World Trigger is off this week, again
unexpectedly.
Naruto 700 +3
We start with Naruto bidding farewell
to Shikamaru as Sarada and Chouchou follow. Sarada is pulling the Akimichi
child ahead, who falls over as she’s thinking about the way they should travel,
sampling local foods and the like.
Bolt and Mitsuki run up to Shikamaru,
Naruto having forgotten his lunch. Sarada volunteers to take it, but Bolt
decides he’ll take it back, saying Naruto doesn’t deserve it. Chouchou is
pulled to the side by Mitsuki as she says she can eat it if they’re not going
to deliver it.
Sarada insists that Naruto should get
it, especially since he knew it was made by someone that loves him. Bolt
agrees, begrudgingly handing it over as she and Chouchou leave.
We see a mysterious creature with a
Sharingan eye, resembling something like the Zetsu clones from Hashirama. The
mysterious figure tells the boy with the Sharingan, Shin, that he must capture
Sarada.
Sarada and Chouchou are rushing to
catch Naruto, who notices they’re following him, turning around.
Shin appears before Sarada and
Chouchou, saying his father says he must capture the Uchiha child.
Sarada refuses, the two clashing as
Shin summons a weapon from a scroll. Sarada distracts him with a volley of kunai, stepping on the chain to
disrupt him and let Chouchou attack him from behind.
She uses the Partial Size Enhancement
Technique, smashing the ground with a giant hand. But Shin managed to dodge,
moving above her to stab downward in an attempt to kill her, also knocking back
Sarada.
The chapter ends as Naruto appears,
saving Chouchou and preparing to face off against Shin.
Boku no Hero Academia 41
Recovery Girl manages to heal Deku
enough so he can walk, his hand somewhat warped in shape now even after
surgery. She says that she won’t heal him again after doing something like
this, so All Might needs to find another method for training.
Deku notes how he saw everyone fighting
with so much determination and wanted to impress his mentor. All Might stops
him, saying that he chose Deku for a reason, especially since he had the
makings of a great Hero even without having a Quirk. Todoroki would actually be
even more powerful, since the All For One Quirk would stack with Fire and Ice.
All Might confides in Deku that he was
Quirkless back in the day himself and that his master believed in him like he
believes in Deku.
The #1 Hero says that Deku has
surprised him more than once and that he’s learned more from Deku than he ever
thought possible, not only because he reminds him of his past self, but because
he holds such promise on his own.
The Sports Festival continues, Bakugou
fighting Kirishima and having a tough time doing any damage.
Iida’s fight against Shiozaki was done
almost immediately as he rung her out with a burst of speed. Ashido versus
Tokoyami was finished quickly as well, though we only know that Tokoyami won in
the end.
Bakugou manages to pierce through
Kirishima’s armor after hitting the same spot multiple times.
Now Iida, Todoroki, Tokoyami and
Bakugou are in the finals.
Iida’s match against Todoroki starts
with Iida getting an advantage by pushing himself into the highest gear Engine
can manage. He lands a solid kick, but as he pulls Todoroki to the ring’s
border, his engine stalls, Todoroki now using close range attacks and rendering
him immobile with ice.
The chapter ends as we see a Villain
has attacked the police, commenting on how pitiful Heroes are. The Hero Killer,
as the police call him in their dying report, says only All Might can kill him,
suggesting he’s a foe from the past.
Seven Deadly Sins 125
Meliodas dreams about his failure to
protect Liz, but wakes up to see Elizabeth, who embraces him, thinking he might
have been dead.
They’re at a royal chamber in Camelot,
everyone else recovering. Merlin’s still petrified, Arthur mourning the
apparent loss, though Slader says he shouldn’t be crying so, since Merlin
wouldn’t want it.
Meliodas says they should ask her
themselves, wondering why Galan left without finishing them off.
Gowther reveals he manipulated Galan’s
memories so he thought he’d killed them all. He’s stable after having a Peace
Bracelet put on him by Merlin.
Merlin’s still alive, in a manner of
speaking, her soul transferred to her Sacred Treasure, Aldan, before she was
completely turned to stone. Even Merlin admits she can’t negate the power of
the Ten Commandments, since they’re abilities comparable to the Goddess Clan.
Meliodas concludes they have to think
of some way to beat them, the major issue being that they’re weaker than people
from 3 millennia ago.
Merlin notes that it’s because it’s
been such a peaceful era. She lists off the power levels of the Sins as well as
allies in Liones, totaling up to about 150,000. The Ten Commandments, on the
other hand, even weakened and having the same general power level as Galan,
would be about 260,000 and potentially over 300,000 at full strength combined.
