Boku no Hero Academia 77
Black Mist asks Shigaraki if it’s
okay to just let the Villains he’s sent to handle this, the Death Hand Villain
saying that they need to see this more like a simulation game than an RPG,
since the latter made them too naïve in thinking they could take on All Might
just by setting up things in a mechanical fashion. This way, he can use his
pawns to slowly whittle people down, sort of like a tower defense game,
arguably.
Shigaraki further notes that they
aren’t just sacrifices, even if it doesn’t matter if they succeed in their
mission, since this is meant to send a message. He look at a picture of
Bakugou, restrained, possibly at the sports festival after his battle with
Todoroki, thinking that he wants them to succeed, likely to show something to
Bakugou and influence him.
Meanwhile, Deku, after having
defeated the Villain before him, starts to fall. But he catches himself, saying
he still needs to let Aizawa and the Pussycats know, Kouta still in disbelief
at him pushing past his limits and injuries.
Deku tells Kouta that they need his
Quirk to suppress the fires started and help everyone else. Kouta gets on
Deku’s back, the inheritor of One For All saving his legs to continue moving,
even if he can’t attack with his arms effectively anymore.
We shift to Aizawa fighting Dabi,
Eraserhead narrowly dodging the attack. He uses his binding tape weapon to
restrain the Villain, even breaking his arm to persist in interrogating him for
information on what the Villain Alliance is doing here.
Iida’s group arrives, Dabi managing
to escape, revealing that his true Quirk seems to be something more sinister
and grotesque, his body melting away, enabling him to retreat as he tells
Aizawa he’d better be ready to protect his precious students.
We see that Dabi’s Quirk may
actually be fire related, another Villain the one who made him disappear, the
Villain we saw fighting Aizawa actually a clone made by someone who resembles
Ectoplasm.
Deku and Kouta meet up with Aizawa,
Deku leaving to meet Mandalay and leaving the Water Horse’s son with
Eraserhead. The Hero teacher brushes off Deku using Quirk unauthorized as he
leaves, Aizawa telling Deku to send another message to Mandalay.
Spinner and Magnee are doing
surprisingly well against Mandalay and Tiger. As Spinner moves to attack
Mandalay, Deku smashes his composite sword with a flying kick.
He tells Mandalay the message to
convey to everyone else: Aizawa will take the responsibility in regards to
breaking the rules, authorizing Class A and B to fight with their Quirks as the
chapter ends.
Seven Deadly Sins 160
Meliodas asks when Ban got separated
from Elaine and Escanor, the Sin of Greed responding that he lost Escanor
yesterday and Elaine about an hour ago.
The Sin of Wrath notes that
Elizabeth is close by, telling Ban to search for Elaine. But Ban says she’ll be
fine, since King and Jericho are protecting her, insisting they focus on
finding Elziabeth.
The wall before them poses a
challenge, but Meliodas and Ban think they can take it out by either attacking
it with a massive force or with such speed the regeneration can’t keep up.
The Dragon and Fox Sins attack with
immense strength, creating massive holes in the wall.
The trio rushes through, Elizabeth calling
out to Meliodas.
Arthur praises Meliodas, saying that
Elizabeth and Ban, in spite of being near strangers to the king, have so much
trust in Meliodas. But the Dragon’s Sin says that one’s feelings towards others
are what is important, moreso than what others feel about you.
The group reunites, Meliodas
thinking Diane was going to be here. The Serpent’s Sin compliments her captain,
even Matrona not able to get through the wall.
We see that Meliodas and Ban
actually managed to pierce through the next wall, getting them right to the
center.
The chapter ends as Dolor and the
unnamed Commandment proceed to begin the tournament.
World Trigger 130
Futaba notes that her left arm and
leg are nearly useless, but still plans to use Idaten. Kitora warns her about
using it, since she figured out that Yomi managed to develop a counter against
the High Speed Slash.
She reminds Futaba that they have to
take out these opponents while Kako keeps up the assault with her Shooter
prowess. Their mission is important for different reasons and they have to
focus, Futaba agreeing as they start again.
Meanwhile, Rei and Kumagai’s assault
against Wen is pushing her to use her stronger Triggers, since she still needs
to buy time for Gatlin and the others. She’s almost out of Dogs so she uses
Serbitora to create duplicates of herself.
Kumagai wonders which one is
attacking, struck from behind as the others distract her with their presence.
Their Operator can’t locate the real one, since there are multiple Trion readings.
Rei says they should retreat to the
hallway, but Wen doesn’t let up, keeping Kumagai on the defensive.
Kumagai notices a shadow, Rei seeing
Triggers that Wen threw when they created smoke by attacking with Viper. She
begins to eliminate them, the Neighbor closing in on Kumagai to finish them
off.
Since the Triggers replicate her
movements, Kumagai tries to remember a trait on Wen’s outfit, the placement of
the emblem different. She begins to target the middle one, but she hears a
voice telling her it’s the far right.
