Boku no Hero Academia 57
We flash back to the day of the
attack, a news helicopter spotting Shigaraki and Black Mist.
People are excited about Stain being
arrested, though the news story’s picture of Endeavor shows he’s a bit
disappointed (likely because he didn’t want the credit, since he didn’t
actually capture Stain). Stain’s real name is given out and we find out that
the Noumu have had their family registries eliminated, meaning they’re
essentially non persons in Japan.
Shigaraki is irritated that Stain is
still getting the focus in the news, the Noumu only mentioned after the fact.
Best Jeanist (that’s actually his
name and it’s because he has an outfit focused on jeans for some reason), tells
Bakugou that at times like these, Heroes need to keep their cool and not be
overwhelmed by the media hyping up things and exciting everyone.
Everyone else is still going through
with their internships with pro Heroes and Ochako has to rush to end her call
with Deku, since Gunhead is starting training.
We find out that Iida’s left arm is
a bit damaged, though it can possibly be repaired with nerve grafting surgery,
but for now he says he’ll leave it as is until he can represent a true Hero.
Deku can relate, his own injury
after fighting Shinsou still a reminder of how he has to work harder to meet
All Might’s standards. The two resolve to work harder, but Todoroki seems to
think he might be cursed, both their hands damaged while being with him, the
other two laughing it off.
Gran Torino is talking to All Might,
explaining that he got his right to teach revoked for half a year, All Might
apologizing for his failure as a teacher. The Jet Hero compliments Toshinori on
training Deku well and how he reflects his mentor’s impulsiveness to help
people.
He chides All Might for forgetting
him, but his main focus is to bring up how dangerous Stain’s ideology is, not
different in some ways from All Might seeing himself as the symbol of peace.
Gran Torino is concerned that, with
Stain eventually getting recent media attention, that more Villains who share
his vision, will form a stronger Villain Alliance than Shigaraki did, which was
ill conceived by comparison.
But even more pressing a matter is
that the person behind all this may very well be the one who injured All Might
and killed his predecessor, Shimura, a Villain called All For One. All Might
doesn’t want to think he could be alive, but it’s still a possibility that
might exist.
Gran Torino tells All Might to keep
an eye on Deku and to explain all his backstory regarding One For All the next
time he sees him.
We see some illegal arms dealing
going on, particularly with support items for Heroes made without a license.
One of the people involved brings up how the reveal of Stain’s backstory in the
news has really brought the darkest Villains out of the woodworks.
It turns out Stain was never an
official Hero: he dropped out in his first year of education in the system and
eventually trained himself to become what he saw as a true Hero, not someone
who fought for rewards, but made sacrifices for the greater good.
We see various Villains and get the
implication they’re going to form the new Villain Alliance, Shigaraki at the
head of it all as the chapter ends.
Seven Deadly Sins 138
Fraudrin speaks to Dreyfus about the
town he’s in, having gone there 3 years ago to buy a set of armor for
Griamore’s knighting ceremony. This means Dreyfus is still alive in a sense,
just dominated by Fraudrin’s mind.
He threatens to kill some villagers,
Dreyfus powerless to stop him.
But he’s stopped by a young girl,
who seems to be flirting with him, even kissing him on the cheek after they
talk about her being a traveler.
Fraudrin recognizes her as Deldrey
of the Six Knights of the Azure Sky, figuring that Denzel is planning
something. Deldrey says it’s a shame she has to kill him, since she liked him.
She also notes that if he kills her, he won’t know what Denzel is planning, but
Fraudrin responds that he’ll know once he eats her soul.
As he tries to do so, however,
Fraudrin punches himself in the face. He wonders why he’d even attack Deldrey,
who reveals that her power, Love Drive, will intensify any affection towards
her to complete loyalty.
Fraudrin tries to resist, but he
loudly pronounces his love in spite of himself, realizing how dangerous her
power is.
A rain of arrows comes at her,
Fraudrin blocking them. But one managed to graze Deldrey, who kisses him again
to advance the power to a higher level of devotion.
