Boku no Hero Academia 79
Shouji explains that he and Tokoyami
heard the warning, but were attacked by Moonfish’s teeth blades, the Tentacle
Hero taking a slight hit to one of his duplicate arms to save Tokoyami from
severe damage
But Dark Shadow has gone out of
control, Tokoyami struggling to wrestle it back into submission as it lashes
out at anyone in the area.
Shouji thinks that if they move him
back to a lighted area, Dark Shadow can be suppressed. But he also notes that
Deku has 2 choices: he can stay with him and try to help Tokoyami or he can
take an opening that Shouji can make for him and go to aid Bakugou.
Deku’s deliberating, possibly
concluding that he has to help Bakugou even if Tokoyami is also in danger.
We shift back to the Gas Villain,
noting that Tetsutetsu is okay, though the gunshot did break his mask, so now
the Iron Body Hero has to hold his breath or he’s in more danger.
The Villain continues to attack
Tetsutetsu, thinking he was a fool to haphazardly rush in to attack, since he’s
supposed to be from a highly respected school. He comments the Hero won’t even
be worth killing if he can’t pose a bigger threat.
He fires at Kendou, laughing at
their attempt to trick him, since his Quirk allows him to control the gas that
comes from him and apparently even sense movements through it, meaning their
strategy of having Kendou attack from a blind spot wasn’t going to work.
The Gas Villain offers a mulligan,
allowing them to try again, but Tetsutetsu rushes at him, shot at point blank
again, possibly doing more damage, since his Iron Body Quirk is wearing off
with bleeding visible by Kendou.
He further mocks the Heroes,
thinking that they’ve been weakened by Yuuei treating them with privilege and
his simplistic Hardening type Quirk making him simple minded in his tactics.
Tetsutetsu is kicked in the gut, the gas affecting him as Kendou tries to
attack again. But the Villain dodges, thinking Kendou can’t land a hit on him.
She uses her Quirk’s ability to
increase the size of limbs and fans away the gas. With the cloud thinned,
Tetsutetsu manages to attack him unawares as Kendou tells the Villain that
using the gun just told them that he was never confident in close range combat.
And she further emphasizes that Yuuei students never give up even when they’re
in a pinch
Tetsutetsu smashes the Villain’s
mask with a punch, knocking him out as well, the battle concluded as he
collapses, having still held his breath through the conflict.
Meanwhile, Bakugou and Todoroki are
still unable to get an edge against Moonfish, since he’s got more mobility with
his Quirk.
But before they start to get
reckless, Deku and Shouji appear, telling one of them to create some light,
Tokoyami and Dark Shadow following them in their blind rage.
Moonfish is smashed and defeated in
a single blow by Dark Shadow.
The chapter ends as we see that Deku
told Shouji to use his Tentacle Quirk to make decoys and draw Tokoyami to where
Bakugou and Todoroki were so they could negate his Quirk with light. Instead of
choosing one person to save, Deku, in his heroic idealism, wants to save both.
Seven Deadly Sins 163
The rules of the tournament are
explained: 1) use of any weapons, magic or even foul play is allowed, 2) to
win, you must kill your opponent, render them helpless or knock them off the
platform, 3) you can’t abandon or forfeit the battle.
Meliodas and Ban try to tell
Gloxinia to take Elizabeth and Elaine out of the fight, but she responds that
they became participants the second they entered the labyrinth.
Elizabeth and Elaine tell Meliodas
and Ban that they’re fine and they should each focus on their own battle
instead.
The assassins are mixed in whether
they want to attack the women, but conclude they like it anyway.
Elizabeth is astounded at Elaine’s
power, King’s sister equally in awe of how kind Elizabeth is, since Ban and
Meliodas are very similar people.
Elaine wonders why they came,
Elizabeth saying it was to stop the Ten Commandments as well as Meliodas’ whim,
Elaine thinking Ban’s very much the same.
The Marakia Assassin Knights throw
smoke bombs and attack Elizabeth with a snake whip, biting her shoulder. She
collapses as the other Assassin Knight attacks Elaine from behind.
