take out Kakizaki squad, already taking out the captain’s arm.

Magi 302

As predicted, the Parthevia Empire in fact did refuse the Kou Empire’s trading outlet to Alibaba’s shock.

They contact the members of the Seven Sea Alliance and are even more surprised that they have changed their perspective, rejecting their trading rights and teleportation circles being in their kingdoms.

Sharrkan explains that, along with the other countries, there is a concern that the teleportation circles could be used to invade the countries unawares. The mere fear is enough to justify them delaying such economic actions as starting trade with the Kou Empire, not to mention their previous track record.

The sheer fear of the Kou Empire motivates many countries, especially those like Balbadd who were once conquered by them in the past, to think they’re conspiring against them again.

Kougyoku is feeling hopeless again after all the work they put into this for the improvement of the Kou Empire, but Alibaba thinks they still have a chance.

He goes to talk with Sinbad, asking him to speak to the rulers of the countries and convince them Kou isn’t re-arming itself for war.

But the president of the International Alliance twists Alibaba’s words, saying he can’t get involved in the affairs of other countries, merely being an intermediary for them all in particular ways. And he further says that since this is a business rivalry, he has no obligation to help the Kou Trading Company, but he might aid the Kou Empire.

The chapter ends on this rivalry that has been built up, the two representatives of these trading companies now in a bitter conflict.

Bleach 671

Hitsugaya explains that when the last ice petal falls, his Bankai fully matures, but he himself is still not mature enough, so his Bankai accounts for it by aging him slightly to compensate.

Gerard is confused at this new state, attacking Toushirou as he acknowledges him as a better opponent with his adult form compared to his more childish state before.

The Miracle throws his shield at Toushirou, the Soul Reaper freezing it in midair. As he tries to attack with Hoffnung, it’s sliced in half and frozen.

He warns Toushirou about the consequences of damaging his blade, but Daiguren Hyourinmaru’s master replies that whatever he freezes, it loses its function, negating the power of the Blade of Hope.

Gerard then manifests his Quincy bow, saying he’ll use this, since it can’t be manipulated in such a way.

Toushirou responds that he concluded that just a bit too slow, activating Shikai Hyouketsu, Freezing the Four Worlds.

It takes him 4 seconds, and with this ability, he can freeze anything, so if Gerard had fired the bow in 3 seconds, he’d have been in trouble.

Suddenly, Gerard releases himself from the ice, grabbing Toushirou and planning to crush him with his hands.

But he falls over, Kenpachi, with his remaining strength, stood up and grabbed one of his feet, disrupting his movement.

Toushirou’s Bankai activates again, freezing the Quincy again.

However, before Gerard can move to crush Toushirou, we see that Byakuya’s Bankai has indeed activated another ability: Ikka Senjinka: One Blade, Thousand Bite Flowers.

The chapter ends as we see hundreds, if not a thousand blades made from Senbonzakkura’s petals clashing into Gerard’s head, seemingly destroying it completely.

One Piece 824

Luffy’s group is in disbelief that the Revolutionary Army’s been beaten. Nami and Brook, not knowing about what happened at Dressrosa in detail, are shocked to learn about Sabo being Luffy’s brother.

And Nami remembers that Garp told them that Dragon is Luffy’s father.

But Luffy seems to have forgotten, not even seeing a resemblance and more focused on Sabo’s safety.

The paper elaborates that the Marines and Cipher Pol arrived too late, Blackbeard briefly clashing before leaving after having already destroyed Baltigo. They presume that since they didn’t report the deaths of Dragon or Sabo that they’re probably safe.

Luffy forgot to turn off the stove, so an explosion occurs, but then a storm starts to move in, the group panicking to get things ready so they can endure it.

Meanwhile, Wanda is told by Bariete about Carrot leaving to journey with Luffy, accepting it since she learned about it so recently rather than worrying herself about it.

We briefly see Jack underwater, his features suggesting he might be a Gyojin/Fishman, meaning in spite of his Devil Fruit he can still breathe underwater.

We shift to an island where Kaidou is drinking, bemoaning the loss of his trading of Smile with Joker/Doflamingo, striking one of his crew when they say they can’t take Luffy lightly.

Kaidou thinks they’re underestimating him, getting cocky after defeating a few Shichibukai.