The attack comes again, Fraudrin
blocking most of them. Arden reveals himself after Fraudrin tries to attack
with his Break power.
He explains that his power, Vain,
increases the amount of magic power you need to use by the number of arrows
you’ve taken.
Fraudrin says he doesn’t even need
to use magic to defeat him, rushing to punch the Holy Knight. But Wayeo of the
Pleiades stops the attack. He asks Deldrey if she’s considered his proposal for
marriage, but she ignores him.
As the demon tries to attack Wayeo,
he manages to knock him out with an attack, strengthened by Deldrey’s Love
Drive.
The three leave with Fraudrin in
tow, but it seems that one of the other Ten Commandments was watching.
Meanwhile, Ban is talking to a
shopkeeper about a rumor that he had something that could revive the dead. But
he says there’s nothing like that here.
As the Sin of Greed leaves, the man
stops him, saying he heard someone was brought back to live in the Bandit City
Ravens. The chapter ends as the two leave, Ban warning Jericho that it’s a
dangerous place.
World Trigger 113
As Osamu Bails Out, Azuma squad
takes the lead with the first point in this Rank War. Turns out Azuma used data
from his teammates and general topographical data from the Operator to find out
his position.
Kazama wonders if Azuma
intentionally targeted Osamu because he was concerned about what he’d do, Kako
saying it’s impressive that he scored a hit through a building.
Osamu apologizes to Usami, but she
tells him that Yuma and Chika are still awaiting his orders, confirming that in
Rank Wars, Bailed Out agents can still communicate with other team members.
Yuma tries to say that he was at
fault because Kageura was holding him off, but Osamu thinks that it was his own
error in judgment to try to fight alone instead of using a Bagworm and hiding.
Arashiyama notes that this will be a
tough thing for Osamu to deal with, but Kitora says that he should be able to
persevere with all the effort he’s put in.
Ninomiya’s squad members think it’d
be better to get outside, but they’re also concerned about the bad footing in
the snow. They think it might be more advantageous to fight Azuma squad’s
members, but instead they prioritize getting to Azuma outside, since they know
he’s a big threat as an expert Sniper.
Kazama wonders why Chika won’t take
the good shot offered to her with 4 people clustered together in a tiny area,
but Inukai notes the rumor that Chika can’t shoot people.
But suddenly Chika’s cannon blast
hits the building, nearly getting the group. However, she missed, relying on
radar instead of sight to get around her issue of shooting people.
Now that everyone knows where she
is, Osamu tells Chika to Bail Out, but she can’t, since Azuma is within 60
meters of her.
Chika retreats, Osamu telling Yuma
to cover her, the Neighbor retreating from his battle with Kageura.
Inukai finds he can’t penetrate
Chika’s shield, impressed with her Trion levels.
Tsuji holds off Yuma’s attack on
Inukai, but as Inukai shoots, Yuma placed a Grasshopper under Chika so she’d go
flying out of his range.
Inukai moves to attack again, but
he’s hit by an Ibis shot from Izuru, taking out his arm.
Kageura takes advantage of the
opening, dodging Inukai’s one shot and stabs him with Scorpion, forcing him to
Bail Out.
Inukai jokes that they’re being too
soft on Chika as he leaves, but Kageura apparently just wants to beat them so
they can focus on Tamakoma-2.
Chika Bails Out, guaranteeing
Tamakoma 2 a point. But the chapter ends as Ema is being targeted by Ninomiya,
while Yuma is surrounded by the 4 remaining Attackers, Tsuji, Kageura, Okudera
and Koarai.
Magi 278
We start 6
days after the Kanan Plains battle, Kouen having surrendered. Hakuryuu demands
to know why, Kouen saying they were given a compelling negotiation by Sinbad,
saying that they’d forgive everyone, except for the crime of being involved in
the rebellion.
Kouen asks
for his sword back, not because it’s his Metal Vessel, but because it has
sentimental value, being given to him by Hakuryuu’s dead older brother,
Hakuyuu.