She dodges, in spite of him erasing
his presence, saying she can still read his heart. The Fairy Guardian smashes
them with an even stronger attack.
Elizabeth reveals herself, the
assassins wondering how she survived the poison. The Druid Princess heals the
other assassin, noting how Marakia and Liones used to be allies, but Liones devastated
the kingdom, leaving them a shell of their former self.
Elaine wonders why she did this,
Elizabeth commenting that she’s the princess of Liones and that forgiveness is
something she should practice, especially if she wants to send the right
message. The chapter ends on this, the battle at a standstill for now.
World Trigger 132
Kuruma and others are impressed at
Tamakoma 1’s abilities with their custom Triggers, but Ninomiya reminds them
that they’re going to be at a disadvantage once they deplete their Trion.
Ninomiya notices that Reghindetz is
moving away, Yomi asking his comrade why he’s doing that, since he’s heading
towards the city. They’re not allowed to attack it, but Reghindetz says that
just appearing like they are will draw away some of their forces so they can
strike at their weak points.
But Border’s squads see through the
bluff, since Jin’s prediction noted the town is safe, and Fuyushima says they
can use his teleporter if they are actually intending to attack.
Reghindetz is irritated that no one
even paid him mind as the agents continue to mow down the Trion soldiers.
Back at the fight in Border HQ,
Ratarikov finds out about the teleporter Triggers in the area, Kazama using one
to nearly catch him off guard.
Gatlin tries to push back Konami,
missing her as he tries to follow up and finish her off. Tachikawa prepares to
attack with Senkuu Kogetsu again, but Gatlin throws a piece of the wall at
them.
Kazama dodges, Ratarikov striking
him with Despinis, concentrated into a stronger attack.
Meanwhile, with Gatlin in an
opportune position to attack from various sides, Kou, Tachikawa and Konami all
strike, but find that he’s created a shield with the arms, showing how tough
the material is. They think they can’t take him head on, Gatlin thinking to
himself about their strategic positions
Konami is the agile member, strong,
but keeping him on his toes: Kou is the one defending the target, skilled with
his blade as well. And Tachikawa is the one that maintains the flow between the
group and has range with his attacks as well. Kazama, mistaken as the youngest
in spite of being older than the other 3, is keeping Ratarikov occupied and
uses the Camouflage Trigger, thinking the others might also use it.
With his arm cannon having fully
charged, Gatlin plans what he’ll do with that shot.
Tachikawa thinks Gatlin can’t afford
to delay this attack, since 2 of his soldiers have already been defeated above.
He consults with Konami as to what they should do.
Meanwhile, Kazama is focusing on his
opponent, thinking that if he can defeat the Neighbor, they’ll have a bigger
advantage against Gatlin. He can’t afford to let Ratarikov distract Tachikawa’s
group.
The chapter concludes as Gatlin
resolves to take out one of the group to change things in his favor while
Tachikawa and Konami have finished their discussion and are ready to
counterattack.
Magi 295
We see Gyokuen/Hakuei talking to
Sinbad, asking why he’s so irritated at Alibaba’s protests. The King of the
Seven Seas says it’s mostly because Alibaba reminds him of his younger days
when he was more idealistic instead of realizing the cold hard truth he sees
now.
But he still says that he’ll never
abandon outcasts like the Kou Empire, letting Alibaba do what he wants until it
goes bankrupt.
Shifting back to Rakushou, Koumei is
revealed as Alibaba’s new strategist, disguised as someone else, even though
Kougyoku and some others know his true identity under the mask.
Koumei asks where the Magic Research
Facility is, most of them confused. Ka Koubun remembers one mysterious
department that Hakuryuu commanded them to continue funding for even after he
left.
The facility is revealed to be
underground, dug into the mountains nearby, so that even the International
Alliance is not aware of its existence. Kouha’s followers are overjoyed to see
his brother, promising to give him all the research they’ve done.