The attack hits dead on, Kikuchihara
appearing, the one who corrected Kumagai before she wasted her chance. He says
she should’ve noted the footsteps rather than appearance, Kumagai figuring out
that Serbitora actually mirrors her appearance, the duplicates looking like her
original appearance so it tricks your expectations.
With Wen open, Rei blasts her with
Viper, leaving her incapacitated on the floor. Utagawa also arrives, offering
them support to get the Neighbor captured and Kikuchihara reminding him that it
was his ears that helped them.
The chapter ends as Wen thinks she
finished her mission adequately, Koskero impressed that they managed to take
her down and commenting that Meeden isn’t to be trifled with.
Magi 293
We flashback to a week before the
announcement by Kougyoku, the others stunned at Alibaba’s idea to use the Kou
Empire’s army to make it a trading company.
Ka Koubun says they can’t maintain a
standing army, only something used for self defense
Alibaba explains that after reading
the documents, he understood that all the skills that Kou developed through war
can be used in a trading company to make goods and food for commerce. The chain
of command is also especially important to keeping competitive and maintaining
a strong work ethic.
With all this combined, they could
become a trading company that rivals Sindria in size.
But Ka Koubun says that there’s
still the issue of the pride that the soldiers have, not willing to change
their ways to that of traders in exchange for the military might they used to
accomplish things.
Alibaba thinks there’s no reason to
see a trader as shameful, since the Kou Empire just took things through force,
the trading company serving as a way to help people and themselves as well.
The issue is how to communicate the
appeal of the trading company as opposed to military life that the soldiers
were used to. He notes that everyone has something they excel at, but they have
difficulty discerning what that is, and he wants to help everyone live a life
they can be proud of.
Kougyoku is stunned at how much
Alibaba has changed, the King Candidate saying they just need to help the
soldiers regain their confidence.
We return to the present, the
military metaphors working well to motivate the soldiers to push forward in the
trading company venture.
They also remember that the Kou
Empire was founded on a unity of various fertile lands, since they maintained a
vineyard, cultivating various vegetables as well in their spare time.
Alibaba’s main goal for now is using
the agricultural possibilities to broaden their trade potential and seek out
exports to other countries. But Ka Koubun says they tried that in the past and
their location made it less than profitable. They’re too far for land travel to
permit the food to survive and sea travel is all but impossible because they’ve
lost any allies like Balbadd that could aid them.
Even air travel is impractical
because Sinbad has a monopoly on it with the magic that they use to create the
airships. Alibaba asks Sinbad for a fleet, but he refuses, saying that Alibaba
should use the assets in Kou to advance his cause.
The chapter ends with Alibaba
confident they can still find someone to help them in spite of the rejection,
thinking that Kou has a lot of people they could ask for aid in the country
itself.
Bleach 662
We resume Yoruichi’s fight with
Askin, the Quincy apparently having taken a solid blow, but unable to die in
spite of it because of his Death Dealing power.
Yoruichi, however, is in worse
straits, a reishi/oxygen/nitrogen hybrid Giftball rendering her resistance to
it so much that it should have killed her. The fact that she’s still standing
makes him amazed at her vitality.
She wonders why he hasn’t killed her
with his power already, implying he might be holding back, but Askin responds
that she’s just that strong and his ability is working overtime to defeat her.
Yoruichi is trying to figure out a
way to fight back, but Askin approaches her without her realizing it, saying
that it’s his win, since she can’t do anything to combat him now.
Suddenly Urahara appears, copping a
feel of Yoruchi’s butt as he jokes that she seems to have gotten the lethal
dose concentrated there. She kicks him in the face, the Soul Reaper trying to
apologize in spite of his crude expression.
Askin notes that Urahara is
considered one of the Special War Powers by Juhabach, Urahara flattered by his
reputation preceding him.
Suddenly, with a brief action,
Yoruichi is able to fight again, Askin confused before he remembers why Urahara
was considered one of the 5 war powers.
Each has a special quality to them:
Ichigo’s latent power, Kenpachi’s fighting strength, Ichibei’s wisdom, Aizen’s
reiatsu and Urahara’s means, able to counter any strategy with enough time.
Yoruichi asks what Urahara injected
into her butt, apparently the panel suggesting he was touching her posterior
not just a joke. He says he won’t tell, but she guesses it’s something
enhancing her strength, though in spite of Kisuke confirming this, he also
notes it’ll only last about 5 minutes.
The two dodge an arrow from Askin,
Urahara asking Yoruichi to do something, the Soul Reaper saying she doesn’t
want to revert back to that form again.
As she attacks Askin, he punches her
in the stomach, saying she’s still too weak to fight him, since she couldn’t
dodge his Gift Ball at full strength.
Yoruichi sees Urahara holding a
sign, saying that once he peels something off of it, she’ll transform.
As he does so, a huge burst of
lightning erupts from Yoruichi, the chapter ending as we see her in a new form,
suggesting that her ability to turn into a cat may have been a subtle hint at
some heritage from her family or the like, possibly a werecat or the like as
well.
Really nice revelations in this
chapter of the 5 War Powers in full as well as hinting something about Yoruichi
with this new form that makes her seem like a literal cat girl of sorts.