Hakuryuu
demands to know why Kouen didn’t fight Gyokuen, Kouen saying he wasn’t strong
enough, since he only had 2 Metal Vessels at the time. Without his resistance
in some subtle manner, the country could’ve fallen completely under the control
of Al Thamen.
But
Hakuryuu says he did everything he could to take her down, but Kouen did
nothing. He asks why, Kouen saying that his personal revenge was not important.
He sought to unify the world, inspired by Hakutoku, Hakuryuu’s father, to do
so.
They were
fighting in the battle years ago to unite the Kou Empire and Kouen despaired at
how horrible the things humans were doing in this war. Hakutoku responded that
all these people were pursuing their own justice.
The end
goal is to unite all countries by erasing the boundaries that exist, so they
don’t have conflicts to begin with.
Kouen
notes how Hakuryuu’s actions have weakened the empire with civil war and the
like. Hakuryuu responds that Kouen would’ve been a better emperor, taking his
father’s position alongside Gyokuen.
But Kouen
says he didn’t want to from the start, fearing Gyokuen, and wondering if she’s
really dead as the chapter ends.
One Piece 799
Luffy’s fight with Fujitora is
bizarre in that he’s announcing his attacks and being more aggressive than
usual. This irks the admiral, since he thinks Luffy’s trying to antagonize him.
The Straw Hat Pirate says he’s
merely trying to help him know how much he’s beating him, since he’s blind. He
also notes that he doesn’t hate the admiral, which makes the Purple Tiger
snicker, since he thinks Luffy’s become overly sentimental in a fight that’s
supposed to be between men.
Fujitora uses Gravity Blade: Fierce
Tiger, knocking Luffy away. Hajrudin grabs him, moving to take him out to sea
with the aid of Orlumbus’s Yonta Maria fleet.
Luffy’s struggling to get out,
Fujitora thinking to himself that Luffy’s already doomed himself by taking out
Doflamingo, bringing the wrath of the Yonkou on him.
But more importantly, the threat of
the huge amount of rubble that Fujitora amassed with his Devil Fruit power is
still looming over them.
Suddenly, the people of Dressrosa
start to pursue Luffy, saying they don’t need the Marine’s help, since they
apparently now view Rebecca with much respect and want to take her back from
Lucy.
But as Fujitora listens with his
enhanced hearing, he realizes the people were already aware of Rebecca’s
heritage, Kyros’ romance with Scarlet and even the identity of the Tontatta.
Now they’re just trying to help Luffy escape under the pretense of them chasing
after him. They’re using the threat of Fujitora killing them as they swarm
around Luffy to stop him from releasing the rubble, since he wouldn’t hurt citizens.
The Marines are furious as Fujitora
lets them leave, thinking that he would want to see Luffy’s face, since he’s so
kind that he inspired the loyalty of the people of Dressrosa.
We see the fleet ship of Orlumbus,
the Yonta Maria, a massive warship that astonishes everyone.
Hajrudin tells Luffy that he knows
giants that were part of the Giant Pirate Crew back in the day and he’ll try to
reform them to help Luffy. Orlumbus says his 56 ship fleet is also Luffy’s to
use.
Luffy’s confused, but we get an
explanation from everyone that followed from their discussions as toys. All their
forces, numbering over 5000 people and probably hundreds of ships, are all now
devoted to helping Luffy become the Pirate King.
The chapter ends as they start the
ritual to exchange sake and seal the deal.

Bleach 641
Nemu hands something to Mayuri
called the Capture Meat Medicine (rough translation of the kanji, mostly
likely), saying this was why she came here.
Mayuri uses it to restore his
destroyed arm, noting that Nemu was very observant to notice that he hadn’t
used it yet. She thought it was odd he was rushed in going out, Mayuri
impressed and yet disturbed that she watched him so closely.
He leaps off the building, rushing
at Pernidas, who assaults him with all 3 of his arms, making it difficult for
the Soul Reaper to dodge.
Mayuri speaks with Nemu through some
internal connection between their minds, noting that he’s going to sprinkle a
painkiller to numb Pernidas’ nerves to the point that his arrows will pause,
but he also has to account for his own body’s reaction.