There’s been development of a long
range clairvoyance magic device equal to that of the International Alliance,
they’ve gotten better success with giving Dungeon Monster features and traits
to people from 20% to 70%, and they’ve figured out ways to speed up or hold
back assimilation by Household members with their Household Vessels.
They’ve also advanced the parallel
theories of ki and the Eight Trigrams, connected to the Eight Aspects of Magic
we learned about in Magnostadt.
One of the Trigrams is Heaven, which
is apparently Life Magic based, since it allows them to stop decomposition and
even somewhat revive the dead, which Alibaba sees as troubling, since they use
their dead soldiers as a possible tool to invade other countries.
But they persist in thinking that
it’s a way to continue their pursuit even after death, Alibaba moving on from
that disturbing attitude of the Kou Empire.
Another talisman is Fire Magic
based, allowing even someone who can’t use magic to activate the spells.
Alibaba asks why Koumei researched
the dungeons, the strategist saying it was because he sensed danger from them.
He even started the facility’s development before dungeons were known to the
world, somewhat predicting such a possible danger from magic, not regarded
highly in the Kou Empire.
Koumei’s foresight amazes Alibaba,
since if he was older, they could’ve begun their research earlier than even
Magnostadt and truly been the superpower of the world.
The chapter ends as we’re teased
that Koumei’s researchers have apparently made strides in something that would
help with transportation, likely something time-space Magic related, like
Koumei’s Dantalion Djinn.
One Piece 817
Jack is checking the news,
frustrated at the reports that he’s dead.
Meanwhile, Kinemon shows off a crest
on his back confirming that he has the same alliance as Raizou, with the
Kouzuki family (which might just be a varied reading of the kanji, I’m not
sure, since technically the getsu kanji can be read as zuki as well in this
context). Dogstorm and Catviper also have the emblems, but they continue to
bicker, saying the other is just in the way.
Momonosuke stops them, saying that
his father would be disappointed in them if they were fighting over such a
reason.
The others are confused as Catviper
and Dogstorm bow to Momonosuke, Kinemon revealing they lied. He and Momonosuke
are not father and son, but he is merely the retainer to his father, Oden
Kouzuki, the daimyo of the Wano Kingdom, making Momonosuke the heir.
Kinemon explains that they kept
Momo’s identity a secret because of the danger it would pose if it were
revealed. Luffy doesn’t really care, never one for respecting authority.
Momo goes to Nami, saying Luffy’s a
bully, but Nami’s focusing on the possibility of his father having treasure she
can steal.
Dogstorm and Catviper decide to call
a truce for now, everyone happy that they’ve reconciled for now.
The group heads to meet Raizou,
ascending the whale at the center of Whale Forest and finding a secret door.
Raizou is shown to be somewhat
imprisoned, possibly for his own safety, since he seems very excitable.
Robin notices a giant stone with the
Kouzuki clan symbol on it, Catviper and Dogstorm revealing it’s another
Poneglyph.
As she goes to read it, the others
ask Raizou to show off his ninja skills. They eventually egg him on to do it,
in spite of him saying that a true ninja is silent and honorable.
The chapter ends as he poses, Luffy,
Chopper and Usopp especially impressed by his display of ninjutsu, including
shurikens, a smoke bomb and cloning himself.
Bleach 664
Askin explains that in his
Vollstandig, he can analyze all the changes in one’s reiatsu, even as fast as
Yoruichi in Black Cat Warrior Princess form, within 1 second of taking the
attack. To make this battle go faster, he tells Kisuke more about his final
form.
The nature of his immunity is now
such that, as long as the base reiatsu or “poison” substance he uses Death
Dealing on is the same, it can adjust to any changes overall, rendering it an
adaptive immunity that’s near impossible to defeat on its own.
He challenges Kisuke to reveal more
tricks, thinking he has to have more means to counter him.
The area is surrounded in a Gift
Bereich, a barrier that the Death Dealing says is impossible to get out of.
Kisuke questions Askin’s loyalty,
thinking this attitude is a bit suspicious for someone who supposedly obeys
Juhabach’s will.