Merlin emphasizes that awakening
Elizabeth and Arthur’s powers will be key to this battle, suggesting incredible
importance to the plot, though it’s still a mystery what Arthur’s power could
be. Elizabeth is confident, Arthur not nearly as convinced that he’s as strong
as Merlin thinks he is.
The Sins conclude they must find
Escanor (whose power level we still don’t know, though it’s likely more
fluctuating by comparison, with the nature of his abilities)
As the Sins go to meet Diane, King
flies in through a portal, wondering where Diane is and surprised to learn that
there were demons in Camelot as well as the Fairy King’s Forest.
Diane wakes up, revealing she has
amnesia (likely from being hit on the head with her hammer by Galan) and
doesn’t recognize King at all as the chapter ends.
It’s possible Gowther might’ve altered
Diane’s memories earlier and it’s just now affecting her, though. Nakaba writes
in ways that are very involved with previous events.
Magi 265
Yunan
explains that the other side of the Great Rift, where the Fanalis live, is just
an extension of this world, but he can’t help her find Alibaba. Morgiana tries
to use her Household Vessel, but she’s likely used up most of her Magoi, so she
starts bleeding from the eyes, Yunan suggesting he take her back.
Morgiana and
Yunan arrive to a funeral procession for Alibaba. The Fanalis listens to
Alibaba’s heart, being told he’s not breathing anymore and the full impact of
his death setting in.
We shift to
the Kou Empire’s army attacking Hakuryuu. Kougyoku is divided, since Judar was
someone she respected, as well as Alibaba. The others are participating, minus
Hakuei, whom Koumei comments is letting her emotions get in the way.
We get an
explanation about the status of things: Kouen has declared himself Emperor in
Gyokuen’s absence and declared Balbadd the temporary capital, while Hakuryuu’s
forces are waiting for Kouen’s army to arrive in their eastern area of
Rakushou.
The two
armies start to clash, but we shift scenes elsewhere.
Judar is
still flying through space, only able to survive because of his Borg. He thinks
he saw the giant that sent him flying before, referring to a battle back in
Balbadd before the timeskip.
Suddenly, the
Magi lands somewhere. He tries to fight off a monster, but his magic is
incredibly weak for some reason.
The chapter
ends as he’s saved by a weird diminutive doll like entity, that reveals itself
to be Alibaba, apparently existing in this place where Judar is.
One Piece 786
Everyone’s
amazed at Luffy’s victory over Doflamingo, though many wonder if it’s really
him, since the rumors seem to have spread in various ways as to his appearance,
some saying he was 8 meters tall, others probably remembering his original form.
But everyone
notices Bird Cage hasn’t disappeared. Luffy tries another attack, but stops
just short, collapsed and out of energy.
Jesus Burgess
notices this, jumping down, planning to take Luffy’s Gum Gum fruit.
Doflamingo
starts breaking apart the plateau where the palace is, still alive and getting
ready to fight back. Everyone else is running away from Luffy, still not
trusting him as a pirate.
But Gatz, the
announcer from the coliseum, approaches Luffy, figuring out he was Lucy from
the finals. He asks if there’s anything he can do to help, the Rubber Man
explaining that he needs 10 minutes, during which he can’t use Haki after
initiating Bound Man.
Gatz calls
the rest of the gladiators that weren’t willing to help Luffy over, the group
vowing to protect him so he can finally finish off Doflamingo and save
Dressrosa.
Burgess tries
to attack Luffy, but the chapter ends as we see Sabo appear, knocking him away
to save his brother.
Bleach 626
The group
starts to move in Yukio’s box towards the next location. Yoruichi had placed
another stake near where the Soul King’s seal had been broken, so they’ll
arrive there, hopefully without being noticed.
Chad asks
Yoruichi about Parnkjas’ power that affected her, the Soul Reaper not sure what
it was. Orihime thinks they should’ve asked Ichibei about the Quincy’s powers,
but Riruka chastises her, saying they shouldn’t be focusing on that, but on
what they can do now.
Ichigo asks
Grimmjow why he went to their side, the Arrancar saying that they just have a
common enemy. He wants to preserve Hueco Mundo so he can fight Ichigo there.
Haschwalth
notices that Juhabach has completely absorbed the Soul King. The group goes to
meet him, Askin amazed at the spread of the black substance that Juhabach has
assimilated with, almost in the entire room.
As Juhabach
turns around, we see his new form, eyes spread around his head surrounded in
the black mass. Askin pulls back, Haschwalth not even afraid.