Nemu, in the meantime, will inject
the arrows, once they’re immobile, with the nerve freezing agent, which will
render Pernidas completely immobile, freezing his blood where it pumps, since
it stops all nerve activity, killing him by stopping his heart. Mayuri even
checked to find out if blood flows through him, so he’s not just leaping to a
conclusion with this tactic.
Nemu quickly stabs one of the arrows
that has been rendered paralyzed with the nerve killer, a blackness spreading
over Pernidas’s hand slowly.
But before it can reach the main
body, he slices off the finger, saying that Mayuri’s not good enough. The Soul
Reaper thinks he’s sounding like Kenpachi, figuring that he’s actually evolving
by gleaning data from anything his nerves touch.
Nemu’s in danger, because her
reflexes aren’t up to Kenpachi’s. But it also seems like Ashisogi Jizou’s Demon
Womb Wrapped In Disease is trying to attack, but Pernidas strikes at the Soul
Reaper.
The chapter ends as Nemu seems
resolved to save Mayuri in spite of him telling her to retreat.
Toriko 337
After we’re reminded that Midora has
arrived at the fight against NEO, we shift to Area 1, where the Nitro are
preparing something, rushing to get the ingredients from Acacia’s Full Course
in time, since the monster they’re giving “food” to might revive at any moment.
It’s called NEO, though it’s not the
organization, it seems.
A part of it flies off, attacking
NEWS, the Nitro in charge of that ingredient, but regenerates from the near
fatal damage. They move to catch it, saying if it isn’t stopped, it will devour
everything.
Back at the fight with Midora versus
NEO, he basically trounces all 3 of them with one move each. Even Mohyan Shai
Shai is stunned to find his Rewind technique doesn’t work (suggesting it may
actually be a limited form of time control rather than my theory controlling
ingredients)
Midora is confused, since Zaus,
Joejoe and Kousairou are all alive even after he killed them, meaning the
Rewind only partially worked.
Joa explains that it’s because of
these orbs called LIFE, which can die in the place of someone, so they’re safe
from his deadly attacks.
Joa is somewhat surprised to see
Midora, though it’s hinted that they’ve met before, supporting the theory that
she is Frohze after being revived with different memories or the like.
The chapter ends as we see the piece
of NEO gobble up a giant monster and encounter Jirou, Chichi and Setsuno,
wondering what it is and hinting at a fight.
Fairy Tail 450
Everyone’s marveling over Makarov, his mother Rita insisting
that she wanted to deliver him at the guild, surrounded by all the people who
love him. She asks Mavis to name him as his godmother, Mavis choosing Makarov
because it’s the name of a kind king in a book she read.
The guild agrees with the name, though Precht thinks Pippoko
would’ve been a nice name.
As Mavis grasps Rita’s hand, she collapses, seemingly
unconscious. But Mavis realizes that Zeref may have been right in saying that
once she sees the preciousness of life, she’ll start to lose everyone.
She flees the guild, seeing the curse take hold and kill
everything around her as she falls over in a forest, the flora dying in a
circle.
She stays away from everyone, isolating herself so much that
Zeref only finds her a year later. Mavis is apparently truly immortal, not
having eaten in half a year and yet not even at risk of death.
Mavis demands that Zeref kill her, but he says neither of
them are vulnerable to death in seemingly any way, even decapitating them
apparently not enough.
Zeref suggests that Mavis change her perspective and see the
silver lining: they have unlimited time. He explains how he’s building a nation
on another continent, as well as his creation of the Etherias in order to die.
The process is fun to him in a way, yet has a contradiction,
like the curse itself, in that he despises such conflict and war. He sees how
insane he has become with the curse, even his thoughts clashing against each
other, wanting to save his brother, but kill him at the same time.
Zeref mourns how the world rejects him, but Mavis responds
that she accepts him, the two connecting in a sort of love.
But the chapter ends as we see that somehow, Zeref valuing
Mavis’ life caused him to kill her (though not completely, since her spirit
still survived)