One Piece 816
Franky, Robin and Brooke head off to
stop Kinemon’s group, thinking that the Minks would be less than welcoming to
samurai. They hear a bell as we shift to where Duke Dogstorm is.
It’s being rung by the monkey,
Bariete, Dogstorm heading to the capital with anyone who can move.
Kanjuro and Kinemon wonder if the
bell is meant to welcome them, meeting Momonosuke, happy to see his father and
friend alive.
Luffy’s group is running to catch up
with Nekomamushi, who’s headed towards the capital with an army of his own, the
rumors of samurai in Zou spreading quickly.
Catviper’s group arrives in the
Mokomo Dukedom, Pedro trying to dissuade him because Dogstorm is also here. The
two see each other, a conflict possibly brewing between them.
Nami and the others stop Kinemon and
Kanjuro from being seen, telling the three samurai to head back to the Sunny.
Meanwhile Catviper and Dogstorm
square off, remembering how much they suffered with Jack’s torture in his
search for Raizou. The two think only one leader is needed, mocking the other
for losing a limb and thinking they should’ve died.
But as they clash, Kinemon reveals
himself, telling them to stop.
The samurai introduces himself as a
retainer of the Kougetsu family, seeking Raizou. The Straw Hats panic, thinking
this will just make the Minks mad, but they reveal that Raizou is safe and they
were keeping him safe.
It turns out the kingdom of Zou and
the Kougetsu family are old allies and they took all that suffering because
they have a bond of loyalty and they weren’t going to betray that. The chapter
ends on this revelation
One Piece is on break next week
Toriko 358
We continue the flashback, seeing
the Blue Nitro appear on the borders of the Milky Way, searching for NEO. The
evidence of his progress through this area, called the Red Universe, is
evident, planets dead and no life sensed.
But we’re told that NEO has likely
died a few times, fighting against superior opponents or caught in a supernova.
Every few million years this happens and NEO revives again, finding a new
vessel to reside in as a Gourmet Cell demon.
Eventually the Blue Nitro find Earth
and recognize its potential, commanding the Red Nitro to work on preparing the
planet.
This concludes Jiji’s explanation,
the others not nearly as terrified as he thought, Komatsu even trying to
understand it and thinks that it might just need something that truly satisfies
it for it to not have such a ravenous appetite. Sani, Aimaru, Coco and Zebra
all have their own thoughts as well, Sani thinking it’s generally gross, the
Gourmet Knight unable to comprehend that endless hunger, Coco wondering about
the flavor of despair and Zebra thinking he’s being the best creature he could
be.
Meanwhile, we see Joa telling Midora
how NEO’s cells can unlock a new world of flavor and taste that no one has ever
seen, Midora uninterested, focusing on only what he can eat immediately.
The Blue Nitro further explain the
true threat of NEO, the Gourmet Cells he eats unable to be revived unlike how
they usually function, the possibility of him reducing the entire universe to
nothingness something that they want to eliminate. But Jirou doesn’t seem to be
intimidated, thinking he can show NEO true fear.
The chapter ends as we see Toriko
telling Starjun how impressed he is at how Acacia’s Full Course could revive
someone as powerful as Don Slime, wondering how NEO tastes as we see the two
continue to fight, Don Slime seemingly getting some advantage.
Fairy Tail 472
As Icht is knocked back, he uses alchemy to fuse copper and
zinc and forge them into bullets that he fires at Laxus. The Lightning Dragon
Slayer initiates his attack and the reaction creates a huge explosion of
electricity.
Gray comments that this is normal weather for Fairy Tail,
sending a blast of ice nearby to freeze some of the enemies.
Icht analyzes Laxus’ body, finding the anti magic particles.
He’s stunned that the Dragon Slayer’s even alive, Laxus saying it doesn’t
matter, pushing forward to live his life to the fullest.
But as he punches Icht, the Machina Mage says such human
expressions are ridiculous and reminds Laxus that lightning isn’t going to hurt
him, punching back with increased force.
Meanwhile, Erza and Kagura are told that, aside from the
Sword Mage and Alchemist (Icht), there’s another Spriggan they need to handle
in the port, the Mermaid Heel members holding off the small fry where they are
now.
Wendy and Cherria prepare to fight, the Sky God Slayer
commenting that the shirt given to her by Charle from Wendy is a little tight,
implying she’s grown recently in the chest area.
Dimaria tells them that she won’t go easy on them even if
they’re kids, Wendy and Cherrisa ready to fight to bring peace back to the port
town.
Laxus and Icht’s fight continues, the Lighting Dragon Slayer
surprising the Alchemist with his immense power in spite of severe
concentration of anti magic particles in his body.
Icht shifts his personality from frivolous to coldhearted,
shifting all his energy to enhancing his power and focusing his target to
Laxus, estimating it will take 90 seconds to defeat him.
He launches past Laxus, the burst of power igniting the sky
in a blinding light.
The chapter ends as everyone sees this, Laxus’ body reacting
to the anti magic particles and suffering another episode which weakens him,
turning the tide against him as we see Icht’s enhanced assault form.