Juhabach
notes that they should get used to this new appearance, also commenting on how
much excess power he has.
A blast
knocks everyone away, the Quincies scrambling to cling onto the rubble.
Haschwalth
speaks to Juhabach, saying that he is the only way to maintain stability with
the Soul King gone.
Juhabach
tells Haschwalth, as his first son (potentially his real son, we’re not sure),
that he should follow him as they begin to remake their kingdom. The chapter
ends as we see them starting to construct things differently, the Soul Palace
now intended for Juhabach’s reign.
Toriko 323
Kaka
continues her explanation, comparing the Earth’s process of being exposed to
meteors, having volcanic eruptions and ice ages and other such phenomena like
the Gourmet Solar Eclipse, as bringing out the flavor for it to be cooked.
The Earth has
constantly been growing, Kaka qualifying it as around 650+ times its original
size. Coco remembers when his Gourmet Cells reacted to the taste of the earth
at its core.
Every few
hundred years, the Earth releases some of the taste in the form of one of the 8
ingredients used in Acacia’s Full Course. It’s considered the World’s Full
Course, existing long before Acacia.
The Blue
Nitro and their slaves, the Red Nitro (which Kaka and Chichi are as well) have
been cooking the earth, though even they seem to have come after the Gourmet
Cells crashed into the Earth millions of years ago.
Kaka explains
that they are Monster Trolls born of the Gourmet Cells, Nitro a name given to
them by Acacia. They are like the Appetite of the Gourmet Cells made real.
Toriko notes
that the Four Heavenly Kings and Komatsu have Appetite Demons as well, though
it’s not clear if the Red and Blue distinction applies to them as well, since
Toriko’s are the only ones we’ve seen in that respect.
The reason
why Kaka, Chichi and Jiji all betrayed the Blue Nitro was because the true
purpose was revealed with Acacia’s appearance.
Each of the
Blue Nitro has a code name based on the ingredient they’re in charge of. PAIR
was originally something that came from the Earth, but Bambina’s ancestor drank
it dry and now PAIR resides in his descendants.
Acacia met
PAIR after seeing him try to meet the capture conditions. They ate a piece of
each other, PAIR discovering Acacia’s Gourmet Cell Demon.
Both humans
and Nitro are seen as vehicles for the Appetite Demons, manifestations of the
Gourmet Cells. They seek out new ingredients and when the host dies, they
become Food Spirits, looking for a new vehicle.
The true goal
of the Blue Nitro is to revive the Appetite Demon that lies within Acacia,
which possesses a great deal of power.
But before
Kaka can explain further, she’s attacked by another Blue Nitro who was able to
get into the Back Channel. The chapter ends as ANOTHER disappears, taunting the
group to find them in Area 6, where the next part of Acacia’s Full Course lies.
Fairy Tail 433-434
Natsu tells Arlock that Avatar can’t win, but Arlock
responds that all people age, the young not aware of the despair that awaits
them.
He fires a blast at Natsu, who deflects it. Arlock then
summons a wall that stops Natsu, but his own blasts still go through.
Natsu backs up, ramming into the barrier and smashing it,
shocking Arlock’s subordinates.
Arlock summons more walls and Natsu smashes through them,
punching the mage and defeating him in one blow.
The Avatar cultist laughs, saying that Natsu will still
lose. He summons Ikusatsunagi, the war god he made a contract with by burning
his face.
We see a huge vortex appear, a foot coming out that crushes
Avatar’s members.
Arlock explains that the sacrifice was the believers of
Avatar and Zeref, not the town, which was just a diversion.
We see the massive form of the monster, Erza commenting it’s
one of the 18 war gods of Yakuma, the clan referenced with Minerva of
Sabretooth’s magic called Territory.
The chapter ends as Natsu says he can’t forgive someone who
disregards his comrades like that.
The next chapter starts as we see Ikusatsunagi attack,
creating a huge crevice.
But the other members of Fairy Tail notice Natsu is running
up the sword, moving to attack the war god.
Arlock says it’s pointless, commanding his soldiers to give
up their lives for Zeref.
Natsu says that friends aren’t merely a means to an end,
that they’ll support you in hard times; while Arlock says they’re just meant to
serve your own ends.
The Dragon Slayer strikes the war god with a huge punch,
Arlock noting it’s impossible to defeat such a being.
But Natsu retorts that he’s gotten stronger so he’ll never
lose anyone again, striking with Demolition Fist, destroying the god in a
massive explosion.
The chapter concludes as we see Erza commenting on how
strong Natsu has become.