Askin observes that Kisuke isn’t
entirely wrong, since he’s very interested in Juhabach’s idea to remake the
world after completely destroying it. He’s sticking with the Quincy King
because of the potential he has and says that Kisuke is a similar kind of
person in having seen so much of the world. He asks if Kisuke also wants to see
what kind of world Juhabach will make if he succeeds.
But Kisuke attacks him, saying that
neither he nor Mayuri would want to see such a world that someone else created,
but make it themselves, since that’s the true goal of any scientist at their
core.
Askin, seeing that they can’t agree,
uses Gift Ring, throwing a ring with a sphere on it at Kisuke. It disappears,
appearing in his eye and obliterating it. The nature of the attack is
concentrating Death Dealing to a singular point so it can initiate instant
death.
Before he moves on to destroy the
rest of Kisuke’s organs, the Soul Reaper initiates his Bankai: Kannon Biraki
Benihime Aratame: Inquisition of the Crimson Princess of the Doors of Avalokitesvara.
Toriko 360
Komatsu’s group arrives at Area 2,
Jiji explaining that it’s a continent with various environments and that it’ll
be hard to find Toriko. But the chef thinks he knows where Toriko is, Sani
wondering if it’s his Food Luck.
Meanwhile, Don Slime continues to
fight NEO, seemingly throwing a meteorite on him, suggesting that natural
disasters have a will of their own in some sense.
Starjun tells Toriko they need to
chase after the Wolf King, but Toriko notices some new smell, very calm in the
face of the imminent danger they’re in.
It’s Komatsu’s group coming out of
the Back Channel, the combo tearfully reuniting after so long, especially for
Komatsu, since it’s been decades, his mental age much more than Toriko’s now.
Toriko notices the smell more
directly, which is actually the rest of Acacia’s Full Course, minus GOD and
CENTER. The others haven’t eaten any of it yet, preparing to eat it here before
the final conflict. Komatsu even invites Starjun to partake as well.
The group is ready to eat, the Back
Channel allowing them to somewhat take their time.
Jiji notices the Gourmet Eclipse is
nearing, the last ray of light disappearing, but still shining on the group as
they’re eating Acacia’s Full Course, making the Golden Chef think that they’re
like the last hope of the world now as the chapter concludes
Fairy Tail 474
We get a map explaining the situation of various
battles across Magnolia.
Natsu is still recovering, Happy thinking there has
to be another way to solve this besides killing Natsu to take out Zeref.
Meanwhile, Mavis asks Warren about the situation
across the continent. He notes that the western forces are still at a
standstill and the north will be okay once Gajeel’s squad gets there. The
Eastern Squad has seemingly been defeated, but one of the Spriggan 12 is down,
so there’s some strong fear of the threat from the forces that defeated the 4
Wizard Saints.
But they have some hope, since Erza’s group managed
to take out one of the Spriggan 12 on their end as well. Makarov reminds them
that with the eastern front broken through and with no backup plan or knowledge
of when Zeref will move from the west, they need to consult Mavis.
She says she needs some time to think, having to
decide how to face someone she regarded as a friend in the past.
Meanwhile, we see that Meredy has joined the fight
alongside Gray, Juvia and Leon.
Erza and Kagura have come up against 2 of the 4
Knights of Nineheart, imposing figures in their own right. But Erza and Kagura
take them out easily.
As the other 2 knights appear, they’re defeated
quickly by Jellal, also joining the fight as the leader of Crime Sorciere.
Back with Wendy and Sherria’s fight against Dimaria,
we’re shown that the Sword Mage’s true magic is Age Seal, a magic that freezes
time completely, making her far more dangerous than Rider of the Oracion Seis, on the same level as
Ultear in the scale and intensity of her magic.
As she prepares to kill Wendy, we’re surprised to
find they can move as well.
The chapter ends as Ultear reveals she is still
alive in some sense, since with her power, she is also able to exist in
Dimaria’s space and influence it, what she calls the Jail of Time.