We see that he’s beaten Eustass Kidd badly and has him imprisoned, Kaidou saying he should’ve warned his fellow Supernovae about trying to play at being pirates.

Back at the Thousand Sunny, Luffy made a terrible curry concoction, wasting their whole supply of food, putting them in danger of starvation.

Sanji’s talking with Baron Tamago on the ship heading to Whole Cake Island. He bickers with him about his refusal to join Big Mom’s crew and regards them as monsters for killing one of their own as Bege tried to do to Pekoms.

The chapter ends as Vito brings a picture of Sanji’s future bride, Charlotte Pudding, quite beautiful, which Sanji has an expected reaction to.

If I know Oda at all, there will be some twist, the major theory being that she’s a three eyed girl we saw when Big Mom was first shown in the past, a brief glimpse, but sharing a similar face.

Toriko 368

We find that the howl from last chapter was not from Jirou (even if it might make some sense), but from Guinness, the Battle Wolf.

Toriko realizes he’s calling to the other 7 Kings.

Brunch and Ootake appear, the Tengu Chef explaining how the Gourmet Eclipse has begun and the rest of the world is slowly cooling down.

Area 2 is the only one warming up, because GOD will be appearing soon, the Heavenly Kings’ Gourmet Demons reacting by forcefully appearing.

The earth is beginning to shake as everyone realizes that GOD will be arriving in this area very soon, the source of the scent they noticed on the apple when they met Chichi before they first entered the Gourmet World as a group.

Back at Midora and Joa’s fight, we see that that 1/10 of a second was all Joa needed to begin cooking Midora, his body being torn apart slowly.

He explains that it’s a fungus he released into the area, able to devour even a Nitro’s body in less than a second.

But Midora’s body is able to recover with the help of his Gourmet Cells (possibly?), his Hungry Space enabling him to eat all the fungus in the area and thus negate any further damage.

He tries to attack Joa, but finds he cannot hit them. Joa chalks it up to the Gourmet Luck (previously rendered as Food Luck) in Frohze’s body, which made it so even the especially dangerous fungus from before wouldn’t target it.

Joa slashes through Midora’s head but again he regenerates.

Suddenly, Midora’s body starts to collapse slightly, Joa explaining it as the fungus fermenting his body from the inside, treating him like an ingredient for him to cook.

But even after being sliced with Satan Minche, Midora survives, activating the Minority World he copied from Ichiryuu and seemingly vaporizing Joa.

After Midora thinks the battle is won, Joa appears behind him, noting that he just needed another 1/10 of a second to seal him after cooking him.

Midora’s body is sealed in a golden can, the effort putting Joa on his knees with the sheer amount of energy put into the action.

But now that GOD is appearing, Joa’s plan is nearly complete, all the major obstacles out of the way.

The chapter concludes as we see some odd black mass with eyes appearing from the ground that’s shattered from the earth shaking before, GOD finally in view of the Four Heavenly Kings.

Fairy Tail 482

Gray and Leon are pushed back by Ur, their master, who claims their magic is still immature compared to hers. The two recognize that she’s not the real Ur, but her power makes Leon hesitate for a bit.

Fairy Tail’s Ice Mage manages to cut Ur’s cheek, saying they will defeat her and save Ur’s true reputation.

Meredy and Juvia are also having difficulties against their past opponents, Wendy and Laxus also being beat down by the powers of Historia of Corpses.

Neinhart thinks that Dimaria and Wahl were pathetic, unable to defeat so many people at once as he has.

Erza is still not able to fight at full power against the 3 opponents she’s had summoned against her. She manages to fight back for a time, but all three of them still prove stronger than her.

She’s bound by Kyouka and Azuma, tortured again by the Tartaros Etherias. The other 2 aren’t as interested, wanting to finish her off with grace or quickly instead of lingering like this.

But in spite of the pain, Erza remains conscious, saying that she’s done with this charade, that she’s defeated them before and that they should disappear unless they want to experience such demoralizing loss again, her face showing a visage of intimidation.

Her resolve is such that the Historia is broken, the manifestations of her past disappearing to Neinhart’s disbelief.

Jellal and Kagura arrive, the leader of Crime Sorciere preparing to avenge Erza.

The chapter ends as Neinhart recognizes something about Erza that bewilders him, as if her ability is owed to that ancestry of one Lady Eileen.
